I wish I could leave more stars!!! My boyfriend and I were walking by and walked in because he was craving a sandwich, they told us they were sold out :( I'm guessing that's how good it is!!! We end up having a tomatoe soup and a foccacia. I didn't even have the chance to take a picture of it, because my boyfriend said it's the best foccacia he's had in a veery long time. I really liked the tomatoes soup. Thanks to Derrik we tried the Caesar salad. Which was yummy, yummy. The place was a great vibe, I love that is clean and the music was good. Thanks to Derrik and the staff for being so nice :) we will definitely come back :)

Found this place today and picked up the Turkey Panini (the special), and holy sandwich what a hit - have been jonesing for something to complement my usual Lou’s weekly and I think I found it - delicious - 10/10 The shop is super new, clean, and nice too - good stuff.

A nice simple menu, really friendly customer service, a really clean environment, and a fantastic taste. A touch pricier than Subway, but for great quality actually fresh tasting sandwiches, you couldn't ask for a better pit stop.

Thank you very much to Derrick and whole staff, everything was amazing. The focaccia bread on my salami picante sandwich was by far one of my best that I ate in my live, the tomato soup with gorgonzola was superb and the Caesar salad was wonderful. 100% recommend this place, as a restaurant manager myself I definitely want to go back. Keep the same qualities and standards it's worth it!!

Ah, Il Porcellino Grasso deli in San Francisco, you know, that place is like a little slice of Italy right in the heart of the city. Let me tell you, it was more than tasty; it was a flavor explosion! The ingredients were fresh, and the flavors, well, they hit you like a message from the big boss himself. Cute shop that just opened. I've stopped by for coffee in the morning a few times and the service is excellent. They do have a small Italian grocery selection as well. Everything you'd need to make a lovely pasta dinner at home. I haven't tried their sandwhiches yet, I'll update once I do!

Visiting my colleagues from Australia and on the hunt for a good coffee, I found this place open one cold foggy morning. What a lifesaver, the best coffee I have had in San Francisco over many trips. Really good, full-bodied bean (they use Lavazza), I had a double shot latte and kept going back for more. Australians are fussy about our coffee but I would recommend this. Lovely service too.

Everything about this place is amazing! From the friendly staff, to the DELICIOUS food, the remarkable espresso drinks and a a cozy, comfortable atmosphere to boot. New favorite place on the block, I will be here often ☺️

Hole in the wall sandwich shop with some Italian desserts and the first time I've ever seen cannoli chocolate bars! Yeah, you read that right, that's NOT a typo. Wanted to try it but since I'm not really a chocolate person I'll leave it to you chocolate lovers to review. Super friendly staff and Super nice. I was asking for ice and they went above and beyond to give me ice for the fresh orange juice I bought. Their fresh orange juice was so good we bought multiples of them! Sandwiches are made fresh here. Good and decent. Stop by on your lunch break and support this local business!

Had the pesto pollo sandwich and it was by far the best sandwich I've had in sf so far.

I love a good Italian deli:-) As you await your food, peruse their collection of Italian goods they offer such as olive oil or cured meats. Just really love it. Love to be here. Felt like I was transported to Italy.... Haha I wish... Today, I decided to try their cold sandwich, the Salumi Piccante on Focaccia. Hmmm... not as impactful as their panini pressed Don on Focaccia with truffle spread. Yummm... However, on this visit, I also tried their tomato soup. Very good and comforting. There's bread included for you to sop up the tomatoey goodness. Would love to try their other sandwiches on a future visit.

This place is an Italian gem. They serve authentic Italian lunch items, such as sandwiches and salads and provide croissant sandwich for breakfast. They also sell a wide variety of Italian food products. Great staff that is welcoming and friendly.

Super friendly and they really seem to care about their customers. Plus, they have great sandwiches! Next time I'll need to try a salad.

Excellent lunch spot in the Financial District. I was heading to a San Francisco Climate Week event at the 9Zero co-working space nearby and stopped by around 1:30 pm as I wasn't sure they'd provide any food or snacks there. After a quick glance at the menu, I settled on the spicy sausage and pepper panini, which happened to be a great choice. The sandwich was steaming hot and served with tomatoes and arugula on the side. I took my time, living in the moment, savoring every last delicious bite. Service was friendly. The location was clean with a few tables inside and outside, and interesting bottles, and jars with condiments along the walls. I will certainly be back to try some of their other options.

