I was so solo, so I sat the bar, the three gentlemen working behind the bar were all excellent and worked fantastic as a team. Stephen helped me the most picking out perfect bourbon and making the best old-fashioned I’ve ever had. I also had the best octopus appetizer I’ve ever had and the best squid seafood pasta I’ve ever had. All the pastas are made in house. They helped me pair my pasta with a beautiful Tenuta Italian wine. Everybody sitting around me was friendly and happy and the place had a really nice vibe. Anytime I’m in Tallahassee will definitely come back here.

Great atmosphere and great vibe! Met a customer for a drink while on a business trip for a drink and then stayed for dinner with my family. We split a few entrees and everything was delicious. They got the baked Alaskan dessert and I opted for the cannoli. I recommend this place!

The red snapper piccata was cooked to perfection, we also tried the wagyu which had a great medium cook as recommended by the server. Top 5 in Tallahassee restaurant wise definitely recommend.

While visiting the Capitol for some meetings we had an amazing night out at IL Lusso. Stephen and Eli were our primary servers and both did an excellent job catering to our every need. We started with the grilled octopus. After recently having it in Greece we were hopeful it would live up to that experience. It did. It was cooked to perfection! Notice the size of the sides. We mistakenly ordered three sides for two people. We were not prepared for the amount of food they brought! We enjoyed a great steak and Zucchini pasta for our main course. We capped off the night with their seasonal cheesecake special. If you are celebrating something special or looking for a high quality meal make sure to give them a try.

UPDATE 5 -20-2025 STILL to this day food is unexpected pleasures. If you ask for Syre he will give you the ultimate experience. Ask for the kitchen view. Its like dinner and a show. Thanks as always Syre. 1st Class establishment....is an understatement. Tallahassee has never experienced a dining experience like this. I experience a taste experience like no other ever. And I have traveled the country people. We are lucky to have tis hidden gem on food and atmosphere. KALEIY AND SYRE will show you the way!!!!!! And please ask for the Clifton as your cocktail. It's named after me. And please request Kailey she will guide to the menu. And please let her know that cliff showed you the way to true decadence. And please tip your server well like I always do. Excellent service, food and atmosphere! I was positively surprised with all the special attention me and my wife received celebrating our anniversary there! We loved everything and especially the following of my special request by the staff when reserving the table. The location is great! The experience of exquisite cuisine which is prepared and served by very knowledgeable and tactful team is well worth coming here for any special or daily occasion. I would recommend it to anyone with sense of taste for great dining experience.

Everything was perfect! Came for New Year's Eve and had a perfect server, perfect drink, perfect starter, second and main course.. had to take my steak and Sweets to go as we were going to the NYE Party at Eve on Adam's and you need to get there early. I will definitely return.

Food was delicious, and plated beautifully. Our server Eric was extremely knowledgeable and very fun to be around. The cocktails were so flavorful. The restaurant was clean and had lots of stunning natural light. We had an amazing time. Would definitely return.

Outstanding expresso martinis...best I've ever had! Fantastic atmosphere, sub par service...didn't get our wine that we ordered in advance in time for our meal.

This is a lovely restaurant in Tally and every dish ordered was fantastic. The mushroom arancini was so very good as was the panzanella salad. I had the zucchini stuffed pasta, my son had the cacio e pepe and husband, the stuffed chicken breast. The vibe is upscale and the service was super friendly and attentive. I took a star off because I was stoked to try the tomato Gorgonzola soup but it's made with veal stock? That's entirely unnecessary. And the entrees took quite awhile to come out but we still look forward to a return visit.

