This was our second visit to Il Terrazzo Carmine, our first being in 2013 for our wedding anniversary. The service and food remain superb! My wife and I have been eager to return, and we couldn’t be more pleased with our experience. The quality has been consistently excellent, making our visit truly delightful. Highly recommended! Looking forward to our next visit.

We picked this place from a few articles talking about Seattle’s best restaurants, and decided to celebrate my husband’s birthday here. The experience was AMAZING! The staff was friendly, professional and catered to my request for a quiet and corner table. The whole ambiance feels classy, warm and elegant. We got here at 5pm and by 5:30 the restaurant already started to fill up. We chose a few dishes from the Specials: Grilled Peach Salad (peach so juicy and walnuts roasted to perfection!), pappardelle with lobster sauce (very generous portion of lobster claw meat!), and saffron risotto with Manila clams (fatty clam and saffron juice coating every grain of rice!). The food portion is generous. We were able to clear all our plates even after eating two full baskets of bread lol. The staff even brought a tiramisu cake for us to celebrate the birthday, which is a really nice surprise. We still decided to order cannoli with pistachio as dessert. It is good but not as impressive as the free tiramisu lol. Overall we really enjoyed ourselves and highly recommend to anyone who loves Italian food in an upscale setting.

Lovely spot! Great food! Had the Gnocchi Sorrentina and a Creme Brulee. Their current cocktails are great. And the staff are all very attentive and nice. whether stopping in for a drink and quick appetizers or the full experience the atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming.

The Risotto of the day was with pesto and scallops. One of us was able to sub the protein for prawns. It was absolutely deliciously and cooked perfectly to a nice al dente. We also tried the Rigatoni Bolognese that was a traditional favorite. The special squash blossoms appetizer is a must if they are available. They are filled with ricotta cream and gently topped with a marinara sauce.

I saw this place on social media so I needed to check it out. I would recommend reserving a table because it seemed pretty booked upon arrival. Parking was valet and complimentary during dinner hours, and all staff were very accommodating. The menu was very simple and there’s pretty much every part of an Italian cuisine you can think of, from antipasta, to your pasta or meats and vegetables. The gnocchi and Bolognese were excellent choices, very flavorful dishes, one is more creamy and tomato based while the other is more meaty, but both tasty nevertheless. This place is a must go for a date night or special occasion!

Excellent service! Upscale atmosphere. We had inside seating but there is a lovely patio that I would like to try on beautiful day. There is valet parking but we found street parking around the corner. We had a drink while we waited for the rest of our party. The black manhattan was spirit forward but smooth. The Calamari Affogati was cooked perfectly. The Prosciutto Con Melone was Prosciutto Con Melone . We were a party of 8. 6 ordered pasta myself included. I did not taste the other pasta dishes but was told they were delicious. The Lombata Di Vitello Al Rosmarino was perfect not only in presentation but in flavor - tender with the right amount of seasoning. The dessert selections were typical. Overall great experience and will be back.

Google
Wow! Just wow. Service is 6 stars, after a few days of QR code menus, it was nice to have a dialog about the menu. Mike was amazing! I had the Scaloppine Di Vitello with a sub in of Rigatoni Bolognese for the risotto for a slight upcharge. The entire experience is top notch, and hits your taste buds with every bite from the bread to the entree. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and service. I found a parking spot on the street but could see how that could be a challenge.

We came here on New Year’s Eve and had a lovely dinner. The staff were very nice and welcoming, although it was very busy. The food was delicious. The rustic Italian atmosphere was perfect.

Yelp
Amazing food, service, and ambiance! Went here for my anniversary and they really pulled out all of the stops! Shoutout to our server, Fabrizio!

Yelp
Have had an enjoyable few evenings at this establishment, but our experience still leaves a few things to be desired, specifically given the price you pay. -We had a reservation, but it was approximately 35min from when we walked in the door until we had our first cocktail in hand. This is a detrimental experience for a dedicated and talented boozer like myself. -Food is good! Authentic Italian- but not drastically better or different than other restaurants in the city, in my un-humble opinion. -Non-alcoholic berry spritz was $15.00. That simply cannot stand. I refuse to let this go unnoticed. I may be back in the future, but given the choice, I'll likely go elsewhere!

