I was excited about this place, because I love Indian food, unfortunately it was disappointing, cold food, very spicy, the grill chicken has a peculiar smell and taste. They served us a naam bread that was old, cold and hard. Their plates was not clean, there was old food or something stuck to the plate, same as the utensils. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this place.

From the very friendly staff, to the wonderful decor, this is a great place for a meal of the senses. Great attitudes and smiles all around, everyone here seems to really enjoy hospitality. There is a buffet for lunch during the week and Saturdays I think. Will have to go back for that. Everything is prepared and cooked very well. I am excited for the leftovers!

We ordered goat curry, butter chicken, and mixed veg, and honestly everything was super tasty and full of flavor. The food was served so nicely and with respect, which made the experience even better. We also tried the appetizers—tandoori chicken and paneer tikka—and they were just amazing, so delicious. The customer service was really nice, everyone was polite and welcoming. The place itself is neat, clean, and well maintained, which makes you feel comfortable while eating. Overall, we had a really good time here and would definitely recommend this spot if you’re looking for fresh, tasty Indian food. Can’t wait to come back and try some more dishes!

Came here for dinner during the week while in the East Hollywood area. It was a last minute dinner with about 15 guests, but they accommodated us no problem. They put together several tables and immediately had us seated. Service was top notch. We ordered many different dishes at various spice levels since we ate family style and had varying tolerances for heat. Portions were great for sharing and the spice levels were as ordered. I personally preferred more heat, but didn't want anything to be too hot for anyone. Dishes were freshly made and flavorful. Will come back here for Indian food when visiting Hollywood.

I've dined at this restaurant numerous times, and each visit has been a genuine pleasure! I especially appreciate the variety of the vegetarian options, which are so plentiful that I always find something new and exciting to try. The food is consistently well-seasoned, and they def understand spice – a definite plus for those who enjoy spicy food, but good to note for those who can’t handle it, choose mild, still super flavorful c: In addition to the wonderful food, the staff has always been kind and attentive, enhancing the overall dining experience, it also a great option for takeout. Finally, I'm consistently impressed by the generous serving sizes and reasonable pricing, which almost always guarantee delicious leftovers.

Amazing restaurant. We have visited this place twice. Naan was perfect soft and buttery. All of the veggies we tried were delicious, they even adjusted the spice level as per our request. Service was quick, staff is also welcoming and friendly.

If you r ever looking for a good place for Indian food? This place is great, it’s clean and also the bathroom is modern and clean. And the staff is amazing, and very friendly. The best thing is the food is fresh and amazing! And they have so much regulars and they’re all really friendly

Everything we tried was delicious. We ordered all vegetarian dishes, and our favorites were Saag Tofu, Aloo Ghobi, Mixed Vegetables, Tofu Masala and Vegetable Samosas. We ordered medium spice and it was still quite spicy (in a good way).

Restaurant was empty when we walked in. Indian music playing slightly too loud. - Mango Lassi 3.8/5 Tasted like a mango smoothie. Wasn't too cold though. - Appetizer Sampler 0.8/5 Four different items, all deep fried. The best out of the four was the fish. Not worth. [AVOID] - Chicken Tikka Masala 2.9/5 The chicken was VERY dry. The sauce was delicious. Spicy was spicy. Chicken ruined the dish. - Green Coconut Curry 2.5/5 Had really good flavors, but the chicken was also VERY dry. Free parking in tiny lot.

Three of us came to try the buffet on a Saturday afternoon after a Griffith hike nearby~ Favorites were the goat curry, lamb keema curry, shahi paneer (tasted like butter chicken curry with cubes of cheese), and saag paneer. Bro and hubby thought the samosas were really good since the potatoes filling was blended well and creamy. The garlic naan was kind of dry though. Meal also came with a drink - we tried chai tea and champagne. Overall, a great buffet experience for $20 per person.

Great deal, I always love an Indian lunch buffet. It was fine enough. I'm not super picky about Indian food, usually am quite happy. That being said, there are many other places around town where I have had better Indian. The Tandoori chicken and Tikka Masala were good enough. I didn't love the naan. Too thin and was fairly tasteless, not that I ever expect it to be packed with flavor, this was particularly bland. I couldn't eat the lamb curry either, way too gamey. It's a big open room which is nice. Again if you are looking for a lot of food for cheap, the lunch buffet is a win. I might go back to try the other options, the veg curries looked pretty good. Service was on the surly side, oh well.