Last weekend we had the pleasure of attending Cleaver & Cork a fundraiser for TCC. Il Lusso was there and I was so impressed with their eggplant parm I made a reservation for this evening for my husband and I. We arrived at 7:15pm and sat on the patio. Took a few minutes for our server to come by, but we got water right away. We ordered drinks & they brought us some focaccia and olives. Another couple arrived and was seated by us about 15 min later. We ordered a ceasar salad and two pasta dishes - I ordered the bucatini carbonara (half order) and my husband got the porcini tortellini (full order). Our salads came and were pretty drenched in oil, but we added salt and pepper and moved on. We patiently waited for our pasta as we watched the couple next to us get their meals. We waited some more. They did refill our waters several times, so there's that! The table next to us has now finished their meals and we are still waiting. Our food finally arrived at around 8:50pm. My half order of bucatini was spaghetti and my husbands full order included 10 very delicious tortellini. $27 for 10 tortellini seemed a bit steep and I'm not sure if they thought maybe we wouldn't realize that my dish was spaghetti (bucatini is hollow, spaghetti is not), but after waiting that long for food it wasn't worth asking. The manager must have been told we waited forever because he came out and offered us free dessert. We accepted and asked for coffee while we waited. Ordered a simple tiramisu - got our coffees, but they were gone by the time our tiramisu arrived 20 minutes later. Paid our bill, got our car and left at 9:30pm. Also, if you have bucatini on your menu - make sure that's what you serve Il Lusso, I really wanted to love you, but I think we are one and done.

I absolutely loved the dining experience! Per usual, I was traveling on business to Tallahassee and sat at the bar. The staff made me feel like family and gave great suggestions. I do recommend the Wagyu Denver. Treat yourself! It was cooked to perfection. Great Wine list as well. I will definitely come back back the next time I am in town.

Food was very good and service was excellent. Good wine selection as well. Summer salad was very refreshing and pasta was solid. Will Return.

Food: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Ambiance 10/10 This place is a gem!! Every part of this dinner was incredible. Make a reservation before going, it is worth it. From the food, to the quality service, this place is definitely a dress up place. Date night, celebration or just a nice night out, give this place a try. I cannot say enough about the Caramel Mocha Baked Alaska! Definitely recommend you give this dessert a try!

II Lusso was a fantastic restaurant that exceeded my expectations in every aspect. The food was delicious. We ordered the Brussels Sprouts, Baked Alaska, Pappardelle, and the Prime Delmonico Ribeye. The Pappardelle and Baked Alaska were the table favorites. The ambitious was a welcoming upscale modern airy restaurant furnishing Italian-style meat, seafood mains, pasta, and small plates. What truly set this place apart was the superb service. The attentive staff checked on the table often and never made the party feel rushed in any way. The staff was genuinely eager to ensure customer satisfaction. The restaurant was on the expensive side, but I would highly recommend this restaurant for a wonderful evening meal where you will be taken care of and fed to your hearts dizier.

The food was great, the service was outstanding! Nice ambiance, we had the lobster mezzaluna and the pasta bolognese, both were delicious! Started with the app special which was a scallop tartare dish. Had a yummy cocktail too, but it was seasonal so not on the regular menu but it was really good! For dessert we had the baked Alaska. It was good, but not outstanding. Overall, a great experience, we will be back!

This place is legit. The food is absolutely top notch and their wine selection is great, even by the glass! Bartenders were very friendly and made good recommendations. They even have a solid bourbon selection at slightly-higher-than-reasonable prices, but not as bad as they could be. If I'm ever in Tallahassee, I'm eating here again!

I didn't have a reservation with the place but they were able to take my friend and I in last minute which was great. The ambiance of the place was so relaxing as the waiting area was spacious and had comfy seats. We has a couple appetizers and their sashimi special, which tasted amazing, especially their pork belly and octopus! Our server was so kind to us and gave us time to talk and look over the menu! Definitely will be coming back!

Finally got to try Il Lusso out. It was a VERY unique and enjoyable experience that we decided to try on a special occasion. Our server was beyond professional and kind. They took their time explaining and making suggestions that were spot on to our preferences. The food was delicious and timed to perfection. I think the restaurant doesn't just serve amazing food but they give you a beautiful dining experience.

Over all I had a wonderful experience here while I came into town. I was looking for a non chain restaurant and was able to get a reservation last minute on a Friday night. The ambiance of the restaurant was awesome if you're ok with loud spaces. The reason it was not a 5 star was due to lack of attentiveness on the drinks considering we had 2 servers. One mains server and one in training. If your looking for recommendations; I would say the Pork chops.

Decided to try out a new place I have never been for my birthday. First off I recommend making reservations cause this place is very popular. When we arrived we were immediately seated, due to having a reservation. This place is very nice and if you are looking for fine dining this is it. We were given complimentary bread which was tasty and it is served with olives. The waitress gave us a full overview of the menu once we let her know we was first timers. We ordered the calamari for an appetizer and it was fantastic. For entrees most of my party ordered steaks so I decided to have the seafood pasta and ordered the chicken entree as well. Everything we ordered was great and the service was fantastic. Because it was my birthday they even put a candle on the dessert I ordered. While the food is a little pricey, eating here is an experience like no other.

