Our experience was really incredible! The ambiance was lovely and relaxing! The food was delicious! We had the orange chicken, crispy tofu (my favorite), drunken noodles with tofu, and a Thai tea! Highly recommend all of these dishes! Staff was super friendly. Makayla was so kind and provided amazing service. I will be back!

We had a great dinner here last night! The food was excellent we tried the Drunken Noodles, Chicken Curry, Lettuce Wraps, Spring Rolls, and Rice all fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The draft beers were a great deal, and I’ll definitely be back for happy hour with $6 microbrews. It was surprising to see the restaurant so quiet, maybe because of Halloween, the weather, or just the time we ate. I hope it’s not a sign of a trend local restaurants like this really deserve our support. Delicious food, friendly service, and great value. Highly recommend!

Had a great time with friends the server was all over the place toward the end of the meal. It did get really busy though, stuff happens. The pricing is crazy good for the meal. Definate place i will go to and enjoy again. Not the best location but had gorgeous views.

I've been wanting to visit this place for some time since moving to Washington. I finally had a chance to bring my family over for dinner this evening. Unfortunately this first visit was quite the disappointment. I'll start by saying the food quality, price and atmosphere were all great. Between all of us we had Lovers Fried Rice, Honey Prawns, and the yin yang ahi. All the food was superb, cooked and seasoned properly. Second, I love the atmosphere. The asian inspired woodwork and the water fountain/pond in the dining area was beautiful to look at and created a tranquil, calming seeing. What really dragged everything down was the service or rather the lack thereof. The server never refilled any of our drinks including water. It was never asked of us if we wanted more. When the food was delivered, one of the individuals in my party asked for some more sauce for their meal. Our server never returned after that except to deliver the check. The server passed our table several times but never stopped to check in. I'm not sure if they were being rushed but in any instance, it's either a training issue or a management failure. When we finished our dinner, we were still waiting for our server to come back in hopes to get dessert however our server brought a box for what we didn't finish and the check. They did not even ask if we wanted anything else. I wanted to give Indochine some more of my business because of the food but it was not meant to be this evening. The saving grace of this visit was the food. Hopefully I'll be back in some time for a better experience.

I just tried the Toasted Sesame Wraps and honestly, I can’t stop thinking about them! From the moment the plate arrived, I knew this was going to be special. The presentation alone was stunning — golden, flaky wraps arranged neatly with a generous portion of sesame-glazed stir-fry that immediately filled the air with a warm, nutty aroma. The little sprinkle of sesame seeds on top was such a simple touch, but it made the dish look so inviting. The wraps themselves were incredible. Perfectly toasted, crisp on the outside but soft and tender once you bite into them. They weren’t greasy at all, which I really appreciated, as it allowed me to focus on the filling. And the filling was packed with flavor — tender pieces of meat coated in a rich sauce that had just the right balance of sweetness, spice, and umami. Every bite had a little kick of heat that lingered, but it was smoothed out by the deep, roasted sesame flavor. I also loved how well-seasoned everything was; not too salty, not too heavy — just right. What really impressed me was how well everything came together. Wrapping the saucy filling inside those flaky wraps was like combining the best of two worlds — crispy, chewy, and saucy all at once. It felt hearty without being overwhelming, and honestly, I could’ve eaten the entire plate myself without sharing (though it’s definitely perfect for sharing, too). To top it off, the whole experience felt cozy and memorable. Eating these wraps next to the fire made it even better — warm food, warm atmosphere, and just pure comfort in every bite.

Had their food delivered to me via Doordash. Orange chicken portion and taste was good. Fresh spring rolls are good. My issue is, this is the 2nd time ordering their Jungle Curry and both times it was only half full. As well they didn't send the requested utensils.

Beautiful interior. Peaceful. Relaxing. Excellent table side service. Food was incredible...have the mango fried rice! I will be back often. If you don't stop here while you're in Tacoma you are definitely missing out!

I understand that this place has new ownership and the quality of the food was quite different and better beforehand. I had a dinner at this establishment and while the wait staff was excellent, the food quality and wait time was deplorable. Most of the food items were pre-packaged and premade—these were not fresh ingredients. Think Panda Express right before they close—burnt and stale. I’m beyond disappointed that excellent service and a great atmosphere was ruined by disrespectful food.

We visited on Christmas Eve and while service was a little slow (understandable, with the holiday) the servers were very attentive and friendly and the food was amazing! My wife and I shared the Thai Lettuce Wraps, Toasted Sesame Wraps, and the Lantern Street Noodles with chicken. I'm a big fan of Thai cuisine and everything stood about as some of best I've tried. We're looking forward to going back to try more of the menu!

