Il Lazzarone Review - River Market - Kansas City - The Infatuation

"Il Lazzarone is the type of pizzeria where people fight over the crust, so for the sake of keeping the peace, just order an extra pie right from the start. There are about 30 thin-crust pizza options to choose from, and while we could easily spend a day sampling all 30, the simple margarita—with that perfect combo of chewy and crispy—is the best.  If you come for lunch and start kicking yourself for not getting the pepperoni pizza with spicy honey, come back for a dinner pie and finish the night with some homemade ice cream or a boozy milkshake at next door." - Ryan Bernsten

Authentic Neapolitan pizzas—90‑second bakes in a wood‑fired Acunto oven—anchor this River Market mainstay. Officially certified by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana and praised by local critics for blistered crusts and imported ingredients.

My boyfriend and I love this style of pizza so we wanted to try this place! If you go during regular times it’s kind of pricey, but the pizza is really good and there are tons of options! We went during happy hour and that was the best decision ever. We had a couple pizzas to choose from and they were around $10 which was way more ideal for us! The service was awesome and the vibes are great and the pizza is super delicious! As pizza lovers, anytime we are back in Kansas City, we will probably stop by here if we get the chance!!

We flew into KS to visit and stayed downtown. After a short ride on the train and we were at Lazzarone (literally just feet from a stop) the place is nice and updated. We ordered 2 pizzas and a salad. We really enjoyed everything. Would definitely recommend

Google
Went to try this place out and got take out. The bartender was super nice. Got a drink and a pepperoni pizza. It was baked to perfection in their wood fire stone oven. Super crispy and perfect portion. It was very affordable and perfect personal size. It was 11 inch if I remembered correctly. I will definitely recommend this place and will definitely be coming back to try more items on their menu. Great experience

Google
We often see this place as we frequent Betty Raes, which is a few doors down. I've never been here until today. A group of 6 of us decided to grab lunch here. We were seated immediately and greeted by our server with cold waters. He was very helpful and informative. He made great suggestions. My husband and I ordered the Carne and Salissica Italaiana. They were both delicious and had great flavor. My husband's carne crust was a bit charred, and that was his only disappointment with his, but otherwise, everything tasted great. Our server was very attentive to our drinks and made sure we had everything we needed.

I don’t leave a lot of reviews, but I really really love this place and I really want it to be a five star. I love the location in the River market! The place has great energy and the staff genuinely seem to be happy working there. The only reason I can’t give it a five star on food is because the pizza is too soggy in the center. You can’t pick it up and eat it. At least this was the case the last two visits. I think either the crust needs to be just a bit thicker and/or baked longer. The taste is absolutely delicious! The ingredients are fresh! On service… It seems it’s a bit understaffed. The servers were great but they’re cutting pizza and hosting the front desk. So it’s a little slow to be seated and service can take a little bit longer than it should with the number of people in the restaurant at the time. Our salad was perfect! Drinks are great. I will still keep going to this place because I absolutely love the pizza. I will ask next time for it to be baked longer and see how it goes. XOXO

Google
Hung out in the bar in the back and had a great time. This pizza is legit as we had the D.O.C. and it was very authentic and delicious. Salads were great too and they have a good happy hour. Can't wait to come back and try the pizza Bianco.

Google
First time really loved it! Great service, the place is really clean and smell really good. Couldn't stop eating the pizza 😜 we're definitely making this place as our favorite pizza place!!!

Yelp
Food - 3.5/5 Service - 5/5 Atmosphere- 4/5 Staff were super friendly and helpful with choosing the right pizzas. A small complaint off the bat is that we were a table away from the wood-fire oven and could smell a little bit of smokiness. Regardless, we went into getting drinks: friend got a beer and I got some kind of elderberry spritzer (super yummy & refreshing)! We ended up ordering a margarita mascarpone and a la roccia (with tomato sauce) pizza. While both pizzas had good flavor. We had critiques: pizza crust was a little burnt (overpowering the flavor of the actual pizza), prosciutto was thicker than most and chewy, arugula was overcooked (wish it was added on at the end - have it be more of a topping) and the center was too soggy (making it hard to eat without it flopping over). Overall, it would be better now knowing what to expect if I visited again. Definitely looked like one of the better places to get Neapolitan pizza in KC.

