Love this place. In the past it was a reservation only restaurant but now it is available for walk ins. The food is so delicious and balanced. Many Korean restaurants have very delicious but strong flavors and you can feel the salt and extra in your body. There is a time and place for that food. This food tastes and feels like grandma’s cooking. Very soothing and easy to eat yet so yummy! The atmosphere, food, friendly service, and the plates created an inviting nostalgic meal for me and my family. So happy this place exists. I recommend the mushroom soup, dumpling appetizers, marinated meet dish, and the tofu and tuna dish

The food is good, it feels rejuvenating but not filling. Don’t expect to be full from any dishes. Everything tastes fresh. I had the jjol udong, which came with a side of kimchi and radish that was perfection. The jjol udong broth is a bit reminiscent of miso. One of the ingredients is beef, but there is not a lot of it. Ground up little bits instead of cuts of it. The staff working there are all very kind and welcoming. I very much appreciated that!

Incheon is such a great restaurant to go to with your family or even something work related. They have a vast diverse menu selection with different meals for different cultures. The staff are also really nice and friendly when you are asking questions about the dish or things like that. I love going to Incheon with my family especially on holidays because it makes the experience so much better.

The fancy korean restaurant was good. I found out the amount of food was less and the price was over. But the quality of the food was nice.

This newly opened Korean restaurant offers a few unique dishes that you typically can only find in Korea. We loved how the dishes were prepared and served, showcasing an authentic Korean taste. The portions were adequate, and we enjoyed reasonably priced four different dishes along with a bottle of soju and makgeolli.

I was about to eat at To Sok Jip across the street, but came here after seeing the profile menu thinking I’d try something by new. But the actual menu was kinda different. For example, I was expecting kimchi stew with mackerel pike, but the actual menu only showed it with pork. Kimchi stew was decent, but for the price, MUCH better off going to ToSok Jip, IMO.

Incheon Restaurant feels like a homey place where an inspired chef wants to share his creations with friends. The food can be described as a modern Korean fare, with many authentic flavors and very fresh ingredients. If you have low spice tolerance, be prepared, but it's not going to be overwhelming for most. Service was good but it was a little slow and felt slightly disorganized, although the waiters were very kind and made sure to attend to everyone. This place has a great atmosphere, the food is really good, and it's a place that's definitely worth a visit. It's not too popular, but it deserves a lot more attention for sure. Price is generally on the high end, but we still felt stuffed after spending about $32 a person before tax and tip.

I was part of a group of 6 to celebrate a birthday, so we wanted a special dinner. I greatly enjoyed this dining experience, definitely one of the best I've had, if not the best. The atmosphere was pleasant, the staff was attentive without being overbearing, and the tasting menu was so good. I admit that there were some food I wouldn't have tried on my own (like the octopus), everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. We were also surprised with oysters and beet tartare (never had that made with beet before), but also sparkling wine. Cutlery is replaced after each dish, which is a nice touch. An older review complained about the use of paper napkins, if that's something that would bother you, I can assure you that they use fabric ones now. I'd recommend Incheon to my friends and family!

Yelp
Very average food and overated IMO. Very turned off by bones in fish. Service was okay. Ambience is fine for small or medium sized groups. Many more better Korean restaurants and this will not be my first pick again

Yelp
KenScale: 7.5/10 Visit: January 2023 After we moved to the DC metro area a couple of years ago, my wife Jun and I have often visited Annandale in Virginia for weekend grocery shopping. Having done a Korean grocery shopping at a tiny H Mart store in Koreatown when we lived in Manhattan, Jun was pleasantly shocked to see gigantic Korean grocery stores in this town with a large Korean immigrant population. On the other hand, we struggled to find a go-to Korean restaurant in the area. Part of that has to do with Jun's awesome cooking at home, but also given our Korean heritage the bar we set for a Korean restaurant can be impossibly high at times. Could Incheon, which was featured in Washington Post's 2021 Fall Dining Guide, finally break the spell of mediocre Korean restaurants in Annandale? Our recent visit unfortunately left us wanting for more. We were hoping that the five-course tasting menu from the kitchen led by chef Justin Ahn (a relative bargain at $70 per person at the time of our visit) would show a nice combination of traditional and modern in our native cuisine. What we didn't expect was that the menu was geared a lot more toward pan-Asian than Korean. Yes, we grew up eating fried snacks, but the lamb croquette with mushroom and parmigiano was unmistakably Italian in its essence, even though it was actually quite delicious. While the second dish of green curry noodle with an assortment of seafood was also capably executed, it brought us memory of our college years when we first countered Thai food instead of our childhood when we would've had Korean noodle dishes such as kalgooksoo. Things started to go downhill from there. While Jun and I both love duck breast, we weren't sure it was the best match to the lettuce ssam where we would normally have pork or beef. The worst dish was the last savory course, a version of Hainanese chicken rice that didn't really have anything Korean in its plating or flavor. It was a very puzzling decision to put this on the menu at a Korean restaurant. The dessert of the night, a chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream, was solid on the other hand. The restaurant is open only three days a week from Thursday through Saturday, but it won't be terribly difficult to secure a reservation so long as you don't book at the last minute. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also somewhat strange; Jun thought this place might've originally been a Korean pub that got re-purposed into a restaurant. You can complement your meal with Korean-inspired cocktails or spirits, and there is a wine pairing too that was decent but not particularly memorable. Maybe we showed up on the wrong night but we sincerely wished Incheon showed us more in terms of what the kitchen do with Korean flavor and ingredients. It was certainly hard to characterize the restaurant, at least based on our visit, as a quintessential Korean restaurant. Our search for a favorite Korean restaurant in the DC area continues.

