Ilala Lodge Hotel

Had a wonderful 2 night stay with the folks at Ilala Lodge Hotel two weeks ago. The reception staff were phenomenal and the activities office staff were great in dealing with the short notice questions and excursions of a solo traveler. Great food in the restaurant! The bar staff was fantastic and the rooms were very nice! Only after leaving did I learn that I needed to try the carrot cake. Would definitely stay again if in the Victoria Falls area.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Ilala Lodge Hotel for two wonderful nights. The place is beautiful and very relaxing. The food was very nice and the staff very warm and friendly.|Our bed was super comfy and everywhere was spotlessly clean.|The hotel is well situated within Victoria Falls with restaurants and shops just a short walk away |The biggest treat though, was seeing wildlife wandering through the rear gardens. During our stay we watched impala, kudu, two young warthogs play fighting under the watchful eye of mum and just before we departed, two magnificent elephants grazing at the edge of the gardens. Wonderful location/perfect stay.

I came here on a solo holiday after a 14 day safari excursion. ||||I really enjoyed my experience here. ||The two pools are lovely, with a good wine selection. The property is open air with a good amount of security. |||| Breakfast is served every day with a scenic view, an elephant came for a visit one morning as well!||||Ilala is different from most resorts I have been to because there is a lot of staff on the property at your service.

We have just had a fan3 night's at Ilala Lodge in Zimbabwe. The staff were friendly and helpful, our room was beautiful, food served there was delicious. I definitely recommend staying at Ilala Lodge for a wonderful holiday.

This is a well appointed lodge with lovely, helpful staff, excellent bar and restaurant and other facilities I didn’t have time to use. The activities director was very knowledgeable and efficient allowing me to use limited time well. I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the history captured in illustrations from colonial days featured in the lounge areas. A great way to end my trip.

This was a perfect location after a frenetic week and a half travelling and safari. The grounds of the hotel are lovely with well attended gardens The rooms are spacious and overlook the gardens which often have wild animals roaming such water buck,warthogs and elephants.||The restaurant and bar side pool have good customer service and the food for all meals including breakfast is generally very good. We used the laundry service as we had been travelling and this was reasonable priced and came back usually the same day.||There are two small pools not suitable really for swimming and arent heated but are surrounded with plenty of sunloungers of different varieties which all add to the relaxing atmosphere.The hotel is located in easy walking distance from the Falls and plenty of markets- some makeshift and some more official ||The hotel also has a sister hotel on the river and is slightly grander with slightly better food ( there is a shuttle bus service to take you there ) but we as a family agreed that the Ilala had a much nicer feel.||We also did a tour of the falls and a sunset cruise while we were there- the hotel can organise both of these and would highly recommend both||0verall a great stay and would highly recommend

We have just had 3 fantastic nights at Ilala Lodge. The staff, the Lodge, the food and all the activities we did here are 5 star. Everyone was so helpful and we really enjoyed our time here. Thank you to everyone. We will be back!

Ilala lodge has been the best oasis for relaxing and celebrating the beauty of Victoria falls. The food is delicious, it’s been hard convincing myself to leave the premises because I want all my meals there. There are two pools, a bungalow and the service is really kind. I am happy with my experience here.
