Il Moro Restaurant

I absolutely loved everything about this restaurant! The food was incredible, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect place to enjoy a meal. The waiter was attentive, friendly, and truly made the experience top-notch. This is definitely a five-star restaurant—I can’t wait to come back!

Il Moro is tucked in and you may miss it if you're not looking for it, but it is worth the find. Great Italian that is fresh and delicious, great service, and it also has a nice patio with a waterfall and heat lamps at night. The bread is fresh baked and if you're not careful you will fill up on that before your entree arrives. Don't forget to ask for the specials-- they don't have them on a printed menu but the servers can give you a detailed list, with everything from a crab and lobster bisque to lamb chops. If you enjoy art, the restaurant also proudly displays art by local artists that you can buy if you are so inclined. They rotate artists and paintings but I've found all the paintings add to the ambiance of the restaurant.

I passed by this restaurant for years. We thought it was an expensive high end restaurant as we always saw exotic cars at the valet. But then we tried it. The price on their food and drinks was on par with other new restaurant $$-$$$. And I love the outdoor patio seating next to the manmade waterfall and stream (off for water conservation.) It's a large courtyard within the old Executive Tower. Il Moro is very generous with the outdoor patio heaters. This is a local favorite for the older generation. Maybe its because I always have a 6pm dinner reservation. As we leave, we see younger couples and groups. They have a private room that can fit a party of 10-12. It's really nice: All glass overlooking the main dining room and courtyard. Great classy private room. The calamari is my favorite. And I always get the lamb chops when available. That reduction sauce is amazing. However, as with the current trend, the price went up and the portions are smaller. All the other dishes were really good. Not super amazing and fabulous, but consistent and tasty for the price range. Good service too. Update: 2/16/2024. Tonight I order the seafood linguine. Wow, it was packed with seafood. The fresh grilled fish filets were excellent. Thr clams and mussels were plentiful and the linguine was cooked perfectly (al dante.) The seafood broth was a little too salty to drink from but it flavored the linguine and seafood perfectly. I would order again. Also, tonight, the calamari was "too oily." Its usually delicately battered and comes out hot and crispy. But tonight, it was just too oily for us to finish. When the waiter, "Baron" asked if it was satisfactory, i had to tell him the truth. He later comped our tiramisu dessert. That is a good example of good service. We will come back again

Delicious food, highly recommend. I've been here multiple times and each time the food is consistently great. Service is attentive and friendly. Atmosphere is spacious and clean, with indoor and outdoor seating with heat lamps. Street parking available, however I have been only for dinner and have heard the place is more filled for lunch. The entrance is on the small side, but really opens up as you walk in, look for the awning. The short rib is always a favorite, and the risotto porcini was so so good, prob best I've ever had. Time and love put into all their dishes, especially the tagliatelle bolognese whose sauce cooks for 6 hours. Gluten free options available. Always listen to the specials and save room for dessert. Buon Appetito, piatto pulito. 😋

We've been here lots of time (over 20 times). The food is always great, and the staff are great too. Plenty of options for everyone. (vegetarians, meat eaters and kids). We recently went for DineLA For a fixed price you get three courses. It gives an option to try all the foods. The serving was pretty big. Plenty of street parking, and there is paid parking. We have the food to be favourful.

We hosted two events at this restaurant. One for 10 people and another for 80. They made our events go beautifully from good food to great service and all with an excellent attentive attitude. It is tucked away in this space that has a charming outdoor seating area. Highly recommend.

Great restaurant. Kind of a hidden gem. I was a little worried about traveling to Los Angeles for a brunch however it was unfounded. Felt very safe! Food and service was amazing!

A foodie level Italian restaurant recommended by an Italian colleague: calamari is crispy outside and tender inside; beef short ribs are tender and flavorful; seafood is fresh and abundant; veggie soup doesn’t look appealing but taste good and is perfect for a cool winter nigh on the patio. The only disappointment is Tiramisu because the cream/cake ratio is too high for me. Will definitely return!

Have now been here several times and it's always good. A few things for this visit: - Most of the food prep area is exposed to the dining area, so you hear a lot of the noises that come from that area of a kitchen and given the higher ceilings and wood floors, it can get loud and annoying, especially in a relatively calm and upscale environment. - I ordered a pasta that I like with lobster and shrimp but they must have removed the one I've ordered and replaced it with one with Diavola sauce and whoa man was it spicy! It was really good but my fault.

