Inspector's Take: Rome's One Michelin Star Imàgo

"Reached via the Spanish Steps and an elevator to a terrace with a breathtaking panorama, this rooftop dining room glows behind glass walls that frame a view with few equals: to the right, the belltowers of Trinità dei Monti are a stunning sight seen so close at hand, and to the left a sweep of Rome’s most emblematic monuments appears, making it feel as though I’m circling over the rooftops like a seagull. On my first visit here with this chef at the helm, I chose the second option on the tasting menu; with everything already decided, ordering was swift, I left the wine to the sommelier’s recommendations, and then immersed myself in the gastronomic spectacle that followed.