Nicest restaurant in Tallahasssee by far. One of the best steaks I've eaten in my life. Service was amazing and their drinks are delicious. If you want to be spoiled go to Il Lusso!

This is an Italian style resturant. They have a limited menu but this is due to quality. The food is absolutely delicious. I had the lamb pasta, and my daughters had the squid ink pasta and my wife the pasta with Boulognese. All superb. The wait staff were very educated on the offerings even down to the desert wine my daughter tried. We also had desert Tiramasu and a desert that I think called a volcano with marshmallow coconut and ice cream. The atmosphere is very romantic and group friendly at the same time. cost is $$$$ so be ready. however I must say worth every dime. If near this place it's a must

Wow, I lived in Tallahassee for a number of years and could never find a restaurant that exuded class and prestige all in one. How shocked I was to find this! I was in town for a couple of work meetings and was treated to dinner at Il Lusso. All I could say is wow. The layout of the restaurant is awesome and it's located in the downtown area of Tallahassee. Although restaurants like Andrew's, Harry's or Level 8 are pretty, they don't really have that true "fine dining" experience. We came in for dinner and were served by a gentleman name Ser, I believe. he was an excellent server and was very knowledgeable about the menu and everything they had . I ended up getting the 10oz Wagyu Denver and the truffle potatoes. They were EXCELLENT. The meat was perfectly cooked and the potatoes were extremely fluffy and flavorful. We all split a bottle of red wine and had a great time. Next time I am in town with the wife, we are definitely taking a visit.

Food, service & ambience were awesome . Need to make reservations. There is always a crowd there. Servers were very attentive & friendly. It's a little pricey, but worth it . Highly recommend.

The server was very friendly. The appetizers were the best part of the meal. I ordered a steak and lobster tail. The lobster tail was extremely salty, I would not recommend ordering the lobster tail.

Valet parking was easy to find. Quick service and all. The drinks were the best I have had in Tallahassee. The pick me up (espresso martini) was phenomenal. I had the Rigatoni and was delish. Although, I will say for the price, there is better food options in town. Overall a good experience.

I had dinner tonight with my wife and two other people. I have been to this restaurant many times and always had positive experiences. Tonight's visit left my wanting. First of all, Brittany, our server, was great. My issue was with the kitchen. It took over an hour and a half from first order to receive our fish dinners. (Thank goodness three of us ordered appetizers.) My fish was lukewarm - meaning it had been sitting a while in the kitchen before being given to the server. Also, my wife's fish was dry and over-cooked with no accompanying sauce whatsoever. I will return in the future but my wife will never come back. It was her fifth time eating there and all of her experiences were underwhelming. Restaurant management should address these issues with the kitchen.

Everything here is so good. We got the Brussels sprouts and meatball appetizers. The Brussels sprouts were good but I preferred it to be more crunchy. The meatball was excellent, a little spicy. I didn't care much about the polenta in the meatball much. For entrees, I got Cioppino. It was so delicious. The Cioppino's broth was yummy. I love the tomato ness of it lol. The bread that went with the dish was also nice. My friends got their pasta dishes and they were all good. They cooked the pasta just right. Not too Al dente, not too mushy. For dessert, I got tiramisu. Their tiramisu was so creamy and not too sweet. Overall, amazing food and atmosphere.

I must say this restaurant is beautiful. The music is classy and the art work is nice as well. The service staff are amazing. The food was nice but very pricey. I loved the drinks as well. I only gave a 4 because the options are different for me and I wasn't used to what I saw. We ended up with the Anchovy ceasar salad, truffle butter mash and glasses of Moscoto.

