I can’t say enough good things about the food here—10/10 every time. The drinks are great, and I’ve never had a bad meal. I don’t leave negative reviews lightly, which makes this especially disappointing.
I came in last night for my birthday with a group of 10. We called a week ahead and were told reservations are taken day-of, so we called right when they opened at 2:00 PM and requested a 6:30 PM table. We arrived early at 6:15 and were told they were waiting on a table—no problem.
At 7:00 PM, I politely asked the hostess how much longer it might be, mentioning we had tickets to an 8:30 event. Her response was, “We don’t like to ask people to leave,” and she walked off. Shortly after, the manager told us he “paid them to leave,” which I never asked for. There was no apology for seating us 30 minutes late or acknowledgment that this was a birthday.
One more person joined due to the wait, and they kindly allowed us to add them, which we appreciated. However, throughout the experience, we were made to feel like an inconvenience despite being nothing but patient and polite.
This has always been one of my favorite places, but it was disappointing to feel that way on my birthday or any day. I hope this feedback helps.
