My first time here! Great vibes, feels very inclusive, and they have a unique menu! I tried the cherry Garcia (espresso, mocha, and cherry). The frappé version didn’t have much flavor, perhaps because it was blended in ice? The hot version is AMAZING. Lovely staff and family-owned, I’ll definitely be back~

Absolutely love getting the cappuccino with a shot of coconut. The muffins are my favorite, the tuxedo choloate and the blueberry. I have also attended a couple of the canvas painting events, such a good girls outing with friends!

The coffee tastes better than Dunkin' and Starbucks hands down. The establishment is very clean and welcoming. There's a strong community feel as well. I was greeted and given friendly and quick service by Emma. The prices are super affordable. I got a medium sized coffee with extras, and only paid $5 and some change. I love the purpose behind this company. I'll definitely be a lifelong customer.

Amazing atmosphere and service. They have a velvety soft friend's couch, a big wall that says "Inclusion matters," fun flavors for coffee. I had white mocha lavender latte. The customer service was nice. The atmosphere is open and airy, and very clean. I'll definitely return next time I have time in Kennesaw.

I saw this place online and believe in their mission but live out of state, so I ordered online. I ordered the ground Emma's Brew and it is wonderful! It also arrived way faster than I expected. I can't wait to try other flavors!!

OMG!!! Just had the Cinderella Latte this morning! The best latte ever! The perfect blend of warm pumpkin spice, creamy white chocolate, and espresso. The staff was super friendly and sweet! Such a cozy and cute shop. Thanks for a perfect Saturday morning☕️

A pleasure and an oasis. This place is a welcome small business in the sea of fast paced corporate places. You will be greeted warmly, taken care of and then left to sink into your delicious drink. Bring a distraction or work. Plenty of outlets and sitting options. Music is played at the perfect volume. My drinks. One of the best Chai Tea Lattes I've ever had. Both in temperature and sweetness. As in not too sweet. Food offerings: danish, bagel or muffin. Went with a muffin. Decent. 5 out of 10. Sat and read. Could feel my entire body unwind. Grabbed a mango strawberry smoothie on the way out. Again. Not too sweet and well blended. Stop here. Support local. And by the way, they support a great cause. Go find out.

I don't feel like this place tries to be anything other than a very well run coffee shop. It's not niche, it's not trying to hard to be cool, the staff aren't over the top, and the coffee is as good as anywhere else. The noise level is easy to work in, there is plenty of seating throughout, and the wifi is fast enough to get those Teams meetings in. I love this place for what it is, a very well run coffee shop.

My husband and I decided to make a quick stop in Kenesaw for some coffee. We jumped on Yelp and came across this place, so we decided to try it. There was a decent amount of parking. They have plenty of seating available, and the noise level was not too loud. They have plenty of coffee to choose from, including a seasonal menu with a couple of cool drinks and a couple of pastries. I got the Chai Tea (warm), and my husband got the Lucky Charm drink (warm) from the seasonal menu. Our drinks were good overall. My drink tasted like warm milk with a dash of Chai. My husband enjoyed his but wasn't blown out of the water. We also decided to get the spinach feta bread, which was delicious. They have a reward card which is excellent for repeat customers to get because after a couple of drinks, you get one for free. Customer service was excellent! They were very friendly, and the drinks were made quickly. I would love to go back and try a different drink.

Neat little coffee shop. Almost had me wanting to go to college.....almost. Used to pass by here on the way to other places and always thought about stopping but was always in a hurry. We bought a surprise bag from the "Too Good to Go" app and stopped in. Wished I'd stopped sooner now. Coffee was good and my wife said it was the best hot chocolate she's had in a long time. We had a cheese Danish, banana nut muffin, an everything bagel as well. It was very good. Will definitely make this a stop on the rotation. Staff was very friendly and the place was nice and quiet.

I had heard good things and finally gave ind grounds a try! Located next to Bixby in the center of kennesaw. It's tucked in, quite literally. Cant see it off of the pkwy. I tried seasonal spring drink! Iced white chocolate lavender with oat milk. A great choice. My new addiction. The environment was quite and peaceful. A handful of people studying or reading. Plenty of open tables, seats, couches. Outlets and free WiFi provided. Restroom is gender neutral. Pretty detailed menu. I also had a warmed blueberry muffin and it was soft and fluffy. I recommend this to everyone. Sweet and timely staff who brought my coffee out to me. Asked how my day was and if they could grab me anything else :)

Nestled comfortably within the Kennesaw State University residential area, Independent Grounds is a gem of a coffee shop that I hope will establish itself beyond the borders of student traffic and into the hearts of Cobb County. This is due to its #InclusionMatters mission, which I can wholeheartedly get behind. The exterior of the establishment affirms that it belongs within its surroundings while still demanding that you come in and get a cup of quality coffee. I'm happy to report, as an admitted coffee snob, that a GREAT cup of coffee is exactly what I received. I rarely patronize coffee shops, as all too often I receive lukewarm coffee that fails to live up to any claims of being full-bodied or flavorful. But here I received a steaming hot Americana that was bold and flavorful. It was exactly what I was hoping for in an Americana. I also got an old-fashioned donut. It was moist and fresh and went perfectly with the coffee. I also loved the interior of the place, with it being a nice blend of shabby chic and "coffee house modern." Any time I'm in the area I would be thrilled to return and have a cup. :)

MOST AMAZING COFFEE SHOP!! The sweetest people serving you and just an amazing atmosphere. Great for the kids, meetings, get togethers, study times, and after workout refreshers! Coffee shop with a purpose!

You couldn't ask for a better business! The coffee is great, wonderful foods and snacks! But the best part is the staff!! A group of amazing people whose smiles brighten any day! The owner is so sweet and her vision of having a company that employs people with special needs-what a God-given vision! I absolutely recommend this place for the great coffee, food, environment and amazing employees!

This place is great! Great coffee, outstanding customer service. I LOVE that they employ persons with disabilities, too. It just makes for a great experience every time. It's my go-to spot for coffee when I'm in Kennesaw.

My favorite coffee shop! My 3 year old daughter and I try to make at least one weekly trip to Independent Grounds. I love the iced lattes and she loves the strawberry smoothie- and asks for one frequently. We live next door to a Dunkin Donut's, but go a few extra minutes to get here because you can't beat a small business with a great mission! The staff is always super friendly and quick to get you your order. The location itself is really convenient and pristine on the inside.