I've been here a couple times to celebrate special occasions (birthday, anniversaries, etc.) and the food + service is always top-notch! The last time I went, I was running a little late and they were super accommodating and pushed back our reservation with no problems. My filet mignon was cooked perfectly (I like mine medium), the potatoes were delicious, asparagus was alright (not bad but nothing special), however, I especially enjoyed my appetizer and dessert. I forgot which pasta I ordered as an appetizer but there were bread crumb bits in them and they were so crispy; it added a texture to the pasta that I didn't know it needed. I almost ordered an entree to-go but it was perfect as an appetizer since I wanted to try their steak too. The cheesecake was SO GOOD - not too sweet or heavy to the point where I felt stuffed having it after a full meal.

Wonderful food. Hence four stars. A little iffy when you make advance reservations though. Doesn't ensure any priority over walk-ins apparently. Example: Last Mother's Day, my son & family came 250 miles to take me and mother & father-in-law there for early dinner. A party of seven. He made reservations in advance for specific time. Even so, there was a problem & they wanted to sit us outside, which was not my preference. I wanted to leave & go somewhere else, so ultimately after much conversation, they found room inside. All is well that ends well, I guess. We did have great food & service afterwards. And, a nice tip was provided. It was just an unnecessary hassle.

Very nice up-scale venue. When celebrating my birthday and graduation, Tallahassee was limited on upper scale venues- IL Lusso offers just that. Their food is really good, pastas are made in house. Drinks are yummy and they have a wide assortment of Wines/ Champagnes. The service was amazing and no matter the group size, it remained amazing. I highly recommend coming here for a date or celebration!!

I wonder if ppl in Tallahassee lack taste buds because this meal was subpar. The service was lovely but my steak was not cooked to my requested temp and I could've made a better one at home. The brussel sprouts were soggy and their desserts were lackluster.

The place has great aesthetics and food was very good. Enjoyed our appetizers ... bread, octopus, and burrata. I had the squill ink pasta. Lots of seafood, noodles were very good and the sauce had a kiss of spiciness. Was so full from dinner, we did not get dessert. Drink selection was also good.

The absolute best restaurant in Tallahassee. Definitely worth the price. The steaks here are cooked to perfection and they melt in your mouth they're so good. The taste is amazing. The Rigatoni Bolognese is one of the best I've ever had. Nice restaurant with a great bar and all of the staff is great from the minute you walk in.

But for some context :) Reservation process - Easy for 4 ( My wife / son and his girlfriend ) on a Friday night. We drove up from Sarasota to Tally to visit my son and his girlfriend Front hostess stand folks - Warm - Friendly and very accommodating Ambiance - Hip / cool / almost metro feeling restaurant that was open but not loud - Bar was busy from time we got there (715) till time we left 1100 - (Yup 4 hour dinner because - it was that good ) We were seated in a booth in the back right of the restaurant Cole was there first to provide us water and let us know that our waitress would be there soon - Cole was great all night with timely bus service and a great attitude. And then she arrived - Ms. Brittany ( if you go, ask for her - I'm sure iL Lusso has LOTS of great servers but Brittany was 5* and she knew her wine - Another 5*. Attentive / friendly / knowledgeable / great personality / terrific "service" My son had told me a bunch of times - "Dad you gotta come see us and go to this great restaurant that he and his girlfriend go to once a year for special night out." Which means, come buy us a nice dinner and wine ......... Started off Cold beers and nice selection of local brews Good wine / Prosecco by the glass list Appetizers - Arancini w mushrooms and aioli - Perfectly cooked , crispy not too crunchy outside - warm and moist inside with great aioli to dip in & Crudo del giorno -- Tasty Tuna , olive oil and capers molded in a round cup type thing - Not too salty - great olive oil to accompany fresh tuna Course 2 pasta We ordered 2 small (1/2) plates of pasta - Cacio de Pepe ( perfectly seasoned - creamy pecorino with a slight crunch which was different) & Lamb Salsiccia Casalecce ( spelling may be off ) - pasta with a mint pesto / pistachio sauce and sausage - YES PLEASE !! Dinner Was steaks all around from Filet to Bone-in Filet to Delmonico to 10oz Wagyu Denver cut which is what I had. Everyone's steak was cooked perfectly to their liking and seasoned perfect - My Denver cut Wagyu might have been the best steak I've had in my 61 years - and I've been to ALL the bigger/best steak houses in the US and Europe - It cut like butter and was seasoned terrific. Next time I might order 2 But we still had room for desert - Baked Alaskan / Sorbets / Ice cream with Pizzelle, limoncello and expresso's all fresh and delicious Oh , And we had 2 different bottles of Super Tuscan wine that Brittany and I finally agreed on , Both of which were priced reasonable for a restaurant and both terrific. I'm sure you could go and have a nice dinner here ( even a burger which I'm told are great ) and have it be fairly reasonable - But if you want to go and spoil you and friends / loved ones - Go and eat a lot - drink a lot, and enjoy the fantastic service - you won't be disappointed My only mistake - I didn't take pics but I was too busy enjoying myself :) Book a reservation right now - Now you know why.