I used to LOVE indochine, starting with their tiny cafe in federal way! It's been years since I've been, mostly because there were inconsistencies that last few times I'd gone... Went again last night and what a bummer - I got my go-to items and they're totally different. Not bad! Just not the same... Too salty and garlicky for my liking but to someone who doesn't know what the OG meals tasted like, it may be fine. Sadly I don't think I'll return as I've got other Thai restaurants I prefer more but I was so hopeful :( Service was fine. Restaurant is beautiful with a good vibe.

This afternoon my family and I had lunch at your restaurant. We have been regular customers for more than 15 years and have always had positive experiences, which made today especially disappointing. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt off. There were children playing in the lobby, and a woman I assumed was the hostess appeared to be watching them. As we were led to our table, we passed several tables that still had food and dirty dishes on them. Our own table was not clean when we were seated. Our server seemed annoyed from the start and not very welcoming. A different employee wearing blue rubber gloves brought our drinks, which felt unusual and unprofessional. While the food itself was still decent, it was not up to the quality we are used to, and the portions were noticeably smaller than what we've received here in the past. After our meals were delivered, no one checked on us, refilled our water or sodas, or asked if we needed anything. Looking around the restaurant, I noticed at least four other tables that still had dirty dishes sitting on them. Even the pond, which used to be a nice feature, had dirty spoons and trash floating in it. When we were finished, we had to ask for the bill, which took a long time to arrive. As we were leaving, several people who appeared to be employees were eating their lunch in the lobby area. This did not feel sanitary or professional for a restaurant with such a strong reputation and so many positive reviews. I'm not sure what has changed, but I hope this feedback is helpful. This restaurant has been a favorite of ours for many years, and we truly hope it returns to the level of service, portion size, and atmosphere it once had.

I've used the back semi-private rooms for dinner talks. In the past I have not had issues, but this most recent visit was remarkably different. 3 hosts at the front ignored me after I entered and so I stood there alone for 4-5 minutes, before I marched up to one of them to ask where my party was seated. I was pointed down the hall and to the right. It was obvious I was intended to go seat myself. I found my party, and my people said they went up to check what the delay was and had been told they were forgotten by the servers. The table and drink menus were sticky. Waters were never refilled and I was parched. Food came late. Dishes were overall tasty, my favorite was the panang chicken curry, fried rice, and crispy fish. The least favorite was the lettuce wraps, and also these came much later after the rest of the dishes were delivered. 2 stars since the food was tasty. Hosts seemed stressed. Server tried his best but he also seemed nervous.

The restaurant has a cool vibe, and the host and server were friendly. We had reservations, so we were seated right away. Our server greeted us and took our drink orders promptly. The service was great, and we got our drinks and food pretty quickly, even though the restaurant was fairly packed. However, the food was very mediocre. Thai food is one of my favorite cuisines, and having tried many Thai restaurants, everything we had was just okay. The Pad Thai and fried rice were bland, the honey walnut prawns were so breaded, I couldn't even taste the prawns, the crispy tofu had no flavor other than the sweet chilli sauce it was drenched in. The only thing I really enjoyed was the Thai Iced Tea and the coconut dessert. I'd be open to trying other menu items, but overall, I was unimpressed with the food.

We came to Indochine to celebrate Father's Day for my partner with his two boys, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is absolutely stunning--warm, inviting, and thoughtfully designed with beautiful decor that instantly sets the mood for a special meal. The food? Marvelous. Every dish was flavorful, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. From the appetizers to the entrees, each bite was a hit with the whole table (including the kids!). The staff was kind, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome throughout our visit. This was our first time here as a family, and it definitely won't be the last. If you're looking for a place with delicious Thai cuisine and a relaxing yet elegant vibe, Indochine is it. Highly recommend for both special occasions and casual nights out.

Mediocre at best for take-out and overpriced. Salmon and Mongolian beef were both very dry and over cooked. No rice included. Both dishes' so-called mix of vegetables had once piece of broccoli each with a ton of onions and some random carrots and other bits and bobs. Which vegetable is cheapest, do you think? And the piece of chocolate cake we ordered to celebrate our anniversary was so tiny it looked like they cut a slice in half. It was rich and delicious, at least, so a star there. Maybe better if you dine-in, but we won't risk it.