Yelp
My mom and I came here on December 28 2023 for a celebratory dinner in honor of her retirement. She's old school Korean, so I wasn't sure if she would like the "fusion" aspect of it, but she loved it and had been raving about the food to everyone. So it's got umma's approval! We had a reservation but we didn't actually need one; there were only one or two other tables that had customers. Not sure if it was just because it was an awkward holiday date between Xmas and New Year..? This place definitely deserves all the patronage. Decor was simple and elegant. Service was friendly and quick. I had mentioned in my reservation notes that it was for my mom's retirement, and they gave us two flutes of Prosecco on the house. I loved that the Bossam came with the perfect amount of wraps, including perilla leaves. The beet dip was sweet and savory and tasted so fresh. Noodles in the kimchi beef pasta were chewy and delicious (and for anyone who is spice-averse--it's not spicy at all!). The dessert was also perfectly sweet and nutty. I personally don't like coconut flavors (unless it's coconut curry, idk why) but the coconut played well with the other flavors! I'm going back again tonight with my mom on her suggestion--they've definitely got a new fan in her (and me!). Check their website for special event dinners, like Valentine's Day! I wish they had their menu on their website; that's the only thing I find lacking.

Yelp
My friend experienced Incheon's tasting menu and recommended it to me, so we made a reservation and came in on a weekday. The restaurant was completely empty, so I don't think it's necessary to make a reservation. They are not doing the tasting menu anymore, so you can order whatever you'd like to. It's tapas style with the plates being kind of small so make sure you order a lot! I thought the atmosphere was great and I love the vibe of a more upscale Korean restaurant. The food was pretty great and I loved the service. I'd definitely recommend coming back. - Kimchi Pasta: 5/5, my favorite - Octopus: 4/5, some parts were better than others... didn't seem too special or Korean - Leeks: 5/5, this was a unique dish that I loved - Mushrooms: 5/5, loved the mixture of mushrooms and ricotta - Pate: 3/5, I would not order this again. It was a cool thing to order but the taste wasn't anything special

Yelp
Food was very tasty, with generous portions. 5 stars. We had the cold soba noodles and the pork lettuce wraps. The pork filling was pretty sweet, and the sauce that came with it was flavorful but not too spicy. Service was attentive enough, 4 stars. Ambiance was quiet enough at lunchtime that we could have a long conversation and no trouble hearing each other. Prices were very reasonable for the portion sizes. Would definitely go back.

Yelp
Truly a hidden gem! I came here with a group of 3, and it's a slightly upscale restaurant that has a wonderfully curated small menu from Chef Justin Ahn. The menu draws inspiration from Korean classics and flavors but has its own twists. We tried almost everything on the menu and shared it family style! 5/5 Beets: This dish was essentially a beef tartare but with beets! Roasted beets are paired with pears, gochujang, and served with crispy wonton pieces. Besides the texture of beets not really being able to match the texture of beef, the flavors were otherwise spot on. 5/5 Shrimp Toast: The toast was perfectly fluffy with a garlicky/ herb flavor, and it was an amazing vessel for the shrimp. This was definitely my favorite dish of the night, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who comes to Incheon! 5/5 Bossam: The bossam was fantastic! My only wish is that they had ssamjang that didn't have walnuts in it since I have an allergy. 4/5 Steak: This was supposedly a koji-aged flat iron that was served with two different sauces. I thought this dish was good, but I would skip out on it for the next time. 5/5 Pasta: The pasta was kimchi and beef served with a cheese-like spread on the side. This was definitely an unexpected pairing of flavors, but it was amazing and worked really well altogether!