Il Moro is located in what looks like an office building, but I still loved it! I had a business lunch here, and the service was exceptional. While the decor is a bit dated, the food was delicious. I really enjoyed the BEEF MEATBALLS and the CALAMARI FRITTI as starters. For my main course, I wasn't very hungry, so I opted for the CAPELLINI --and I absolutely loved it! Simple yet delicious. I definitely plan to come back. ENJOY! PS: There was lots of meter parking and there is also a structure right next door.

Dined here on the last day of Dine LA. Even though it was very busy the food and service were great (as always). I had this really wonderful pescatori. Such a variety and perfectly cooked. The best seafood flavors I've had in a long time.

How very sad, I'd been here before and really enjoyed my meal, but it's been about a year and I wonder what changed in the time since I've been away. I remember their courtyard which, though arranged between office buildings in a slightly corporate way, boasts some lovely details like string lights, a koi pond, and plenty of foliage. It's a nice place to sit while you dine even when it's chilly and windy, since they have heat lamps aplenty. The food is expensive for the quality. I ordered a soup last time that was a fine vegetable soup, neither memorable nor outstanding, and that alone was $19. $19! For soup! It better knock my socks off! I also ordered their porcini risotto, and the rice was underdone. The red wine sauce that came with it was not complementary at all, in my opinion. The servers were prompt and friendly, at least, and the bread they delivered was hot and fresh. I just wish the rest of the meal felt like it was worth the cost.

i'll have to say im a bit disappointed with the food here ): for the price, I was expecting really great tasting italian food but id have to say it was average at best. given that the menu wasnt very extensive, we didnt have much to choose from either. unfortunately because we were celebrating a birthday, we brought our own cake and were informed that each SLICE that would be made into our OWN cake would be $5. that would have come out to an additional $45 per person. we passed on that and decided to just take it back home to eat together. however, the staff were extremely kind and helpful. they were very attentive and always made sure we were doing alright during our meal. we were even given our own private dining area because we had a large party of 9 people.

What a great find in the neighborhood! Located on a quiet street surrounded by office towers sits Il Moro restaurant, which has apparently been there for 25+ years unbeknownst to me. There is a very charming and large outdoor seating area with twinkly lights overhead and heat lamps, and a large art-filled inside dining room. We decided to sit inside and learned that all the artwork on the walls was for sale. Our sever was super nice and efficient. She always had a smile and truly seemed to care about our experience. We ordered the filet of sole and a pasta dish with eggplant and both were excellent. There is easy street parking and also a parking lot in the building that is validated by the restaurant. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu items!

I had a fine lunch, for a business meeting, at Il Moro, and I would eat there again for lunch, and I'd be pleased to try it for dinner. I had flown down to LA for the appointment. The other diner had an office a block away, so he was a regular for years. The waitress recognized him. On his recommendation, I had the mushroom soup. He did too. It was hearty, flavorful, and I think made without cream (not sure). That is a dish I should have more often; it's healthy and tasty. (I think grammatically that should be healthful, not healthy.) I then had the melon and prosciutto. That is a dish that is usually better in concept, but in this instance the melon was fresh and juicy, but not over-ripe, and the prosciutto had exactly the contrast it is supposed to, with enough saltiness but not too much. I finished it all. I was surprised by that. The server had the rapport needed for the function. She was calibrated to the occasion.

SUPER bland! OMG! where is the garlic, the spice?? any heat? UGH. 90 percent of the customers were over 75! Can they taste anything?

