Indian Garden Restaurant - Review - Chicago - The Infatuation

"This Streeterville restaurant is another spot that’s well known for its large buffet. But thankfully, the food at Indian Garden travels well. They have a few standout dishes - like tandoori lobster, jalfrezi, and the kashmiri aloo (potatoes with cashews, raisins, and paneer). Do a Zoom at-home buffet wars with your friends. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

Great Indian restaurant in Chicago, eat like a local and try new food here. The food was great, we really enjoyed the fresh spices which you rarely find in the US. Service was exceptional, staff were nice and friendly and always ready to help. The owner of the restaurant is really kind. The atmosphere was great, the design is fantastic and the aesthetic is cool with great music. Things they can improve on would be the little sticky flooring and slightly dirty bathroom. Overall this is a great local Indian restaurant I recommend.

Google
My first time trying this restaurant with my South Indian mother in law and we were quite happy with the experience. This place is beautifully decorated with lots of color and Indian details all over. They have a full bar at the entrance. The menu has a lot of options but we ended up choosing the Lunch Buffet (23dlls per person). They serve 2 to 3 varieties of each dish, plus a small salad bar. Overall it was a nice experience.

I ordered some food for pickup, and even after walking 20 minutes back to my hotel, my food was still nice and hot. I got some rice and butter chicken, and it's delicious. The perfect amount of spice and a big portion! I hadn't eaten anything substantial all day because I was traveling, and I'm so glad I picked here!!

This restaurant wants you to leave with a full belly and without using a lot of money. We were invited by my hubby's coworker, and our excitement was met head-on with flavor. Everything on the menu was delicious! Please give them a try. I will be back. The only downside had nothing to do with food - access was on the 2nd floor with no elevator.

Google
My Experience with Indian Garden Restaurant I recently ordered food from Indian Garden through the DoorDash app, hoping to enjoy some authentic Indian cuisine. Unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing overall. We ordered several dishes: Aloo Gobi, Garlic Naan, Kesari Polao, and Ghost Rogan Josh. While I was excited to try these classic items, the quality of the food did not meet my expectations. Starting with the Aloo Gobi, I noticed an unpleasant smell of raw oil as soon as I opened the container. This was off-putting and made it difficult to enjoy the dish. It felt like the oil used was either not fresh or the dish had not been cooked properly to eliminate that raw oil flavor. The Garlic Naan was the one highlight of the meal. It was fresh, soft, and had a nice garlic flavor. I appreciated that at least one item was well-prepared and tasty. However, the rice dishes were another letdown. The Kesari Polao was undercooked—the rice grains were hard and not fully boiled, which made it difficult to eat and enjoy. Additionally, the basmati rice served alongside was of very poor quality. It lacked the fragrant aroma and fluffy texture that I usually expect from good Indian basmati rice. As for the Ghost Rogan Josh (I assume this was meant to be Goat Rogan Josh), it didn’t leave a strong impression. The flavors were muted, and it didn’t have the rich, hearty taste I was hoping for. Overall, I can’t say I was impressed with this order from Indian Garden. While the garlic naan was good, the issues with the Aloo Gobi, rice quality, and undercooked polao made the meal disappointing. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t feel comfortable recommending this restaurant to others unless they improve their food quality and preparation.

Do you want to travel to India? Stop here to see what you can experience over there: what an amazing experience! Great sensory experience with amazing authentic cuisine and all tastes and spices covered from the East. You would definitely enjoy every single dish with great hospitality and authentic atmosphere.

We went for a quick dinner at the Indian Garden Restaurant in downtown Chicago. A decent place to have good food. This place is on the second floor of the building with no lift to go up, so I guess accessibility could be an issue. We climbed the steep stairs while curious to know if it was worth all the climbing :). The service was prompt, and the food was good. We ordered lamb biryani, and although I had expected Hyderabadi biryani preparation, it was good, and I liked it. We could not try few other dishes as we were rushing to meet some time deadline. We may go again to this place as its convinient and good for a lunch/ dinner especially if you are in downtown area and hungry after all the walking done during sightseeing.

Google
Am so glad that great Indian food was so close to our hotel. I love Chicago food but after hitting all of the normal spots for that classic Chicago menu, we LOVED going to the Indian Garden! We had a great table, super pleasant and helpful staff, and the food was served hot and was delicious ☺️. We ordered Chicken Tikka and an Egg plant dish plus garlic naan and had a recommended appetizer. It was a very nice, about an hour long, dinner.