I stopped in here in need of lunch. I ended up getting a sandwich (with a side salad) and a cannolo. The sandwich was pretty tasty. The cannolo was just okay, in my opinion. The shell seemed soggy. They also sell some specialty groceries, which is cool. And they have wifi, which let me catch up on some work!

Quick lunch of my dreams! Great location, quaint decor, delicious (!) panini and an even better soup. Lovely little selection of Italian beverages. What else could a girl want. Only issue we encountered was that they put a slice of crostini on the salad - can see how it's unexpected for gluten free customers ordering some leafy greens.

A new Italian sandwich shop serving up some really fancy meats and cheeses in their sandwiches. And while they really like their panini press here, I kinda prefer the cold sandwiches more. But no matter what you order, it will be so much bougier than Subway. Breakfast Croissant with Mortadella, Provolone, Egg: Interesting French/Italian fusion. A croissant that is grilled flat in a panini press. Filled with runny fried egg, mortadella and provolone. You pick your own meat & cheese, but I got what was recommended. It worked out nicely and was quite a filling breakfast. Chocolate Croissant: It seemed like a pretty standard chocolate croissant, likely not made in-house. But the cashier recommended I get it heated, so I did. Turned out that heating it in a panini press gives it a little grill marks and made it crispy. A really interesting way to have a chocolate croissant. The Don: A bunch of different meats, but somehow didn't seem that filling. I guess it's because everything was sliced thin and the provolone melted into the bread. The bread itself was like a chewy focaccia with one side having nice panini grill marks. Felt a little bland with just bread, meat, cheese and a smidge of balsamic. There was some arugula and tomatoes served in a side cup. It kinda looked like a side salad, but there was no dressing. So maybe I was supposed to add it to the sandwich myself? But if that's they case, why didn't they just do that (either before or after the panini press step)? Salumi Picante: Much better than the panini pressed sandwich I had. The veggies were on the sandwich, not in a side cup. The spicy spread was a lot more flavorful than simple balsamic. And the spicy meats and cheese had a lot of personality. It wasn't like Korean-hot or anything, but had a nice kick for Italian. Really liked this. Tomato Gorgonzola Soup: I'm a big fan of tomato soup with sandwiches, since it feels so homey. Especially on a rainy day. And I do like when it's a little creamy. I've had a lot of tomato soup, but I've never had anything like this. Theirs was made creamy with tangy gorgonzola. So it's both creamy and got that nice bleu cheese tang. Each spoonful is quite intense and full of flavor. Cappuccino: I said it was for here and they still gave it to me in paper cup. I had seen a bunch of proper ceramic coffee cups near the espresso machine, so figured asking for it for here would mean I'd get served in a reusable cup. Guess they're not that sustainable. The cappuccino was fine, pretty standard.

My favorite lunch spot in FiDi!!! You can't go wrong. ANYTHING inside their foccacia bread is my recommendation. Fluffy and good quality bread. The Bello Prosciutto Sandwich is definitely my go-to. Simple, but flavorful! They don't skimp on the balsamic vinegar... but I'll definitely try their truffle spread next time! It's very close to the Embarcadero BART Station too. It's an easy pick up spot while in the area. There's also seating, but it's very crowded during weekday lunch hours!

Came here because it's close to my office, and I'm glad I gave it a try! The menu looked really promising, and I was excited to see balsamic cream as a spread on some of the sandwich options. I ended up getting the Bella Mortadella, and the mortadella balanced well with the soft, salty cheese. The balsamic cream could have been a bit more flavorful, in my opinion, to help offset how heavy the fillings were, though. The focaccia I chose for my sandwich was lightly crispy, fluffy, and very herby. Definitely recommend that as your bread of choice. I also got a tomato gorgonzola soup as a combo with the sandwich because it was a really cold day. The sandwich dipped in the soup was nice and nourishing, but they're definitely not meant to be paired like that because the soup overpowered the sandwich's flavors. My bad. Would definitely love to come again when I'm in the office, and I'd love to give the bello prosciutto a shot!