Sorry but this place is honestly .......very mid. Its located in between corporate buildings - "hole in the wall" type of feel. Before you read forward please remember that this is just my experience! So I went here with my boyfriend for our 2 year anniversary and based off of the OpenTable ratings we expected it to be very good. 4.8 stars ...must be decent right? NOPE. As the hostess was walking us to our seats she passed by another empty table and threw something on it? Cant remember if it was her phone or a menu but anyway...AS WE'RE WALKING TO OUR SEATS? like cmon y'all what kind of introduction is that? Right after that happened it just left a bad impression on me from the get go. Frankly it was just kind of unprofessional. Another ding on service - our waitress forgot to get us our waters and we were left sitting with the bread that was brought out with nothing to drink with. I know this comment may make me seem like a snob but honestly thats fine with me. 10-15 mins go by and no water? thats annoying. that should be the first thing you take care of as a waitress. She also kept stumbling on her words..I get that maybe its your first time and you're nervous but if this restaurant claims to be 4.8 stars then I am expecting exceptional service. So we get seated and I order the pumpkin pasta and my bf orders the bolognese (if you screw up a BOLOGNESE and claim to be an Italian restaurant ...idk what to even tell you at that point haha). the pumpkin pasta gets brought out in an actual pumpkin which is kind of tacky to me but whatever - I'm here for the taste. it wasn't anything AMAZING but it was good. Solid 4/5. the Bolognese on the other hand was literally horrendous. Pasta had the texture of rubber and it was just an awful experience. It felt like they bought the pasta at the dollar stores or something. For the price - I'd say this place isn't worth it.

So nice that in the middle of busy West LA there was this quiet oasis restaurant with a garden patio & waterfall, but that's not why we came. It was my birthday and I was treated to dinner with the expectation of their house caramel custard for dessert. Parking was easy on the street, but they provide 4 hours of validated parking in the building next door. We found this out because we read the sign posted out front on our way out of the restaurant. We had called ahead and asked about the dog and he was more than welcome, provided he was well behaved. We made our way to the garden and had a nice table near the waterfall. Boomer was on his best behavior! We started with the delicious warm rolls with olive oil and balsamic, which was unbelievably sweet and rich, As it was Dine Out LA week, we checked the Prix fixe menu for the ocassion and it was all we wanted. A couple of their signature drinks and I was digging into the beet salad with red and yellow beets, arugula with fresh mozzarella. Pat had the lobstet bisque with a small soupçon of lobster meat on the side being the definite plus. Then the corn truffle ravioli arrived and it was game over - 8 tongue licks from Booner! And it was sprinkled with shaved truffles in a creamy sauce. My Alaskan cod was no less satisfying, juicy and tender served on a bed of spinach and zucchini noodles and dressed with pomegranate seeds. Nirvana arrived halfway through that course and dessert was still to come! A hearty kudos to our waiter, who was able to substitute the prix fixe dessert for the aforementioned custard. It was worth the 45 minute drive. So creamy, so thick, so slathered in caramel topping, easy to see why it's a Restaurant highlight. We will definitely be back for the rest of the incredible menu, especially knowing that Boomer will be on his best behavior!

One of the best meals I have had in quite a while! We came here tonight to celebrate my father's 75th birthday and it just happened to be Dine LA week so there was the regular menu, the Dine LA menu, and many wonderful sounding daily specials. There were a couple times where I felt that they should have checked on us more frequently, such as for refilling my water and taking too long to bring the check. But overall, the service was very good. There is free validated parking in the lot next door as well as many metered parking spaces right out front. The inside is a perfectly nice setting but the outside patio is definitely where it's at. There are some tables under covered tents and many others outside of the tents. They had a lot of heat lamps available as desired. There is a lovely fountain and stream that runs behind that patio area and string lights. Really just the perfect outdoor setting. Also, despite every table being filled, it was not overly noisy. My 95 year old grandma who is hard of hearing was with us, and she was able to hear just fine, which is hard to find these days at popular restaurants! I had a fantastic cocktail, the tropical breeze. Truly delicious and not overly strong. It did feel a bit small for $18 but I guess that is the standard now. Despite many delicious sounding options to choose from, we surprisingly all chose the same appetizer and entree! The scallop dish for an appetizer and the lamb shank for the entree. The scallop appetizer was one of the best scallop dishes I have had in a long time. Jumbo scallops with amazing butternut squash and the sauce was just the perfect combination - I couldn't get enough and could have easily eaten an entire platter of them. I am not normally big on lamb so I was worried about ordering it but the waiter assured me it was braised and not gamey at all. He was right! I really enjoyed the lamb shank and the amazing red wine sauce it came in. It honestly reminded me of brisket. The mashed potatoes it came with were tasty but nothing unusual. The peach cobbler, wow! I would definitely say it felt more like a peach crisp or crumble than a cobbler which normally has a biscuit type topping. I honestly prefer it this way And really enjoyed how much fruit was in it. Overall, we were all very happy with our orders and with our experience at Il Moro. My parents and grandmother had been to Il Moro many times before but not for many years. While I had never been before. I did notice it was mostly an "older crowd" but I think this place would definitely cater to a younger crowd as well. I would absolutely come back here any chance I had; with family, with friends or on a date.