Yelp
Delicious Goat curry, right spice and portion to go with the garlic naan, tandoori roti and plain white rice. The tender goat chunks were top notch. We got the 3 chair cover at the window with the Buddha statue. Samosa needs sweet tangy tamarind chutney, only the green chutney was served. One can easily identify the Indian garden restaurant from outside just by looking at this window with the Buddha statue and hanging artificial garlands! The overall Interior warm and cold colour scheme blends well with the well lit artificial lights and the natural light flooding in. We ended our lunch with Pista and Mango kulfi ... I would recommend the Mango kulfi. The restaurant offers a la carte and buffet (a wide variety of vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes to choose from) the list is placed right at the entrance at the waiting area.

Yelp
I really like this place! I've been here for lunch, dinner & buffet and I think its all good. We recently came on Mother's Day for dinner with my in-laws, and they gave my mother-in-law and I a small pretty wrapped box with a couple pieces of desert/candy, as well as a rose on the way out. They brought our table a mini cupcake each for free. I wasn't expecting anything special on Mother's Day from them, so I was really impressed. The space is beautiful. It always makes me happy to come here, it feels like I'm doing something cool. The staff is helpful and friendly. The food is delicious. I love the buffet so I can try many things. Everything I've had here, I enjoyed. Next time I go, I'll have to make a list of what dishes I had and liked.

Yelp
I have recently had two very different experiences of Indian garden. We dined in and enjoyed our meal very much. We were a large party but they were able to mostly keep up. We had some appetizers but mostly remember the excellent Chana, Malai Kofta, and Daal Makhani. Their breads are well done and the overall meal was delicious. We also sent some friends last week and they too had positive things to say. So then my husband decided to do take-out and it was terrible. The daal makhani was severely under-cooked, not just slightly as a matter of preferred style. The breads were definitely not prepared fresh. And it was a complete turn-off. How can a place be so inconsistent?

Yelp
It was a cute little spot, although you had three flights of stairs to go up, and service was good. But the food was meh. We only had soups and appetizers, entrées I thought were pricey.

Yelp
Maybe I'm showing my Americanism here, but if I order a chicken dish, I don't want it full of tiny bones. Trying to politely pull bones out of my mouth in a restaurant isn't ideal. I had so many bones that I just stopped eating anything but rice, naan, and paneer. It made me lose my appetite. The ambiance is absolutely beautiful here. The lights and furnishings take you on a journey and the restaurant sits above Ontario St, so if you snag a window seat, it's a nice view. It's the reason I've eaten here 4-5x over the years, but I won't be returning. I'd suggest ordering a vegetarian meal here. No bones.

Yelp
This is a great spot for an easy family meal. Staff is accommodating and service was correct. I did take quite a while to get our order and although everything tasted good it felt slightly overpriced for the quality. The portion sizes were good! I would see myself coming back or ordering takeout from here.

Yelp
As soon as you walk in you have to go to the second floor where there is a bar while waiting for your table. We asked to be seated near the window which was granted. First time I ever tasted a bombay appetizer! Just when you view their menu from their website, you will see the list. This one is fried potatoes with peas and tamarind chutney and it is served cold. It's good! Chicken Biryani we asked for regular spice. It was still a little spicy but it was delicious! Goat Curry is sooo good and tender but it is also spicy for me. Chicken Tandoori and garlic naan is always good every time I go to any Indian restaurant. So if you don't like spicy food let them know no spice at all. They seemed to have only one server that took the order-- I asked what was the name of the drink in the picture on the menu and he said it was just for a photo shoot. They don't serve this drink----this is the downside: the service was so slow.. Fellow yelpers if you checked in and got a free drink they only give it to you if you order online. Their view was nice and the actual table settings. Parking- we parked in a structure and we had to pay ahead and reserve a space to make sure we have a pot near the restaurant.

Yelp
The fish curry here was absolutely incredible. Even if you don't like fish or don't like curry or aren't even hungry, I think you'd like it. They said it was the chef special and I completely see why. We also tried the assorted appetizers which were okay but not a must have. I liked the decor and the service was very nice, but would really just be going back for fish curry.