Yelp
To all who are looking for upscale pizza - this is your new favorite. The options will have you wishing you looked at the menu before you came, and that applies to the food and the drinks. The space is open while still feeling intimate and if you're looking for a tan instead of the cool kiss of AC, they have your back. The paved and sizable patio allows you to enjoy your space and private conversation while still being actively served. The pricing seems high, until you see the pizza come out. One pizza can comfortably serve 2 adults, but it's so good you'll want leftovers. For all the lovely gluten free folks, there is still pizza paradise for you in the crust switch up options. The service team is a sweetheart crew with a lovely presence and a personable touch. They are spinning a lot of plates, so bring a little patience if you're asking for extras, but the dishes come out fast, hot, and fresh. As for the beverages, beer ranges from basic to bougie and the cocktails scream classy. On a date or just for fun you'll be dazzled by Il Lazzarone.

Yelp
I'm not sure why I took so long to visit, but I guess good things come to those who wait. I won't call myself an expert on traditional Neapolitan pizza, but I know what I like. We went with two pies - one red sauce and the other white sauce - and left with happy plates. Service was good. The room is a bit plain, so the sound bounces around the room. It may be hard to hear during peak times.

Yelp
That thin charred crust and the late night happy hour specials! Great spot for sharing pizza, salads and bevies with your favorite people!! Street parking, street car, lots of ways to get here. They have a front restaurant and back bar space to check out. Check it out!

Yelp
Wow! Best Neapolitan pizza in the area! We stopped in on a Friday night and got seated right away. The restaurant is located in a charming, historic building right on the street car line. Both inside and outside seating areas. The menu offers antipasto, salad, and red or white pizza options. They carry a rotating drink selection which makes finding the perfect beer or wine a breeze. We tried the salad, supremo pizza, and The Goat and The Pig appetizer. All was the perfect amount of food for the two of us to enjoy. Our pizza came out within 10 minutes and was delicious. The brussel sprouts were delicious on the pizza. I highly suggest adding honey to your goat and the pig appetizer. It takes it to another level.

Yelp
Such a great place for a casual date night. Our server gave great recommendations (you should get the margherita mascarpone pizza... so good) and had a great menu of apps, pizzas and drinks. We've sat both inside and outside here and enjoyed both.

Yelp
I remember this spot from nearly a decade ago bursting on the scene with the modern urban vibes and unique, authentic pizza. I was really, really hoping it still held up after all these years and am happy to report: it's fantastic! We took our girls here recently on a little KC exploration day; parents, you know the drill. Streetcar. Union Station. Lunch. Avoiding naps. Maybe some ice cream. When we walked in, it was silent, empty, and the guy bussing tables/running host seemed a bit stressed. Weary after several downhill experiences post-Covid, I started thinking this spot might've lost it's fastball. Turns out, everyone was just out on their side patio enjoying the beautiful day, and that's where we went as well to soak up the sun and the energy. We got some basics that tasted anything but basic; a margherita D.O.C. pizza (San Marzano tomatoes, mozzarella di bufala, basil, extra-virgin olive oil, sea salt) and a bianca white pizza (mozzarella, extra-virgin olive oil, garlic, basil, sea salt). Folks, this was the good stuff. The garlic popped from the white pizza and brought so much flavor. The kids were blown away by the bubbly, salty crust. It is truly one of those pizzas that you don't need to bog down with ingredients ... a real "less is more" situation. Already can't wait to go back, and honestly wish they'd expand a bit further south so we could go here more often.

Yelp
Great pizza spot! Service was quick. Plenty of seating. My only angst was the pizza not coming out as hot as I'd like Vegan friendly

Yelp
Thrilled to have been able to try Il Lazzarone as most websites are in agreement that it's the top pizza spot in Kansas City! Dad and I can agree that the pizza had a delicious and fresh taste! However there is some 3 star energy to note. To start, the inside ambience is off-putting. A wide open space with loud music that echoes guests' conversations, no intimacy. We were asked to be seated outside and were seated at a table that had bird droppings on it :( . Our service was okay. The bruchetta, $11, was different than the traditional. It was served over cut up pizza crust, a fork is necessary to eat it. Lastly, the pizza came out and we had to finsih cutting it as it wasn't cut through then as we separated the first slice from the pie, all of the toppings slipped off. It remained difficult to eat through the end because it was floppy and wet. Not really sure what happened there. Next time in Kansas City we will give another pizza spot a shot. (:

Yelp
I love pizza. Thick crust, thin crust, red sauce, white sauce, you name it and I love it. And Il Lazzarone is at the top of the list for pizza. They make a thinner crust with delicious fresh toppings and cook it in a really hot domed pizza igloo looking thing. And it is super delicious. The pizza is about 14 inches across and cut into four large slices. Three slices usually fill me up, but it is so delicious I sometimes eat the last piece, stuffing myself to beyond full. I usually order the Margherita while my wife prefers the Quattro Formaggio, a white sauced pizza with four different cheeses. The interior walls are the buildings original brick, with some interesting industrial accents. It is on the smaller side inside so get there early for some great pizza.

