Indeblue Modern Indian - Review - Cherry Hill - South Jersey - The Infatuation

"There are plenty of good Indian restaurants in the Philly area (see Indian Char House, Amma’s, and Virasat Haveli). But none are quite like Indeblue in Cherry Hill. At first glance, it seems like a typical suburban Indian restaurant—housed in a strip mall, a few tables al fresco with a parking lot view, and Indian music piped a little too loud for comfort. And in some ways, it delivers as a typical experience. It’s good for takeout or a family dinner, complete with well-executed renditions of fresh naan, creamy butter chicken, and classic saag paneer at non-threatening spice levels. But look more closely at the menu and, interspersed among the usual classic Northern Indian-restaurant fare, you’ll find more inventive (and delicious!) dishes, from crispy shrimp koliwada tacos in malabar paratha to a melt-in-your mouth Indo-Thai seabass in a sweet and aromatic coconut milk curry. Take advantage of the $49 tasting menu to fill the table with both traditional and modern options, plus a satisfying dessert trio. Come for an elegant and affordable date night (BYOB is encouraged) or birthday party (start with the kabob board). Plan to bring home leftovers—the portions are as abundant as they are tasty. photo credit: Gab Bonghi photo credit: Gab Bonghi photo credit: Gab Bonghi photo credit: Gab Bonghi Pause Unmute RESERVE A TABLE Food Rundown Naan Basket The naan basket included in the tasting menu is reason enough to go for the tasting. It includes warm fresh garlic naan, everything naan (with everything bagel spice) and garhwali (mozzarella and spinach) that you’ll want to keep going back to throughout the meal. photo credit: Gab Bonghi Shrimp Koliwada Tacos Crispy battered shrimp are folded into flaky malabar paratha with lightly pickled veggies, lime crema, sweet chili aioli, and a thick slice of fresh jalapeno. This is a dish that will have you questioning whether tortillas are the best vehicles for tacos. A must order. photo credit: Gab Bonghi Shepherd’s Bangin’ Bharta Baingan bharta is a delicious mashed eggplant dish with coriander, cumin and chile that is, indeed, “bangin.” The shepherds enter the picture with piped mashed potatoes on top, delivering a hearty vegetarian shepherd’s pie. The next time you have a traditional shepherd’s pie at an Irish pub, you’ll wish you were tucking into Indeblue’s version. photo credit: Gab Bonghi Sea Bass Besides the blends of chiles and aromatic spices, Indian and Thai curries often have little in common. The sea bass at Indeblue is an Indo-Thai fusion dish that simmers tender sea bass and potatoes in a rich coconut milk flavored with mustard seeds from the Indian side, galangal from the Thai side, and chili and kaffir lime leaf from both. Viva globalization. photo credit: Gab Bonghi Butter Chicken While the modern Indian dishes at Indeblue are the standouts, don’t sleep on the classics. Indeblue’s butter chicken is comfort food done right, with enough spice to keep things interesting and skilled cooking that doesn’t cross into the stringy, overcooked territory of other versions. photo credit: Gab Bonghi" - Jonathan Deutsch

Google
I was thoroughly impressed with the exceptional experience at your restaurant. The establishment, including the restrooms, maintained an impeccable level of cleanliness. I've not been particularly fond of Indian cuisine, but the outstanding quality of the food has completely changed my perspective. I look forward to returning soon.

Google
I have to rate this place compared to the hype from my recommendations. The appetizers really delivered for us, Brussels sprouts were 10/10. Also appreciated the pricing of the entrees, cheaper than what I am used to. I really liked my dish but it did not have any spice, actually none of our 3 main dishes had a kick, which was surprising from an Indian restaurant. I will have to ask for spicier if I am ever back.