Everything! I have been going there many years, and not once have I've been disappointed. All their food is fabulous, delicious and oh so filling! It's the only restaurant I feel confident in ordering fish because I know it's fresh and the best.

Pleasantly surprised by this restaurant, looks like a place for locals which is fine because I live in the area. Nothing all that exciting but solid food and service, the kind of restaurant that I would add to my rotation when I'm not looking for something different and want a solid joint. We had the grilled octopus which was just ok along with the seafood cioppino which was good. I had the vodka martini which was good with a generous pour. I would definitely return and maybe sit outside which is quite nice, interior is nothing special but ok!

Fantastic outdoor ambience. We had a Cesar salad and one of their specials which was chicken alfredo fettuccini. Both were great.

I love this restaurant! I just hosted a very special birthday for my husband at Il Moro, and it was the very best I could ever hoped for. Gaetano, owner and chef, and Lucy, owner and event manager, are the sweetest, most professional people. They know how to execute an event that is just epic. The food, the ambience, the wait service is absolutely beyond the best! Dining at Il Moro is a fantastic experience, you feel so special.

An ALL-TIME favorite. I've been eating at Il Moro for over 20 years. Elio is a fantastic operator and the food/service never disappoints. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and a nice bar. This is a hidden gem located at the base of an office building on the Westside. If you're craving a fine Italian dining experience, get yourself to Il Moro. You won't be disappointed.

Wow. What an incredible dining experience on a Saturday night. It's tucked into a calm street off of olympic, we ubered but parking seems plentiful! We were greeted by the wonderful hostess Lucia who was so kind and made us feel incredibly comfortable upon walking in. We were seated right next to the water fall, the outdoor seating is cozy and warm. When we had walked in I smelled this amazing aroma of some sort of seafood, I knew then that I was getting whatever smell that was. Our waiter Baron was so attentive and nice from the very moment we sat down. Our questions were met with great suggestions and we truly don't think our experience would have been as good without him as our waiter. He was one of the best waiters we've had in a very long time. In fact the entire staff was absolutely fantastic and we always felt taken care of by everyone around us! Moving on to the food...WOW. Just phenomenal. Great variety, huge portions, and best of all, delectable flavor. My boyfriend and I couldn't have had a better anniversary dinner. We cannot wait to come back and look forward to the delightful staff in addition to the scrumptious food!!

This place is kind of a hole in the wall location in West LA. I found it when I used to go to the gym next door to them. But, the service and food are great. I always sit at the bar, and the bartender is always very friendly and professional.

IL MORO Ristorante Cafe in Los Angeles, CA, been around since 1993. It's a gem you don't want to miss while in the L.A. area. Demetrius and Marco were our main servers and they did an excellent job of making us feel at home. Very professional and efficient. Came back a couple of times to ask us how we were doing, check. Since it was lunchtime, my daughter and I didn't want to eat a bog pasta meal so we decided to 'split' a dish. The Tagllolini Bianchi N Neri instantly became a mutual favorite. Listen, I drove all the way from south of Orange County to eat here. That's over an hour away and let me tell you, it was worth it. Wait Service: EXCELLENT Food: EXCELLENT AMBIANCE: EXCELLENT PARKING: $13.75 for an hour so look for street parking and bring a ton of quarters Would I recommend this place for a date? Abso Feeakin' Lutely! I'll make the drive again and you bet my 300 membership single moms- club will know about this. I'll be back! CECE

A hidden gem between office buildings. Service, food and ambiance are so on point. Dine outside patio or inside. Either way quiet and peaceful. Our server was friendly and so quick as we were on a time constraint. Not rushed though. Homemade pasta and the chicken piccata were out of the world. Full bar and a great place to unwind after a work day. A must visit!

Extra special Italian / Emilia Romagna in a town with many good Italian places. Impeccable service (esp. Manuel and Baran). Those who expect spicy or Americanized food look elsewhere. The space & serenity between the office towers is lovely.