Yelp
Food: Pizza was good. Definitely what you would expect. Nothing extraordinary memorable. Service: although the staff was friendly, they did not pay attention to details. I forgot the name of the pizza ordered, but it was supposed to come with prosciutto and fresh basil leaves when the pizza came out it did not have any basil leaves on it. I asked the food runner why there was no basil leaves on it and he said he was sorry but they ran out. You would think the server would tell me when I placed the order. Either she forgot to mention it or there's a lack of communication between the kitchen and the server. This is very disappointing to me because there's only two items on the pizza and you're missing one of them. The restaurant was an open space, dining room, playing good oldies music. Very chill relax vibe. If you're in the mood for this type of pizza, I do recommend this place.

Yelp
I am giving this place 4 stars due to the overall experience! We walked in and were promptly sat and given water but then no one interacted with us for 15 minutes, like our waitress would walk by but not look at us until finally she came up and asked what we would like. This was odd because there were only like two other tables in use, and we could openly see she wasn't busy. She was nice when we did interact. The restaurant itself was open and clean. We liked seeing the brick oven That said, the pizza was brought us insanely quick and was so so fresh and exactly as described. I got the crepa and my husband got the pepperoni. We felt the pricing was solid for the portion. I got the limoncello cocktail and didn't care for it, it was too heavy.

Yelp
This is one of my go-to spots for pizza in the city! They have something for everyone and their red sauce is absolutely delicious. They have indoor/outdoor seating and I love to sit on the patio in the summer. The staff is always helpful and provides their favorites if you are looking for a recommendation. The location is perfect if you are wanting to keep the evening going and walk somewhere nearby for a drink or desert.

Michael S.

Yelp
Four stars because the pizza was pretty good. Not the best but a solid oven fired pizza. Service was okay but the wait staff did the bare minimum. Disinterested service was okay because I was by myself but would have been very annoying if I was eating with others. Place was over half empty and I was seated next to the side exit and cleaning supplies. Overall a soft four stars.

Yelp
I love eating pizza at Il Lazzarone. It's fun to be able to watch dough prep and baking. I don't know how this restaurant doesn't always have a line out the door. The dining room is quiet and great for having conversation while dining. Everything I've ate here is always delicious.

Yelp
We absolutely loved our experience at Il Lazzarone! Took a friend up on her recommendation, and so glad we did! Pizza was incredible, environment was wonderful, everything tasted amazing, and pizzas were cooked in a very reasonable amount of time. I learned they have a GLUTEN FREE crust if you ask for it! It's not on the menus though. (Why isn't it on the menus?? No idea!) However, just double check if you're really sensitive since all the pizzas are cooked in the same oven to my knowledge. The only recommendation we had was that the tomatoes on the burrata appetizer needed some seasoning. They were a little under ripe, and didn't even have salt on them. Salt, pepper, and olive oil would really lift those tomatoes up to complement the pesto and the rest of the wonderful dish! Thank you for a wonderful meal!!

Yelp
Came here on a whim looking for late night pizza slice. No slices but they serve 12in/4 slice pizza. The front end was closed when we arrived at 1030 but the bar area was open. We sat there with the intention to get our pizza to go. We ordered glasses of wine which were soo full! We decided to stay and eat some of our pizza. We got the Margherita and formaggio. So good!!! The wine was also really good it was the nero, the last one on the red menu. The vibe was real nice as well. Good service.