Yelp
Enjoyed this Italian restaurant in Pioneer Square. We got the caesar salad, carpaccio, ravioli, and duck. I loved the parmesan on the caesar salad but thought it was a bit too overpowering in the carpaccio. The ravioli was yummy but the best part of this dinner was the duck. It was so tender and I loved the cherry glaze. Of course, I had to get tiramisu to finish the meal. The service was excellent! Our waiter checked in on us frequently and was extremely helpful. TIP: they can validate parking for $15 during lunch and complementary parking for dinner services

Abby S.

Yelp
Loved the atmosphere of this spot in Pioneer Square - it felt intimate and cozy, perfect for a winter day. Service was great and our server provided some good recommendations. We had the Ossobucco and the Rigatoni Bolognese. The small portion of the pasta was the perfect serving without leaving me feeling overstuffed or hungry. Dessert options all looked delicious but we opted for the classic tiramisu. Definitely will be back here again in the future!

Yelp
OHHHHH YEAHHH! We've been wanting to try for the last few years, so we made it over to celebrate our 31st Anniversary. Love the valet at King Street, and the 'inside sneak' to the restaurant courtyard. Beautiful outside terrace dining with fire, but we opted for inside since it was our first time. We were greeted warmly despite our 45 minute delay during to 2 games, 2 crashes, and a 405 closure - but we did call twice and keep them updated. Brought to our table with a Happy Anniversary card waiting. Great Manhattan and Prosecco cocktail to start. Dinner was a wonderful grilled pear and goat cheese salad, a nice carmelized onion soup with tenderloin, Osso Bucco with the lightest buttered herb fettuccini I ever remember having, and a capellini de mare with clams and prawns. The capellini had a wonderful almost reduced-cioppino sauce that brought a lot of seafood flavor. Osso Bucco was incredible, and I actually pulled the marrow and tossed it with the fettuccini. Tiramisu and wonderful Americano with cream and sugar to wrap things up. Will go again. Will take friends. Despite some larger parties in the restaurant, noise was not an issue at all.

Yelp
I made a reservation for a weekday evening, and it was really easy to make on Open Table. The restaurant is so classy, and there is an expectation of business casual attire. The server was really great, and I thought his jokes were hilarious. He also was clear in his communication with us so we knew what to expect for the dinner. I ordered the Gazzosa as my drink, and I loved it. It was light and fizzy, and I didn't want something alcoholic so it was perfect. For food, we got a Burrata as an appetizer. The dish came with some peaches and arugula; it was very delicious and refreshing. I also ordered the large Rigatoni Bolognese. The pasta was al dente, sauce flavorful, and meat tender. I love bolognese and was very happy with this dish. For dessert, I got a cheesecake and it was also very tasty. I actually forgot my leftover dessert when I left. When I went back to grab it, all the servers knew where to direct me to, so I appreciated that.

Yelp
My mom is 93 and she loves the sweetbreads at ITC! Brought her Saturday night with two other friends and the evening was perfect! Outstanding service (I am so embarrassed I cant remember her name), excellent food (the best sea bass I have ever had) and again, an all around perfect evening! Many thanks to all at Il Terrazzo Carmine!

Miko B.

Yelp
Il Terrazzo Carmine delivers a delightful dining experience with its warm ambiance and attentive service. The pork chop was perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with flavor. The lamb rack was equally impressive and well-seasoned. Among the 3 pasta dishes that we ordered -- the penne con salmone, the gnocchi sorrentina, and the canneloni fiorentina -- I enjoyed them equally but thought the last one was the most interesting.

Bri K.

Yelp
My department leadership dinner was hosted here in the private banquet room (we had 15 people.) I'm already wanting to go back and enjoy another dining experience there! I can't say enough good things about the staff - Ryan in particular was fabulous and incredibly patient with our boisterous group. The wine recommendations and options were also fantastic. But the real selling point is the food. Every dish from appetizer to salad to pasta to entree to dessert was fantastic and good sized portions as well. Definitely recommend for a special night out our group function if you're looking for a spot!

Phoebe C.

Yelp
Love the atmosphere and very high-quality Italian food. The service is wonderful and was very accommodating. How do you recommend starting with the beef carpaccio or the walnut salad. The rigatoni is always a classic. Highly recommend making a reservation at this place!