I've had 2 different clients host events here & we have all absolutely loved it. The staff, the food, the owner - all around lovely experience. I decided to return as a restaurant-goer as a last minute date night activity & wow!!! First - I live so close & had no idea it existed before my events! It's hidden away but the venue itself is beautiful. At night it's so calming on the patio & magically. It totally transports you to a mini vacay. The blossoms were amazing, the pumpkin + butter + sage combo is ALWAYS a winner, & their cheesecake.... OMG. My fav. You are silly if you don't end the evening with a slice. The thin- crust pizza was so thin. Like... comically thin, but it worked & was delicious!

First time eating here. All the food was delicious. Service was quick and helpful. I had the corn truffle ravioli which had buttery flavors that had you wanting more. Places overs outside dining which weather was perfect for. If you're in the area its a good place for a business meeting or group lunch.

I have been a regular at this restaurant for many years. At my recommendation a group of friends joined me for a DineLA experience.Many places do not show their best on this program but Il Moro certainly did. The food was terrific, nicely presented and generous portions. From the first item, the balsamic vinegar and olive oil for the warm bread my friends knew they were in for a treat. The lamb chops were huge and perfectly done; the fish was perfectly cooked and the seafood pasta was as well. Our server, Mladjen, was very helpful as well as welcoming and efficient. The oputside setting beside a creek is beautiful and the indoor tables are well spaced, encouraging conversation.

In my Westside world, this restaurant is a sleeper and I don't know why. The service is attentive, the parking is easy, the patio setting is lovely, and the food is first rate. The soups are invariably delicious (and vegan), the salads are innovative, delicious, and a meal unto themselves. The bar is congenial and well stocked. The pasta is divine (try the corn and truffle ravioli if you're feeling indulgent), and the daily specials always delight. Highly recommend Il Moro - for lunch or dinner.

My sons picked this restaurant for a night out with the parents, and it was a surprise and delight. I can't believe Il Moro has been here this long without being discovered by our foodie family. Strong recommendations from our marvelous waiter Andres. They were all a hit. I had the Branzino - five stars. One son had the tagliatelle with ragu. Fabulous. We also had their seasonal pumpkin tortellini as an appetizer - delish. The star of the dinner was easily the dessert: pumpkin cheesecake and a slice of tiramisu. Whatever you order, you can't go wrong here!

Found this restaurant on whim, and would come back time and time again. The food, service, and ambience are incredibly solid. I have the commend server who helped us as she really sold me on the lamb which was so delicious! Highly recommend to anyone looking for great Food!

My good friend had her birthday dinner here. When we arrived, we were seated right away, and our drink orders were taken. They read us the specials then gave us time to check out the menu. I ordered one of the specials, the ribeye cooked medium rare. We also ordered fried calamari for the table. In the meantime, they brought us a basket of bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. When the calamari arrived, it had a very strong fishy odor, and not the good kind. It also tasted kinda rubbery to me. The food came, and I was not expecting what I received. I thought I would get a whole ribeye, not cut up slices of ribeye. Not only that, it was also cooked more like medium to medium well. I didn't want to send it back because I worried that they might spit on my food and I definitely don't want that during COVID! The slices of steak sat on a bed of arugula, and had cherry tomatoes on the side. There was no dressing for the arugula, and while I get that they kept the stems on the tomatoes for plating, it was annoying to get them off the stems to eat them without worrying about them going flying. The waitress was nice and made sure to check in on us, but the food was terrible.