Yelp
Indian Garden is one of my go-to spots for comforting, flavorful Indian food. Whether you're craving rich, creamy curries or perfectly baked naan, this place delivers on all fronts. Having grown up in India, I have really high standards for Indian food but this place is great!! What I Love : Paneer Dishes - Whether it's Paneer Tikka Masala, or Kadai Paneer, every dish is packed with flavor and so satisfying. I think the paneer could be softer but that's my feedback for every place! Their gravies are beautifully spiced and rich without being overly heavy. Jaipuri Aloo - An absolute must-try! Perfectly cooked potatoes with just the right balance of spices and heat--fragrant, flavorful, and such a comforting dish. Naan - Soft, fluffy, and the perfect accompaniment to soak up all that delicious curry. Garlic naan is my personal favorite, but you can't go wrong with any of their varieties. Chai - Warm, spiced, and so authentic! The perfect way to start or end your meal. Why I Keep Coming Back: Authentic, well-balanced flavors - Not overly greasy or heavy, just perfectly spiced, rich, and flavorful. Great portions & reasonable prices - You get a lot of food for what you pay! Cozy, casual atmosphere - A great spot for a relaxed dinner or takeout. If you love delicious, well-made Indian food, India Garden is absolutely worth a visit! Highly recommend the paneer dishes and Jaipuri Aloo--pure comfort in every bite!

Yelp
Really disappointing experience from start to finish. It took ages just to have someone open the elevator for my guests, and even longer to get seated. Once we finally sat down, no one came to our table for 30 minutes -- we had to flag someone down just to place our order, and even then it took another 15 minutes. Meanwhile, other tables were getting served promptly and new guests were being attended to right away. When the food finally came, part of the order was wrong, and the dessert we ordered never even showed up. Definitely not the kind of service you'd expect -- we left frustrated and underwhelmed.

Yelp
This place has some of the loveliest, and traditional decor I've seen in an Indian restaurant in Chicago--felt like I was transported to a restaurant in India. Service was also great and food was delicious! I loved the paneer naan and the paneer pakora was so so good. I tried the IG Dhaniya paneer which was good, but I think I will get paneer makhani next time because it wasn't totally for me. If you don't like the creaminess of restaurant Indian sabzis and want something more homey, this is definitely the option for you, but I would personally get another dish next time! Other than that, I really enjoyed the food and it was a great experience!

Prabu P.

Yelp
"The restaurant's appearance is good, and the front desk staff is friendly. Other than that, there's nothing positive. The food is not good especially the butter chicken, which tastes like tomato soup. The service is very slow. The food taste and service could have been much better.

Yelp
This restaurant deserves 10 stars. My mouth is dancing. They know how to spice it up here. The restaurant dining rooms are beautiful. This restaurant deserves to be full every evening. Treat yourself!

Gary G.

Yelp
Showed up at opening. We sat at the entrance for 10 minutes. Multiple workers walked by us. I feel like I'm a person and I should be acknowledged as such, if even to say "hey, we failed to open properly but we will get around to it". Will never know. Too many other decent places in the vicinity to put up with this nonsense. Hopefully they can one day get around the wildly unexpected act of opening a restaurant for the day without leaving everyone out at the front door.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! My husband and I went here for restaurant week and it was fantastic! For the price we paid, we were given an amazing meal with phenomenal portions! We both had leftovers for the next day. The service was very nice and attentive. They were kind enough to answer any questions that we had or make sure we had everything we needed! Very excited to return at some point soon!

Yelp
I came here for a work lunch to celebrate a work anniversary and this restaurant was great to celebrate. The food is delicious with vegetarian and meat options. The naan bread was delicious! It was buttery and soft and not burnt. It's perfect to clean up your plate with the sauce. The staff was all very nice as well to accommodate our large party. The lunch buffet is great with many options that will leave you full.

Yelp
The chownow app that does this restaurant's ecommerce produced a "fraud alert" message from my bank from SXGMFN.COM. There were 2 unauthorized charges.

Yelp
The restaurant has a beautiful interior but was not impressed by the food at all. We got the papadi chaat, malai kofta, baingan bharta and really only liked the bharta. Would not come back...

Yelp
What a great spot for a lunch buffet. The ambience is excellent, as it's situated on the second floor, quietly overlooking the streets with its large windows and bright natural light. The inside, with its chandeliers and all it's decor, makes it feel classy and nice. The lunch buffet had so many food options and all were great! There are a variety of curries and meats, vegetarian options, biryani, etc. So many delicious flavors! They also had some desserts, like gulab jamun. I enjoyed the small bowls that were available to scoop curry or sauce or anything. It was convenient for the eating experience and great because the food didn't all blend together on the plate! You can order naan from the servers, who were very attentive and came frequently to refill our water and clear finished plates. I loved the food and experience and definitely recommend!