Yelp
Loved the vibe of the place and the great service. They were very helpful in helping understand the menu and giving suggestions of what goes well. Limited options in vegetarian but can convert any pasta to without meat option. The burrata was flavorful! The Gnocchi and Pesto Fettuccine were delicious. Wide variety of speciality cocktails and wines to choose from. Tried the Spritz and it was refreshing! The highlight was the dessert menu. Got the entire dessert menu for the table including cheesecake, crème brûlée, tiramisu, chocolate cake and cannoli. hard to choose from this but tiramisu was a personal favourite.

Yelp
We came for dinner on Friday night. Our reservation was at 7pm but our table wasn't ready so we were offered to wait at Bar Sosa. We were seated ~15min after our reservation. The service was very off this night - we usually go to the Bellevue location which is always on point across the board. Tables were smushed together, back of chairs being bumped by people walking by, purses being knocked off the back of chairs, serves/bussers were dropping/breaking things because it's just too crammed. We were a party of 6 at a table clearly for 4 people, but there was not a different table to swap to. It became noticeable how long it was taking to get a server to come by or for food to come out. The food is great but service was just not it. We will go to Bellevue moving forward.

Matthew P.

Yelp
We went here before going to a show, valet parking at the building next door, which was great. Very attentive and friendly staff, knowledgeable in the menu and the ins and outs of the specials, wines, etc. It was busy and the right kind of noise level to feel like you were in the right place to get a good meal. I would encourage anyone to ask about the sizing of the pastas because if you want to get salads and or appetizers as well you might not need the large size, but if you like to share with your partner or group, then they have you covered. Everything was prepared with care and plated so nice without being pretentious. The lobster pappardelle was so rich with seafood flavor and large amount of lobster meat but very light. The scallops melted in your mouth and went well with the corn risotto. Both were ever so sweet. Amazing crème brûlée with coffees to end the meal. Would highly recommend!

Yelp
This is one of my 3 go-to places for a nice meal in Seattle. I primarily come here for lunch where I usually order the NY steak with a side of the Spaghetti Aglio E Olio, which is the best! On this visit, we each ordered the Chilean Sea Bass with mushrooms and a side of the Aglio E Olio, so many good things on one plate. We sat at one of the tables in the bar area, which was intimate and quiet. Our server kept our drinks filled and was quite attentive. The service and the food never disappoint. As Wendi K says 'The crusty bread and butter is impeccable.' The bread comes from Grand Central Bakery and is specifically made for Il Terrazzo and is served warm. Of course, I had to try their new flourless chocolate cake that comes with a side of vanilla ice cream. It was a great way to finish off our meal!

Yelp
Best classic Italian restaurant we've found in the Seattle area since we moved here 3 years ago.. Maybe the best, attentive wait staff as well. Definitely expensive, though.

Our R.

Yelp
Best Italian food we have had in many years .. celebrated a special anniversary here and the food was delicious, service was so top notch and the attention to details was certainly noticeable. it is now our 1st option for dinner each time we visit Seattle ..

Judy R.

Yelp
This is a wonderful restaurant. Ambiance and food are terrific. It's an old and established restaurant. Perhaps a bit pricey but worth every penny.

Samantha L.

Yelp
For some reason I do not see the food items in the online menu that we ordered on my birthday. For appetizer we ordered the Bruschetta (3 different way), it was okay. We thought the bruschetta toast was too think and hard which made it hard to eat. They topped too many items on each toast and made it messy to eat. For my entree I ordered some kind of pasta with lobster meat. That too was just okay. For dessert I was presented a slice of Tiramisu which was tasty actually. Our server had no personality (I forgot his name) and the location of the restaurant was hard to find since its located inside a building.

Wendi K.

Yelp
4.5 Stars Had a lovely birthday dinner here :) Cozy but upscale and beautiful ambience. A bit of hiccup in the beginning as they couldn't seat us for our reservation right away, and ended up giving us a bar table. The crusty bread and butter is impeccable. Caprese ($20) - small but fine. Fresh, milky mozzarella. Loved how they split this into two for us. Tequila Old Fashioned ($28 each) - this was such a good old fashioned Veal Ravioli ($21 for small which was 8 raviolis) - Great! Risotto Special ($30ish? i didn't really look at the bill) - Super rich and cheesy, good portions Birthday Tiramisu - bdecadent but light. An amazing tiramisu. Bill came out $170 after tax and 20% tip. Overall the food / drinks items themselves are overpriced but really you pay for the experience as a whole. Limited street parking, but they also offer free valet. Shoutout to Mike - he is absolutely Amazing!

