Hazel’s Got a New Hour-Long Skewer Special | Eater DC

"On Tuesday, February 27 I learned that IHOP is offering guests a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at all area locations, with suggested donations directed to select charity partners." - Tierney Plumb

Taste Test: Dunkin’ and IHOP Breakfast Beers

"The pumpkin-pancake stout released as a breakfast-themed novelty looked the part—dark brown in color—but fell short on execution: it poured with almost no head and came across thin and underwhelming for a stout. Tasters said it tasted like what they imagined a Pumpkin Spice Latte beer would taste like and criticized the absence of pancake characteristics such as maple or buttery notes; one panelist called it “a hack job.”" - Nikita Richardson

IHOb Marketing Gimmick Tied to Burger-Menu Launch

"I watched IHOP temporarily rebrand itself as "IHOb" in a cheeky tweet as a promotional stunt tied to the debut of an "Ultimate Steakburger" menu; the menu includes seven fairly basic burgers — notably the Big Brunch and the Jalapeño Kick — and none of them are made with pancakes. The change felt like a marketing gimmick that is almost certainly temporary, and it prompted widespread negative reaction online: many people were disappointed the chain didn’t use the moment to become the "International House of Brunch" (or pursue a more creative direction), calling it a major missed opportunity and ridiculing the move across social media." - Chris Crowley

National Pancake Day Is the Only Worthwhile Food Holiday

"An annual National Pancake Day promotion offers a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes (typically worth about $4) through the evening cutoff (until 7 p.m.) in exchange for a suggested donation to one of three charity partners—Children’s Miracle Network, Shriners Hospitals for Children, or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The fundraiser has a history of large-scale impact: last year the chain gave away five million pancakes and set a $5 million goal to benefit children’s hospitals and health organizations nationwide, and patrons are encouraged, when possible, to add a few extra dollars to their tab to support the cause." - Clint Rainey

We had the most OUTSTANDING service from Elizabeth again today!! Not only did she remember us from last time, she once again had the sweetest, kindest personality by any server any of us can ever remember! No exaggeration, she made every one of us feel SO welcomed that she instantly had us all in a better mood within minutes! She was attentive, easy going, funny, and made what would have been an average meal, an EXCEPTIONAL one! There's no question that good service is few and far between these days, and Elizabeth not only met our (high) expectations - she absolutely EXCEEDED them in every possible way! If you are visiting this particular location, be sure to ask if Elizabeth is working and to be seated in her section - you will be so happy that you did!!! ❣️

It was a great experience, I went on a Sunday it was kinda busy and eventhough the wait was 25 minutes I got in under that time. My waitress was so sweet.

Haven't been to IHOP in awhile and happened to go on a holiday and it was rather packed. I'm not sure if it's usually as packed on a typical day or not. Fortunately we were able to be seated after not too long of waiting. The server attended to us right away and the service was good and friendly. Even it was a little busy, it didn't take too long to get our good. The portions were smaller than we expected and the taste was just average. I found that the coffee, which was $3.29, was a little weak. While McDonald's, 7Eleven and other breakfast joints offer $1 coffee, paying $3.29 for a rather watery coffee was a bit of a turn off for us. Despite the lackluster food and pricey coffee, we liked the service there.

This place has been serving the community for years! Ever since they tore down the Baby's R Us and split the entire lot up into these different businesses. This IHOP has never disappointed me! I am surprised with the pancake syrup offering being drastically reduced, but the Old Fashioned Syrup is just fine! They DO need to be more gentle with the utensils though, but still not a deal breaker! Good food, awesome staff! And the old 60s-70s music while you eat is interesting. Food came out right when the Shaft theme came on. "🎼Can you dig it? 🎵" Yes, I'm digging into my food right as you serenade me!

took me and my nephew for the $6 me u deal as advertised on TV, ended up costing us $32 for 2 orders each of their classic pancake, 1 sausage, 1 bacon, and 1 egg. Never coming back again