This place is AMAZING for both take out and dining in! Delicious food, big portions, and lovely service. My friend and I came right after pilates and ordered a bunch to share. Our server made us laugh a bunch. Highly recommend the mixed veggie veggie curry and channa masala. My friend got the chicken tikka rice and sag paneer. We ate a lot and still have leftovers. I love it here!

For Ladies' Night on Friday, my friend chose India's Restaurant. At 6:30pm, the parking lot was full, so we found street parking nearby. At this time, the restaurant wasn't too busy, so we were able to get a booth. The staff was attentive, quick, and friendly. The ambiance was classy, yet casual and cozy with the dim lighting. We ordered a variety of items to share. My faves were the Mango Lassi, Matar Paneer, and Garlic Naan. The Mango Lassi was thick, sweet, and refreshing. The mild Matar Paneer was aromatic and creamy with a hint of spice. The fragrant and lightly-toasted Garlic Naan was good as is, but also made a great vehicle for the Matar Paneer. Before I started reviewing on Yelp, I had dined at India's Restaurant a couple of times already. I'm glad that their food's still yummy & consistent with my recent visit! I'd love to return soon!

I came back during my business trip to try their weekend buffet. I came on a Sunday and the buffet starts at 11am-4pm. I was sad the 1st time I came I missed the buffet so I'm glad I was able to try it this time. And it didn't disappoint. The restaurant was full with many patrons enjoying the buffet. They offer a great variety of meat and vegetarian options. There was tandoori chicken, chicken tikka masala and 2 lamb dishes. The vegetarian dishes included aloo gobi, Chana masala, and about 6 different dishes. All the dishes were cooked mild but certain dishes definitely had more of a spicy kick that seemed to slowly increase in a good way. A basket of garlic Naan came fresh to the table and drinks were included. I think I was also offered champagne. All this for $19.95. Food and service was so great. I will come back if I'm ever in town again.

They had Jain food here so I was able to get dal, shahi paneer, and bhindi. They serve complimentary papad & kheer (rice pudding) which was a nice touch. 4/5 spice was pretty spicy for us, but we enjoyed it (we generally eat fairly spicy). Good service & there was plenty of seating when we went Sunday night.

I have only ordered takeout from this restaurant because they always have a BOGO deal ! Food always on point with generous portion. Hope to stop by in person at one point !

I was looking for an Indian spot in the area and ended up at India's Restaurant late on a Saturday night. The restaurant was very spacious with both booths and tables to sit at. I started out with an order of both the veggie samosas and the chicken samosas. The veggie samosas were on par with other samosas I've had. I've never had chicken samosas before so I had to try them and they didn't disappoint. The chicken was very flavorful. For my entrees I ordered the shrimp biryani and chicken tikka masala. The shrimp biryani was ok, definitely could have been better. It wasn't as flavorful as I would have liked and there could have been more shrimp in it. Probably a 2.5/5 for me. The chicken tikka masala was pretty good. I had it with white rice. The chicken was very tender and flavorful and I liked how thick the sauce was. The customer service was excellent. The staff were very friendly and constantly checked to see if I needed anything.

The two person dinner set is perfect! Chicken was tender and juicy and the seasoning was just right.

You know I haven't had genuine good customer service for a while. That's the first impression when I walked into this restaurant. Food is beyond my expectations! We got mulgatani soup, Chicken Pakora, Mango Lassi, Saag Paneer, and Chicken Tikka Masala. I highly recommend the Chicken Pakora and Mango Lassi ! I am definitely coming back to support this place. Our server asked us several times if the food was okay and if we need anything. Place is clean and neat. The parking could be busy at times but there's always street parking.

Came here because it's open late. The room is spacious and service very friendly. I was the only person close to midnight on a Friday. A party of 8 arrived after followed by a couple. What i see and smelled from others' orders made me want to come back and try other dishes! The palak paneer and mango lassi i had were slightly different from what I'm used to. The palak paneer spices were slightly different and the flavor more subtle. It was good but not quite what I was expecting. The mango lassi was slightly less viscous and very smooth. I'd almost describe it as more "manufactured" texture but I liked it a lot. I look forward to trying the lunch buffet and many more dishes.