Selena L.

Yelp
Highly recommend this place if you're looking to go on a date with your partner, the food tasted fantastic. The service was amazing and the food came fast to our table. The bartender and servers were so kind and respectful!

Don S.

Yelp
Service 4/5 stars; ambiance 5/5; food 4/5; seevice 4/5 Ossobuco was a very big disappointment otherwise would've given 5 stars.

Danielle D.

Yelp
This is the cutest, tucked away Italian spot. The ambiance was everything! Our food was good and the service was spectacular.

Cheri F.

Yelp
What an amazing dinner. We forgot to take pics but if ur in Seattle and you want true authentic Italian this is your place. We started out with carpaccio, which was excellent. My only desire is that they would've had capers on top but still excellent none the less Moved on to their soup special, which was lentil. Unfortunately this did not meet my expectation as it was very bland. Then onto the salad special, which was a mixed green salad with dates, goat cheese, toasted walnuts, and an olive oil and light balsamic dressing. One of my favorite salads I've ever tasted The main course was the Bolognese rigatoni made with beef, veal and pork which had to be the lightest bolognese we have ever tasted. We had to skip dessert as we were too full

Shaun T.

Yelp
Darn good Italian restaurant downtown. Here on a Wednesday and full crowd by 7 pm. The lentil soup is an excellent appetizer size bowl of goodness. Tonight's special was the over offered Chilean sea bass but this was incredibly done. Crispy exterior and perfectly cooked mini cut over a tomato compote with a parsley risotto.

John R.

Yelp
Can't say enough about these guys, great food, ambience and if you appreciate great service, it doesn't get much better! Great job guys!

Yelp
Great food and service! My friend and I had a wonderful lunch there while visiting Seattle 3 weeks ago. I ate a delicious salmon and pasta al olio. My friends and I shared a tasty tiramisu and cannoli. I loved how the desserts were presented all on a big tray. I definitely recommend this place.

Susana H.

Yelp
Came here for my birthday. Such a cute perfect spot to celebrate for lunch. Sat in the patio and was obsessed with the ambiance. Service was excellent. Food was good but not memorable. I would come back for a celebration but not because I'm craving the food. Not saying the food was terrible, it just didn't make me go "omg this is delicious!".

Andrew L.

Yelp
For what it's worth, I have generally ignored Pioneer Square for most of my life. For what it's worth, I have been generally wrong and have been corrected many times over. In this case, a wonderful, shining example of good solid Italian food can be found in this section of town. It's tucked inside a lovely building that is filled with exposed beams and natural wood; you will not see it from 1st Ave. Once inside, you are welcomed like a family member; the staff literally treat you like you belong here, as if you have been here many, many times (which is what you will be doing after you eat here). I was here as part of our end-of-year team dinner; a group of eleven (11) of us met to reflect on a wonderful year together and hopes for 2024. While I stopped drinking alcohol years ago, my wine-loving friends found bottles of wonderful red liquid that very much satisfied their tastes. I satisfied my tastes with a Diet Coke. Our table ordered appetizers, and they were wonderful. Bruschetta Con Granchio (crab meat on bread with tomatoes), Prosciutto Con Melone (Prosciutto with melon), Calamari Fritti (squid with garlic, capers), Spinaci Soffritti (sautéed spinach), and Burrata (cheese with veggies) graced our table... which promptly graced our faces. Each was flavorful, delicious, and hit the spot during our cantankerous night. My main was Bistecca All Pepe Verde (New York Steak with a peppercorn sauce and shoestring potatoes, cooked medium rare). It's a wonderful piece of meat, butchered perfectly, with basically no gristle or bits that were inedible. Would highly recommend if you are into a tasty steak. So yes, there is good Italian here, in a corner of town that I, even a native-born son, may have written off. Of course, that was my mistake, corrected by my thoughtful co-workers who showed me the light. Absolutely recommend.