Yelp
Overall - Dined July 2024 for pre-fix ($75/person) dinner. - While the food is nicely prepared and service excellent for a hole-in-the-wall restaurant, it isn't worth the price tag. Food - All the dishes were very good and nice variety, but the portions overall were small, finishing the meal still hungry. - Most Asian restaurants are generally family-style, but this is a pre-fixed menu with no substitutions. Not worth going with a group any larger than 2 since you don't have the benefit of trying multiple different dishes. You are basically committed to the tapas selected for you. - No substitutions is a killer because even though they ask about dietary restrictions, they recommend just not eating the dishes that you can't eat. Service - Our waiter was very, very nice. Ambiance - This dining experience is confusing. Trying to be an upscale, pre-fixed menu in a hole-in-the-wall venue. - Maybe if you put the food and service in an upscale restaurant or keep the venue and have this be an a là carte menu or drop the price, it would have better value. - Would recommend either going to a true family-run, authentic Korean restaurant or a real fine-dining restaurant.

Yelp
Amazing food and flawless service from everyone we interacted with. The dining room is an intimate. Will definitely be bringing friends and family back here to share the experience.

Yelp
It pains me to write this since I rarely give reviews under 4 stars and like to give places a solid chance before I leave reviews, but my most recent visit left an unpleasant impression. I had heard about incheon for a while and been meaning to try it. It was my friends birthday and we decided to try this spot together. The food was good and the wait staff were beyond friendly and attentive. HOWEVER the thing that threw me off was the table sat in the front filled with staff. My friend and I Ubered dessert from cents taro since it looked like we weren't going to make it before closing and as it was her birthday, I wanted to make sure she got the dessert she wanted. So we spontaneously ordered it to be dropped off to us outside of the restaurant at a time we expected to be done by (30 mins after we received our last entree.) They were doing a tasting for a new potential dish so the dining experience lasted longer than we had expected. Around the time the check came, my Uber order also arrived and I had to leave quickly to accept it. As it was my friends birthday, I made sure to give her my card and needed to come back to sign for the meal. Without thinking, I quickly went back in. That's when I overheard a conversation from the table at the front about "customers bringing in outdoor food... if they open it they're out of here... customers aren't always right... restaurants have to be firm these days." As a paying customer that has been nothing but appreciative of the staff and the overall meal experience, that was the last thing I expected to overhear (and it was said in a volume where customers could easily overhear). It made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. We had absolutely no intention of opening any outdoor food for the matter. I had enjoyed my experience up to this moment, but as someone with parents who owned a restaurant, this felt extremely in appropriate and rude. Disappointing because I had high expectations. That comment ruined the night for my friend and I.

Yelp
Small, slightly upscale, Korean spot with only a few tables Have a tiny menu of unique American-Korean fusion options The people were very friendly There is only one portion size, but it is somewhere between an appetizer and an entree. I would probably eat 1.5-2, but they are all priced like entrees (~$20) This being said, the food was delicious

Yelp
Most of the food was amazing. Service was impeccable and super friendly and attentive. Highly recommend the perfectly cooked medium rare steak, with sat on a pile of delicious goguma with a spicy chimichurri sauce. The incheon burger was dripping with aioli and the meat and bread was soft and tender. The shrimp toast was unique with a Vietnamese twist (they definitely use fish sauce!) There were some dishes I could do without: the ribs were tender on a pile of vinegar cabbage. The red sauce flavor just didn't do it for me. The mushrooms were pretty good with the toasted bread and whipped feta cheese. It's unique but not my cup of tea. I appreciated it though! The Bossam was pretty expensive -- so while the radish was good and the meat quality was also good, it didn't feel worth the cost. Overall 4/5 as I will return to try other dishes! I enjoyed how unique the dishes were!

