Inspector's Take: Rome's One Michelin Star Imàgo

"Imàgo, the rooftop restaurant of the Hassler hotel, offers a breathtaking panorama of Rome. The restaurant, helmed by chef Andrea Antonini, features two tasting menus: one showcasing his classic favorites and another, 'Project', highlighting his creative talents. The dining experience is enhanced by stunning views through the restaurant's glass walls, featuring iconic sights of Rome. The menu includes unique dishes like sea cucumber in green sauce, porchetta-style seabass, and a standout butter and parmesan pasta with citrus and pollen, alongside a dessert of watermelon, almond, and olive." - The MICHELIN Guide

Imàgo

"Imàgo, the panoramic restaurant at the beautiful Hassler hotel (which stands at the top of the famous Spanish Steps in Piazza di Spagna), provides the stunning setting for young chef Andrea Antonini, who creates beautifully presented and imaginative cuisine inspired by ingredients and traditions from Italy (and occasionally Lazio). Antonini recommends his “blind” tasting menu, which selects what he considers to be the best dishes from his à la carte. The extensive and well-chosen wine list includes a good selection of non-Italian wines, with a particular focus on France, while the superb views of Rome are the icing on the cake, contributing to what is an elegant and unforgettable dining experience. Excellent service completes the picture." - Michelin Inspector

The best experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant. The food was art and tasted delicious. The waiters were amazing and I couldn’t have asked for more. View was amazing up there and there isn’t many tables in the restaurant so it felt more intimate and allowed the waiters to constantly be at your service. They’d talk to you and have conversations for you while you’re waiting for your food which wasn’t long at all, very informative and knowledgable people. Highly recommend. Men do have to have a suit jacket but this can be provided for you by the restaurant.

I took my wife here for her 50th birthday. Our first Michelin star dining experience and it was fantastic. From the amazing view of Rome to the white glove service and welcoming feel to the unique and delicious food offerings, Imago delivers on all fronts. Staff was informative and helpful while not being overbearing. Food was so unique and beautifully presented. We ate off the classic menu. The chef offered some extra appetizers which was nice. Amazing wine selection and we added the cheese sampling which was delicious. This is a dining affair and is truly special and memorable.

We had an amazing experience at Imago. Chef Andrea Antonini really pulls out all the stops for an incredible dining masterpiece. His various influences and wide varieties of flavors, creative dishes, and use of the highest quality ingredients from local farms allowed us to experience food , art and Rome all at once. The flavors and textures of his food are carefully curated and the menu changes every 6 months. The chef and staff were also very accommodating to my wife who cannot eat seafood. The service is impeccable with attention to detail and ensuring you have the best experience. Lastly, the restaurant is located at the top level of the hotel Hassler, above the Spanish steps. The backdrop of the Rome skyline at sunset made the night magical. Highly recommend and this was the best Michelin starred restaurant I have visited. For the amount of food, exquisite presentation, flavor, and variety that you get, every euro was well spent.

Google
I was really looking forward to dining at Imàgo — a Michelin-starred restaurant with a stunning location in the heart of Rome. The view is, indeed, beautiful. But unfortunately, the overall experience didn’t match the expectations that come with this kind of reputation and price point. Service felt formal to the point of being distant. Staff were efficient, but cold — we didn’t feel welcomed or cared for. At one point, we politely asked if we could move to a table with a better view (we weren’t told it required a special request when booking), and the response was a flat and emotionless “no.” Not even an attempt to explain or empathize. The food was good, but not exceptional. Nothing stood out in flavor or concept — and certainly not enough to make up for the lack of warmth. The whole evening felt more like we were attending a high-priced ritual than enjoying a memorable meal. If you're going for the view, it delivers. If you're going for a complete fine dining experience with heart and hospitality — there are better places in Rome, even without a star.

Google
Likely the best dining experience I've enjoyed. We choose the creative menu featuring imaginative, beautiful and amazingly delicious plates. Dishes celebrate more than just flavor, with combinations of texture and variety of temperatures superimposed in a single bite. Every single member of the staff made us feel welcome. They took interest, shared stories and laughed with us. Book early and request a window view, with a panorama of Rome. Thank you, chef Antonini, for sharing your passion throughout dinner and your gracious tableside greetings.