Google
Modern Indian food was a flavor bomb to me and my brunch partner. This restaurant serves what amounts to a sampling menu only during brunch. It is called Thali and each comes with two veg or non veg dishes, a kind of rice, a choice of bread (we picked naan) and a small dessert sample. It wasn't even very expensive it all. Be sure to splash out for one of the specialty drinks, too, which are pictured in one of the photos.

Google
I eat here dinner last week,I ordered biryani and it was pathetic, they mixed something like chicken curry in the rice and served it, I was expecting good biryani but they cheat on the name of biryani. Drink and dessert was good. The maise soup was tasty, They have plenty of parking.

Google
Lori was our server, it was our first time dining here and she made the evening absolutely wonderful. The service, the taking care of us, just because of HER I would come back. But then… the food, forget it. Top notch. Best Indian food by far in the area, the flavor combinations, were flavor BOMBS, uniquely crafted. Outstanding all the way around, will be regulars her for a long time.

Google
Food was very good and the waiter we had was very kind. The chef personally came and checked in on if we enjoyed the food. This place is the perfect blend of traditional and modern take of Indian food. The only thing I have to say is don't do walk-ins at peak days. We did one and wanted about an hour to get the seating we wanted. Plan ahead and make reservations to avoid this. We are definitely coming back with the rest of the family for the tasting menu.

Google
I’ve met friends here several times now for an evening out and we had an amazing meal every time! Our server Lori was great! She was friendly, attentive, very knowledgeable and had great suggestions for my friends who were not familiar with Indian cuisine so I requested her again. I really appreciate the variety of vegetarian options. In our visit the other night we enjoyed a seasonal watermelon salad, spinach chaat, paneer poutine and kaju paneer matar. We saved a little bit of room for dessert and so glad we did!! I tried something different every time and am already looking forward to my next visit!

Google
The crispy spinach chaat was divine. I mean truly, the first bite was borderline org*smic (sorry for the language but when the food is that good). I also had the butter chick and it was good though I found myself cutting up the pieces of chicken into small bits for my own personal preference. The naan was as fresh and crisp and the perfect pairing to our curry. Overall this was my 3rd time ordering from Indeblue and it certainly won’t be the last. The staff is pleasant and attentive (the 1st time I came I had order pick up and they gave me complimentary chai while I waited) and the atmosphere is cozy and intimate. A great spot to get together with friends.

Yelp
If I'm concerned spending a little bit more for dinner I was just place not only for the experience but also the taste. Not one item has let me down and I failed to fill me up. And something to consider if you're with the group is sharing items.

Yelp
Visited Indeblue over the summer with a friend for dinner, and we had a nice time! Indeblue is not too far from the city (~25 min drive), and despite being some construction around the strip mall where the restaurant was, it was easy to get to with plentiful parking. We opted to sit outside, so I can't speak to the interior of the restaurant, but I was pleased with the amount of outdoor seating they offered (and was pleased with the built in fans, too). I didn't realize it was BYOB, so unfortunately, we were sub-optimally prepared, but no big deal! Our server was attentive enough without being over bearing, and they provided insight when we posed questions about menu options. They were also incredibly attentive to the water situation, which was much appreciated given the heat! For food, my friend and I wound up splitting a few different menu items. We share the spinach chaat, roasted beet salad, kaju paneer matar, and the kashmiri. I appreciated the vast menu, and the separation of the vegetarian and non-veg entrees and other dishes made for easy navigation. The standouts were the chaat (nicely crispy with fresh tomatoes, making a unique bite) and the kashmiri (unexpected sweet and savory tastes, but I loved the inclusion of the pistachio). I typically love a beet salad, but the flavors fell flat on this one - I think I was expecting an Indian twist, but that was lacking. The paneer was good too, but I found the proportion of sauce to paneer to be a bit overwhelming. The accompanying rice was OK, but a little dry in my opinion. My meal was solid, but I wish all the dishes I got hit the same way rather than the somewhat discrepant vibes I got. I will say that the portions were quite generous (I took home a lot of leftovers), and the prices were reasonable. There are a ton of options for all taste preferences, so this is a good spot for a group. With as large as a menu as Indeblue offers, I'm sure it's hard to hit the mark on every dish, so I would certainly love to revisit and try other menu items (and bring a bottle of wine). Looking forward to a return visit!

