The combination of a historic Engadin house and modern wooden structures is not only aesthetically pleasing but emotionally moving. You feel safe, inspired, and free all at once. The attention to detail is felt everywhere, from the scent of Swiss pine to the perfectly tuned lighting.||||Cuisine That Delights...||What we experienced culinary-wise was creative, deeply rooted in the region, and of the highest standard. We were especially impressed by the cozy Stüvetta. Every dish was a work of art, every flavor an experience.||||Rooms to Breathe In...||Our suite was a retreat full of warmth and style. Spacious, with views of nature, furnished with high-quality materials and thoughtful details. The natural stone bathroom and wooden paneling particularly impressed us, everything was just right.||||Hosts with Heart...||The Cadonau family and their team embody true hospitality. You can feel that passionate people work here. Every wish was fulfilled, often before we even voiced it. It wasn’t just service; it was genuine care.||||Conclusion: A Place You Don’t Forget...||The IN LAIN Hotel Cadonau is not an ordinary hotel. It’s a place that inspires, touches, and stays with you. We weren’t just impressed, we’re grateful for the experience. One thing is certain: we’ll be back.||

This is one of those hotels where you think: “geez, we should have stayed just a little longer”. This is a true (and how there should be more) Relais and Chateaux. Was it the town? Well, yes the view was wow! Or was it the food? Yes, it was great! Or was it the facilities? The room was impecable in every way…impecable!!! But why was it ssoooo special? The service but it was more than the service, it was the people who were just amazing! It made us wish to be part of their family. It reminded us why we love RnC and why we always seek for this type of service. In Lain is a family owned business and I pray they keep it up because this is a place to return, a place hard to forget!

The hotel is almost hidden out of sight and it is clear it was designed with the utmost respect for the nature that surrounds it. Most rooms get a spectacular view of the opposing mountains, with the terrace providing an idyllic setting to relax with the hum of Inn in the distance. Natural wood dominates the interior. Rooms have all the amenities you would need, are of good size and kept spotless. Staff is exceptionally kind. The breakfast offerings were absolutely delicious and varied. Overall, a brilliant place for a weekend getaway.

The food was completely over salted. We informed the waitress and particularly pointed out that the fish dish was inedible. Upon receiving the bill, we assumed that the price of the fish would not to be included - a normal customer service standard in a 5 star restaurant - yet we were were lectured that the plate reached the kitchen “empty”, insinuating that we liked the salty fish, given it was as all eaten up. The waitress arrogantly omitted to remember that there were only 3 small fish pieces served, and that 3 family members tried the pieces to make sure none were exaggerating on the salty opinion. We have been to the restaurant many times before and were shocked by the little trust and respect shown this time around. Should the restaurant not be thankful for loyal clients who give them honest feedback? SF 900+ later, we left disappointed with their lack of sophistication in customer service and finesse in handling a cook’s ’mistake’. Good clients will tell the truth and expect respect above all else, a fact that was completely neglected this time around. Too disappointed to ever go back there. Their arrogance has elevated to a point where their belief in their excellence has overshadowed the reality of their dish served. Maybe the cook should try the food before serving it. Very sorry, but the truth has to be told.

I asked my husband to take me somewhere in the Alpine mountains for my birthday, and he chose the INLAIN Hotel, I was the happiest person on earth. This hotel is an absolute gem. From the very beginning to the end of our stay, we were treated exceptionally well. INLAIN is a perfect example of what it means to put the guest first.One of the highlights was my birthday breakfast on the terrace, complete with an exceptional cake. The spa area is another standout, relaxing in the sauna while looking out at the trees was an unforgettable experience. The only small detail was the absence of the hair conditioner, which is really a detail.

I rarely write reviews, but this hotel is the epitome of warmth, service, and charm and deserves praise. From the minute we walked in the door and Jonas greeted us and checked us in, we felt at home. This is a family run establishment and everyone plays a magic part. One of the brothers does all of the woodworking that makes each room glow with warmth and meticulous attention to detail. He also takes the majestic photographs that hang throughout the hotel. Chef Dario exceeds all expectations with beautifully plated and uniquely delicious offerings in all three of the restaurants. From breakfast to dinner, no special touch is overlooked. We particularly enjoyed our tasting menu at the Restaurant Vivanda. Alex, our server and the sommelier took particular care in explaining each course and the reasons for each of his wine pairings. They were all spot on - and the cheese course where we got to each choose our own cheeses was something I have never experienced. The location is breathtakingly beautiful - rooms look out over nearby mountains and cowbells chime nearby. It should be noted that though our group speaks Chinese, French, Japanese, and a smattering of other languages, none of us speak German or their native Romansh. We were very much the odd ducks at this hotel, but they went out of their way to speak English and assist us in any way necessary. As with everything else, it was all above and beyond! And finally, upon our arrival home, we received a lovely thank you note from the owner Tamara. A thank you note from a hotel - handwritten! That I have never received. I want to thank them for the cherished memories we created while in their care.

Very elegant unique and warm hotel with great view over the mountains and family warm service with great food

Was very good, we came here in winter 2022 and it was very very cold, I would advise bringing thick winter kits if you would like to leave your room and explore the snowy heaven outside, during night time, you could see the entire Milky Way galaxy and andromeda was also visible, very good place for astronomy lovers. It is like a completely different planet during the night time, the staff were very kind people too who welcomed us. ||This place has a beautiful view, the restaurant here had a view of the mountains. It feels amazing being here, a town you should visit when leaving the hotel is Saint Moritz, we went there many times and loved it.