Such a beautiful restaurant with amazing service and beautifully plated meals! Making a reservation on Yelp was the best way to avoid the wait around dinner time. There are a variety of staple Asian items here, so it's like hitting all different restaurants in one. The dishes are quite a large portion, we were able to share bites with everyone at the table. The dishes were also good but I maybe would stick to going to a Viet place for Vermicelli Noodles and then a Thai place for PadThai, etc. It is a bit pricy but the experience is good at least once!

Table was too small for our party so we split into two groups, which wasn't ideal since we were celebrating a birthday. We were one of the last tables seated for dinner, and they ran out of white rice. I'm sorry but I cannot eat Asian food without rice. They substituted for brown or coconut rice, which was ok but not the same. I didn't like the Rangoon, the pot stickers were good, and I love the walnut prawns.

This is a staple in Tacoma. One of our go to spots. Especially for scenery and presentation. It's a very nice spot for a nice date. Indochine is under new ownership, and although it's mostly the same, I have noticed the portions are a smaller. It's not a huge deal. We still had leftovers, but it's not what it used to be. The food was all phenomenal as always. Very flavorful. My one complaint was that the phad thai was very salty. It was tasty, but I'm glad we were sharing to cleanse the palate a little. I'm assuming it was a bad night for Pad Thai so I can forgive that. Our servers were wonderful. The lady we had tonight was very sweet; the perfect server. We'll come back again.

I have lived in the Tacoma area for 11 years and never tried this restaurant. My wife and I went there for lunch with a group of 15. Normally, not open for lunch but they opened just for us. The atmosphere is dark and comfortably private. Russel B served all 15 of us quickly and accurately, separate checks and all. The menu items were all in the $15-$22 range but they were big enough to share with 2 people. Almost everyone took home a to go box. We ordered the firecracker fried spring rolls and they were very good. We got 4 large ones for $14.60. Rice is $3 extra and house wine and draft beer are only $6. The drunken beef noodles and the Panang Curry chicken were great but the star of he show was the Honey Glazed Walnut Prawns that some of our fellow diners ordered. This is one of the best Asian restaurants we have tried in the Seattle Tacoma area. We will definitely be back.

Haven't been here in a pretty long time. Wanted somewhere a little bit fancy to take my daughter for a girl's night out and Indochine was the perfect spot. We were seated right next to the water in the middle of the room, the ambiance was nice - soft lighting and warm tones. My daughter picked our dishes - chicken Phad Thai and Orange chicken, and we started with the delicious pan fried potstickers. A lot of my photos are from over the years, so it's nice to see them all posted together! Love their fancy cocktails and gelato.. was a perfect girl's night out.

we walked in, the place looked decent clean with a cute fountain in the center, which was a nice touch. That's about where the good part ended. Our server was honestly terrible. She barely acknowledged us, never once checked to see how we were doing, and didn't even offer a single refill. SMH. To top it off, she brought us glasses of water, and mine had someone else's lipstick still on it. Absolutely disgusting. I pointed it out to another staff member, who said they'd tell our server... but she straight-up ignored us. Didn't apologize. Didn't even bother to remove the dirty glass. Just left it sitting there like it was normal. Gross and disrespectful. Now to the food. The only thing we really liked was the toasted sesame chicken appetizer that was a solid 8/10. Crispy and flavorful. Everything else? Forgettable. The chicken Pad Thai was bland, barely had any sauce, and lacked flavor completely. And to make it worse, we ordered mango shrimp fried rice and they brought out chicken instead. When we mentioned it, nobody cared. No apology. No correction. Just careless. Honestly, the server's attitude and the dirty glass completely killed the vibe. Don't expect good service here they suck at it. If I ever come back (doubtful), it'll be strictly to grab that sesame chicken to go. Definitely not worth dining in.

Indochine is my go-to venue for a birthday dinner! As someone with a dairy allergy and gluten sensitivity Thai food is most often what I will choose as most things are naturally gf/df without the need for special accommodations. This place is fancy and feels like you're going someplace special as well which is fun. They also have larger tables/spaces you can reserve for a party which is why it works so well for special events. That said, while the food is good, I still find the smaller places in town tend to taste better. Of course with any fancy place it shows up in the bill - it's a little on the pricier side, but their portions are pretty huge so that's a plus! The service has always been a bit mixed for me. Sometimes great, other times it's felt as though the person wasn't paying attention (wrong items given etc.), and most recently the person waiting our table seemed very rushed and we had to order 3 separate times because they would leave after one answer without waiting to hear if we were finished. The one thing I will rave about is their cocktails! The coconut martini and the drunken Buddha were both delicious! I've also had a non-alcoholic cocktail that was incredible! All in all, 4 starts because despite some of the drawbacks, it's still my go-to for birthdays! The food is good, big portions, the drinks are amazing, and it's the perfect setting for a party.

