Google
So this is what you get for $20.... it tasted burnt and like a dirty wok. The food was genuinely inedible, and I had to send it back. There are so many better options in the area. Do not waste your time here.

Why

Google
You know the black stuff you scrape off of the oven when you're trying to clean it? That's what my noodles tasted like, the smell of that and I just couldn't do it. But the staff was super friendly and the place looked very clean. The other people seemed to be enjoying what they got but the noodles I got just weren't it unfortunately. The spring rolls were hot fresh a delicious! On the pricier side 20$ for a small plate of noodles btw.

Google
The food was not good. My food tasted like it was cooked in an oil pan that has never been cleaned out. The shrimp was way more ver cooked.

Google
It's really bad. If you lo e salt, an unbelievable amount of salt. This is the place for you. It's possibly the worst Chinese food in Sioux Falls.

Lynnette Steele

Google
Absolute waste of $60. No online menu, no take home menu. Food was gross. Mongolian beef was like hot beef sandwich over rice - brown gravy? Gross!!! Don’t waste your money.

If you like good quality Chinese food this is the only place in town! The waitress is absolutely delightful (Jasmin). The egg drop soup is the best I have ever had! Their spring rolls are amazing!

Google
This place is so underrated! Their food is great! You guys need to come here and show them some love family owned and great people gotta definitely try the wonton soup!

Google
Great food, as always, love coming here when visiting Sioux Falls. The orange chicken is amazing, and the pork fried rice. Egg drop soup! Reasonably priced. The interior is a bit depressing but who cares.

Yelp
We have been dining at Imperial Garden for 10 years. The food is delicious and all homemade. Soups are homemade, not from a can like some restaurants. The price is very reasonable too.

Yelp
Imperial Garden was excellent, the service was prompt. The food had great taste and tastes fresh. They have a decent ambiance could use updating but overall definitely worth the price and calories.

Yelp

Yelp
Below expectations for a ordinary Chinese restaurant. I was hungry and was on this side of town. I gave this restaurant a try and I will go somewhere else next time. Food did come out quick.

Yelp
Their portion sizes are a joke don't expect to be full at all and they barely give any meat in your dish and then charge a good amount on top of that they are only open for 3 hours and then they close during lunch and reopen at 4... like bruh this place is wack

Yelp
--- COVID-19 Times review --- The location: Off the beaten track, out by the airport. We kept driving and driving and I thought we'd made a wrong turn. Then we stumbled on Imperial Garden right where it's supposed to be in a strip mall. The food: It's been a little while since I had it, but I had no complaints. For an advance order we brought back to Brookings, everything was still piping hot. The vegetable fried rice was delectable. The spring rolls were SO crispy. I was surprised and delighted by the amount of vegetarian options when so many options are just "steamed broccoli" in other places. The service: Hubsy went in to pick up the food and he said it was clearly a family establishment, and someone's mom wanted to make sure we had enough rice. They were so kind and made sure we were taken care of. Next time: I'll have to get more adventurous. There were a bunch of options that looked delicious, and before I go anywhere else, I want to try them all. I will absolutely be coming back.

Yelp
In my opinion this is best Chinese restaurant in Sioux Falls. The food is great along with the service. We have not found anything that comes close.

Yelp
The Beef fried rice seemed to be grilled, and was very dry also there was hardly any egg in the fried rice, My son ordered the corn dog and fries and instead of getting a corndog and fries he got 4 corn dog bites that were over cooked and a small handful of fries.

Yelp
Was looking for a good place for takeaway Chinese since moving here and finally found one! Food was still hot when we got it home. Nicely spiced General Tso. Will be back!

Yelp
New posted hours to close at 8pm. Arrived at 7:34 to, "oh we stopped serving the lobby since we close at 8 but you could probably get some food to go!" Lazy, lazy servers that shouldn't be in the service industry! If this is how ownership wants to conduct business then there are plenty of other restaurants that actually want business in Sioux Falls.

Yelp
My favorite Chinese restaurant in town! Visit at least once a week! Definitely would recommend!!

Yelp
I am all about supporting small local businesses, but I will not support this one in the future and nor will anyone with me on the day of our most recent visit... in fact no one I know will be going in the future. We love Chinese food, well we just love Asian cuisine in particular. We have been to this establishment in the past, service has never been top notch (slow, non social waitress, but reasonable prices for reasonable food. On a recent visit we order a few different dishes, all which we are very familiar with.....when the dishes were delivered two were in a VERY thick molasses like sauce that was also sweet. Despite the dishes being completely different they even tasted similar. This is not what we have experienced in the past. So, we asked the waitress if the recipe changed or there was a new cook. All which she denied. We told her the dishes were not edible and asked if we could replace with alternate dishes. The owner of the restaurant greeted us thereafter and in an unfriendly tone immediately informed us it's the same recipe for over 20 years and no one else complains. She also refused to offer us alternative dishes and demanded we pay for all of what we ordered. We stated we are leaving hungry yet we are supposed to pay for food that is not edible? Never have we received service like this before. I attempted to be stern about the poor service yet the owner did not care one bit. We eventually paid because we couldn't believe the terrible service and arguing with someone who really didn't care that their clientele was not happy. I was not expecting leaps and bounds of generousness, but if I were an owner of such establishment I'd be accommodating to make my customers happy. That's what keeps repeat business and poor reviews like this one. Also, if you have ever taken a business class, you should never argue with your customers.