Located on top of a fancy hotel with a long tradition of famous people passing through. A stunning view of the city and sunset. Proper attire required. But not stuffy. The atmosphere is a mix of high class very attentive service, and friendly conversation. The staff were just the right amount of engaging and interested in feedback. We planned to get the classic menu, it looked the best on the website when we booked months ago. But they recently introduced a new summer menu. Upon inspection it was a no brainier to switch. Things like lobster and corn, pasta with lavender, sea cucumber and rabbit leaped out and caught my attention. They encourage you to take pictures, feel free to move about the dining room. Again: stunning view. The first and last things I noticed about the experience was my comfort. The chairs are captains chairs. Comfortable for both leaning back and taking in the view, and for leaning forward and dining. The dining experience started with the feeling of being wooed. Champagne cart, three Amuse Buche. One of which was plain and simple focaccia with tomato and basil. It looked just like what you find at every corner store and local restaurant in Italy. For this reason it stood out. And it tasted like having this dish for the first time. Like the best Italian food, it was simple but perfectly made. The new menu has four "Acts". In total, counting the "Sweet Cart" from which I was offered unlimited access, the entire meal consisted of 26 courses. We were warned in advance that the food would come relatively quickly from course-to-course. This sounded ok. And for my taste it worked perfectly. No lulls in the action or my palete. Also, not a single large dish. This approach gets a lot of points from me. My favorite dishes were the sorrel, almond and blueberry salad and the 'summer salad' which elevated the bar early on. Then the raw sweet prawn with apple and perfectly carved out, marinated lettuce pieces. The raw beef was to die for, but I recommend eating it without the Bearnaise sauce or only a tiny bit at first, otherwise you might miss the delicate beef flavor wonders. The rabbit ravioli was a risky maneuver from the chef, with carrot and ginger, balancing a hint of Asian flavor against classic pasta. It paid off. The one that stole my heart and surprised me the most was the 10-year aged Parmesan pasta dish with pollen (from Bees). I never knew pasta could have so much Umami (and without a single mushroom or cured pork piece). There were only 2 of 26  I was not impressed with. The spaghetti with figs offered a sweet surprise, but the lavender and basil were bitter and the sweet and bitter did not get along for me. A daring experiment worth trying, but maybe not quite right. I noticed that the table next to us did not like theirs. Then the lobster with sweetcorn. I was really excited to see this on the menu - two of my favorite ingredients, and the popcorn pineapple juice I had already had me excited about corn themed dishes. But it simply failed for me. This perfect piece of lobster tail with a delicate crispy batter was lost in a creamy sauce that not only did not fit, I did not taste like sweetcorn. It has a mustard like note that was not complementing the lobster. On the side was a delicious little sandwich bite, but whose main flavor was onion. Lobster plus onion plus not exactly sweet corn.... just did not gel with my palate. I'm offering my least favorite items as constructive feedback, because everything else about the food was more like a two Michelin star experience and flavors. Very high caliber dining. I just want to mention that I think that 20 Euro per juice - even with brilliantly creative flavors like pineapple popcorn - is too high. I only realized when the check came that I added 80 Euro just by drinking four wine-glass sized juices. Overall I am so glad I visited this restaurant. It was a full experience with fantastic service. The wine list was longer than a work of Shakespeare. Kudos to you.

Google
One of the most disappointing Michelin-star experiences ever. No one told us when booking that the panoramic view tables had to be requested separately. When we arrived and asked to switch seats, the staff gave us a flat-out no—with a bad attitude on top of it. For the price and status of this place, the service should be top-tier. Instead, they acted like they were doing us a favor just letting us eat there. Food was okay, but not memorable enough to justify the rest. Honestly, skip it. Rome has many better restaurants with real hospitality.

Google
Truly amazing fine Dining with stunning views of Rome and waiters who seem to love serving and love food. Beautiful highly inventive delicious food. Fautless. Eaten at several Michelin starred restaurants but this was truly many steps above and memorable. Highly recommend.

Yelp
The summer blood cocktail was out of this world! Served in a very long stem martini glass. First was a course that went with cocktail. Devil chips , a tartare beef ball, a crisp with pine URS and a non alcoholic bitter drink. The seven official courses and unofficial course were each so very unique yet delicious and a delight to the palate.

Yelp
Found this restaurant on the recommendation of a friend. Incredibly, the food tasted very much to my palate. Favorite thing about this restaurant is the ambience and service.

Vivian V.