Yelp
We went there for the lunch buffet (11am -3pm) on a Sunday. We were seated right away. The service was friendly and our server even brought our daughter a balloon! The interior decor was modern Indian and looked very clean. In terms of the buffet ($23 per adult/$12 per child under 10/free for babies), they kept the vegetarian and non-vegetarian sections separate. They offered four vegetarian dishes, four non-vegetarian dishes, two desserts, one soup, some fruits and salad if I remembered correctly. I liked the chicken, goat meat and cauliflower dishes - they were flavourful and the meats were tender. They offer freshly made, unlimited naan which was a plus. Now come the areas of improvement: 1) the elevator's door was locked/ not easily accessible so we had to carry our stroller to the second floor where the restaurant is located... 2) the tables were too packed. I felt uncomfortable being so close to other guests given a good number of people were caughing during the flu season... 3) the food variety was limited. The salad and desserts could use some work. 4) the food came up too slowly so not much left after waiting in lines... Given this is a newer restaurant, I have reasons to believe it will get better over time and I look forward to coming back to try new items.

Yelp
OMG! Yesterday I had the Chana Masala Chickpea dish for lunch with the fried bread. And this evening I needed a dessert after my steak so ran in to get Ras malai since I'm staying next door. It was THE most amazing Ras malai I have ever had. And I have had many. Wonderfully authentic and delicious food here- can't wait to try more! Amazing.

Yelp
I had the most pleasant experience at this restaurant during my trip to Chicago this time. My Uber driver recommended it. And I'm so glad he did. I went on a Friday night, so there was a little wait, but worth it! Staff was friendly and attentive. I was seated and the waited on by Shiva Anil. He was attentive, accommodating and personable. He also made me a spectacular drink! His own creation. He called it "Summit Sips" as a homage to his native country and I was very honored that he made it for me! Hopefully he's there if you plan on stopping by, so you can order it too! The food was great. It felt more authentic than I've had anywhere else. The flavors and quality hit all the right taste buds! One the kind of places that makes you think about it long after you're gone. I will definitely return next time I'm in Chicago!

Yelp
This establishment is huge but unfortunately was very empty when I went. The food was good and filling although it took a long time to come to my table.

Yelp
Loving Indian food, I found this to be a very good restaurant. It had plenty of dishes I hadn't seen before so I tried something different and loved it. The service was really great, the food arrived quickly and we were never without a bottle of water at the table. The interior was beautiful, I wish I had taken some photos of it.

Yelp
Came here for lunch buffet on a Sunday. It's 11-3 and I'd recommend coming at 11-11:30 since it gets more busy obviously at noon time. Came with my date and had pretty good seating near the window. Music and ambiance was good and the service was friendly and quick. Now onto the buffet the most important part haha. I really LOVED THE FLAVORSSS! Great balance for all palates. The veg options had full of flavor that pairs well with the pulao rice. The non veg options included chicken, goat and fish. The chicken was the best in flavor, very consistent and smooth in texture--perfectly done. I'd probably have another chicken curry option in the buffet. For the price tag of $23 I'd expect more options tbh. On that note, having the classic biryani staple item is a must for buffet and I was slightly disappointed this buffet didn't have it. Nevertheless, great job on the naans!! Super crispy and buttery with a great pairing profile with most of the entrees. Overall, great buffet spot for Indians and non- Indian food palates for in the city Chicago restaurants.

Tanvir K.

Yelp
Amazing food . Authentic Indian food with exceptional service and ambiance. Things to consider : there are two flights of stairs at you need to take to get to the restaurant , although there is an elevator that you must contact the restaurant to get access to from the backside. The interior is beautiful , very friendly staff and owners who are very attentive to your needs.

Yelp
This was so tasty! I ordered it delivered to my hotel. It was one of the best meals I've had on this trip, and I almost wanted to eat it two nights in a row. Got butter chicken and saag paneer. Very great flavors.
google avatar

Michael A.

Yelp
Lunch buffet is always excellent. I come once a year when I am in town. It does not disappoint. Good variety and actual spices!

Kevin K.

Yelp
I went to Indian Garden for their Father's Day buffet. There was a wide variety of food and dessert as well as complementary mango lassi and beer. Everything was delicious. The ambiance was great with Indian music playing in the background which was not too loud. The entire dining room is richly decorated with traditional Indian decorations. The restaurant is on the second floor so it overlooks Streeterville. However, when I went to use the restroom, I found several cockroaches. I was able to kill 1 but I got out of there as soon as I could. I would give 5 stars for the food and service if not for the uncleanliness and roaches.
google avatar

Athena B.