Yelp
I am constantly here now that I live in River Market. This is (maybe?) some of my favorite pizza in Kansas City. I love a pizza with a lot of charred flavor. If you don't like char marks on your pizza crust, this may not be the place for you. But if you love crispy burnt crust straight out of the pizza over with hot cheese and delicious toppings to balance out the char, you will love it as much as I do! They have a huge menu, and I haven't been disappointed with anything I've ordered. I recommend getting one red and one white pizza and share it with a friend! I hate a pizza that is floppy/soggy and isn't fully cooked under the toppings, and somehow Il Lazzarone pizza always stands up to the challenge! If you're doing carry out or an online order, proceed to the bar in the back! The only drawback of coming here is they always seem swamped and understaffed. Half the tables are always dirty, and it can take a long time to get your food because everything goes through the one pizza oven. If you do carry out, the estimated time is never right. You're always left waiting in the bar for a while. It's no fault to the great staff who are always helpful and kind! The parking situation is a struggle. There's paid angle parking on Delaware, and otherwise you'll have to hunt for street parking which can be a challenge on weekends. Leave early to find a spot. The restaurant is located pretty much immediately next to the River Market West streetcar stop!

Yelp
The vibe here is very casual yet intimate with the low lighting and good music. The pizzas are great! Got the marg, for Maggie, and funghi. Delicious! Our server was good as he was quick and attentive. Kinda small so maybe not for big groups. Yes to carry out
google avatar

Yelp
I went to Il Lazzarone for the first time on Wednesday and enjoyed it. There is indoor and outdoor seating, we chose to sit outside and loved it! The service was a little slow, but understandable when they are busy. They were very kind and helpful, we really enjoyed our server! I had the Margherita pizza on their gluten free cauliflower crust. this option was not in the menu, but when we asked the server they were accommodating! the only thing was that the edges were burnt and the inside was soggy. it still tasted delicious and i would have ordered it again. overall, i definitely recommend this restaurant and could see myself going back!
google avatar

Yelp
Came here for a birthday party on the patio and the experience was great! Service was fantastic, people were great and the food/drinks were awesome. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
Sub-par food. The servers there are more interested with their phones and rolling silverware. There was a laundry basket in the dining room. I asked whatever server for a box- never came- waited 20 minutes before I had to finally walk up and have them run my card. What a waste of money. This place used to be amazing.
google avatar

Aaron S.

Yelp
Solid pizza spot. Great location in KC's River Market, you'll love the atmosphere with lots of great places nearby. There's usually a good crowd when we've gone but we haven't experienced much of a wait, so my hat's off the hard working staff here. We like to get the pepperoni and add the hot honey. I wouldn't say it's spicy but it adds a nice kick. Overall great flavor to the pizza. Pretty impressive menu with likely something for everyone.
google avatar

Amanda S.

Yelp
We ate here on a Thursday evening. It was busy but not too busy. The food was superb! I'm from the east coast and I'm always looking for great pizza here. This is top notch, delicious pizza. Don't miss the burrata with pesto either- that was fantastic. The vibe is very low key - love the exposed brick walls. Great food, great service- a wonderful place to spend time together. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
First, I'll confess to bias. I lived 35 years in NYC and have eaten the best of everything NY has to offer -- especially pizza. Also, I bake a naturally leavened pizza at least once a week in my own hand-built oven using the best ingredients that I can have shipped or bring in from Brooklyn. IL's pizza is just OK. Yes, they appear to be using fine ingredients (though I couldn't vouch for the mozzarella), but there are two glaring faults. To start, they're not careful with the bake. I was there early in the afternoon on a Sunday, so perhaps the oven wasn't hot enough yet. Cheese and crust on one side were undercooked (and, yes, I know what to expect w/re pooling). Second, they've succumbed to the need to treat their pizzas as bar food to sell more drinks. My Margherita DOC was almost too salty to bother eating, with the salty taste lingering long after swallowing. As bar food goes, it was decent, but I'm not a fan of bar food, so it gets 2 stars.
google avatar

Marissa S.

Yelp
Just good, not great! The food was filling, and portions generous, but flavor was lacking and the meal wasn't entirely memorable. But I did enjoy the thin, almost Neapolitan style pizza crust. The building is large, chilly, and minimalistic - the bare brick walls, and open space made for an awkward ambiance. Very much a chain restaurant feel on the inside, akin to a chipotle. Service was fast, but nothing special/personable. Overall, this place kept me full and satisfied my pizza craving, but it didn't blow me away. Probably won't be a repeat pizza spot for me, but not a bad option if you're looking for a quick bite in the river market.

Audrey B.

Yelp
Love a good oven fired pizza! Pizzas were very flavorful and cooked perfectly. We came during happy hour
google avatar

Enrique C.