Yelp
I've been to some Indian restaurants but this is by far the best place I've been to so far the lamb Lollipops are amazing and lobster balls to die for the ambiance is very beautiful even the service were so attentive and professionally friendly.

TasteBuds' R.

Yelp
Tastebuds' = my rating: 3 + husbands rating: 2 = 2.5 avg. Ambiance was nice. Service was good. Food however was just alright. Not as much flavor in it as what I remember the food having a few years back. Spinach chaat was the best thing we ordered. My husband mentioned the lamb chops were just okay as well. Most likely won't go back. We've got better Indian food locally

Yelp
A favorite in cherry hill (and worth the drive from Philly). This isn't a hidden gem anymore so highly recommend getting a reservation! Small place with cute vibe and outdoor seating in the warmer months. Amazing modernish Indian cuisine!

Yelp
Good food ! Love the place! The thalis are just right sized. The food is a bit customized with low spice levels which works for me. If you are a foodie for pure spicy Indian food then this is not the place for you.

Yelp
Updating review because the food is great and the team went above and beyond. Unfortunately I do not have pictures but I had a large group and we ordered quite a bit from the menu. For appetizers we had Brussels, cauliflower and lamb lollipops. It was really nice that they packed sauces separately from the fried food so it traveled well. The lamb lollipops were especially good. For entrees we had a variety of curries. Everything I tried had great flavor. It was ordered for a mix of people so not too spicy, but good flavor. The issue was that we ordered takeout on their website and it did not come. I ended up having to pick it up myself, but it was an issue with DoorDash, not the restaurant. However it is a little tricky of a situation since Indeblue contracts DoorDash, so you cannot go to a he delivery service yourself. However, they have pushed on my behalf to DoorDash since the 1+ hour delay meant guests with young kids had to leave prior to dinner. Overall I highly recommend Indeblue and have loved the food since going to their location in Philadelphia. Additionally their team is very helpful. Just be a little weary of the delivery option since you cannot interact directly with its the delivery company.

Yelp
This place does such a cool balanced idea of fusion Indian food. The staff is all wonderful every time we go. The inside is designed so nice and there is also outdoor seating.

Yelp
Fantastic meal. The crispy spinach salad is one of the best dishes I've ever eaten. The chicken tikka was delicious as was the garlic Nan. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in the area.

Yelp
Went to Indeblue for brunch and we really enjoyed it Such a cute place. I love the presentation of the food. I got the Chicken Tikka Masala and my fiance got a lamb dish. We both really enjoyed our food. The brunch was a really good value because I got Chicken Tikka Masala, Chana Masala, spinach chaat , raita, dal makhani, garlic Naan and a dessert for $22. We will definitely return.

Yelp
I revisited Indeblue for lunch and will be increasing my rating. I cannot recommend the appetizers enough, especially the crispy spinach chaat. The food is great no matter what and the servers were very attentive. There are different options for seating (indoor and outdoor) but the indoor decor is gorgeous.