Yelp
Yumm!! This place is a hidden gem!! Looking for Korean food that's not your typical Korean food? Not Korean bbq or fried chicken. This is the place! Korean food inspired with twist! But not all the food was meant to be Korean flavored. It was like the chef was creating a Korean menu, and then was like, I like mushroom toast, and added that to the menu! I really enjoyed everything we had. Seems like they've come out with a new menu! Our server, Kevin was great! So kind proper and attentive. He made you feel like you were dining at a 5 star restaurant! We tried a bunch of different items! I failed and got too eager to eat and forgot to take pics of some foods. We also tried the potato chips, shrimp toast, ribs and steak. My favs was the shrimp toast, mushroom toast, ribs, and pasta! Shrimp toast reminded me of those dim sum crab/shrimp balls but on a toast. Not sure what about it, but it was pretty tasty! I love mushroom so this one was obvi a fav. Ribs was easy to eat off the bone, had a little spice to it. Pasta looked so simple but the flavor was really tasty! Who would've thought kimchi would be a tasty pasta! You could tell the food was made with love! Even the drinks were tasty. I enjoyed the milk punch. A plus were told that this makgeolli is the brand in the US that is licensed to make it. So they make it a point to go to Brooklyn to pick up a case! I would definitely come back! I want to try their bossam! Delicious all around!

Yelp
I was swayed to this place by social media. Everything in the video I saw looked amazing. My friend and I arrived just at opening time at 5pm, and had the whole place to ourselves for a little while. The decorations feel very clean, modern-looking and romantic (candles in wine bottles). Now for the food. We were thinking about the oysters but decided $9 for one was too expensive, so we decided to order the 3 big mains- pasta, steak, and bossam. When the pasta came out, it seemed a little small... we each got maybe 3 or 4 noodles? Loved the kimchi flavor though. Then the steak came out and I laughed as the waiter walked away, commenting to my friend on our mini steak - the bites seemed so small! The goguma puree however was an interesting sweet touch to the steak, and the gremolata added a nice spice. Finally, the bossam was not so mini- as there was plenty of lettuce and sesame leaves and the kimchi. Hands down the winner was the bossam. It had such good flavor, loved the 'sauce', kimchi, and garlic that came with it. Honestly, if you're looking for a fine-dining feel (big prices, small servings) with some fusion/nuevo flavors, this would be a cool place to go. If you're looking for your normal-sized servings and traditional Korean food, I would not recommend this place. Not sure if I would return- maybe if I had a rich date who wasn't too keen on traditional Korean fare.
google avatar

Yelp
Wow what a great experience! It's not traditional Korean food but it is a very interesting take on it. The flavors were all so bold and delicious! They have a small menu but it changes every few months I believe. The service was so wonderful throughout the evening and the decor was very nice. I really enjoyed the BoSsam and the octopus. The octopus was so tender and the most perfectly cooked piece I've ever had. I can't wait to come back here again!

Yelp
Food always great and service was awesome we really enjoyed Korean food and drinks. 10/10 Would highly.

Yelp
What a beautiful restaurant hidden in the heart of old school Annandale! Growing up there wasn't even a remote possibility of having an elevated Korean fusion restaurant... but here we are in 2023! I think there will be an entirely different experience for Korean Americans who grew up eating authentic Korean food and foodies who love venturing out to try the new fusion restaurants who offer elevated French and culinary techniques... I thought the food was beautifully designed and executed. It used the primary ingredients of Korean cuisine while adding textures and mixtures of other flavors not commonly found in Korean food. The food was beautiful to look at and a delight to eat. The shrimp toast was spectacular... it's warmth, subtle saltiness and sweetness! Perfect. The cook of the pork belly was perfect and the Sous Vide Octopus was to die for... so so tender! The Radish, Korean pear Ceviche was so refreshing and crisp... I would have loved it if it was served on top of a chilled soba or even naengmyun noodles. Perfect pairing! My least favorite... thought creative was the Daenjang (bean paste) soup with Burrata cheese... it just didn't come together well. The Korean sweet potato pie was perfect and the citrus whipped cream would have been perfect except it was too acidic... a more subtle little sweeter acidic whipped cream would have been perfect... but it was too sour. But the pie was AMAZING! It is conceptually beautiful and thoughtful and I can't wait for the next iteration... thankful for the chef's willingness to always push the culinary boundaries! Service is amazing and attentive! Come check it out!

Yelp
Is this place a secret?! It's amazing. The line should be out the door and round the corner. The food is so good and the location is fun and vibey. It makes a great location for a fun fancy night. It's not comforted korean but elevated fine dinning at good prices. Totally recommend going here. The chefs are incredibly talented. The food really unique. And the service is great. It's a must try. Yelp
What a fun and unique experience in the heart of Annandale. When one thinks of Annandale, VA.. Korean food comes to mind for sure. A set menu of upscale Korean fusion though? Not exactly. Came here the Friday before Memorial Day weekend and we had the restaurant to ourselves. I got the impression that perhaps they were not usually busy early on a weekday? But after talking to the staff they said they were busy previous weekends and that today was an anomaly. Menu is pretty straightforward, for $75 pp I believe there are options for a starter, main, desert and maybe one other course. Grilled bread with a gojujang spread as an appetizer. A single oyster on a bed of rocks with a frozen sorbet style topping, ox tongue, octopus, bossam, and a clear broth jamppong. Everything was so unique and interesting to both see and taste. Because there were two of us we were able to taste the whole menu by each ordering one of the options and sharing them between us. Menu changes as often as the chef feels like it needs to be changed. They were telling us that they had a plan to elongate the experience and create a bigger course menu but were not sure when it was going to be implemented. Staff is very open and accommodating. We got to hear some of the backstory to how certain dishes were created, why they choose to carry some foods and not carry others. The experimentation they have done over the last couple years and the plans for the future. I cant wait to come back and try their next menu. Great place to go for my birthday dinner
google avatar