I ended up on California Street between 2 projects and wanted to grab lunch while sitting down. I found Porcellino very inviting from the door so I got in. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and the rest of the stuff was very nice and polite. The Hot Panini (Bella Mortadella) was delicious. Prices are super reasonable and the ambiance is top. Will come again when I'm in the city!

A very good mortadella sandwich. The cheese adds a subtle funk that really elevates it. SF has always had great legacy italian delis (like Molinari) and we're somehow in a second renaissance of italian sandwiches with places like this, limoncello, and bettola. What a time to be alive.

The Don sandwich is the best sandwich I've eaten outside of Italy and I don't say that lightly. It's honestly the perfect combination if you get The Don on their house-made focaccia bread with black truffle spread. So delicious and satisfying for a quick lunch. The exceptional quality of all the ingredients is evident and was so good I went back to pick up another for dinner. The service is also top notch. So friendly and full of super helpful suggestions to make the sandwich of your dreams. They also have freshly made soups and a selection of market items like olives, artichoke hearts and dried pasta as well. Such a great addition to the Fidi restaurant scene. Wholeheartedly recommend. I will be making sure I take my statins and returning often! Don't miss it - its tucked between Perbacco and the Dispensary.

Some of the freshest prosciutto I've had in awhile. The $14 sandwich was composed of fresh focaccia, balsamic, arugula, tomato, provolone, and prosciutto di parma - absolutely delicious! Will come back for a lunch treat just down the strreet from the office!

Excellent sandwich! Everything was so simple but so good! I got a make your own hot sandwich highly recommend. Included sundried tomatoes and garlic aioli spread yum! Plenty of seating. Would come back for sure. New lunch spot. The lunch time rush is real though so maybe work around that.

Decided to try this place out during my lunch break! There's not many options in the financial district since the pandemic. First impressions the place is aesthetically pleasing and the aroma of deli meats is amazing. The reason for the three star review is solely because the lady who took our order spoke to my colleague and I as if we were incompetent. Made us both really uncomfortable but we still chose to order a meal to help the small business to continue to thrive in the not so busy city.

If you're a fan of prosciutto, I recommend you try the Bello Prosciutto sandwich with an incredibly fluffy and aromatic rosemary-infused focaccia bread. You can also order your own custom sandwich made to your liking!

What is amazing place it's beautiful inside the chef Derrick is always there. He's overseeing everything. He has 25 sandwiches and puts up his favorite ate, but they do everything from minestrone to any kind of sandwich or prepared deli packs. You want to take home as well. Staff (Samuel and gloria) are super cool and high-quality meats, homemade focaccia bread, and all sorts of Italian favorites, salamis pastas olives, etc..

Friendly service, good coffee and breakfast items, clean, comfortable spot to stop into when early for an appointment. Looking forward to trying them for lunch.

So the owner chased me down and told me to please keep the tarallini and he was sorry. He informed me at the time that he had sent me an email, and he updated his yelp with the phone number. Pass by this place everyday on the way to work so I decided to patronize. Long line which is expected at lunch hour. So no big deal I'll wait. Ordered the porchetta panini which I was super excited for. Who doesn't like porchetta? When I got my order it seemed strange that my panini was super small and there was a soup in there as well, I asked the cashier if this order was correct and if I'm supposed to get a soup with my sandwich. She said yes and kind of pushed me along to get to the next customer. It's busy so whatever, come to find out that I got someone else's order. Which was a soup and sandwich combo of mortadella and Brie plus an Italian wedding soup. Super disappointed being that the sandwich I paid for was more expensive and I was really looking forward to trying their porchetta. Would like to support local businesses but it's hard when you are disappointed in what you get.

We ordered hot panninis that were the bomb! As good as being transported to Tuscany. I got Bella Mortadella, friends got The Don and Tartufo Vegetarian. Will definitely be back.

Great lunch spot in FiDi! We did a large work order and they charmingly made all of our sandwiches into salads. I say that but it was actually better than expected - it came with bread so almost a deconstructed sandwich :) Highly recommend and great for vegetarians and meat eaters alike!