Yelp
I was extremely disappointed with my last two visits and I am done with Indeblue now. Ever since they moved to Cherry Hill, the quality of food has gone down the drain. We ordered a thali--everything was made in the same sauce (even the makhani dal tasted like it was made with the same thing). You could taste the sugar--it didn't taste like dal. We asked for some spicy sauce because everything was sweet. They apparently made it "fresh" for us. Since they said they had "freshly made it", I decided to take it home to try it (By the time it had come out, I was done eating, so couldn't try it there). It was basically the same sauce that they had used in the gravy with likely one table spoon of chilly powder. I trashed it. The gulab jamun was around $10 bucks (for three small pieces). I would have been happy to pay if the gulab jamun were even close to the stuffed big gulab jamuns they used to serve at their Philly location (those were the gulab jamuns I was expecting). They now give you worse than a suburb Indian place food, but charge you the same high prices that they used to. Just as a comparison point, our local Indian place gives you 5 pieces topped with a lot of almonds, raisins etc.--for 6 bucks! I was told that the owner still cooks everything--I don't believe it. The food served at the Philly locale 'felt' good...good for the soul. Not the case with the Cherry Hill place. Frankly, this used to be one of the best Indian restaurants around--my friends used to often joke that I likely get commission from them (I used to recommend it a lot). Unfortunately, now it can compete for the worst--unbelievably bad food in the garb of "modern Indian food" (they do remind you often that it is modern Indian food). And, this feels like a personal loss. Service was still good on this particular trip (especially compared to our last trip).

Yelp
Awesome Indian food! Love this spot. A little on the pricey side, but very good quality! The crispy Spinach Chaat is a MUST HAVE. It's a wonderful starter. Mandarin salad was not bad. The lamb chops were also an excellent starter. I had the Seafood Biryani as my entree and OH MY! Would certainly come back just for that. Wife had paneer saag, which was like a vegan/cheese lasagna, really tasty. Wonderful variety of Naan and other breads. Really nice menu and specials too. BYOB. We returned for a light lunch one day - masala pouting fries were out of sight and the arincini was delicious as well.

Yelp
Beautiful interior with friendly, efficient and helpful staff. Plate changes between courses and water filled before they even got half empty. I was so looking forward to a wonderful meal. We decided to do the tasting menu so we could get more options to try and new experiences. By far the best dish of the meal was the crispy Spanish. I thought at first it would come out hot but wasn't. It was so packed with flavor and textures. I couldn't get enough. Crispy, crunchy, sweet, so delicious. The next item I enjoyed was the bread stuffed with cheese. Everything else was okay.

Yelp
I don't eat indian food often so am not used to what to expect. However these were amazing! Highly recommend to get the platter to try different flavors and see what you truly like. The portions are huge and the flavors are unique. My boyfriend got the lamb biryani and he wished he got the platter instead haha. But it was still delicious

Yelp
Very nice service and good food. Very good interior too. The thali was enough to feed you very well and the chef (who is also the owner) did very well.

Yelp
Everything was great, great service, energy, and the food was very delectable! Would be very excited to come again!

Yelp
Craving Indian food?! This is the spot to check out! First, make those reservations! We went on a Friday night for a last minute date night and it was a packed house! We really wanted to try it, so we did decide to sit outside which was semi closed off with heaters. Inside is small, but you're golden if you make a reservation! For starters, you have to get the Spinach Chaat... if i could make this, i would eat it every day. It's a large size salad with fried spinach lol (i know probably not as healthy but it has veggies) but it was enough for 2 to share. Of course you have to get some naan, we got the everything seasoned one and chose a chicken (Madras) and a lamb (laal Maas) dish to share. Nothing was over spicy... so i think we will try to go for the Vindaloo next time. I definitely want to go back and try more of their appetizers as they have so many options!! Enough that the appetizers could be your whole meal. They do have selections of local wines you can choose but you can also bring your own wine as well which is a great option. Everything was flavored so nicely. Great customer service as well. Will definitely be going back!

