The ice cream and sorbet are of great quality. Abandon options of flavors with reasonable prices! $4.5 for 2 flavors, $5.75 for 3 and $7.25 for 4 in cups. I tried chocolate mint, raspberry sorbet, pistachio and earl grey; all of them are recommended. Amazing little gelato shop!

I had rose and cucumber flavor last year and they’re so amazing. Today, I had Fuji apple and coconut (staff recommended!). My friend had pumpkin and blackberry. No more comments. Five stars. Why I know this place so late?

Gotta be one of my favorite gelato shops in New York! I was told that the lab has 300 flavors and they rotate them routinely, and I think this is what really makes them unique. I’ve been here three times and had pistachio/salted caramel (not pictured), roasted white sesame/earl grey, and black mission fig/red bean respectively. The first combo really is my choice of gelato of all time and never went wrong for me, but nothing was surprisingly good about it at this store. For the second one, I loved the roasted sesame flavor: it was nutty, rich, and fragrant, but the earl grey flavor despite my love for the tea was not impressive. Both red bean and black mission fig were excellent and really unique! I tried their green tea flavor once as well, which I liked, but didn’t order it for lack of interesting pairing at that time, and now I’m looking forward to pairing it with red bean, which may be almost as good as those in Japanese ice cream places!

I love this ice cream!! Ice cream is smooth and creamy, and sorbet are light and fluffy. You can get 8 scoops on a pint, which was about $15. Or tow scoops for about $5. No tasting ice cream due to Covid, but non of the flavors will disappoint! Will definitely come back and visit! Store was clean, staffs were patient and friendly!

Essential in its looks, as the name says a proper lab, mostly aluminium all around you and then its holiness the Gelato! It’s creamy as it must be. I’ve nothing to say about the cones as I’ve tried the cups only. I’ve not tried many other gelato places in NYC because mostly I’ve found that many other places make heavy use of colouring. Il laboratorio does not for what I can tell, so it gets my support.

Delicious. Have been to the other location as well. I love the flavors. The gelato is so fresh, smooth, flavorful, sweet but not overwhelming. I got the white sesame and birthday cake which were both amazing!!

I’ve been meaning to give them a try for quite some time. Finally got the chance to try them, great ice cream, definitely felt different from other ice creams i had, felt lighter less sugary. I had the honey lavender and turkish fig flavor, the turkish fig was absolutely delicious.

Best ice gelato in NYC hands down. So many flavors to choose from and good quality ingredients. My only regret is that I didn't indulge there more this summer.