Joey L.

Yelp
We did the dinner fixed menu. Everything was good in our opinion. You can do lunch a la carte.
google avatar

Stephanie D.

Yelp
You pretty much need to be adventurous to come here because there are no substitutions to the set menu. I am not sure how often the menu items change, but comparing menu photos from two weeks prior, only one item changed on the menu. I personally am not a big fan of seafood, so my husband ate most of my shrimp toast and the shared octopus dish. Other than the shrimp toast, everything is presented on one plate for sharing. There was one server and one bartender, but because there was only one other couple at the early hour of 5pm, service was quick and friendly. The food was paid for in advance when we booked the reservation. We ordered two delicious cocktails and the check was brought for these. We were out of the restaurant by 6:15pm. I thought the food was inventive and delicious and the flavors worked together on every dish. I loved the potato pie dessert!
google avatar

Paul B.

Yelp
We had the Beef & Mushroom Jeongol for two. Jeongol is a Korean-style hot pot. It was excellent and highly recommended. While the menu is limited, I'm told that they will soon be expanding it. I can't wait. This restaurant serves food common in the Incheon area of South Korea, which is near Seoul. Hence, the variety of foods is a little different from the other Korean restaurants and definitely worth trying.

Yelp
Went last night with my wife and just loved it. Food was superb as was the impeccable service! The plate descriptions provided by the sous chef were very welcome and accompanied the meal wonderfully! Do not miss, one of NoVa's hidden gems

Chi L.

Yelp
I can appreciate the experience they want to bring to community. Great concept, loved that it's suppose to be a culinary experience. Unfortunately, I felt like the food was good, nothing absolutely amazing. The one dish that did stand out for me was the Abalone Risotto, unique twist and good flavor, wished we all didn't just have two bites of it. The price is charge per person. Meaning, I would think that if you're a part of three, you'd receive the portion for three people, which would be whats expected. Instead throughout the whole meal, we looked at our portion, and portion that came out for a table of two, the exact same. You could say we were not pleased with that. We left hungry, and had to stop at another restaurant afterwards. Extremely disappointed by that and completely felt cheated paying for three people and getting portions that is served the same for two people.

Yelp
Incheon is a gem! Don't let the incognito appearance from the street fool you. Once you step inside, the ambiance shifts - be prepared to be transported! The prix fixe six-course menu is Korean inspired and creative with without being stuffy. Add in a few 'surprise' items from the chef and you'll leave satisfied in spirit and belly . Wine pairings were spot on and well priced. Make sure you try some of the special add-on items - on the night we went, the hot honey roasted carrots with peanut chili and whipped Greek yogurt were the hands down winner! Funny enough - we all enjoyed and commented on the '80's hits that accompanied the meal. Reservations recommended.

Cierra G.

Yelp
So many great things to say about Incheon! I had a solo date here last night and got to have the fine dining experience of the tasting menu. The pictures really don't do it justice. I should've taken them in portrait mode but I was more focused on eating lol. The flavor and presentation were AMAZING. The staff and chef were welcoming and made sure I was well attended to. The restaurant was also beautiful! I'll definitely be back again! Wish I could go back today!

Yelp
We went on a Thursday evening for dinner. Food was great. Service was very personable.

Yelp
This restaurant surprised us with the how they extended their lunch menu to dinner, it used to be tasting menu at night time. Delicious food for a reasonable price.
google avatar

Daniel B.

Yelp
We went here for dinner with some friends on a random Wednesday and had a great time! It wasn't very busy, which was nice. The restaurant is a bit small but very elegant. Sometimes, they have guest chef's or tasting menus, but this time, it was just a la cart. The server was very helpful in choosing some dishes, and they food was brought out dish by dish, which was great as we shared several plates. The food itself was quite delicious, each having a unique flavor, and I would get them all again. I loved the octopus personally, but the shrimp toast was also a big hit. The drink list is pretty good as well.