Yelp
I had the most splendid, elegant dining experience at II Terrazzo Carmine the other night for dinner. I wanted to go somewhere extra special with my friend on the last night of our trip and was happy when I found this place online and was able to get a reservation. It caught my attention because of its spot on yelps list of the most romantic restaurants in the U.S. I can definitely see why it's on there! Such a beautifully decorated restaurant. Classic with modern touches. Everything we ate was delectable. The menu was large and had lots of good options. I like that they offered half portions of the pasta if you wanted to share or try other dishes. On the expensive side but not as much as other nicer restaurants in the area. My friend absolutely loved the duck he ordered and said it "fell right off the bone". My eggplant Parmesan was delicious as well. The sauce tasted fresh and homemade. For desserts they come around with a tray and you can choose what you want which I loved. We got the red velvet cake. Solid cake, very good. Service was above and beyond. Our waters always being filled and felt extremely attended to. The restaurant provides free valet parking for anyone dining there for up to 4 hours. This was so convenient and helpful as parking is pretty tricky downtown. I would highly recommend this spot for a special occasion. Did not disappoint.

Patty C.

Yelp
Awesome in every way!! The fine dining experience was comfortable and understated elegance. The quality of the food was excellent as was the service!

Michael X.

Yelp
I haven't had the opportunity to try too many Italian places in the Seattle area, and after reading the menu online and hearing about recommendations about this restaurant, I thought it would be a great opportunity to swing by on my birthday and give this place a try! We made a reservation for 6:30pm about a month in advance - though this may be early, we were trying to aim for a busy holiday week since seats usually get booked. I could see the parking situation for this restaurant getting difficult on really busy weeks, there likely are parking garages in the surrounding area and street side parking that can fill up fast, so keep that in mind when you decide to pay a visit. The ambience of the restaurant is nice - the lighting is a bit dim inside since the only lighting is through their chandeliers. The tables are lined with mood candles, and service is decently fast. The menu is not too expansive, and there were many interesting options to try. We got a good variety of items, which I'll review down below: Fricasse Di Funghi Selvaggi ($16): If you are looking for a decadent, velvety, and creamy appetizer, then this dish is for you! I really enjoyed how smooth the polenta was, and every bite was infused with a slightly cheesy flavor and a very subtle grainy texture that was delightful. The cheesy flavor is also complemented by the pancetta and shallots, as the smokey savoriness was something that very pleasing. Fettuccine Al Pesto Con Gamberi ($29 for large): A solid and filling plate of pasta! The pesto flavor came through really strongly, and combined nicely with the chewy and full noodles. They provided a generous amount of huge whole shrimp scattered throughout the pasta. Costata Di Maiale Facito Con Mele e Pancetta ($39): If you are looking for a hearty dish that includes a big pork chop, then look no further! The pork chop was delicious and tender, and the richness was cut nicely with the apple and pancetta stuffing and mustard glaze. One thing that I would critique is the bed of risotto-esque rice that was underneath the pork chop, the rice wasn't super flavorful and didn't have a really pleasing texture (was a bit grainier than expected) and impacted the experience a bit. But overall, a solid dish if you want some apples and pork! Ossobuco ($55): I think this was the most indulging thing that I have tried on my visit here. The veal was fall apart and had excellent texture and flavor, the sauce was rich and had a thick and hearty profile. The noodles were decadent and covered fully with what I think was a buttery sauce that you could also enjoy with Ossobuco sauce. On top of all this, there was bone marrow that had pudding consistency that was delicious. It does have a steep price, but I think it is worth the celebration if you can afford it. Dessert Tray Ice cream ($13): For dessert, it seemed like they had rotating options as the waitress mentioned the flavor at the time of this review was a tiramisu/coffee flavor with a biscotti. The ice cream is tasty, had good coffee/cream flavor. I'm not sure if the dessert is warranted the $13, but we wanted to try everything as it was our first time here. In the end, we paid about $200 after tax and tip for the experience and everything that you see here. You get what you pay for here, and Il Terrazzo Carmine is definitely a very solid pick if you are looking for that fine dinning experience with splendid Italian food. I would definitely like to revisit in the future for another special occasion to try the other options that this establishment has to offer (4.75 stars!)

Flo G.