I've eaten at Il Moro about 6 times in the past 3 months, and have eaten there periodically over the past 20 or so years. My topline opinion is that restaurant is excellent in terms of the quality of the food, service, and ambience. To date, I've ordered the following: - various soups - Caesar salad - Various fish entrees, including salmon and branzino - beef short ribs - several different kinds of pizza, most often the Wild - tira misu On each occasion, each element of the meal was well-prepared. highlights included: - Caesar salad: croutons and the salad dressing were homemade and excellent; - fish dishes included generous portions of fish and vegetables, and the fish was just right in terms of prep, i.e., neither under- nor overcooked, and the seasoning was simple and nicely accented the fish - beef short ribs were hearty, exceptionally tender, and the Chianti reduction was delicious and brought out the flavor in the meat - tira misu was homemade, amazing, and the lady fingers were firm and not soggy. while all of the menu items were excellent, the surprise standout was the pizza, particularly the Wild, which includes smoked salmon, burrata, and onions. First, and in my opinion, the crust was comparable to some of the best pizzas in town. Moreover, the combination of the smoked salmon, burrata, and the onions was like having a really large bagel, but even more flavorful and delicious (Note: My grandmother would say that it is a shonda to make such a comparison). Finally, the ambience at Il Moro seals the deal. The interior is upbeat, the room is set up in a way so that the tables are not on top of each other, it is easy to enjoy a relaxing meal in which one does not feel rushed to leave so that the table can be turned, and, although the room includes many patrons, one can speak in a regular voice and be easily heard. In addition, the outdoor dining is lovely and a great place to eat during the spring, summer, and fall months. remarkably, and when I have mentioned the restaurant to my friends, almost no one has heard of it. It's interesting...it's a great neighborhood restaurant that doesn't try so hard to be the next cool thing. Il Moro just keeps putting out good food, reasonably priced, and in a great atmosphere. My only regret is that someone might read this, make a reservation, and take the spot that I was going to get. Oh well. Buon appetito

Classy place. Perfect patio w/ a pond and running water. Came by for a business lunch. Located right off the 405 on Olympic. Places filled up on the patio for lunch. Older, money crowd. Bankers, brokers, and retired types. Meatballs, salad, and bread were all delicious. Good service and relaxed vibe. Old school respect ambiance. Inside is spacious with a bar and dining area. This is a very nice place to bring your parents are mature guests. That patio would be quite nice at night. 2 meatballs & 2 salads about $70. I'd definitely come back. Yelp rating is accurate!

Enjoyed the dairy free mushroom asparagus soup very much, as well as spaghetti with clams and bottarga! Always a great meal. Glad they had new dishes on the specials menu, including some non dairy options.

Excellent. FRESH homemade pasta. Cute outdoor seating alongside a pond in between buildings. Great aesthetic. The lasagna and corn truffle ravioli is were both amazing. I also enjoyed the meatballs and the cauliflower.

Used to be an excellent place, now it is just another wildly overpriced westside restaurant, past its prime. The prices are very high for what you get, which is uninspired Italian food, boring pastas, meat dishes that feel like they were leftovers from the previous night. The crowd is older and crankier, and they have the outside patio lit up to wear it is scorching hot -- on a very cold night. Asking them to turn down the heat lamps means incurring the wrath of some of the geriatrics who scream at the idea of things being anything other than a sauna. Sad to see, but every place has its rise and fall.

An exceptional restaurant. The menu is full of delicious choices from appetizers and salads to pizzas and entrees galore. Be sure to ask about the daily specials. The food tastes homemade. The service is exquisite. It's service with a smile at every turn. The service staff works as a great team, staying on top of every detail. All of this in a warm contemporary atmosphere. A full bar and extensive selections of wine.The dining room includes a room for private dining. A beautiful outdoor patio with lush landscaping. Overall, great food, great service in a comfortable atmosphere. Truly ticks all the boxes for an excellent dining experience.

Wow what a good dinner, food was really good! All the staffs were amazing. They were very helpful! Lucy the host was super super nice!!! She seated us right away and gave us a very good spot. Started the night good! Food tasted very good too looking at the nice view. All the staffs kept asking us if we were okay. Very very good service , very friendly and gave us 2 heaters. Made sure we weren't cold.After the good dinner Lucy , she took pictures for us. She went out of her way to do it too!! I am coming back here for sure!!!Thank you!!!!! Great place to dress up and go out to eat with friends and family. There is indoor and outdoor dining. Great ambiance and delicious food. I had the beef braised with vegetables. It was very soft, the meat would fall apart no need for a knife. It has a wine sauce that gave it a wonderful flavor, delicious .

We came to celebrate a friends birthday and the hospitality we received was amazing. Andres made our visit exceptional and we enjoyed everything from the food to the immaculate service. I am looking forward to retiring here with more friends/family on future adventures. P.s try the frozen margarita!!!