I've had this spot bookmarked for a very long time. The ambiance is nice and feels like the typical SoCal Indian restaurant. It's definitely a vibe! I ordered my favorite dish, Chicken Makhani (aka butter chicken) and it was pretty delicious. I am trying to do paleo right now so didn't have a chance to try the naan or rice. Though, I was dreaming about it! I like that the place keeps late hours. I mean, I wrapped up a night of dancing nearby with my friends at El Cid. I was hungry and this place was just about 5 minutes walking distance and hit the spot. The service was efficient, though there weren't many people in the restaurant besides me. When I left, I was the last customer. Overall, it was a very good meal and the price was right.

I have only made it here once or twice on hurried weeknight pitstops, but I have been meaning to make it back for a proper experience. Both times I've been here, the food has been exceptionally delicious, with really nice flavors. The owner/manager made some great recommendations, and we tried some new curries and dishes. The decor and ambiance are interesting; I can't tell if they are trying to be fancy and falling short or unpretentious and hitting the mark. For a place where the food is so nice, they could probably invest a bit in the restaurant and give it a more classy look and feel. The prices are good.

It was my first time visiting this restaurant & I loved it! The food was amazing! The menu was huge so many options, I really did enjoy the food & the atmosphere of the restaurant, everyone was so nice & kind. The service was amazing! They helped us out with everything & every question was answered. It was my first time trying Indian food & I really loved it! Specially the Garlic Naan! Must try tbh! I loved it! This is by far my favorite Indian food restaurant! You walk in and feel at home with fantastic service and every need met. Every single thing I have had off the menu is delicious, fresh tasting, and consistent. I especially love the naan and mango lussi here! Come here for a home and yet nice feel with delicious food all around!

Take out here is always great but the dine-in experience can't be beat. Everyone who works here is so kind, the smiles are contagious. They have plenty of vegan options and will even tweak some things to be vegan if they can. Last time they gave me a free dessert, which was lovely. So good. I always leave full and happy.

Indias restaurant is abundance, I go here when I need a meal to heal my soul. Best Indian food in LA by far. I've tried other places but nothing compares !! The waiters are so friendly too! Also the art in this restaurant is beautiful. I will miss it so much when I move out of LA

We came for their weekend buffet. It's $20 a person which includes soft drinks, ice tea and champagne! I loved EVERYTHING I tried. Even the salad was good. Warning, if you are a baby like me when it comes to spicy, the food does have a kick. I was crying but still worth it. My only complaint is they were very slow to refill our drinks. We only got one refill in.

I've been to India's restaurant twice now with my family. Both times, we got the lunch buffet. The fresh garlic naan and complementary soft drink are appreciated. Most of the buffet offerings are tasty and there is a good variety to choose from, even for vegetarians. The tandoori chicken was very dry the first time, but the second time it was good. So maybe get there at the beginning of lunch hours rather than towards the end of it? Overall, the service, food and value are all good and we will definitely continue to come back whenever we crave an Indian buffet.

Delicious!! I've been here a couple times and the food is always so tasty! The mango lassi is to die for, has to be one of the best I've tried. The service is very quick and kind. The ambiance is nice. I highly recommended, everything I've had from here tastes so good! I also got the express dinner and my friend and I shared it, it was such a huge portion!

Went here for lunch buffet the other day. It's a great place for Indian lunch buffet-- tasty food at only $20 for all you can eat. I particularly enjoyed the lamb curry and the garlic naan (which is unlimited). The servers are also friendly which is a nice bonus.

Came on a rainy Saturday, with a hankering for Indian. This place exceeded expectations. Staff was super attentive and kind! Buffet during lunch and comes with free drink (wine, champagne, or soda - the white wine wasn't bad) = $20 pp The interior is pretty nice. Lots of booths and seatings for large parties. The food is amazing. They had salad, rice, chicken tiki masala, lentils, beans, all of the basics. The only thing is that it's catered to everyone so not spicy at all, but all of the dishes were still super delicious and flavorful. Buffet was great so I can eat all of the different dishes. Their naan(endless) is fresh and served to your table. Highly recommend, esp when you want to eat all of the Indian dishes in one seating. P.s. parking is a small lot, and there's street meters

2024.07.22 Thursday 12pm party of 3 Small lot with street parking available. Quickly greeted and seated. Buffet has good selection of 14-16 main items. Spice heat is present although at low level. If you prefer no spice, sample items before getting a full serving to ensure you will be able to enjoy. Table naan is refillable and is not plain but has various seasoning on top. Staff left a pitcher of ice water for us which I appreciated! I always get a small bowl of tamarind sauce which is purplish and sweet and a lovely accompaniment to any of the dishes especially samosas and pakoras. Threw down some basmati, got a samosa and went straight to the lamb curry and saag to start. Enjoyed paneer shahki, dal mahkni, lamb keema. Closed with fruit pudding which is cocktail fruit in a mango pudding. Three of us ate well and were very pleased. Thanks so much, happy to return again soon!