Yelp
This is one of the best restaurants I have ever experienced. I have been in the industry and I have to say the attention to detail is impeccable. I went to lunch with my boss and a few co workers and I was excited to try everything. I had the latte, the halibut and lemon butter pasta special they had today, and the crème brûlée. Our server was amazing and I can't wait to come back.

Clifton C.

Yelp
I was recently in Seattle and a friend highly recommended dining here. The service, ambiance and food was on point in every way. I loved the attentive service, which included keeping the bread basket and Wine glass filled. This is unpretentious classy fine dining! I loved my Penette Con Salmone and the Spumoni Gelato. My partner had the Rigatoni Bolognese and the Classic Caesar Salad. We were glad we went here to dine. One of the highlights of our trip to Seattle!

Maria P.

Yelp
We decided to try out Il Terrazzo Carmine for an early birthday dinner tonight, and we were truly blown away. The atmosphere of the restaurant is incredibly charming and inviting! Every staff member we interacted with was so gracious and kind. Our server, Eric, was nothing short of incredible. He went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing dinner. Not to mention, the food was outstanding. Some of the best Italian food I've ever had. Highly recommend!

Mike J.

Yelp
Just noticed that yelp has an inbox. Owner did respond and called me garbage and demanded that I take down the review...the only thing I neglected to mention was that my wife was obviously pregnant, we had walked from the stadium to the restaurant assuming a 60 minute window before closing was fine.... and then it became difficult for us to find food so late while we were on our trip. I think we ended up ordering Pizza Hut.

Sophia T.

Yelp
The service here was phenomenal. They were super attentive and kind. Our waiter noticed that I didn't touch my dish at all and didn't charge us for it. I have mixed feelings about the place, but that could be based on my experience (yours could be different). They have an Italian style and dark ambiance here. They offer 4 hour valet parking with parking validation if you dine here. Food Pennette con salmon - luckily the server noticed that I wasn't really enjoying this dish as much. They were so kind as to not charge us for it. The fish had a very fishy taste and smell. The pasta did not taste like vodka cream sauce. It tasted pretty watered down and bland. Sauce was not clinging onto the pasta and can barely even taste or see the sauce. Ravioli di capriolo- it tasted much better than the salmon dish, but it's not mind blowing enough for me to come back here. Costolette D'Agnello Provinciale- this was the best dish out of all 3 of the dishes we got. The lamb chops were cooked to perfection. It came with fettuccine pasta which was a nice surprise. However, the sauce wasn't clinging to the pasta or I can barely see any sauce on it. It was sort of bland and not creamy at all.

Megan O.

Yelp
Wow!! I met my sister for dinner at II Terrazzo and it was amazing! The wine selection was great and we opted for the Willamette Valley Pinot and weren't disappointed. For the starter, I had the Caesar Salad and my sister had the blackberry and fig salad and both were sooo yummy! For the entree, I had the braised halibut over risotto with mussels in a red sauce - it was one of the best meals I've had all year! My sister opted for the salmon pasta and was very happy with her choice. The service was excellent and the ambiance delightful. I am looking forward to coming back and trying other menu options. So good!

Tracy A.

Yelp
My sentiments are going to echo many reviews already posted, but my main point is that I am pleasantly surprised and happy to say this is a rare spot in Seattle that NOT overrated. It's a low lit, white linen, romantic vibe. However, we saw everything from couples, to guys night out, to a sales pitch going on during our visit. It was Wednesday evening, and we did not reserve because it was spur of the moment. We arrived about 5:30 and were able to get a primo street parking spot, but I understand they do have underground validated parking. The hostess said she could seat us if we got out by 7pm, and we just made it; but we had 3 courses. Our server was fantastic. He was friendly and efficient even though the place was full by 6:30. So, if possible, I recommend reservations. We had eggplant parmesan, ravioli di pesce, gnocchi, flourless chocolate cake, red velvet cake, and cappuccino. All of it was delicious, and none of us had any critique whatsoever. In the future, for my personal preference because I was so happy with the food, I would spend my appetite on the main courses and forgo dessert. I experienced much more euphoria over our plates and even the butter and bread than the dessert. For me, the butter is perfection. Creamy, a little sweet, and the rustic bread with its soft center and strong crust that gives just a little pull when you bite it. I could have it all again today and not change a thing!