Yelp
Located above the Spanish Steps this Michelin Star restaurant did not disappoint. Very creative food with a variety of tastes. The service was perfection. The enormous windows give a perfect view of Rome. I will return!

Josh L.

Yelp
While the service is top notch, the menu and flavors fall short. I would encourage this restaurant to keep pushing forward, but lower the price a bit because you don't leave feeling that you left a 800 Euro meal.

Yelp
Once in a life time experience. Unforgettable views. Great food and amazing service. What a treat! Loved it and highly recommend it.

Yelp
Exceptional from start to finish. Nothing less than perfect. Food, service and ambience were a dream.

Yelp
The view from this restaurant is amazing. We were there before sunset and got to enjoy a 7 course tasting menu each. I loved the fact they had a vegetarian tasting menu for me and another menu that matched for my husband. We were both impressed with the attentiveness of the wait staff, the presentation and flavours of the food and the atmosphere. The food was a good mix of traditional Italian flavours with Japanese and Indian flavours. It was excellent. Will be back when we are in Roma again! Thank you!

Yelp
This is a one star Michilin with the view of Rome near the Spanish Steps. We had the seafood tasting menu. Every single dish was amazing. Excellent service.

Yelp
This is one of the top three restaurants in the whole city when factoring in food quality, service and atmosphere with an incredible view. It has a Michelin star, and we tried one of their tasting menus, which is the way to go. The reason this restaurant is a standout is because it fuses and updates a bunch of different italian-inspired classics into interesting new dishes. It's not cheap and is deserving of a dress up type night out, but if you're looking for a top-notch option in the city this place tough to beat.

Yelp
This restaurant was a culinary experience that rivals the best restaurants in the world. It combines the artistic plating of Osteria Francescana with the warmth in service and taste of Eleven Madison Park, and the panoramic (180 degree) view of Rome from the top of the Spanish Steps makes it worth it in and of itself. The tasting menu is definitely the way to go--I think the 8 course is sufficient. The staff was friendly and extremely accommodating with switching out certain dishes in the tasting menu due to allergies. The sweet bufala mozzarella and beet granita (the dessert course of the 8 course tasting) was sublime.

Yelp
Sitting atop the Hassler hotel at the top of the Spanish Steps, the Michelin one star Imago boast some of the most stunning view of Rome and Vatican City with food to match. A warm greeting by the doorman. The lobby attendant directs you to the lifts. The lift doors open, a friendly greeting by the jacket clad matre 'd, assistant, and head waiter. Offers made to store your coats then whisked through the elegant dining room with tasteful purple and blue LED accents on columns. This is not your parent's fine dining restaurant of yesteryear. The sparkling wine cart arrives. Opt for an Italian sparkling wine. The selection is excellent. Most are unavailable in the States. Their quality surpasses many of the top Champagne houses. Amuses arrive. Paper thin, potato crisps fried in olive oil, a trio of cod fish in crisp potato cigars accented by olives and lemon, a tempura soft boiled quail egg in a cream sauce of chervil and pine nuts. All intriguing flavors. All leave you yearning for more. Attention to detail is everywhere. The bread basket, with its dozen offerings is set over a candle, covered with a cloth to keep the bread warm. A side of burrata cheese ties the flavors together. Excellent. All this before the menus arrive. Multi degustation menus including a full vegetarian option is the best way to try the inspiried Roman cuisine that fuses the subtle flavors of Asia with the traditional. For example a scampi prawn carpaccio with pineapple reduction purple potato, baby radicchio. The cloyingly sweet scampi prawn is accented by the strong acidity of the pineapple. The characteristic seafood taste is tempered by the earthy potato and peppery radicchio. Not enough "fusion"? How about a ravioli filled with white bean pure in a bonito, chili, sumac broth accented with dark tapioca pearls and red radish sprouts. Spicy with a delicate herbaceous balance. Too much "fusion"? How about a simple risotto with tomato, anchovies, and intensely aromatic lemon peel. Maybe lamb? The eye of a boneless rack wrapped in the fat from the shoulder roasted mid rare with the perfect crispy, salty crust served in a red wine jus and a deep fried artichoke. The bitterness of the carciofo brings out the sweet gamy taste of the lamb beautifully. Finally deserts. A pre-desert of yogurt with strawberry pure and brittle crunch. An interpretation of a Snickers bar accented by the aroma of burnt peanuts (trust me, the smell makes your mouth water, just don't eat it, blech). Finished by petifores including a tiny moist banana cake and even smaller lemon meringue pie. Outstanding wine book heavily weighted to Italy. Ask for guidance. Tip: Although all the Super Tuscan and other greats of Italy are well represented, this is the chance to try the best, hardest to acquire wines of the Lazio DOC. Prices to quality, excellent. This meal for three including two bottles of wine €580. Advance booking required. Book by email. The online system does not allow you to book odd number of guest. All servers speak English. Jackets required.

