The 8 Best Restaurants In Bethnal Green

"E Pellicci is probably Bethnal Green Road’s most famous eating landmark, but Indian Masala next door deserves just as much attention. A portion of homemade house chicken curry with rice from this caff-like Bangladeshi restaurant is reasonable in cost and generous in flavour. The meat, moist and off the bone, is covered in sauce which is heavy with cardamom and curry leaves. Alternatively you can get a couple of vegetable curries. Don’t ignore the enormous tray of homemade bhajis and pastries on the counter either." - jake missing, tome morrissy swan

The Best-Value Cheap Restaurants In East London - London - The Infatuation

"E. Pellicci is probably Bethnal Green Road’s most famous eating landmark, but Indian Masala next door deserves just as much attention. A portion of homemade house ‘chicken curry’ with rice from this low-key Bangladeshi restaurant is reasonable in cost and generous in flavour. The meat, moist and off the bone, is covered in sauce heavy with cardamom and curry leaves, and it’s a solid meal to have in or takeaway. Alternatively you can get a couple of vegetable curries instead. The only problem? Resisting the enormous tray of homemade bhajis and pastries as you order. " - Team Infatuation

What To Order When You’re Having A Wobble Day

"Comfort order: Chicken curry and rice. Our favourite way to manage a wobble day is to wobble absolutely everything into our mouth via spoon from either on top of or under our duvet. The spoon is an important detail. Because not only is it the king or queen of cutlery, but because not every order allows such seamless horizontal self-feeding. But Indian Masala clearly get it. With their perfectly packed Tupperwares, their tender chicken curry, and their soft and spiced aloo gobi, this Bangladeshi spot is what you want when you don’t know what’s what." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing

This place is the perfect spot for cheap and convenient veg eats in the area! I don’t eat rice so they easily accommodated by switching the rice out for a green salad! the saag and the dal were perfectly prepared. nice and filling! ali gave me and my friends free vegetable pakora as a departure gift. i will be back!

If you like original home style cooking then this is the place. This reminds me of the village style cooking in Bangladesh, Pakistan and India. This is the place if you want real Indian food. The food you get here you won't find in your local traditional Indian restaurant in Britain. Every dish I tried here is flavoursome. And reasonably priced. Highly recommended!