Yelp
Good pizza... very good place for the "thin crust" lovers. The pizza feels artisan and the ingredients are of good quality (I wish they are not so cheap on the amount of the toppings). My reason for the 3 stars is mostly the service and atmosphere. I've been there 4 times and the service has not been the best... I had to call the waitress too many times to refill my soda while she was talking to her friends in the bar. I understand that maybe they have low lighting to make the place "cozier" but the decoration and furniture doesn't make a comfortable place to eat and hang around. If you are in downtown, I would say this is a good pizza to come.
google avatar

Elle M.

Yelp
Upon coming here multiple times, I'd say that Il Lazzarone is a bit hit or miss. On my first visit, I was amazed by the crispiness of the crust despite how many toppings there were. It's so easy for pizza like this to become wet or soggy during the cooking process, and I was impressed by the quality of what came out. On my last few visits, all of the cheese and toppings has continually slid off or come out soggy. I still come here because the pizza can be delicious (I still live and die by the Crepa) and the crust is unbeatable, but if you're looking for something consistent with reasonable service, it's not here.
google avatar

Chris L.

Yelp
The pizza here is as good as Italy! You've gotta go to this place if you're craving pizza. Fire baked. Great service. Good salad and tiramisu.
google avatar

Kira B.

Yelp
I'm here all the time because it's yummalicious. Get the cranberry orange spritz!!!!!!! All appetizers are 10/10. I definitely recommend!

Yelp
A bit disorganized at first, but once things started rolling it was excellent. The thin Neapolitan style pizza (I had the Marinara) was delicious all around. The old school pepperoni with the crispy edges made me very happy too. Had a Peroni with a sidecar of Negroni - that drink combo had never occurred to me before but it totally worked. And the barrel-aged Surly Darkness ... what?! Amazing. So for those keeping score at home, that's excellent pizza and excellent drinks. (Gracie enters stage left) Now we add excellent service for the hat trick. At first it was an oddly long wait for a table despite the restaurant looking half full at best (maybe the kitchen was backed up?) and then even once seated it took a while to get service. These two odd waits are the only reasons this isn't a 5-star review. But then Gracie showed up and made everything awesome. Total star. She's what you want a server to be: kind, enthusiastic, proactive, accurate, helpful, just perfect. I'm not often in KC but I'll happily come back here when I am. It's a low key place that's just right when you simply want a tasty pizza and a nice drink to go with it.

Benjamin C.

Yelp
Staff is sometimes awesome sometimes completely forgets you are there. Depends on who's working. Pizza is soggy and needs special ordered to be really enjoyable. Most recently there seems to be a problem with the owners idea of what is required under the ADA to have a service animal. Been going there for a year. Will not again.
google avatar

Tiffanie E.

Yelp
Tiny little pizza place on the link line in KC. Interesting flavor combinations. We got white pizzas with cheeses and toppings. Their frozen drink was a frozen mint julep which didn't sound too awesome, so we skipped that & opted for Nutella dessert pizzas. The chairs are not comfortable. They're metal. They're narrow. I'm pretty sure they're designed to get you to leave, not stay & chat. We were seated in that yucky spot in the aisle / kitchen walkway. Not a fan of those spots if your restaurant is not packed. Just not a vibe. The food was ok. A little salty, but the crust was crispy! We ended up waiting an extra long time for our dessert because the kitchen didn't realize they were out of Nutella. ‍ Not bad, but excited to try other local hot spots for sure!

Yelp
I tried this for the first time a year ago on a Kansas City trip, and it's my go-to every time I come back. The pepperoni pizza with hot honey is absolute perfection. I've been a few times now and they always seat me and my party immediately and have great service. The environment is perfect for meeting with friends, going on a date, or just eating alone. If you go, definitely try the pepperoni pizza with hot honey!

Yelp
There's at least one other of these, in St Joseph. I suggest going there rather than this one, where the employees seem to have been given no instructions. Some examples: 1) we were served a large salad for the table to share but needed to ask for plates. When they arrived one very obviously had not been washed. 2) we attempted to order a rum from the bartender, who then informed us that they were very busy, she didn't have time to ask the manger the price, and that there was no way she could serve us rum. 3) we ordered 4 pizzas. 3 arrived. A bit later the server announces that one has been burned and is being remade. That pizza arrived well after the other three people had finished their meals. The space itself is loud but does offer good views of the streetcar line.
google avatar

Kristen M.

Yelp
Don't skip the Nutella pizza! We went on a week night and while there was tons of tables, there wasn't a ton of staff. Food is good, if you are hungry, I recommend ordering a pizza a person. Nutella pizza is my fav and will order anywhere I can!