Yelp
We came here to celebrate a special birthday on Tuesday evening. You definitely need to make reservations if coming in a group of 4+ because the restaurant is quite busy. Seating is a bit tight. It's also dimly lit and the noise level is a bit higher than expected so not great if you're planning to have philosophical conversations. A few of us ordered the small pasta size, which is about a little more than half a serving. The large size is a regular portion. Overall, good ambiance. Of note - I appreciated the gluten free spaghetti option, which can be substituted into most dishes. - Parking is validated and available in an underground garage off the Main Street. It's free for dinner but $15 for lunch, I believe. - Capellini De Mare was yummy but could have been more flavorful.

Yelp
My experience here was absolutely DIVINE. Came with my best friend to Seattle and after much deliberation, decided on Il Terrazzo Carmine for our send-off dinner. That said, couldn't have been happier with our decision. The location was a little bit tricky to find since it's in something that resembles an office building- but the restaurant itself is beautiful and warmly-lit. The menu is super classic Italian. Loved the wide selection of dishes, and the flexibility to get smaller portions of pastas. Our server, Ryan, was OUTSTANDING. We were a bit indecisive but he provided excellent recommendations and helped us plan our dinner so we'd get to try the right dishes, in the right portions, in the correct order. We started with the Dungeness crab bruschetta- this was SO GOOD. The crab was incredibly fresh, and a wonderfully bright start to the meal. Our next course was the risotto with crab, shaved zucchini, and folded in mascarpone. This was just absolutely fantastic. The texture of the risotto was perfectly creamy and it was so satisfying finding lumps of crab in it. Our third course was the Linguine di vongole. The clams, again, tasted super fresh and I loved having visible slices of garlic in the sauce. The hint of tomato balanced everything out and we nearly licked the bowl clean. Once we were done with the savories, Ryan brought out an impressive looking tray of dessert options. We decided on the crème brûlée which, of course, was nothing short of perfection. Overall, even though I was exhausted from my trip, I couldn't be more happy with the meal I chose to end it with.

Yelp
Went here for my birthday dinner and it was amazing!! From the food to the service. The ambiance is incredible but is a little loud. We also ordered the calamari (not pictured) it was one of the best calamari dishes I've ever had! 10/10 would recommend for a date night or special occasions dinner!

Yelp
I love the concept. Amazing stuff and delicious food. It's like a little tour to italy! Especially espresso+tiramisu is a must try. You will taste the best tiramisu in Seattle. I strongly recommend that restaurant :)

Yelp
Pretty good. Little crowded how they jammed all the tables in. Otherwise food was good. It wasn't great but it was high quality so I'll take it. My seafood dish was spicier then I expected. The group enjoyed their food otherwise.

Yelp
Nothing but A1 hospitality when I came here for a birthday. The Risotto was absolutely delicious, and I barely had any room for dessert which was also amazing. I loved the outdoor seating, highly recommend making a reservation.

Yelp
Terrazzo *Cozy Italian restaurant that's perfect for date night* Every time I come here for dinner, I leave satisfied with both the food, the service and the overall ambiance of the restaurant. Food Nothing in their menu is short of amazing. It is ALL GOOD. The last two times I went, I ordered the following: Rack of Lamb(8/10); it came with which came with fettuccine, which paired fairly. Dungeness Crab Risotto(10/10); self explanatory Ossobuco (7/10) it came with fettuccine but it didn't pair well. Capellini Di Mare (10/10) I LOVE mussels and clams. The light sauce was perfected. Service Our waiter Nick was phenomenal and very nice! Some feedback for the restaurant. We came here for a celebratory event and the only person who mentioned it was the hostess who seated us. It's not required, but we would have preferred an acknowledgement of said celebration, or maybe free dessert. It was disappointing that didn't ruin the night. Ambiance This place looks like an Italian restaurant in NY in the 70s. The ambiance was cozy and romantic, but it is not required to dress up. Business casual, or even just a polo is enough. All in all, this restaurant gets 4/5 stars! We'll be back again!