Yelp
This was by far one of the best meals I've had in my entire life. Chef Andrea Antonini is extremely talented. If you want an unforgettable experience you HAVE to do the 6 or 8 prefixed course meal and let him make you what he wants. You won't regret it! Also, the wine selection by the glass is excellent, and the Barolo is off the charts.

Philip S.

Yelp
We don't decide something is excellent or amazing just because its pricey. From the time we sat down the wait staff was very attentive and immediately brought is some exotic treats (free) from the chef that were delicious. While we were torn between the a la carte menu items, we decided to give the chef free reign and ordered the 5 course dinner. While discussing the selections with our waiter, he catered to our preferences and altered the menu accordingly. Each course was delicious in its own right and who would have thought (we're from the US) that pigeon could taste so wonderful. The deserts were many little precious delicacies. They even brought out desert for our deserts. The wait staff was always and only there at the appropriate times and left us to enjoy a leisurely dinner in an idyllic setting, The price was commiserate with the overall experience. The hotel Hassler where Imago sits on the top floor, is a special location in itself, Make sure to walk around the first floor.

Yelp
Amazing meal. Wait staff was very attentive and interactive. We planned an a la carte 3 course meal, and an additional course for dessert, but were frequently surprised with 'extras' from the staff. The food, the service, and the view of the Rome skyline made for an unforgettable experience.

Yelp
Very good food and service. Decor was a bit dated and cheap looking. I expected more for the $700 tab for two people.

Yelp
My husband and I dined here to celebrate our last day in Rome. We started off with a glass of champagne and some bread as we enjoyed the view of the city while trying to figure out what to order. We both decided to order the signature dishes tasting menu and a bottle of wine. The miso seared mackerel with foie gras and the sake glazed cod were my favorites. The rest of the dishes were not that impressive. Although, I must say that the wine that our server helped us select was amazing. I must warn the ladies, if you're not that hungry, don't order the tasting menu. I feel like I wasted so much food since I was already so full when the fourth dish was served. Overall, I'm not sure if I would go back to this restaurant. Some of the dishes tasted strange (deer saddle and cheese ravioli in tuna broth). I don't think it's worth the $800 tab

Yelp
One of the most opulent settings in which I've ever dined, with breathtaking views of the Eternal City. Also, the service here is better than any I can recall. The waiters look they were recruited from the ranks of a military academy. And they wore tail coats, for heaven's sake! As superb as all this was, the food was just as magnificent. We were offered salmon-wrapped ricotta and a trio of amuse-bouches to begin, followed by a crudo of john dory. I had fried stuffed scallops, which weren't as wonderful as the other dishes we had but still very good. Next came a fusilloni carbonara with quail ragu and quail eggs, quite possibly the most deliciously decadent pasta dish I've ever eaten in my 37 years on this earth. Wakako U. had a filet steak with curry shrimp, the latter of which she didn't enjoy but I liked just fine. I had breaded mackerel over what I believe were pureed fava beans. After that heavenly pasta, how could it measure up? We washed all of this deliciousness down with an '07 Trappolini Paterno Sangiovese. This culinary adventure set us back a cool 281 euros ($387), and that's without tip, but it was well worth it! Oh, and in case it matters to you, they've got a Michelin star. In summary: Perfect view. Perfect service. Excellent food (with perfect carbonara!). Perfect wine. Go. Now.

Yelp
In Roma for a single evening and after a bit of research... we kept falling on Imago. The concierge assisted us in grabbing a last minute table for 3. This particular group has experienced some amazing food over the last few years and Imago proved to be another memorable experience. Recommendation: - ask for a table by the window (one of the top views in the city) - do the chef's signature menu | they make the choice... - sunset would be spectacular The Experience: - service | exceptional - wine list | exceptional - food | exceptional Favorites: - Foie gras e sgombro strinato al miso rosso - Cappellotti di parmigiano in brodo freddo di tonno, doppio malto e 7spezie - Capesante impanate e ripiene di mozzarella di bufala, foglie di sedano e tartufo nero Enjoy.

