The Newest Restaurants In Philadelphia - Philadelphia - The Infatuation

"Indo Spice Restaurant in West Passyunk has an Indonesian food lineup of satay, spring rolls, whole fish rice platters, and coconut banana rice for dessert. Open from 11am-9pm, it can work for a beef soup and jasmine tea on a rainy morning or a deep-fried tilapia with a bunch of friends for dinner." - candis mclean, alison kessler

Best New Restaurants in Philly Right Now | Eater Philly

"Philadelphia is blessed with a fairly robust selection of Indonesian restaurants, but Indo Spice represents the first spot focused exclusively on food from the island of Sulawesi. Chef Benny Pangalila serves dishes from his home, including fried corn fritters, whole fried fish, salted fish fried rice, and more." - Maddy Sweitzer-Lamme

The whole place was clean and nicely decorated, the waiters were extremely nice and attentive. Me and my friends tried a few different dishes .. even ones I didnt get to take a picture of.. everything was delicious, affordable, and everything came out pretty quickly and hot.. then again it was my friends and one other table . Definitely would come again to try the rest of the menu

This was a delicious experience. I got the stuffed tofu appetizer, pork skewers, and the red fried rice and all were INCREDIBLE. Especially recommend the stuffed tofu. Beware of the spicy entrees (delicious but VERY SPICY). The service is also very friendly!!

Best Indonesian restaurant I've ever been in the State by far. We ordered Mini Beef Meatballs 911 (love the sambal), Fried Beef Rice Plater, Smashed Chicken Rice, they're all delicious. Good food, good service, and I love the interior of the restaurant. If only we don't have to drive 3 hrs to get here, we'd be sure coming back every other week. Sukses selalu ya!🫶

Wonderful establishment. Very nice decor inside. Got the salted fish fried rice and smashed chicken rice dish. Both were excellent. Get spicy on the side if you can't handle spicy. Food was excellent and very tasty.

Indeed the best Indonesian Restaurant in Philadelphia!! My family keeps coming back here. not just for the food, but for the authentic flavors, bold spices, and warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff is always friendly and attentive, making every visit comfortable and memorable. I personally never skip the U.P. Noodle..it’s hands-down the best I’ve had, packed with flavor and perfectly cooked every time. If you’re looking for a cozy spot that serves real Indonesian comfort food, this is the place. Consistent, delicious, and full of heart.

Run to Indo Spice immediately! The service here is top notch. Super friendly staff who will walk you through the menu and answer and questions you may have. The food is amazing as well! Full of flavor and spice. My dish came with a side of chicken soup and it's the most flavorful soup I've ever had. The noodles were perfectly bouncy as well. My wife had the smashed chicken rice. The chicken fried perfectly and the sambal was spicy but flavorful as well.

Genuinely some of the most delicious food I’ve ever had and I am always trying new places. The staff were extremely kind and the food was so flavorful. I typically end up with leftovers when I go out, but it was so good we cleared our plates.

Ordered scallion pancakes (to die for good) and 3 soups, 2 of which were exceptional, and one which was good but not great. Got tea and grass jelly drink and passion fruit drink. All was good. Service was pretty fast even though it was busy. Food came out quickly, like 10 min max for the appetizer, and 10 more for the entrees.

Yelp
Another Indonesia spot in South Philly you need to try! They're serving up unique Indonesian dishes you won't find at other Indonesian restaurants, and the prices are just right for their portions. Some of my favorites: - Mini Beef Meatballs - U.P Noodle (the red pork is so good) - Taliwang Chicken Rice Platter - Tempong Rice Platter . The restaurant is beautifully designed with aesthetic touches that highlight Indonesian culture . The place is a bit small, so it may not be ideal for large groups. It does get pretty busy on weekends, but the line moves quickly! Just be patient and kind to the staff. Don't let your hunger turn into anger and ruin the experience.

Yelp
Restaurant was full when I came on Saturday at 1:30. A lot of menu items were sold out. Very disappointing. Mie up: noodle soup with pork: good broth but too much noodles compared to the amount of protein in one portion. It's ok. It has two small fried wontons and sweet chasiu pork Ketoprak: rice cake with rice noodles, tofu, smothered with peanut sauce. Highly recommend. Beautiful interior although outside it looks like a mediocre restaurant. The inside looks upscale with Indonesian themed paintings.