Yelp
Super flavorful dishes all around! We got the samosas, aloo paratha, chicken murg curry, and tbe aloo gobi. The service was amazing, servers and managers checked in multiple times to see how we were doing and to make sure we were enjoying everything. The decor was also super home-y, I loved it.
google avatar

Shalmali P.

Yelp
We went for lunch buffet on a Sunday. The ambiance was really nice. The buffet had number of options - vegetarian as well as meat based options. But the overall taste was okay. The service wasn't very prompt - we had to ask the server multiple times for extra Naan and beverages menu. We finally had to ask the manager to help us since it was taking way too long. We ordered mango lassi which was not part of the buffet, but was on the regular menu. It was way too sour. Overall, not the best experience. Note - there is a steep flight of stairs that you need to climb in order to reach the restaurant.

Yelp
Sunday lunch buffet and family wanted to go. Buffet was good food was hot. They serve the naan at the table. I have been here before and it was not my favorite but decided to give it another try. Poor service once we were seated nobody came to ask if we were okay with water or we wanted something else. My husband wanted to order something off the menu and their said during the lunch buffet they only do the buffet and they don't allow a la carte. Buffet per person is 30 with tip and tax. If they paid more attention to the service the experience would definitely improve. Goat curry was great! Loved the naan. Rajma had a good homely taste to it. Tandoori chicken was great. Street parking only but you will have to look and drive around as it is a very busy area. Sorry no pictures I thought I saved it but I clearly didn't
google avatar

Prashmi K.

Yelp
Paneer makhani- 3/5 ( average, tangy, not verry sweet) Dal makhni - 2.5/5 ( did not enjoy it)
google avatar

Sanjeev M.

Yelp
Good food add good service but it was a bit too pricey for very simple dishes (like $20 for a regular portion of Dal and $5 for nan). I was just homesick for some indian so I was happy to pay for the meal.

Amina W.

Yelp
Found a shard of glass in my biryani. This is after eating most of it.. Their water was also dirty, it had things floating around in it. Disappointing lack of hygiene and quality.
google avatar

Ravi S.

Yelp
Slow service. Their Dilli chaat was horrible. Had big cubes if tomatoes and was overflowing with curd.
google avatar

Amandeep S.

Yelp
Overall horrible experience. The cashew nut were potato rolls with 0 cashew nuts. Ordered Paneer k Shoolay as the second starter which had water dripping from the gravy. Doesn't end there Dal Makhanj didn't have salt. Veg Jalfarazi was good though!
google avatar

Alaina S.

Yelp
We've been to this place a few times in the past. The food is excellent and has been whenever we've eaten there. The service can be a bit slow but it seems there are only a few servers so and they do a lot of take out orders so that could be why. The temperature in the restaurant this time was almost humid. At one point the air got turned on but after a bit we were hot again. One thing that was a bit disappointing was the small bones in my chicken korma. Some were very tiny and I had to make sure to chew carefully. The taste was very very good so it was worth the trouble. Also the rice was not too fluffy this time either. The garlic naan is always excellent. We got the Aloo Tikki chaat this time (a snack plate with potatoes soaking in a delicious chunky sauce) it was really good, maybe a tad too saucy but the flavor was spot on.

Taliyah T.

Yelp
With a great atmosphere, amazing food, and outstanding service, this restaurant goes above regular standards and creates a memorable experience. When first walking in, you will see countless pieces of Indian decor which add to the overall ambiance. I had a nice appetizer of Chicken Samosas as pictures below accompanied by an entrée of Murgh Tikka Masala.

Jerry Y.

Yelp
For an Indian buffet the selections were quite small. No fruits or desserts were included. Quite disappointing and would not return.
google avatar

Neelam B.

Yelp
Ambiance: amazing ambiance. The whole setup and decor and furniture was fully traditional. I loved the first look of this place. Loved how our welcome was done. We are a party of 8 and the table they seated was little small for 8 people. We ordered drinks to begin with. One of the drinks we ordered was Nimboo pani and in description it was said it is made in house. But when it was served, it was market lemonade. We had to ask them to make the nimboo pani and not give pre made lemonade, which was much better. The food was good. We had guests from Michigan and they also loved the food. We ordered a lot of dishes - samosas, tikki, vegetarian biryani, shrimp biryani, chicken curry, Kadhai paneer, aalo gobhi, Kashmiri aalo and baskets of breads. In dessert, we ordered Gulab Jamun and kheer, it was good experience overall. The place had gender specific restrooms.

