Ikea Wants to Transition From Furniture Store to Lifestyle Brand - Eater

"One of the first things a friend told me after she visited the new Ikea was that the rooftop would make a pretty good location for a first date. There’s a nice view, plus a bar operated by the hostel that occupies the top two floors of the building. The food itself, though, tasted like it came from Ikea. The teriyaki sauce on the chicken meatballs was watered-down and the handbröd with vegetables, chives aside, tasted almost exactly like a pizza Hot Pocket. The plant balls make a suitable alternative to beef, especially when covered in gravy, but they’re tougher, clearly lacking the fat that make the classics juicy even when they’ve been sitting in a serving tray for hours. For the price — 5 euros ($5.80) for eight meatballs, 6.50 euros ($7.54) for 12 — they were good. The real standout, however, was a bag of pickled mushroom-flavored potato chips (0.80 euros, or $0.93) I got on a whim while waiting for the handbröd. Their flavor was reminiscent of salt & vinegar chips, with an extra depth thanks to the addition of dried porcini powder." - Emily Cohen

A good place for fast, cheap food and free coffee/tea with a membership. Can also access the rooftop for a great view of the city.

The Ikea at Westbahnhof is perfect for a cheap bite. Hotdogs start at just €1 and you can pile on as many toppings as you want. 🌭 On top of that, there are plenty of other snacks and meals under €5. Great option if you’re in the area and want something quick, filling, and budget-friendly.

A very interesting concept for a shop in the city center, as shops are usually located outside city limits or on the outskirts. It's a great solution for small accessories.

4th floor food court is cheap and good. Lots of seating. Unlimited drinks. Order comes out fast. AC for summer heat. Lots of furniture's to buy. Many displays of mock up of living rooms kitchens bathrooms and bedroom. Workers are all very helpful and kind. Best ikea in the world.

Nice big ikea in the city centre. Less set up rooms than other ikeas I have been to but I like that. Good range of products at affordable prices. We had lunch in the restaurant and enjoyed the meatballs and plantballs. Our orders did get mixed up (I ordered plant balls with mash and my partner ordered meat balls with chips and I got the chips while he got mash) but still good. We purchased a few items and enjoyed seeing the variety of items on display. Dog friendly 👌

What's not to like about Ikea? Everything is beautiful, value for money and so thoughtfully designed. Whether one goes for shopping a few items or sets for your home or office, it's hard not to buy more than what you need. The food items are good but I prefer Billa or Interspar when it comes to shopping for food items.

Not only do they have shitty quality products, but the customer service is a joke. It's very hard to contact them if something is wrong with the furniture or devices. I would strongly advise ordering furniture from companies that respect their customers and leaving Ikea for students.

Best place for simple & elegant home appliances, furniture & many more things at an extremely affordable price. I love Ikea.