Yelp
Absolutely a delightful neighborhood gem of classic and gastronomically superb Indian cuisine. Portions were so large and clearly restaurant knows as they provide you with ample take home packages for your food The service was absolutely pleasant amiable and guiding towards excellent selections Be careful as the food portions are large and generous We had the chicken drumstick appetizer with spicy tomato sauce and fried cauliflower which had a significant heat of spice but was pleasant The daal and yogurt were delicious as was the chicken tikka masala which featured a spicy savory sauce so famous for this dish The naaan selections were divine with choices of spinach and cheese everything seasoning and garlic Who needed more? Ambience was so pleasant and comfortable allowing us to enjoy our own meal without listening to others and their conversations Kudos to this Beautiful restaurant its management and its chef! 10/10 +

Yelp
I love when my Philly favorites follow me to Jersey. I've yet to dine in, or try my Philly staples, BUT I'm finding some new favs. Indeblue does so many favorite things: Indian food, brunch, daily brunch! I had the pleasure of a delivery experience recently meant to span multiple meals of the day. I opted for the make your own omelette and my husband did the French toast. We split a lamb saag and both got soups. The soup was pumpkin because it was fall; I wish this happened year 'round. The pumpkin soup even came with pumpkin naan, which we didn't realize was a thing. Boy were we happy. Our order was the typical quality we loved from Philly, in the comfort of our own house over a whole day. I can't wait to eat more of my old and new IndeBlue favorites.
google avatar

Larry L.

Yelp
Service and ambience were lovely. But the FOOD was absolutely unique and amazing. It's like Indian comfort food, and everything had its distinct taste.

J P.

Yelp
Food was a miss this time I ordered. Paneer tikka masala was bland tomato sauce and cold paneer. Had zero spice or flavor. Sauce was chunky rather than the smooth creamy sauce you would expect. Chili cauliflower had sauce on the side which kept the cauliflower crispy but the sauce was a pool of oil and had no flavor. Entree included a pint of basmati rice which was the best part of the meal. Glad they didn't mess that one up!
google avatar

Yelp
I was offered a chance from the owner to come back and try to remedy the subpar service experience. I have never seen an owner be so attentive and apologetic for their employee's mistakes and applaud Rakesh for listening to my situation and acknowledging their fault in this matter. I can say I higjly recommend their Crispy Spinach Chaats as well as their Roasted Cauliflower as being very delicious appetizers. I will also recommend their Paneer Bhurji with Chili Naan. Rakesh definitely cares about his restaurant's public perception and it shows!

Debbie P.

Yelp
Enjoyed everything I selected for my $20 brunch option. The spinach salad is amazing.
google avatar

Amelia C.

Yelp
Food was average and I found it a bit overpriced. The chicken was a bit dry in the chicken tikka masala. I wish there were choices for spiciness levels because the dish was too mild for me. The crispy spinach chaat was good. It was fried spinach so very crispy. The butter chicken poutine was okay. Wish the garlic naan had a stronger garlic flavor.

Al L.

Yelp
Delicious food. Good service. One of the best Indian restaurants in the area. Next time I'm anywhere Cherry Hill and in the mood for an Indian style meal, I'll head directly to Indeblue.

Yelp
Exceptional - great apps, Great entrees. Very small restaurant. Would recommend making reservations for weekends. Fresh, flavorful, give it a try.

Yelp
Always a delicious place to eat. A bit confusing cause they had a location in Philly then collingswood, now they are here. Food has stayed the same and great. Service was quick and easy. Love coming here to try the Indian food with a twist/modern take and American mix. Always recommending it to friends. Will definitely be back in the future. Happy eating!

Yelp
As a half-Indian (my mom's family being from the Punjab region of North India), Indeblue is By far my favorite Indian restaurant in the Philly area! I went a few months back with some family and they ordered the spinach chaat that I wasn't so sure how it would be, but let me tell you, I go back JUST for that crispy spinach chaat! I love that at brunch/lunch, they have it as an app option in their Thali plate. The Thali is such a great way to be able to order small portions multiple things! Butter chicken/paneer poutine was also an amazing app. Cannot go wrong with any of the small plates/apps that are kabobs. It's my go-to Indian spot when friends and family who love Indian food come to visit!