Yelp
Absolutely delightful meal! Came here for my early birthday dinner and I was awed by how delicious the food turned out to be! I have been to numerous one Michelin star restaurants in the district but none of them really satiate my tastebuds and deliver as well. The chef told us that he changes the menu on a sporadic basis and we will definitely be back again for other special occasions to try other items on the menu. This totaled to approximately $100+ including drinks and we were very satisfied.

Yelp

Yelp
Came to Incheon restaurant with a reservation for a party of four on a Tuesday evening. I was shocked it was quite empty when we got there for our 8 pm dinner reservation. The interior of this place is dimly lit but the atmosphere is very nice. Music is at a good volume so you can hear people talk. The plates and dishes were quite aesthetically pleasing to look at. The tasting menu consists of 6 dishes. I would consider it technically 5 bc number 3&4 comes out at the same time and there's two salads. I thought the first dish (green curry) with crispy rice noodles and rice cake with fish cake. The curry had a light spice to it and it was flavorful. The second dish was a lime dressed salad. I thought this dish was very sour and could have used more balance. The texture of the smoked dry aged salmon wasn't the greatest. The salad could have been less sour. The third and fourth was the steak and mashed sweet potatoes and salad. This was by far my favorite out of all the dishes so far. The steak was perfectly cooked. The mashed sweet potatoes were really amazing. The sweetness and creaminess was really good with the smooth texture. The fifth dish was ssam with duck meat. This is the most Korean dish out of all the dishes. The pickled radish and the fresh ssamjang was delicious. The radish had a really nice crunch to it and paired well with the duck and cabbage wrap. This was the most refreshing dish for me. The last dish was jukk (porridge) done risotto style. The mushrooms, seaweed and sesame oil along with scallions gave it a nice Korean savory memoir. The risotto was well cooked and absorbed the flavors of the ingredients well. It was a good enough ending to the meal. In my opinion, I wish there was one more dish to the tasting menu such as a dessert. It would have been a perfect ending to the tasting menu if there was something cool to wrap up after the warm porridge. I think this restaurant has a lot of potential to attract many people in the area and also from outside. It was on the pricier side for food in Annandale, but it is nice to see my town having a new fusion restaurant. I hope to come back another time and see how the menu change.

Yelp
I respect what is happening here. An unassumingly intimate experience like you're in a dinner club with the chef and his friends. I'll keep coming back if the menu stays this adventurous and fun!

Yelp
The missus brought me to this upscale, semi private dining experience in Annandale. Reservation and payment was made in advance, and I was greeted by a staff member who opened the door for me. Gotta say the restaurant itself looks pretty nice, with a modern ambiance and welcoming feel. The first dish, with the cured shrimp, may be the cause of my runs, and that's why I'm deducting 2 stars. If it weren't for whatever upset my stomach, which I suspect to be the shrimp, then this place would definitely get a 5 star rating from me. The second dish was a pretty cool Italian/Korean twist on udon. Very flavorful and one of my favorite part of dinner. Moving on to the fourth course (the third included two dishes as pictured in the attached), the pork belly ssam was awesome! So tender, packed with flavor, and the fat just melts in your mouth. Since I am on a diet, I skipped the dessert item. My wife seemed to enjoy it. All in all, a pretty good place to take a date to for a fancy meal. Just watch out for the cured shrimp. I suspect it sent me to the restaurant's bathroom, and gave me the runs later in the evening. Btw, the server suggested going with the pairing option for drinks, but I didn't order that. Believe the meal would be better with the pairing, so maybe try that when you go to Incheon for dinner.

Yelp
Polite staff and pretty good food. It's mostly American food with slight influences from Korean ingredients like kimchi. The only truly Korean dish was the Bossam. For the price, it was a good meal but I wish there was more Korean ingredients used

Yelp
They're featuring a tasting menu now. Four of us went there recently. In addition to the creative tasting menu, we ordered a burger ala carte just to try it. Wow!!!! The meat was so flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Another favorite is the pork belly with gojuchang. Everything was absolutely delicious. And the service is impeccable. The chef and wait staff could not be nicer.