Yelp
Was recommended to try this place by our bartender yesterday. I love authentic Neapolitan pizza and it's hard to find an authentic place in KC so I decided to give this place a try. I never know what to order when it comes to beverages so our waitress recommended the house Negroni. If you are a fan of gin, you will enjoy this cocktail a lot. Me, on the other hand, I do not like gin and probably wouldn't have ordered this had I known it contained it haha. It was very bitter but had a small sweet taste to it. 2/5 stars on this personally, for me. Now the pizza, was pretty delicious! I would opt out of the tomatoes next time because I felt it took away from the texture of the pizza but the flavor combination was on point! The crust wasn't too bad either, kind of resembled the original crust flavor from Spin. Excited to come back and give this place another try!

Paul F.

Yelp
OK. So this was my second time there. Last one was back in like 2018 when they were all hyped up with the 1000+ degree oven and Neapolitan pizza. It was fine back then. But tonight on 4/26/24 we came in to get a basic red sauce pizza with Pepperoni and Sausage. How can that get screwed up? Well it can. The oven must not have been up to temp. ANY pizza slice that you pick up that droops down from the crust is BAD even for Neapolitan style. I had to roll the slice up to make it edible. My wife could not even eat a slice. There is a "Neapolitan Pizza" place in St. Louis that made the same mistake. Drooping slices is BAD. The toppings fall right the hell off. The staff waitress was VERY nice though. She adjusted the bill to exclude the pizza past our drinks and she got a 100% tip.

Yelp
I don't throw "The A Word" around casually. So when I use it, it represents what I consider to be THE BEST in terms of quality, technique and product. This establishment has taken every step to ensure a truly authentic and high quality Neapolitan-style Za. From their oven made in Naples to the finest flour available to sauce made from San Marzano tomatoes! That's why I'm comfortable saying this place is a truly ARTISANAL experience that one should not miss. We look forward to returning with friends so that we can share the love that they deliver to their customers day in and day out.

Yelp
This review was about my experience at the back bar on a Saturday. It wasn't Ian or Taylor bartending but a guy with a man bun type hairstyle. Ok- I order a pizza to go at the bar and am very clear with my instructions about pizza being well done etc. I order a beer while I wait and the bartender aggressively pops the cap to the point where the beer is overflowing with foam and serves it to me that way- no napkin, doesn't ask if I want a glass, no water. Give more Saturday shifts to Ian and Taylor please not this individual. Put him on your bteam bartending team.

Yelp
Been here years ago in the pizza was great. This time the pizza was soggy and wet. The waitress brought us the wrong pizza to begin with, but replaced it at no charge so that was good. However, the hostess looked very preoccupied and had headphones in the whole time. All the waitresses looked like they were dressed for a late home movie night

Yelp
Grabbed pizza with the foodies club at my school for dinner. We came on a Tuesday night, and it was dead. We had a group of 8 people and had no problem getting a table. My husband and I shared a half salad and a pizza. Both were delish. You can't go wrong with a pesto pizza. Service was kind and quick.

Yelp
This place was delicious! I couldn't stop eating the pesto pizza. The crust was so soft I couldn't get enough! Staff was great, they gave us an extra pizza because the first one wasn't big enough, score!!

Yelp
Consistently my top choice for pizza in KC. On a nice day, the patio is the place to be. Great staff, great food, great vibes.

Yelp
The food was amazing! Make sure you are detailed with your order, the service can get tricky with how many different pizzas there are. The vibe is fantastic, the ambiance is very hip and classy.

Yelp
At least once a week my fiancé asks me if we can go to Il Lazzarone. Needless to say, it is our go-to personal pizza spot. Il Lazzarone is one of only 77 locations in the United States with official Neapolitan wood-fired pizza certification, using only four simple ingredients in the dough and cooking the pizza in under 90 seconds. They also offer a full bar with skilled baristas. For date night, we love sitting in the back bar area; for group outings, the main dining room; and, of course, the patio for gorgeous days. I always get La Rughetta or classic Margarita and my fiancé always gets the Carne. We don't need the parking lot (because we are grateful to live walking distance) but if you do need to park there is street parking on Delaware (if you're lucky).

Yelp
Ordered for carry out: margarita pizza, supremo pizza, pane, and burrata. All were amazing. Totally recommend. Great Italian style pizza.