Yelp
For girls night, my best friend and I decided to try Indeblue. It seemed as if everyone I know had been to their other locations but me, and it was time. We made a reservation and when we arrived it was jam packed, both outside and inside. We were seated within 5 minutes and buckled in for a culinary adventure. We opted for the four course tasting menu, which is $55 and is the ultimate Indeblue experience. Let me just say, this was a mistake ONLY because I ate entirely too much. We ordered Arnold Palmers ( they're BYOB) and started with the Aloo Latkes Chaat, which came out with their soup of the moment, spicy tomato. I honestly could have done without the soup, but the chaat was fantastic and I was ready to see what the night would bring. Our second course was Butter Chicken Poutine and Mango Pork Spring Rolls. This was my absolutely favorite course and I highly recommend both of these appetizers. The spring rolls were incredible, with a blue cheese wine dipping sauce that just works to bring all of the flavors together. As our entrees we got the sea bass and kesar pista chicken korma. Both were delicious, but by this point we were so full it was becoming increasingly difficult to eat... Until dessert arrived and changed everything. The dessert sampler consisted of toasted coconut gulab jamun, anjeer (fig) kulfi with pistachio, and chai chocolate pot de crème, all of which were fantastic. I ended up eating all of my dessert somehow. Throughout the experience our water glasses were refilled constantly. The servers seemed to work together, as we did not have one consistent server and were served by everyone. My only criticism is that the bread basket with assorted Naan was served with the entrees. I would have loved to have it sooner to dip into the butter chicken poutine sauce and chaat, but that's just me. I will 10000% be back and I already can't wait.

Yelp
After hearing alot of buzz I was able to come check it out for myself. I would recommend reservations for any day of the week. I made mine for Wednesday at 6pm. When we got there, it was not to crowded, but by 630 every table was full including outside and there was a line. The outside seating is heated for the cold nights. Service was on point. Food takes a bit of time, but gives you the time to enjoy your BYOB. Food itself was very tasty and flavorful. They make sure to ask your spicey levels. We had mild on one and hot on another. I preferred the hot as the flavor was delicious. The naan basket was great specifically the naan stuffed with cheese and spinach. So good. If you enjoy Indian cuisine, definitely check it out.

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants of all time, have been enjoying them since their Collingswood location. Incredible food, excellent service, simple but elegant dining room. If you want to order a vegetarian/vegan dish the baingan bharta is the best and one of my favorite dishes of all time. The crispy spinach chaat is also amazing. They have great chai. The chana masala and samosa chaat are also good. I haven't tried too many of their dishes because I like these so much. They absolutely make my favorite baingan bharta I have ever had, and baingan bharta is my favorite Indian dish. Their saffron rice is also some of my favorite rice ever. They have a gluten free naan which I believe is made with besan (chickpea flour) and I enjoy it simply for that reason (I love beans). Will try their regular naan one day. The service here is always friendly and attentive, above and beyond the average restaurant. The prices are reasonable for the quality you get. There are other great Indian restaurants at slightly lower price points, but there is a noticeable difference in the quality of the ingredients here. The food tastes very fresh and clean.

Yelp
Had a special birthday dinner for my wife on Indeblue last night. I made reseverations earlier in the week. They were so kind to treat us to this bottle of champagne with a mango juice and a rose water. Both were delicious. We got the tasting menu, which is $55 per person. It came with a lot of food! We were practically stuffed when our entrées arrived. We have been Indeblue fans ever since their days in Collingswood. Every dish was executed beautifully. The service was top-notch. Just a great evening!

Yelp
indeblue's new location is very pretty inside, simple with lovely carvings on the walls. service was very efficient and multiple people tended our table throughout the course of our dinner. I had samosas as an appetizer and they were served on a bed of saucy spicy chickpeas. my sister had a beet salad which she enjoyed. we both ordered the special tandoori chicken, realizing that we could have shared it, lots of chicken, roasted potatoes, naan & salad. super tasty! we did share dessert which was a butterscotch budino with salted caramel - divine! will go back with my hubby.