Yelp
I went for the lunch buffet on Sunday ($20/person) and the food was awesome! I got Tandoori Chicken, Murgh Chicken, Saag Paneer, Biryani Rice, Chicken Biryani and more. My personal favorite was the Murgh Chicken and Saag Paneer. Also, they give you a basket of free naan (?) bread. There was a good amount of options and the food was all very hot. The service was great, everybody was so kind! I would highly recommend this place if you're ready to chow down on some good Indian food.

Yelp
Ordered Indian take-out and let's just preface the experience saying, I am of Indian origin myself so for me to say great things about Indian take-out, it's got to hit a high note. I ordered the Bhel Puri, Tandoori Roti, Lachcha Paratha, and the Murgh Tikka Masala. The portions were great, but the flavor and spice in the Murgh Tikka Masala was a little dialed down. I love my curries to be very aromatic and have a kick to it which is why this order was only satisfactory. The Bhel Puri however was great in size and crispness. The tamarind chutney and mint chutney came on the side which helped preserve the freshness and crispness which was well thought out. The mint chutney had a good kick which I respect and the tamarind chutney the right sweet and sourness. Would've liked the chutneys to be more in portion and maybe also a yogurt dressing on the side could be a good addition. The breads however were a little tough and thick. Can give them the benefit of the doubt to them due to the delivery time and cold weather in which it was delivered. I'm sure the experience would've been a lot better in person. I will definitely re-visit and I can see them going from a 3-star for me to higher should the spice levels be amped up and th breads be more tender and pillow-y.

Yelp
very yummy indian food! super cute vibe, well decorated. not very spicy for an indian place, but still tasty.

Yelp
The food here is fantastic! Ambiance and service are great as well. Second time here and was just as excellent as the first.

Yelp
Excellent customer service! I called in for a group of 20, and they were able to accommodate us in just a few minutes. Very peaceful and cozy ambience. HUGE menu, lots of options to choose from. The butter chicken and tandoori chicken were great! We also ordered biryani, goat/lamb curry, daal, and tikka masala. Everything tasted very authentic. Naan was fresh and warm. I highly recommend this place if you're craving Indian food in Chicago. 10/10!! One of the best Indian restaurants I've been to overall.

Yelp
Tonight was absolutely the last straw with this place. We live a few blocks away and used to be regulars but two years ago they gave us some fish tika filled with spinal bones and almost no edible meat. We hadn't ordered from there since then but tonight wanted to just get a couple orders of naan to go with some food we were making ourselves (figured that was pretty safe). I don't know if that offended them or what but I waited in their seating area at least 35 minutes for two orders of naan and one appetizer. They never called me and when I finally walked up to the hostess after 35-40 minutes (I have the receipts with timestamps) they gave me my bag of cold food. Never again. They could see me sitting there by their bar. They didn't even apologize, had the nerve to tell me to have a good night.

Yelp
What a great place! My friend and I shared our birthday lunch at this wonderful Indian restaurant. The service was exceptional. They even took a birthday picture for us. When we made a reservation, we were not aware that the lunch would be a buffet. They had plexiglass shields and everyone wore their masks when they went up to get their food. It was such a nice way to try a variety of food items. One dish was better than the next! I would specify my favorites, however I cannot remember the name of them. I cannot have gluten, but my friend said the naan bread was very good. Love the ambience and decor in the restaurant. I would definitely recommend the Indian Garden!

Yelp
We like this place a lot. We, too, have been coming here for lunch for many years on getaway weekends, and today one of the men recognized us. Everyone chatted with us for a few minutes. The $23 lunch buffet has vegetarian on one side and meats on the other. Today the meats were chicken, goat curry and shrimp. Everything was delicious. I liked the spinach dish and the lentil dish, which has some hot spice to it. Nan is always included. Today's dessert was similar to fruit cocktail with a creamy coconut sauce. Yum. I asked for coffee. It may have been specially made for me, and hit the spot! Before the pandemic we brought my cousin who's a vegetarian. He raved about the variety of good dishes. Note that this restaurant is on the second floor. There is no elevator. Families with two strollers came up the stairs. Seeing that you know the food is Indian fresh!