Yelp
Best Chinese food I've had in a while. Love love the food but the service is horrible. Had the same gentleman server 3 times now and it's the worst service I've had anywhere. This last time there was only tables including us. Took awhile to get him to even see we where there. Never came to check on us at all. Took 23 minutes to get a drink refill. He never talked after taking our order. Never asked how our meal is after finally filling up our drink. Just bad service. But the food is the best.

Yelp
The food and service is always great. Good sized portions at a reasonable price. The staff are also always prompt with bringing drinks and taking orders.

Yelp
The food is delicious, so there must be a great cook. Some people got really good service. Our waitress found time to check on everyone after delivering their food, clear their plates, and take their money--all with a smile. We managed to get her attention twice after she brought our food--once to get more napkins, and once to ask for a box and the check. She didn't bring any of it. We asked another waitress for these items and she brought the napkins, the take-home box, and the check as well as water refills. It's not hard to tell when you're being ignored and we never figured out why. Next time we'll go where our business is wanted.

Yelp
Best Chinese food in Sioux Falls!!! We tried a half dozen dishes and passed around the table family style. All of them were delicious!

Yelp
This is my favorite place to get Chinese food. Whether ordering on the phone or in the restaurant, the service is always quick and delicious. The employees here are always friendly and the food is always tasty. It's my favorite food to have leftover too! I would absolutely recommend giving this place a try; it's worth it!

Yelp
This is a quaint little strip mall venue on the east side of Sioux Falls. Although not cheap, as noted in earlier reviews, but neither are they expensive. The portions can be small, depending on what you order. The Egg Foo Yong dishes are plentiful and very tasty. I've seen the place very busy, but most weeknights are slow, no worries about waiting! I've never had bad service or, tried carryout. This trip my son and I had the sweet sour pork, egg Foo Yong and an appetizer and spent 30.00 that included a 15% tip. No alcohol, just water to drink. Worth a try!!

Yelp
The overall experience was very good. Showed up with the whole family and had dinner. The waitress was fast getting out drinks and food. The place was pretty clean and orderly. I ordered the Kung pow shrimp, egg drop soup, and fried rice. My wife had sesame chicken, and the kiddos had shrimp. The Kung pow was ok, not bad or good. I am searching for a place with perfect Kung pow and this was not it. The egg rolls were good and so was the soup. My wife's sesame chicken was very good. First time eating here and we will be back again.

Yelp
The food is very good & the staff is very courteous & friendly. My husband & I each got an egg roll & split an order of crab Rangoon. Both were hot, fresh & delicious. We split an order of sesame chicken, which was very tasty. We thought the prices we quite reasonable & we got plenty to eat. Will come again.

James Y.

Yelp
I ordered General Tso's chicken, crab rangoon, and shrimp with garlic sauce. The general tso's was the worst I have ever had. It didn't taste like general tso's at all. The shrimp with garlic sauce was tasty, but it was more like soup than and entree. The crab rangoon had no crab what so ever in it, it was just cream cheese inside wrappers. The portions were not worth the money. The containers weren't even full.

Yelp
Found this through Yelp. Located in strip mall. Walked in and was greeted promptly. My order was taken and soup and egg roll came out freshly cooked. Both were great. I saw the lunch menu and what a good bargain. I don't feel my dinner was expensive. Overall I would come back!

Yelp
Old gray, microwaved chicken. When I called to complain the insisted that it was fresh. After a few minutes of struggling with this restaurant; I said: "okay, I understand, I will leave an appropriate review". The girl on the phone replied with "Good leave a review, we don't give a shit about your reviews". How can a restaurant server food if they don't care about what their clients think?

Yelp
I give this place 1 star only because of the good service... portions were very small, prices were a little high (2 people $40 w/tip) & the food was terrible!! I ordered my "go to" Generals Chicken!! Yuk!! It was over cooked, so basically little chunks of deep fried batter....and was nothing like what I expected. Their "fried rice" was basically steamed rice with no flavor at all! The funny thing is, we chose this based on "good reviews" lol. This is my first ever, Yelp Review & I'm writing it from my toilet!! No joke.... Been here all night and day! Plus I got sick on way home. (We live 2 hours away)!! I feel bad writing this review but I figured it might help someone, someday!

Yelp
This is by far my favorite Chinese restaurant , always great food, fast, friendly, clean. If you haven't been there you are missing out.

Yelp
Yum! Went for dinner last night. The food was very good and tasty. We had the crab rangoon, beef lo mien, and braised fish. Came out of the kitchen piping hot. The service was very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be coming back for seconds!!

Yelp
Had supper [yes, I know, midwest term] at Imperial Garden Sunday evening. My choice, was Pineapple Duck. Excellent!

Rick D.

Yelp
The Imperial Garden Chinese Restaurant was welcoming. The restaurant was clean. I ordered hot and sour soup and Mongolian Beef. The soup was good enough to order a second cup. The Mongolian Beef was good but the serving was tad bit small but well worth the price. Overall if you are near the 5000 block of E. Arrowhead Parkway in Sioux Falls, South Dakota do stop in for a good meal.

Yelp
There is no question wether or not that have have good customer service; they treat you like royalty right when enter the room. Besides just the excellent service comes the food. Omg people, try it for yourself or take my word for it, but I promise you will not be disappointed.