I made a reservation for Saturday as my birthday was on the following day. Our service was very good, the food was very good. This place is among the finest restaurants I've ever been to, including Atlanta and Manhattan.

Came here to celebrate my brothers 21st birthday and it did not disappoint. our server chelsea was so kind and attentive. the ambiance was very chic and the food was absolutely divine. they ran out of the new york strip so we decided to go with the denver cut and honestly it was the best steak I think I have ever had. the flavor profile was impeccable, it felt like the steak melted in my mouth. the rigatoni was also delicious and we had a chardonnay wine that was so smooth. really great experience.

Went with a group of six. Service is very good, the drinks are excellent. Had the osso bucco which is my regular. It was very good but could have been warmer. Some got the small fillet which looked great. Desserts were and they looked great also.

Great food! Pasta was amazing, and the dessert was divine. The waitress was very polite and the staff was attentive. The ambience however, was not the best. Interior design lacked every sense of harmony. All the decorations were clashing which made the restaurant feel cheap. The sitting area looked like a fast food waiting room, and none of the different floor patterns were cohesive. The restaurant looked as if you sent out three different designers to pick decorations without telling any of them to stick to a theme. So if you're someone who doesn't care about the small details and restaurant environment then this is a great place for a dinner date.

I went to Il Łusso with a group of friends for dinner. The Ambiance and.cistomer service were great. I was a little disappointed that their.only birthday offering was to put a candle on a dessert I would have to buy. I started with.the Fritto Misto of calamari and vegetables. This was.the best calamari I think I have ever had! Cooked perfectly and.seasoned perfectly as well. I did not need the tomato and red pepper sauce that accompanied it. I also had the Caesar salad that was well dressed and tasty. My main course was a seafood mezzaluna. I'm not a big pasta person, but I liked this. The seafood inside of the pasta could have been softer, but the accompanying celery root mash was delicious and went well with the pasta. There should have been more than cute little dollops of the celery root on the plate. I asked for extra and got the world's smallest container with a tiny scoop in it. You have to laugh... One of my friends ordered the squid ink pasta and enjoyed it thoroughly. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and the food. I may wait for the next season to see what food is offered then.

I came in a second time (6/30/21) with my wife and youngest son. Service: Superb. We got a table close to the bar and Steven was very mindful of our dinner experience. Very thoughtful. The services is the BEST (from start to finish) I have ever had in Tallahassee. 5 stars. Springer Chicken: Chicken is chicken but the stuffing elevated this dish to another level. A tad more salt would have been nice. 4.5 stars. Little Pick Me Up: very nice coffee cocktail for after dinner. 5 stars. Meatball: No idea how you can take something as mundane as a meatball and make it scrumptious. OMG!! It has a very nice crunch to it. 5 stars. For me the big surprises were: Key Lime Tart: I was expecting s triangular shaped piece of pie and we got this light brown thing. Right off the bat I had s bad feeling. Once we dug into it, this tart is very good. Very nice lime flavour and the passion fruit gives it a nice acid balance. We were fighting over it. 5 stars. St. Teresa's Fire: rum cocktail with orange and cherries. As you will see from the video, it is hot and smoked. Steven made this drink in honor of his wife Teresa. Since I have a sweet tooth and I like rum, I ask Steven for a little more sweetness and he was accommodating. The cocktail is very good. The trick is to let it sit for like 20 minutes and let all flavours mix. 5 stars.

Food is great, portions are good. Service is nice, But if you go here on Saturday night be prepared to wait longer for your food. 5 starts!