We visited Il Moro for an early-ish team lunch (11:30am) on a sunny Monday afternoon. The staff and service here are top-notch: my glass of water was never empty and the timing and levels of attentiveness were spot on. One of our servers had the most beautiful Italian accent, I could've listened to him read the menu items to me all day. We ordered a few starters for the table including the burrata, garga salad, fried calamari and (I don't remember the name, it was some sort of fried cheese with pesto sauce). I tried the calamari (7.5 / 10) and the garga salad (8.5 / 10). Everyone at the table seemed to enjoy the starters. Myself and another diner chose the King Salmon. The cut of salmon was quite large, so I ended up with a to-go box. The accompanying vegetables were good, but cooked in more oil than my stomach would like. I'd rate this 8.5 / 10 and would order it again. My boss ordered the lasagna and seemed to enjoy it. Two people are our table ordered the Tagliolini Bianchi & Neri (black and white fresh homemade tagliolini sauteed with shrimps, mushroom, pancetta (pork) and a bisque cream sauce) and, unfortunately, did not enjoy the dish. They reported that the sauce wasn't good. A few people ordered salads, which looked tasty. One person ordered the margherita pizza and it was HUGE! I plan to try Il Moro's pizza when we were back in-office more frequently. As lunch was on the company, we felt obligated to try a few of the desserts :). The Queen Elizabeth Custard and lemon cheesecake were both amazing! The desserts here were definitely 10 / 10.

Our server was great. More of an older crowd. The food was yummy. The location was beautiful!

Don't bother. No love. We went there for our wedding anniversary 15 years and when do we get to pieces of biscotti. Maybe say it's your birthday next time you'll get a piece of pie if you're lucky.

The food here is delicious. Always enjoy their specials wonderful place for a date night. The service here makes you feel so welcomed. And it's a beautiful restaurant.

Our friend who has dined here for lunch many times, and who we were meeting for dinner, suggested we all come here for dinner on our recent visit to LA. Thanks for suggesting Il Moro for our dinner. His exclamation about their pasta was certainly mouthwatering and well deserved. I researched all the top Italian in the geographically acceptable part of WLA, and I agreed that Il Moro looks like a great choice. I called the restaurant to inquire about their meat offerings as the website showed a limited selection. When the maitre d' remarked that they have veal chop and veal Osso Bucco as a special a few nights a week, I advised him that I had a hangering for veal chop milanese. He said he'd make sure to have it available for next Thursday!! So, I'm sold. And sure enough, they had veal chop on the menu that night!!! I went ahead and made a booking for 5pm, for drinks and dinner. Erika, the manager/owner(?) very freely disclosed there was a large business meeting starting at 7-7:30, but we all thought it wouldn't be a problem, since we were starting early. Our food, and easy atmosphere enabled us all to have such a good time, we stayed till 9pm....and were never bothered by the large business dinner...we hardly even noticed them. The food was fantastic. The service was most attentive. Prices are very reasonable. I am classically trained in italian cuisine, and make Risotto at home. I rarely order it out as it never satisfies. However, to accompany my veal chop, I had to order their risotto w veal jus. Utterly fantastic...delicate yet most flavorful. As we're the other items ordered, all pictured below....pasta checca, mussels & clams, pasta Bolognese, chocolate torte, etc. We all tasted various items, and oohed and aahed. There's a reason this restaurant is still around after 24 years....they do it right. I'll definitely be back, to try other items, but may have to order that risotto again!! There's free validated parking in the adjacent garage. Buon appetito!

Big fan of Il Moro - especially their Happy Hour menu! We've tried everything from the tacos, flat breads, meatballs, fries, personal pizzas, non-personal pizzas for myself, calamari, and more. The fries and pizza are definitely my most favorite items on the menu. The meatballs used to be higher ranked, but unfortunately they replaced the toasted bread with polenta - the toasted bread is just as much part of the dish as the meatballs!!!!! Anyways, luckily there is plenty on the menu for me and my coworkers to enjoy that keeps me coming back.

What superb service! They are celebrating their 24th anniversary having opened just after the 1994 Northridge earthquake. Try their fixed prix menu. Loved the grilled octopus on chick pea purée served with a waffle polenta. The tortellini Ata goats, the lobster pasta, was ok, just not distinguished. But I thought their vanilla cream custard for dessert was the best I've had in a long time. However the real deal is that menu was prix price. And truly outstanding service.
