Imperial by Alexander Herrmann & Michi Seitz

Lovely place for a fine-dining experience! Food was great, service was lovely (although not all staff were able to introduce the dishes in English, but we had no problem figuring everything out together) and the atmosphere was cool! One thing we missed was a proper welcome: when we arrived (Saturday, 7pm) there was no one at the door to greet us. Minor point, but if you want to step up the hosting experience, that'd be a way to do it :)

Perfect from start to finish. Every dish was full of flavour, cooked amazingly and well presented. Even the bread was delicious. The wine was also perfectly paired. Our main server Elke was fantastic, explaining every dish and wine in detail and was super attentive and friendly throughout. The atmosphere of the restaurant was relaxed, minimal and chic which added to the overall experience. Definitely recommend.

Imperial stands out as an oasis in the culinary desert that is Nuremberg. After a week of avoiding pretzels, schnitzel, bland Indian food, something called tapas, and Italian out of the box food, Imperial was a cascade of fresh and invigorating sensory delight. I selected the five course meal which paired perfectly with a Riesling, Ruinart champagne, and an Austrian blend. I will be back, just not soon enough.

Great atmosphere and welcoming and personal service. The quality of the meat outstanding. Some interesting flavor combinations. A bit too much from the mayonnaise option in my opinion. Yeah it is well over my usual budget for my restaurant treat but for a special occasion we left with a very good impression.

This was a wonderful experience. The restaurant ambiance was amazing and felt so well loved. And that love rubs off on the wonderful staff, one of the best service models I have ever received, WELL DONE. The food was average, I expected something to blow my taste buds away which was not the case. You could see the passion the kitchen team had put into the preparation which shows in the pictures, just missed the WOW

Absolutely the best restaurant in Nürnberg. The first impression was a personal greeting from the owner of the restaurant the famous in Germany a celebrity chef Alexander Herrmann. Excellent interior design. Open kitchen. Very professional and friendly staff. Great service. Cozy and romantic atmosphere. The food was delicious. Big choice of wines, spirits and soft drinks.My recommendation is to try the "Glamour Mood" menu option. Absolutely unforgettable experience. Spent a great time in this restaurant. Highly recommended to visit.

Great experience , service a bit slow between th courses for such level of restaurant

Unfortunately I am forced to leave a negative review for this well-known restaurant carrying a superb reputation. The reason of this low review is the communication gaps with the customers (me) and inaccurate reservation management. After hearing several good recommendations, I was happy to book a table for a special celebration, which I tried doing 8-days in advance knowing this is a quite busy restaurant. I first tried to make the reservation online, but this was not possible as the restaurant cannot process reservations for 6+ guests online, in such cases this has to be done via phone as instructed in the restaurant´s website itself. Therefore I called to book a table for 10 guests for dinner on Sat. 12/02. I was told there was only room for us that day at 20:30, which was not the time I originally desired but I gladly took as I was very keen to try the restaurant for the very first time. The gentlemen that took my call was clear that we would get a table at 20:30 but not earlier due to another prior large group, which I agreed with. I also offered a down payment with my credit card to secure the table, but this was not accepted nor necessary according to the reservation manager. The reservation was confirmed verbally over the phone, without any further written confirmation. When the day came, we showed up and our reservation was not registered in their books, which was quite a blow for us. After trying to clarify what was the reason of this, we could not get a solid argument, only that it was not possible anymore to honor the reservation. Apparently the group before us stayed longer than expected. Mistakes happen, but I would have expected a different customer service for such a distinguished restaurant. The manager ultimately arranged a table in the first floor were also good dishes and drinks are served, however this was not what we originally planned. Imperial: Please work on you reservation management for larger party groups, we still had a nice night and the waiters tried to make it up, but we were dissapointed not to be able to try your best food in a special occasion. No compensation or else was offered before and when receiving the bill.