Rude that's all I can say, the girls at the front were rude and very judgmental. It was my husbands birthday and we made reservations. He was asked to remove his hat.. he was wearing suit coat and I had a nice dress on. No where on the website it said anything about hats... so we decided to give a different restaurant our business. They rather him sit with messy hair.. dumb. I feel like instead of judge your customers you should be a little more classy. Good luck on business

So I went to dinner today and got served by. Eli and Syre and they were a great team. They both provided wonderful options. The wagyu option and the pasta portions. Not to mention the cheesecake and Brunello bottle called Banfi 2017. Finished it off with the Godfather whisky with Italian Brandy. They were off the charts with service and recommendations. Highly recommend the restaurant and see if this team can be your servers!

Delicious Italian food and excellent service. The ambiance is inviting and elegant. If you want good Italian food in Tallahassee, this is the place to go.

One of the best fine dining experiences in Tallahassee. The service is exceptional, and really know how to elevate the dining experience. This time I had Lucas, and in the past I have had Kayli and both are phenomenal. Lucas does a great job at describing the food, you can almost taste it. He is also so knowledgeable about wine and made great recommendations. To start we got a meatball and the soup of the day. The soup of the day was a rustic tomato soup with toasted pistachios and sous vide octopus. The soup was delicious and the flavors came together so well. The octopus was an excellent touch that I was initially scared to try. I have had the meatball before and it was phenomenal as always. For entrees we got a bunch of things to share. So we got the malfadine, cacio e pepe, bolognese, brussel sprouts, and Denver waygu. If you want the best brussel sprouts in town definitely come to Il lusso. The tomato and parm are phenomenal and they are always perfectly cooked. My favorite pastas were the malfadine and bolognese, The burrata in the bolognese was perfection and I just loved the noodles. Same goes for the malfadine the vodka sauce was to die for and I loved the noodles. I also thought that the fried basil was an excellent touch. The cacio e pepe was a little off, but I have had it before and it usually perfection. Lastly, the denver waygu. One of the best steaks I have ever had. Initially we were planning on getting the strip or the ribeye, but after hearing Lucas describe the waygu we had to get it. My mouth was watering just listening to him talk about it, and it definitely exceeded expectations. Lastly, we ended with the baked alaska which was delicious as always. Their meringue is always balanced and never too sweet. I highly recommend Il lusso for an upscale, elevated dining experience.

Phenomenal food. Best Italian food I've had in Tallahassee. Take your significant other here; they'll feel special ;)

Best steak EVER! Had the mushrooms, carrots and truffled mashed potatoes. Baked Alaskan was heaven. Everything was delicious!

Would give this place 4 1/2 stars if possible. Great service and really good food. I got the squid ink pasta and it was amazing! I also got the wagyu soup which was okay. The aperol spritz was by far the best drink at our table which was surprising. Definitely a place you went to visit if you're in the mood for a nice dinner in the area. I got a half portion of the pasta and it was more than enough!

One of the best restaurants in Tallahassee. We had the pleasure of being taken care of by Josh as our waiter! 10/10 would recommend, he was kind, polite and knew the menu well. The service was impeccable. The atmosphere was breathtaking. The food... oh my! Some of the best combinations of flavors I've ever experienced. The pasta dishes came with half portions so we were able to try a variety of amazing dishes. My compliments to all the chefs involved in the careful crafting of the menu. The Wagyu beef tartar *chefs kiss* The presentations of dishes with the spectacular flavor make this a wonderful restaurant. Can't wait to come back and explore the rest of the menu. This restaurant has a special place in my heart as a true foodie

While visiting Tallahassee, a few locals gave me raving reviews about IL LUSSO and i can assure you it is well worth the hype! To start, the environment is urban, trendy, and modern. But the menu is even more creative! My favorite item was the squash pasta which was folded into small triangles with a mashed up squash filling, all topped with sage and a light oil. The sage and squash brought out the rustic flavors of fall while also being light and refreshing. Now onto the entree, the pork chop was a generous size glazed to perfection, with lemon on the side. When juiced, the lemon and pork created a juicy explosion of refreshing yet savory goodness. On top of that, the fried calamari and grouper appetizer with roasted squash and veggies was to die for! And lastly, the coconut cream baked Alaska was a luxurious dessert full of dimension in flavor, fun texture, ans elegant presentation. This is something you don't see on every menu! The service was amazing, the menu was unique, and the dining experience was pleasurable. This is a go to spot!