Yelp
Oh yes it is! It is that good. Aside from the must wear jacket at all times policy this place is exceptional. Too many courses to remember, I tasted everything and loved it. Perfect service, perfect portion sizes and highly creative presentations. Bring your big boy wallet though, you're gonna need it.

Yelp
We were greeted in by the doorman at the Hassler Hotel, who gladly took our shopping bags and lead us to the lift. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were greeted by the hostess, who took our bags and the matre'd who gladly took our coats. The restaurant was nice, but the view was breath taking! We were sat at the best table in the house, right along the window over-looking all of Rome! The menu was quite extensive and everything sounded delicious. We opted for the tasting menu. Each course was a delight, the flavours melded beautifully! We drank and ate for hours, the pace between course was perfect. The service was impeccable, attentive, but not overbearing. It was definitely a great way to finish our tour of Rome. I would highly recommend this restaurant for the full experience when in Rome!

Yelp
By far, my FAVORITE restaurant in Rome. Went here on our last night in the Rome after a day of shopping. It was the most perfect way to end our stay in Rome. The view was absolutely breathtaking (get a birds-eye view of the ruins all light up at night!) and the service was as good as it gets. The food (need I say) was spot on! I look forward to my next trip to Rome so that I can dine here again. :)

Yelp
Lovely x 5 stars. I normally don't eat duck because it's slight too gamey for me but this one was beautiful. Attentive staff, great wine parings, prompt service, amazing food, amazing views, 5 star all the way!

Yelp
Exquisite, charming and delicious. The food was good, too! The view is unmatched and the whole experience was unforgettable. From the moment we arrived until the sunset, we had a seamless and enjoyable evening. Don't forget to try The Moon!

Yelp
Imago provided attentive but often incompetent and chaotic service paired with food that ranged from sublime to incompetent. We had planned our anniversary supper at Rome's highly respected Imago months ahead of time, seeking and obtaining assurance in advance, both by telephone and email, that the restaurant would be able to accommodate my gluten free diet within one of their tasting menus. We were eagerly anticipating sharing a delightful meal as we have shared 45 wonderful years together. The trouble started immediately when we were brought starters to share. At least one of the starters appeared to breaded, so I called the waiter back to confirm that they were safe for me to eat. They weren't. After some time, the kitchen produced two unremarkable pieces of limp purple cauliflower with a palid dressing to replace the three different starters my wife enjoyed. We then learned that in fact the kitchen could or would not produce a gluten free tasting menu. To compound the situation, the server brought my wife, instead of me, the menu with the prices listed. We then saw a number of intriguing plates being delivered to all the tables but ours. These were complimentary amuse bouches being served to everyone, except us. The waiter explained that they were not delivered to our table, not even to my wife, because they were not gluten free and there was no substitutes provided us. The service bordered on the American chain restaurant "my name is John and I am your server this evening"in that our conversation was constantly interrupted by staff asking us how the most recent course was, usually by more than one staff. Worse, we were frequently asked the same service question more than once by different staff even though we had answered the first time. From front to back, communication and coordination among staff appeared non-existent. Servers were also unaware of what were in the dishes, or demonstrated basic food errors as I will show when discussing the food To add insult to injury, staff, including the manager continued to deny that any of their errors actually occurred. For example, they claimed that I was told that I could not eat the initial appetizers when they were delivered. This was definitely not true Their signature dishes were a mixed experience. My clay baked gilt head bream was sublime, truly unique, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The waiter mistakenly described the gilt head as a type of sea bass, which it definitely is not. The Risotto with Cacia cheese, pepper and sesame was a play on a traditional Roman pasta. The waiter described the seasoning as including black and white sesame and several different peppers, a twist on the traditional preparation. The description reminded me of Japanese Shichimi Taragashi. The resulting risotto although acceptable, had none of the variety of the Japanese seasoning, tasting overwhelmingly of black pepper and salt, excessive salt by any standard. A special white truffle menu included a very good dish comprising a sous vide egg, a lovely espuma and a macedoine of vegetable and pork. My wife had the "water pasta", a soup of seafood and noodles meant to be a fusion of Italian cooking and udon soup. The insipid dish had well overcooked noodles and a virtually inedible shellfish that the waiter could not identity other than as "something from the sea"(I believe that it may have been a variety of whelk). He said that the restaurant gets a seafood mixture and that they were not sure what was in it. The waiter neglected to bring a spoon, leaving her the challenge of eating soup with a fork. When we received the bill, no adjustment had been made for the missing amuse bouches, nor for the water pasta dish my wife did not eat. This is the first restaurant I have ever eaten at where the manager did not offer an accommodation in price. As we left the manager did offer us gratis an elegant box containing a few bottles of the chef's special seasonings, which they normally sell to the restaurant's patrons at the end of the meal. We demurred. It was at that point I understood what Imago actually was - an elegant tourist trap. https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g187791-d1061460-r623538576-Imago-Rome_Province_of_Rome_Lazio.html#