Amazingly delicious authentic Italian cafe with market items as well. Delicious hot or cold sandwiches, yummy soups, fresh salads, pastries and Lavazza coffee as well as a great assortment of cold beverages. Dine in or grab and go. Great place to buy a gift for a foodie friend. Staff is really knowledgeable and accommodating. I look forward to trying everything on the menu!

Decided to try this spot out for lunch and man am I glad we did! There was a line when we got there but it moved pretty quick. The woman ringing us up was delightful and helped us make some choices. Scored a table and waited about 10 min for our name to be called. I ordered the Salumi Picante on focaccia and it did not disappoint! The meats pretty much melted in your mouth. The chili spread was mild but flavorful with a slight sweetness. The Stracchino cheese added a creamy texture that elevated the sando. If you're tired of the same boring deli sandwiches, give this place a try!

Wow this is probably my favorite lunch sandwich place now! The Piazza Porchetta was absolutely perfect - warm focaccia, flavorful Porchetta, and a nice truffle sauce. Highly highly recommend stopping by

Absolutely delicious. I had The Don on focaccia and minestrone soup. The sandwich was perfect, bread was amazing. Perfect fresh ingredients and loved the bread.

Stopped by for lunch during the work week. Ordered the pesto pollo panini and a small minestrone soup. The sandwich bread was focaccia and it was delicious. The inside of the shop is also very nice, clean, and a good selection of stuff to buy.

Office is across the street and noticed this place just opened up. Essentially an Italian cold cuts store with salads and sandwiches. I got the Don, absolutely incredible. The meat is some of the best I've had, the focaccia is perfect, and the truffle spread is insane. They were super nice in the store as well. I will be trying everything from this place and highly recommend you do as well.

Support your local food spot!! Well this spot is pretty awesome to look at has the a great ambiance in side and who doesn't like that logo in front of the store. I went here for breakfast and got croissants with percioutto and mozzarella panini style. It's delicious and with that great coffee on the side makes my morning go. Highly recommend everything in this spot. The people that work here is down to earth and fast service. "Don't need to take my word for it." Just try it!!

I tried the "Don". It was mediocre, the bread was dry to the point of crumbling, and it just tasted bland. The owner or manager guy behind the counter that afternoon was pretty rude to his employees, it was off-putting. Don't think I'll come back!

The tomato bisque is just so creamy and light. I also got half of a chicken pesto panini for a combo deal so its a definite win. Just about 3 minutes from my office too. Highly recommended.

Sandwiches straight out of Italy! Awesome place to pick up Italian imports like spaghetti sauce and pasta too. Minestrone soup and the Don sandwich has the freshest prosciutto all cut to order. Service is awesome and staff is friendly!

Love this place! I come here for coffee in the morning and a sandwich for lunch! Everything I have had is absolutely delicious. The food is fresh and the customer service is top notch! Samuel starts my day off right with his bright smile and the first sip of my cappuccino!

Generally speaking, it's hard for me to be effusive about sandwiches. Slap some ingredients between carbs, what's so special about that? But here at Il Porcelain Grasso they take those ingredients and carbs seriously. I had gotten the salumi picante. The tomato was juicy and meaty, the arugula was the spiciest I think I've ever had. Then the meat and mayo itself was flavorful and delicious. I had asked for the focaccia instead of the soft roll that goes with it, and loved the fluffy, thick texture of the bread. The prices were reasonable. Would highly recommend!

Best sandwich in the city is the piazza porchetta with black garlic aioli on focaccia. Incredibly good sandwiches, definitely a must try if you're in the area.

I created this yelp account (which I've put off for years), to gush over this new spot in my neighborhood. The space is incredible, like a small grocery store with Italian fare. The owner is front and center, the sandwiches are mind blowing good! I had the pesto chicken on focaccia, and I almost cried tears of joy. Literal welling up! I had chili spread on the side and it was the best hot sauce I've ever had. I also had fresh squeezed orange juice and espresso. I'm so glad to have found this spot. They are new and are planning expansions to the menu and service. Can't wait to go back this week and try the Italian mortadella panini.

Came across this new spot while i was in from out of town....my sando was incredible! i went with the piazza porchetta (on a ciabatta roll with truffle oil)...felt like i was back in italy during ferragosto! they mentioned they also do catering, so i'll definitely be back