Our group of 9 were seated in the back lounge, a little more private and quiet from the hustle and bustle of a very busy restaurant. Although our waitress was courteous and friendly, the food order service was "meeh". She forgot a couple of our dishes and after waiting quite a while and reminding her we ended up actually canceling a couple of the orders. All in all, they were quite busy and the food was absolutely delicious. The sauces were amazing and for some of us that's what really finishes the dish. Hats off to the saucier! Will guarantee return for the amazing food.

This restaurant is apparently remodeled recently and has a very pleasant ambience. The server was very friendly and only told us how "popular" each dish was rather than giving us clear recommendations when asked. The four of us shared a Crying Tiger Beef Salad, Cashew Chicken, Shaking Beef, Drunken Beef Noodles, Crispy Fish in Ginger and Basil on Fire. The salad was tasty, but many of the beef cubes in the salad were rather chewy (about 2/3 of those that I had). The Shaking Beef had the same beef cubes that also tended to be chewy, and the flavor was quite bland. The battered fish cubes in the fish dish were deep fried, and the sauce was quite sweet; even though the taste was not bad and might characterized as Americanized Chinese with a modern twist, the deep frying and "sweetening" would be a concern for people who want to control their glucose and saturated fat intake. The best of the 5 dishes were the Cashew Chicken and Drunken Noodles, both of which I would rate 4 out of 5. Overall, I enjoyed the atmosphere and conversations with friends but found the food to be so-so.

The decor and atmosphere are well put together. Service was about average, things seemed to come to the table randomly and individually so we did not enjoy or food at the same time. The food was ok. I'm not in a rush to return,

All the food was delish! They did not ask what spice level we wanted so things were a bit milder than we wanted, however service was good and the ambiance was excellent. We had gone to celebrate my birthday and the server was amicable and let us get the lemon coconut cake which was really good! The spring rolls I think were our favorite as was the rice. Very different taste and I'm happy we ordered it to try something new! Great place for date night or a special occasion, I would not say that it was the 'best' Thai food restaurant. You are paying for the ambiance and dim lighting... not really the food or service in my opinion. This was the second time I've gone there and both times service was average.

OVERPRICED for the bad quality of food. Seeing this place in the daylight is like seeing a bar couch with the lights on or a drunken pick up in the daylight. I ordered the chicken pad thai, and it was literally the worst most bland and flavorless chicken pad thai that I've ever had in my life. They put in the worst pieces of chicken in soggy noodles with no flavor and no sauce. If you can't get this basic thai restaurant staple right, then everything else is likely to be a failure. I will never go back to this overpriced monstrosity. I still can't get that disgusting taste out of my mouth.

We came here for a Christmas present exchange after Christmas and had a large group with 9 people. We snagged the fancy circular table in the corner. It looks like the seats are on the floor because the table is built into a platform. It created a little bit of difficulty with our grandpa for getting in and out but it looks so cool and is very cozy and private. The service was amazing - I wish I could remember our waiters name because he was funny and attentive. He was very aware of dietary restrictions even to the point of asking if fish sauce was okay in the pad Thai. As a vegetarian I asked if the vegan option was without the fish sauce, and he informed it was fish sauce free! The vegetarian/vegan options were clearly marked. I got the pad Thai and it was absolutely delicious. The portions were very generous. I also got a Thai tea with coconut milk (dairy free) and it was sweet and creamy and perfect.

Fantastic dinner with family at Indochine. The restaurant is downtown on Pacific, busy area, parking can be limited. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful! Dimly lit, water feature in the middle of the tables. We sat in a cozy booth that was really private and intimate. I ordered the sesame wraps for my dish, homemade flat bread with sweet chicken with garlic and cashews- delicious. My son had the orange chicken which I thought stole the show. The sauce was perfection, crispy, all white chicken. Really delicious dinner, wishing I had some leftovers.

Great water feature in the middle of the restaurant. The egg rolls and pot stickers to start were very good. The orange chicken was exceptional! There was a large piece of chicken with a fluffy coating outside. We would defiantly order this again. We also had black rice dessert which was unexpected and excellent. Yes, we will return!

The food was excellent, the ambiance is good, everyone was very friendly, and the service was great. We almost didn't come here because of some of the recent reviews and they couldn't have been further from our experience. We ordered the crab wontons, fresh spring roles, chicken pad Thai, and the drunken noodles.