Yelp
Worth the hype. Be smart... go for lunch when you can actually see the incredible view of the city, complete will all 7 hills. Wine list is lovely, prices are steep but nothing is spared. Save up and go for it.

Matthew G.

Yelp
I ate here with my girlfriend this summer in July. We had the tasting menu. The food, service, ambience and view were all outstanding. I have heard that this restaurant gets disappointing reviews because it is not traditional Italian. It isn't traditional but the food is amazing with a flavor profile that clearly reflects a very clever chef. If you eat here and don't love it, then you should check your pulse because you may be dead. One of the best meals we have ever had...Italy or not.

Lester B.

Yelp
Wonderful food, excellent service and amazing views. I had the 12 course signature dinner with wine pairing and was very pleased with the quality of the food. The wine left a little to be desired, but the service was superb. I thought the price was a little high for the quality of the food, but not by a large margin. My date had the veterinarian menu with wine and the total was somewhere around $550.

Jennifer M.

Yelp
We had dinner here a couple of years ago and is one my favorite places..although uber expensive, well worth it. The service was impeccable, the view was gorgeous. The food was amazing. Definitely different. The desserts were perfection. I don't remember what I had but it had white chocolate passion fruit, crumble and some sort of balsamic reduction that had me kicking the small container. Ever since then, I have been obsessed with passion fruit. It's definitely a must try when you're in Rome and a foodie. Be prepared to spend at least $400 -$500 for a group of 3. For me...it was worth it. Unforgettable experience.

Yelp
Dinner was fine, thus the 3 stars. I am giving an honest review because I think it is important to know for people who are considering going. Of course the view is stupendous. The restaurant is itself also, lovely. The food, unfortunately, not the best we have had in Rome over many trips to the city. We all left and said it was overrated and the service was not up to par for the price. They were either short staffed or just decided they could treat our table second fiddle. The waiters always seemed hurried and continually reached across my face to place things (forks, pour drinks) down which is not acceptable. I could have bit his arm. ;) I understand formal and professional, this was a similar attempt but lacking certain serving etiquette and exceptional ism that, for $250 per person, you should receive. Our dinner for 6 was extremely expensive, and long! We were prepared for expensive but not 3 hours! (Not even having dessert!) We had high expectations for the food. The food itself: scallops bland, tuna carpaccio very good, mozzarella with pomodoro soup good, black cod slimy and too salty, lobster risotto, eh, fine. Duck was well received but not the best we have ever had. Overall left feeling dinner was only okay and as such, regretted going. On our walk back to our hotel, I kept seeing all these great charming places and thought I wish we had just gone there. Oh well, live and learn, and we will cherish the view and time we spent together. If a friend asked me my honest opinion, I would say pass on it.

Manka V.

Yelp
I am sorry to give this a two star but I think it is important for me to do so especially in light of its expense and the fact that everyone else raves about this restaurant. I think that this restaurant is probably for those people who are used to eating at extremely expensive restaurants because I have tasted so much other better food both in Rome and all over the world. One of the things that gets rated well in this place is the Italian fusion but there are many countries that have fusion food and I don't think this place does it well. The service was excellent as was the view but the food was bland and not subtle at all. We ordered the tasting menu and could not believe how unappetizing the food was.

Yelp
A beautiful room but disappointing and unreasonably expensive meal. It was trying to do an Asia-Italian fusion thing, but it didn't work. Wine list was extensive and expensive. I had crab claw risotto as an appetizer which as ok, Linda had rabbit pasta pursues that were just strange tasting. For mains I had a very small piece of filet and she had fish. Both were just ok given the price. I would give this a miss unless you are soley there for the view.