Yelp
I really dig the ambiance at Incheon. The lights were dim but not too dark that we couldn't see our food. The restaurant felt modern, clean and without frills. The walls had projections of large jellyfish changing color and the reflections in the window made them seem alive. The staff also were personable and moved with ease. Since the reservations were timed at 5 pm and 8 pm, all the guests were on the same pace as your table, which contributed to a laid back vibe. Our dinner was truly a feast. I loved the little fusion twists to classic Korean dishes, like pecorino romano in the prized abalone porridge, the egg custard marriage with prik nam pla, and the crispy potato fry accompanying our short ribs. My favorites were the HaeMul, with the most bouncy and chewy noodles of my dreams, and the Ssam, with super savory and tender pork belly. It's not often that I get so full that I can barely eat anymore, but I almost had to be rolled out of the restaurant at the end. The drinks were super fun! I got an egg white cocktail with bokbunja and le hubby got a twist on a moscow mule with soju. This is a great place for a date night, a celebration or even to bring your folks! I brought my mom here and she (and we) absolutely loved it. Make your reservation today!

Yelp
when we came in, we were one of two tables, but i just loved our experience here and the food was really good. i really felt as if the service we received was so personalized. they gave us some recommendations, and of course, we followed them. we were so pleasantly surprised by the upscale renditions of all the dishes and was especially surprised by the beets. despite most of table not typically liking beets, we LOVED them. the steak with the potato puree was excellent and the kimchi pasta i would say is a 4/5. the setting a bit more intimate, but i liked a lot; i could see this as a good date spot. i will definitely be coming back.

Yelp
We didn't know what to expect from this place to be honest. My husband read a review in the Washington Post and we were instantly intrigued. It's basically an elevated Korean fusion restaurant. There's not really a lot of these types of restaurants so we had nothing to compare it to. It's a prefix/tasting menu. Be prepared to share your dishes though with the people you come with. That's the only "traditional" Korean aspect as this meal - sharing. The rest is Chef Ahn's take on traditional Korean dishes. Our tasting menu consisted of 7 dishes. The dishes were great! Our favorites were Ssam (their take on traditions pork belly wrapped in pickled nap cabbage), the jjim (the savory egg custard with fish sauce - delish!), and the juk. The juk was different from any other juk that we've tasted and I was all for it! Look at the pic! It was so good! Another thing that puts this place at a 5 is the service. The atmosphere is not too "stuffy" like other places that offer tasting menus. It's relaxed and a place I would recommend for a nice date or a friendly gathering. The server was very nice and personable and makes sure that you're having a good time. The menu does change so definitely give them a try. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
This place is so close to my home I was surprised I haven't tried them sooner. Heard great things and had to check them out for myself. Korean tasting menu - great addition to Annandale with the mainly KBBQ restaurants around. The food was good and definitely unique compared to most Korean food I've had. The interior is very well spaced out. There is a lot of room between diners/tables, which I liked. Even though all the food I had was good, nothing was amazing. I was not blown away by any of the courses. The NY strip steak, and soy cured shrimp/beef belly were my 2 favorite courses. I wish the tasting menu included a dessert. I feel like that would be a nice touch and tasting menus usually include a dessert anyways.

Yelp
It's intriguing to find a Korean Fusion restaurant in Annandale, Virginia. Although the food was good, they were trying to replicate the appearance of the past. However, they need to improve their server skills and the quality and arrangement of their food. I really like their food, so I want them to focus on the quality of their food instead of focusing on the food styling.

Yelp
Another stellar meal @incheonva staff is always attentive, food is delicious, portions generous. The new wine pairing is a welcome addition to their stellar and creative cocktail selections. Hate to keep letting the cat out of the bag, but this place is a steal on every level. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Good but could use some work. Food: 3/5 - each dish was just okay - spicy chocolate for desert was a miss for me - HaeMul course and the Ssam course were my favorites however weren't enough to make up for the other, lackluster dishes Service: 4/5 - refills were prompt - plate changes and silverware changes when needed - used paper napkins instead of something of more quality that you'd expect for a tasting menu - did not do anything special or had the ability to do anything different for a birthday. No candles available and or greetings Ambiance: 3/5 - table was nice and had good space - I would replace the chairs with something more comfortable - there was a projection on the wall that was, at one point, stars, and then turned into some trippy, magma like lights -- made the place feel less classy Overall: 3/5 - nothing really wowed me or my friend - for the same price, I could get better Korean dishes in Annandale - there's room for this place to be one of the few elevated Korean spots in nova, but needs some improvement - they haven't responded to any of my calls or emails when I tried to ask questions so had to wait until the restaurant reopened at 7:45, 15 min before my reservation

Yelp
What a hidden gem! We came here for our first wedding anniversary and it was amazing. We were a bit late because of traffic but the staff never made us feel bad about it. They were so friendly. The service level is exceptional. Food - top notch. We loved every single dish and dessert was simple but elevated. Would definitely come back here for a nice date night or special occasion.

