"We’d define Marylebone restaurant Il Baretto as a GLP - a great little place. But they’re also delivering GLP - good looking pasta. And as the name suggests, they’ve also got a bunch of excellent wines to choose from. Order here or call them direct to get 25% off with collection." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak

"This no-frills strip mall joint serves pizzas across the entire thin-crust to deep dish spectrum. Its homemade pasta concoctions – like fettuccine with charred tomatoes soaked in a white wine sauce – are also memorable. However, perhaps the most memorable thing about this family-owned joint is its staff. You’ll feel like family." - Jesse Scott

We were in the area and in the mood for fine Italian dining. We found This place through Google Reviews. We went for the deep dish pizza. It is a quaint spot, tucked in the back corner of an unassuming strip mall. The staff is overly friendly and very attentive. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to try the deep dish Chicago pizza as it requires about an hour to prepare. Not wanting to keep the staff late we opted for the thin crust instead. We also ordered the cheese ravioli, house salad, and the Polpette (meatballs). Everything was delicious, made from scratch, and left us very satisfied. We did see a family of four enjoying the Deep Dish, and we will be going back to try it. One thing that stands out was our time chatting with the owner and hostess Daisy. When I was a kid “Walking The Room” was a very important part of operating a restaurant. Sadly, this is a lost art form. Chefs and owners used to walk the room, ensuring that guests were satisfied, making social chit chat, and greeting regulars. It made us very happy to have Daisy come to our table to simply check in on us, and get to know us. She is lovely, her place is comfortable, the staff is professional and attentive, the prices are more than fair, and the food was delicious. We can’t wait to return.

First time here and have heard good things about it. This is tucked in the corner of the shopping plaza at the SE corner of Broward and University. I ordered the pumpkin cream soup to start (I made sure to ask if it was sweet because I don't like sweet unless it's a dessert). It was a delightful, delicious, and creamy pumpkin soup with a touch of cheese throughout. I did add a bit of salt midway and I preferred it with the salt added (which isn't a bad thing because many people don't like salt and it's an easily added flavor). This soup is a fan favorite that has been added to their daily menu and is no longer a special. For my meal, I ordered the Risotto Fruta Di Mare which is a special and not available every day. It was creamy with LOTS of fish. The shrimps were not skimpy and plentiful, along with the class, mussel, and calamari. I didn't realize it would be so creamy and I normally don't gravitate to creamy, but I enjoyed it. I know my husband and daughter will LOVE it because they enjoy the creamier dishes. I found out that my "server" was Deisy, the Colombian owner who loves wine and Italian food. She will not serve anything on her menu that she personally doesn't like and I found this to be true when I asked if her French onion soup was made with Swiss cheese. She said, "No, because I don't like Swiss." I immediately felt connected, because, I too, don't like Swiss and I love wine! Through more conversation, I found out that on the last Wednesday of every month, she "brings in" different wines and does a "Wine with Deisy" pairing with the different meals. I will be doing this!! And although I was already taken with her and her restaurant, I overheard her interaction on the phone with the take-out customers and it was the same bubbly and cheery personality. This is a wonderful, hidden gem and I can't wait to come back with Steve and Izzy (and anyone else who wants to join us). Note...it's beer and wine only.

My daughter was craving authentic spaghetti, but the location she wanted to visit was closed. Just as we were about to settle for tacos (still a great choice) we googled and found this Baretto in Plantation, Fl. If my daughter and I could give 10⭐️, WE WOULD!! Lunch with my daughter,, delicious food… I have officially eaten at the authentic Italian section of HEAVEN.!!

First time here. Food was very good but everything was ala cart. Desserts were very good. Did not order deep dish pizza as it takes one hour to make.

I am not a person to make reviews or posts for places we dine at unless it’s terrible and people should know. However, I am going to take some time to praise. We ordered their Calamari, breading was light and fluffy along with their calamari being super fresh. I decided to order the kids and dad’s favorite Italian pasta dish, fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. Wow!! The most delicious Alfredo I have ever had! And also ordered the Deep Dish to share among the table and absolutely scrumptious. The only thing I would change about this place is not knowing about it sooner!!! And this was takeout, so dining in must be amazing. Hubby and I are already planning a date night to taste some more dishes and enjoy a nice glass of wine! Thank you for making Tuesday’s dinner a hit!

Cozy neighborhood Italian restaurant with an open kitchen. The garlic rolls, linguini and clams and the Chicago style thin or deep dish pizza are must tries! The owner was very friendly and attentive to all customers. We will be back again.

Fantastic authentic Italian! The staff is extremely attentive, professional and committed to quality. The deep dish pizza is really special - heads up - you need to order the deep dish pizza an hour before you arrive. It takes that long to make! The thin crust pizza is fantastic as are their dishes and desserts. HIGHLY recommend.

Just picked up a “Carbonara” order from here, it’s not just fake carbonara it came out watery like an Alfredo sink water sauce at the bottom. Avoid at all costs this place is a scam and has great ratings because the people that are eating here don’t know what real Italian food is like and are being scammed. 1/10 if you’re starving you’re better off eating spam than sink water pasta.