Unfortunately I will no longer be a customer. Their chicken masala is terribly bland and their chicken tika is bland and dry. The naan is bad too. Season your food!!!!

The WEEKDAY LUNCH BUFFET is really good for $17.95, free Naan. The Chicken Tikka Masala, Saag and Samosa were really good. However, the chicken was a little dry. The Chicken Tandoori was good flavor wise but I wish it was hotter. Everything flavor wise was on point. The place was clean. Quality for that price was fair. Service was minimal interaction.

I've been ordering from here for years but always takeout or delivery. I sat in the other day and the food was not nearly as good. The service was pretty low quality as well. I know the food is usually better so I still give them five stars. I'm stick to takeout though.

Ate here bc my friend was in town and wanted inexpensive but good food. She loves indian food and I'd been craving it so she chose India's Restaurant for the brunch buffet. Good food + drink for a great deal($20), vegan & vegetarian options, fresh salad and samosas, 2 dessert options, nice staff, & they have a small parking lot they share with a couple other businesses. Two and half plates for me to fill me up! Kudos to my friend for this excellent choice. My first time here but not my last. I will be back.

I order food last night. I specified mild spicy. It came on time and I thought great .. cause I was starving.. but the Chana masala was too spicy.. I couldn't eat it. call the restaurant and they replace it. It came in 15 minutes but still too spicy.. Had to throw the food away.. Don't recommend this places

This is the place where I get my Indian buffet fixed. All the food are the same quality as the last time we had in 2019. The service is very satisfying. They always have the chicken tikka masala in their buffet which is so generous. The lunch buffet is $17.95 per person as of today which is very affordable and the best valued. They also put on Indian traditional music that make the ambiance and our meal very pleasant. We will be back again for sure. Parking are available in the lot but most of the time is full.

Came in late on a Sunday afternoon thinking we were too late for the buffet but learned it goes until 4pm! Which is a game changer compared to seeing 3pm online. This place is great compared to some other Indian restaurants that I've been to price and quality wise. The staff is friendly and attentive, always ensuring we had enough naan. One even asked what a member of my parties tattoo was and had a great kick out of it, too. The food on the buffet had some heat to it, which I consider pretty mild, but with enough, your mouth would get a little tingly in a good way. It's also a great way to try new menu items for those unfamiliar to Indian foods.

Curry was really good. Very tasty and buttery. Meat is chewy and soft to dissolve in your mouth. Salad was fresh but the only thing was the stale rice. Tasted crispy. Also for the price of $20 they offered a lot of food for buffet. They also had dessert section of two different kinds along with the free naan, which by the way was so fresh out of oven and doughy. Service was friendly and ambiance was a casual ding with lots of decorations. I would come back again!

Came here for dinner on a Friday night and there was no wait. We ordered the chicken samosas, the goat vindaloo and the chicken curry w bell peppers (forget the name) Samosas were alright but both curries were really good. Only complaint is that the portions of meat were a little small for the price. Would want to come back and try some other items.

India's Restaurant is my favorite local Indian restaurant located in the mini-mall next to The Kitchen. This establishment primarily serves Northern Indian cuisine with a large number of dishes that are very popular in the UK and the US. You will plenty of popular appetizers such as samosas and pakoras. Mild curries, such as the creamy Chicken or Vegetarian Korma; spicier classics like Lamb or Goat Vindaloo and sweet and creamy deserts like Indian Rice pudding (Keer/Kheer). Like most South Asian restaurants, India's Restaurant caters to a variety of diets. It has a large selection of filling and delightful vegetarian foods. And all the meat used in their dishes is Halal, and thus suitable for those that follow Islamic dietary rules. While I'm happy to order a nice combination of mild Chicken Korma and somewhat spicier Lamb Vindaloo with Naan (South Asian flat bread), I would rather, in almost all cases, go to the daily Lunch Buffet. Served between 11am and 3pm during the week. Why? Because for just 18 dollars you can sample most of their menu of curries, rice dishes (biryani), breads and desserts (my personal favorite being Gulab Jamun, deep-fried balls of deliciousness soaked in a rose-flavored syrup.) It's a perfect combination of food for vegetarians and omnivores, with a great range of flavors and a number of condiments to enhance the already flavorful dishes. (Side note: this a great place to bring kids who are adverse to vegetables. Saag Paneer (spinach and cheese curry) is a great intro to greens for suspicious children.) While the restaurant is fairly plain, especially in comparison to other Indian/South Asian restaurants, it's definitively comfortable and good for larger groups and family dining. Since, as I wrote earlier, I'm mostly here for the buffet, I don't have that much interaction with the wait staff. However, they are very quick to clear away dirty trays, refill beverages and generally be helpful. So, please visit, DEFINITELY check out the buffet and have a great dining experience. Highly recommended.

