We were in Tempio to explore the area as a possible place to live. We spent the day exploring the streets and shops and, as it was a Monday, found that many restaurants were closed. My husband read about Il Purgatorio and made a reservation. What a wonderful experience! From the golden light that beckoned us in to the warm greeting from Piere to the wonderful food, wine and service. Our evening at Il Purgatorio helped us to decide Tempio was the right town for us! We'll be back soon (and hopefully often) to dine again! :)

It's a great place to have dinner. It's situated in the historical center of Tempio Pausania, in a nice, cozy building. The food is delicious and local. There is a lot of passion invested in this restaurant and in the menu and they have a wide selection of Sardinian wines. The owner is friendly and competent. Highly recommended.

What an amazing discovery! Right in the center of Tempio Pausania a place where tradition is gently presented in tasty dishes. Really the best place where to eat in Tempio