Yelp
I had been eager to try this place for a while and I'm SO glad I finally did. The restaurant itself was comfortable, clean and had beautiful natural lighting. We were greeted by genuinely one of the best servers we've ever had but of course I forgot to get her name to give her the roses she deserves. The food came quickly with the butter chicken poutine first. This dish was so incredibly well thought out and executed. Perfect spice and balance. We cleaned the dish easy and even questioned why we would ever need to eat anything else. Then for our mains we had the stuffed French toast and the chicken tikka masala. Both very different vibes so we could really experience all this place has to offer. The French toast was amazing. Usually i find buttercream to be too sweet but the chef nailed it. The basmati rice on the side is oftentimes nothing special but not here. The fried onions and seasoning made it spectacular on its own. The chicken tikka masala was bound to be great but the rice just elevated it to the next level. We even got the everything naan since we've never seen anything like it before and obviously we didn't regret that either. I cannot sing enough praises about this place I only wish I had tried it sooner.

J G.

Yelp
Fantastic. I've eaten the 2 dishes I've had here at over 20 restaurants and they are easily #1 or #2 out of all of them. The dal tadka was excellent, and the Chana saag/palak channa was incredible too. Staff was friendly and restaurant was decorated nicely. The restaurant is not too large so the noise on a Friday night I was here, with a full house about, was on the noisier side for sure. Coming alone and for the flavors caused it to not bother me as much but I could see it being a tad bothersome if someone was on a date or with a group. Definitely will be back and happy to have founded this gem. 5/5

Yelp
Plentiful portions and attentive service made for a pleasant dinner experience for my husband and I. After learning that he was vegan, our server was intentional with recommendations and altering his choices. The dining area is small and the voices carry, thus it was loud and difficult to engage in conversation without repeating yourself. We will return-perhaps not on a Saturday night.

Isabella S.

Yelp
The food was soo good!!! I went for their brunch menu and got the sampler great if you would like to try some things on the menu especially if it's your first time. On the dinner menu I got their poutine and chicken masala. I will be thinking about the poutine fries for days my favorite thing I ate! The chicken masala was really flavorful. The customer service was great everyone was really attentive and nice. I also think the restaurant itself was really cute and nicely decorated.

Yelp
We went to Inde Blue in Cherry Hill last night for my birthday dinner. We live an hour away and it was between Inde Blue and Amada in the Ocean casino! I'm so glad I chose this gem. We have a great authentic restaurant ten minutes from our house. However, I wanted something new to try. What a home run from start to finish! The staff is knowledgeable and so nice. The food was amazing. We had the drumsticks and poutine for appetizers. The poutine was some of the best we have ever had. Usually the fries get a little soggy from the toppings. These were chrisp the entire time. For our main course we had the chicken Biryani, the pork vindaloo and the wild mushroom chicken. All three were phenomenal dishes. We enjoyed the addition of nuts in the biryani and potatoes to the other two dishes. When I go again, I will definitely get the wild mushroom chicken. The sauce was absolutely AMAZING!! The two breads we got were the butter naan and the everything naan. At the end of the meal, the waiter brought out a sorbet for my birthday with a candle on the house which was so sweet. We ordered the banana nirvana for dessert! Oh MY GOSH!! They are crispy fried dough balla with tiny bits of banana in them, served with vanilla ice cream and an amazing caramel sauce! I believe it is a BYOB. At the end of our meal we noticed that they had to turn a couple away because they were all booked.

Yelp
Stopped by the new Indeblue location in Cherry Hill and was very impressed to see the service, food quality, and decor well done for their new spot. Server Vipul was phenomenal and very accommodating to our requests for a spicy chicken Tikka masala - highly recommend the chicken Tikka masala, garlic naan, and mango juice. Wonderful spot and can't wait to return

Yelp
It is lovely to have Indeblue back on the Jersey side of the bridge! Always delicious, can be pricey but our last visit the portions were decent and taste is always en pointe! Longtime fan of the chicken madras which many places do not offer and here the balance of black mustard seeds and coconut is magical.