Yelp
While the meal wasn't bad, it's just hard to justify coming here when it's in the middle of Annandale (Korean food and business central). Nothing on the menu here is truly unique to this restaurant, it's just Korean food that is plated to be fancy and upscale IMO. You can get all of the dishes served at Incheon from several Korean restaurants in Annandale for a fraction of the price, and with much greater portion sizes. The only thing you'll be missing is the ambience/vibes, "fancy" service, and the interesting cocktails. I can see the value in coming here if you're not Korean or new to Korean flavors, or if you're too intimidated to walk into a Korean restaurant where perhaps there is a slight English barrier. It's super approachable, easy, and laid-back to eat here.. if you can afford it lol. I won't be coming back; The nice vibes aren't enough. I'd rather eat a better/cheaper meal elsewhere, and then go to a nice cafe for the vibes afterwards.

Yelp
After many months of waiting to check out this place, I finally trekked here with a few friends. Despite the supply chain shortage, Incheon pulled off a great dinner service with many splendid dishes to keep in mind. All in all, I think Incheon is a place where you trust the chef's creativity to mix some new and familiar flavors. The only constructive criticism I have would be to make it a bit clearer on the website about the vision of the restaurant. While Incheon is a melting pot of various cultures with Korean possibly as the "base" or foundation, some may need to reminded or educated about the what Incheon brings to the Korean culinary scene and the direction of the cuisine in this particular restaurant. Below are specifics: - Drinks: The Lucky Sour and the Yuja Shandy are quite delicious. I know they have an extensive wine list but I do think that the cocktails are the way to go, especially as this is a course-menu. - Dduk - This dish was surprising! I really appreciated the thai flavors and it was the perfect mix of Thai flavors with the Korean "base" - Hwe - This dish had a great mix of textures. The crunchiness balanced very really well with the salmon and other fish and sauces. - Guee - This was the most "traditional" non-Korean dish. I thought it was a fabulously cooked dish and balanced nicely with the "Greens" that was a salad to the meat. - Ssam - I was slightly disappointed to hear that it wasn't duck breast but pork belly. But then again, the taste was so solid that I didn't mind. - Juk - The porridge really sealed the deal in terms of the meal being complete. I thought it was a filling course meal overall and definitely interested what the chef can cook without any supply chain issues.

Yelp
Before this month ends, I thought of leaving some reviews to one of our now memorable place. Almost forgot to leave some review since we ate out alot this anniversary month. With our kids as a family, with the inlaws, together, with mom-in law, name it. We're stuffed! Good thing I don't have any terminal illness or any diet restrictions, or it would have been a bummer. So, my husby said this place is by reservation only. He said he booked early. He was so intrigued about their food and so he wanted to have our first experience for our 10th anniversary. Also, we didn't really want to go far DC that time because of young kids. Although our mom & dad are always so willing to take care of the kids so we could get some time alone, we just wanted to stay around the area for a change. And he wanted to go home early for some more lovin' time. I'll start of by sharing why this place has become one of our memorable. 1st of all, as being said, this place is where we topped off the day of our 10th anniversary. 2nd, this place got it's remarkable pin on the map the moment my husband started to be teary eyed yet again, holding my hands thankfully praying to God and joyfully asking for more and more 10 years of our marriage. He's so adorably priceless when he does that nowadays!!! I'm very grateful to God for choosing this man to be my husband. He knows what He is doing and He doesn't make mistakes in match making! It just doesn't get any better than that. And of course, who doesn't shed some tears too seeing him and feeling him in all his prayers and emotions even as he went on praying. I guess thanks also for the "perfect for a date night" kind of ambiance for adding to that special moment! The low light and some light displays on the background kind of sets the mood. We could definitely hear clearly from each other, and we're really in a spectacular mood on that day to start with. The accommodating and excellent service is a plus. Definitely interesting Korean/Asian fusion with exceptional twists. I liked some of their good selections for wine pairing on each 6 tasting course. The food gets its well deserved five star. No miss. Great concept and a wonderful cullinary experience. The uniqueness of foods they want to bring on the plate will definitely be appealing to a melting pot. However, as I'm trying to review now, based on other reviews, I personally think that they would have been flooded with great and awesome reviews if they maintained their range same as when they started. They would have been topnotch and would have grown exponentially fast for sure, in my opinion. Labeling the place to be an upscale kind of trips people off, and takes away all the greats you'll have with them. Other than that, we really had a heck of a blast on our 10th anniversary, and had fireworks of hearts for an awesome unforgettable night!