Yelp
Reservations: They aren't as booked out as some other restaurants, but highly recommended for prime dinner time slots. Location/Parking: Pioneer Square - bustling downtown area. Parking is around the corner on S. King - follow the signs for Il Terrazzo Valet parking up to 4 hours. Super convenient - validated for dinner. Go up the elevator to lobby level, walk out and you'll see the outdoor seating of the restaurant just across the way. Ambiance: Elegant old school decor - like your grandmother's era, thick heavy curtains, flowers on the dishes, and the most beautiful menu - medieval font with the intricate flowery designs. We were there for dinner and they had the lighting very dim. The outside has a more modern feel - more minimalistic - cleaners lines. Service: 10 stars. From the moment we came in they were so professional and seemed bent on giving us the best experience possible. We asked to be seated outside since it was a nice day and they were able to fit us in outside. The dish I ordered did not taste good (more on this later) so I traded with my son who didn't like the dish either but was still willing to trade with me - he's the best! The waitress, Katya, noticed we switched and asked if everything was okay. I don't like to complain so I hemmed and hawed. She was so sweet and explained that a good restaurant should always make sure that their customers enjoy their food and have a good experience. She made me feel comfortable with ordering another dish and came by to make sure everything was to my liking. She could tell I was a little embarrassed to send the food back, and came by just to reassure me it's okay and that I'm the customer and deserve to have a good experience. 10 stars for Katya (I hope I got her name right!). Food: Assorted Antipasto - came with beets (loved), cold meats - prosciutto (loved), grilled veggies: eggplant (tasted over cooked/slightly burnt), bell peppers (delish), carrots (yum), onions (one of my favorites), cannelloni beans (not my favorite). All in all, I don't think I would order this again, but it was nice to try different things. Romaine la Griglia - waitress recommended this and this ended up being a favorite of the night. My son - my teenaged son - LIKED THIS!!!! The creamy gorgonzola was just the right dressing for the grilled romaine heart. Pennette Con Salmone - I had originally picked this, but my son wanted to order it so I let him :). He said it was the best salmon he ever had - not over cooked, very tender, and the sauce was great too - nothing too overpowering - delicate and blended well together. Costata Di Maiale Facito Con Mele e Pancetta - The size of the pork chops surprised me. HUGE! The taste, not so much. I took one bite and put my fork down. The pork chops themselves were bland, the apples and pancetta did not lend to the flavor of the pork chops - I think because there was so much pork that the flavors didn't come though. I tasted the apples and pancetta filling and it was bland too. Had it just been than, I would have been okay with the dish, but the mustard demi-glace sauce made it hard to eat. It was had a bitter, acrid taste - I had my son try it and he tasted it too. I would not order this dish again. Ravioloni Pesce - seafood ravioli (dinner take 2) - lots of crab, sauce was so lobstery (yes, I make up words), and I could immediately tell it was fresh pasta - there's a distinct difference and you can taste it. I would 100% order this again. Recommendation - I highly recommend this restaurant simply based on the service. Order the pasta dishes - this is where they shine. There's a slight hesitation for in me in ordering non-pasta dishes based on my experience, but even then, I know if it doesn't turn out well, I can order a different dish. Great for special occasions, or if you just want to feel a little pampered.

Yelp
I was recommended Il Terrazzo Carmine by a friend, and it did not disappoint! We were celebrating our two dear friends' anniversary :) The restaurant felt intimate even though it was bustling with people. It was dimly lit, the dining area was divided into many smaller rooms, & of course white tablecloths to finish the look. We were located in a far room in a cozy corner. I loved how they had a hand-written card wishing our friends a happy anniversary too! Super thoughtful. Service was very efficient. They quickly took our orders & quickly got our food going. They knew exactly how to course our food so we never felt rushed or hungry, waiting for the items to come out. All of the food we ordered.. was SO GOOD. Like 20/10 (and not just because we had a few drinks in our system lol). Literally everything we ordered was perfect, but here are a few must haves in my book: - Burrata Salad: 2 huge burrata balls w/ beets & other greens drizzled with balsamic. Maybe it's personal because I absolutely love beets, but it was so good! - Linguine Alle Vongole: the clam to pasta ratio was insane! I could hardly see the linguine noodles since there were so many clam shells. - Raviolini Pesce: large ravioli w/ super flavorful lobster cream sauce. Oh, heavens this was delicious!! I think it was my favorite dish of them ALL. - Ossobuco: super tender meat, and delicious pasta to soak up the good sauce! Are you hungry yet?? Have you made your reservation?? Anyways, huge fan of this spot, thank you to all staff who made our dinner memorable!