Service was great even when it was late at night. Clean tables and quick service. Lowlight and welcoming ambiance. Food is extremely good no matter what you order. Ordered egg plant dish, saag aloo, chicken curry, naan & they were all so good. Not too sweet. Spice was perfect for me at medium so if you choose hot expect it to be very hot.

i don't understand the good reviews . just ordered the chicken makhni. it was terrible . super salty . the chicken was inedible, had a very strange after taste , maybe even gone bad . super rubbery , over all not edible . quite gross . super disappointing .

The food was delicious - I had lamb korma and butter chicken (both mild!) Loved the complimentary rice pudding. Service was very attentive and I was asked if I wanted it to be spicier and I got to try Indian hot sauce. The owner is a super friendly cordial man and he recognized me the second time I came! I've also been here for the lunch buffet on the weekend and it's super tasty!!! Had leftovers for another meal, would highly recommend. The bathrooms are clean and spacious, they also have a parking lot. Can't wait to try some more delicious curries next time!

I ordered in on a weekend night and really enjoyed their food! Got my usual classics - one chicken tikka masala and one saag paneer (cheese with spinach). Got them with brown rice and garlic naan. The masala gravy is so smooth and flavorful. The chicken was juicy and tasted fresh. I love to use the naan like sandwich bread, wrap it around a piece of chicken, and dip it into the masala sauce. The saag paneer hit the spot too. Hoping to visit in person soon for the full experience.

Don't be daunted by the outside. With the blue garbage cans in plain view along the Fountain Ave side The inside has a casual graciousness with beautiful artwork...the dining area is spacious...open seating... with both booths and tables. Service is welcoming friendly with nicely-timed unsolicited check-ins for drink refills. Lovely service. We did the buffet. It's not the most bountiful buffet I've ever seen, not an over-welcoming feast for the eyes, and the labelling isn't the clearest...but what's there is delicious...and not too spicy. My companions and I have both been to India...the cuisines there are so varied region to region...we agreed this place was The best we've tasted since. Also bec we can't do heat, nothing was too spicy... We agreed we loved the following; The saag (spinach and paneer)!! the chicken tikka masala ...omg that sauce was da bomb!! The tandoori chicken, great color and flavor, easy off the bone with a fork, never had to pick up with fingers. The naan...omg the naan, also da bomb...comes hot from the kitchen delivered by the server. i hated leaving even one naan behind, really superior naan. Some suggestions: I wish they didnt stretch the papadums by breaking them into quarters bec piling my plate with them obscured the vision of the lovely rice with the even lovelier tikka marsala...papadums tho, good...potato samosa, okay, but big and nicely formed triangle, but a little too past golden, kinda on dark side...but fine, at least not greasy. My companions loved the lamb dish too. The chutneys were visually unappealing, but tasted great, especially the tamarind... I took away a star bec in the two hours we brunched/lunched there, only the tandoori chicken had been replenished and when I went to get a small 3rd helping of marsala, there was just sauce in the metal container...good thing i totally loved that sauce...tasted and looked more like a creamy korma sauce...so I enjoyed more sauce on the basmati rice, since all the chicken was gone by 1 pm. P.s. This place was a destination for us, we drove all the way from the SGV to eat here. Very happy birthday dining experience on a drizzly Monday. P.s.s they have a champagne brunch buffet...we gotta return. Prices inexpensive. Metered parking on Fountain...and free mini-mall parking.

This is our go-to place for Indian food for years. The staff is incredibly friendly. Lamb, paneer, and kheer are amazing here. Lunch buffet is $17 per person Monday to Friday 11AM-3PM. There is champagne brunch buffet on Saturday and Sunday.
