Il Gusto Della Nebbia - Review - Porta Nuova - Milan - The Infatuation

"Il Gusto Della Nebbia is a modern Sichuan restaurant in Porta Nuova that does an elevated take on Jiang Hu cuisine. Their standard menu and rotating specials are already spicy, but you can always ask for more. Don’t miss the chongqing noodles with pancetta ragù, or the century egg wrapped in featherlight edible gold. Service is chill but polished, and the wine list, curated by the co-owner of Trippa, features well-priced bubbles, whites, reds, and oranges. Reservations are essential—especially during fashion or design week." - Elizabeth De Filippo-Jones

Going here is an absolute surprise and should be made by everyone who enjoys Asian food. The stuff is super nice, open and friendly. The food it absolute delicious and enjoyable. We had two apperetives, which were very nice (see picture) and I had a very rich and tasty noodle soup with beef and (one huge) self made noodle. It was amazing! 🤩 The atmosphere there is also quite unique. It looks very modern, but also very cozy at the same time. Love it and we are considering to come back to Milano just for this! Give it a try, you won't regret it. 😉

We took the tasting menu and the Volcano tofu. Everything was delicious. The service was great and they explained to us about the food and ingredients when we asked

The staff were friendly and made us feel comfortable. We liked the wine, and the main dish with rice was well-prepared. The mochi for dessert was a nice touch. Overall, a solid experience — we’d consider coming back.

Had the centenary egg and the volcano tofu with meat broth. Both were super flavourful and delicious. Definitely very high quality for the price. Service was very good - quick and full of positive energy. The restaurant is small but the decor makes it feel very welcoming. Definitely recommended for an amazing meal that is not expensive.

This place is the temple of spice, holy flavor explosion! I find myself daydreaming about their food the moment I leave. They’ve awakened my taste buds like never before, unlocking a wild, beautiful world of heat and depth I didn’t even know I was missing. I swear, one bite and I was mentally booking a flight to Central China. Until that trip becomes real, I’ll be making regular pilgrimages back here

A great place with tasty food, we took noodles recommendation(pork and vegan options) as main dishes, and the tofu volcano as an addition with pickled radish and century egg starters. Pork noodles is a great umami dish, vegetarian was less great but still decent. Loved pickles and the egg. Tofu volcano was alright. Overall good experience, but there could be more vegetarian options, we kinda took almost all of them.