Yelp
I was in the area for something else and came across this place in a few restaurant searches. The reviews were pretty solid. I had the masala tea, chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, and the crispy spinach chaat, which was an appetizer. Look... That appetizer with the spinach was in another level, pure mode cooking. The tikka masala was also very good with my requested Indian hot for spice. This place is on my return list.

Yelp
I ate at this restaurant in the Philadelphia location years ago... and fell in love with the spinach chaat. I came to this location specifically for that dish. It tastes almost exactly the same. The spinach is fried, and crispy, and is topped with chutneys, tomatoes, and sev. All of the flavors combined make this an amazing dish. I went back a few weeks later to eat it again. They have a different menu for brunch vs dinner (with some similarities), I suggest trying both. The atmosphere and decor is good for a date night, but other patrons were dressed super casual (gym shorts and tshirts). Hopefully this place gets a bit upscale.

Yelp
I am ecstatic that indeblue returned to the south jersey food scene! What a treat for the locals like me! We stopped by on a Sunday evening and restaurant was jam packed! I was so glad I had a reservation for the evening! We ordered several dishes to share n they were all fantastic! To start with the samosa n spinach chaat, the spinach chaat had always been a staple for the restaurant and it certainly did not disappoint! The samosa was solid too but not my favorite. Then we shared the lamb chops, vindaloo, seafood briyani and chicken tikka masala. Everything was a great compliment for one another and we loved the surf n turf experience! Everything was full of flavor n it really hit the spot. The cherry hill location is now BYOB which is a plus imo and the newly renovated decor adds a nice trendy vibe to it. If you haven't tried the collingswood or philly location, I highly recommend checking this place out! You're guaranteed a good time!

Yelp
Another amazing meal last night, thank you Indeblue! This has been a place I've dined at since their first spot opened in Collingswood, NJ almost a decade ago. Chef Ramola's dishes are absolutely delicious, presentation is always on point, and all dishes can be made to the spice level of your choosing! The tasting menu is an affordable and excellent way to try soups, appetizers, entrees, and desserts! Congratulations on your new location! We will be back soon.

Yelp
Yes yes yes and yes. This place did it for us. The pumpkin soup and cinnamon naan were exceptional and so unique. That followed by the spinach chaat, seabass with coconut, butter chicken and banana caramel ice cream desert rocked our world. Cherries on top were the excellent service and cute ambiance. Definitely coming back!

Yelp
This is definitely modern Indian food. Lots of interesting dishes with unique takes on traditional. We loaded up on appetizers since they looked so good we couldn't decide on just one so we ordered three. The samosas in Chaat sauce with chickpeas, the beet salad (unusual for an Indian restaurant) and the pork spring rolls which were all great. The spring rolls were especially good with a lightly battered shell and the shredded pork was cooked to perfection with a sublime seasoning. Our one entree was Lamb Laal Maas that was delicious with a sauce that was flavorful but not overpowering. It was served with chopped vegetables and paratha that you could eat like a taco. You should definitely try this place if you're anywhere near Cherry Hill.

Yelp
I am not a huge Indian food person, I don't mind it, but it's just not my favorite; however this place was just incredible. Really unique and really really delicious. Not only was the food great, but service was just as wonderful . Great experience all around! (we got the tasting menu..SO much food). HIGHLY recommend!

Yelp
I tried indeblue Indian restaurant for the first time this past weekend, ordering delivery to switch things up. To say I was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. I ordered the Tikka Masala, and it was fantastic. But the real standout for me was the fried spinach - it was amazing! I also tried two different nans, and both were delicious. The lamb was good as well, but it was the sauces that really stood out to me - they were all amazing. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that this is the best Indian food I've had in South Jersey so far - even better than Tiffin. If you're looking for top-notch Indian cuisine, indeblue is the way to go.