This is by UW Tacoma. Parking may be difficult to find, and if you do, you may have to pay a small parking meter fee. Interior of the place is fancy and a bit dim-lit. It's a great option for an upper scale Asian Fusion restaurant for a date night. Prices are on the higher casual side, but we're in WA state so it's common that meals at restaurants like this will be $20-$30 average. The food isn't bad, but it's also food you can get at cheaper Asian restaurants. Fried rice? It's like $20-$25, which you can get for $15 somewhere else. You are paying for the ambiance of the restaurant in my opinion. The service was great though. The waiter refilled our waters and asked us how we were doing mid service. Would I come here again? As an Asian with other food restaurant options, I wouldn't choose this place unless a coworker or a friend wanted to eat here.

There were MANY TAKE OUT orders going out the door. I wonder if there are people who eat this stuff at home or a dorm room. I suppose. But this is a totally fun place to take your students or out of town friends. A bit fancy without being right in the heart of the theater district - just a few stops away. [The bar side was empty. It might be filled up and louder during the summer] Our server Keyna was awesome - talked a little about vegan / vegetarian options and gluten free options and steered us to a great dinner PARKING - Don't need it, this restaurant is a short walk from the T Line. But there is plenty of street parking available out front. SERVICE - 5 stars We came on a busy night. There were several parents and friends visiting college students. But our server and expediters were helpful and fast. The kitchen was cranking away for sure. INSIDE - 5 stars There are plenty of table around a large central pool area. The high tables are a little difficult to get into - they may have alternate seating for people with limited mobility. There are some tables in the front of the restaurant that look like they are "average floor height". Our seats were alongside the pool. The wooden benches have no backs, but are not uncomfortable for a long dinner. FOOD - 5 stars Our server recommended a couple of drinks. I wasn't so sure about the description, so she brought me a sample (it was a served in a full flight glass!). Drinks / Alcohol SEASONAL CIDER. My sample was a seasonal cider that was worth the pint. And cost the same as a regular pint at a pub. AUTUMS UP. Seasonal mixed drink. Delicious. A little expensive, but a fun holiday drink. Appetizer CRISPY TOFU. This is like all of the crispy tofu you've had before. All the good kind. It's fried well. still juicy but crunchy. And LOTS of it. But the sauce was the key. Our server gave us a special sauce that was usually on a different vegetarian app. SO GOOD. Could be a little spicier, but tasty. THE BLACK SEA. A seafood plate with black rice. My wife loved this. On a cooler night, this is EXACTLY the kind of thing that fills you up and makes you feel comfy-toasty. Gluten Free! BURMESE NOODLES / VEGAN BEEF. Get spicy. Spicy spicy. The noodles are nicely cooked... and there are a lot of noodles, but plenty of veg in here. It's a good portion too. I mean. C'mon. You had a drink. You can take an easy tram ride or walk. Get dessert. GELATO. Can't make up your mind? Our server gave us a little of each. It turned out to be a perfect balance of sweet and fruity to round out the night.

I felt like the food was more bland than expected. We did go on Valentine's Day when it was pretty busy so we tried not to be too judgmental on things. Drinks were delicious. I personally thought the crab wonton (received for free) was the best item we got for a starter. The firecracker fried spring rolls had no flavor to me and the coconut prawns I couldn't even taste the shrimp. I got the Piquant pepper Calamari for an entree and it was much larger than I expected. The calamari was a little too spongy and definitely needed the sauce that they provided. My husband got the Panang curry with jasmine rice: He stated it had a sweet taste and he enjoyed it. We probably won't return but it was a nice new find.

Perhaps the worst Asian food experience of my and my Asian born wife's life. Nothing authentic about it. And flavors and spice levels so subpar, it's something I'd expect from a 4th grader just learning to cook, who hates flavor and spices. And who messes up Rice Pudding??? It was so hot you had to blow on it to cool it down and so liquidity it was more like eating really hot soup. Not Asian Rice Pudding and not even American Rice Pudding. Much like our main course, we couldn't finish Rice Pudding either but we were refunded for how clearly awful dessert was. Although we paid for main couse, we ended up throwing it out too. Ruined our Anniversary. Beautiful restaurant, great ambiance, but food is a waste of money.

I want to go back asap! All five people in our party had incredible dishes! It also has a great atmosphere and wonderful customer service.

If I could give negative stars I would, the food was almost as bad as our server which was absolutely trash.

We had a reservation for a party of 7 with a baby for my mother in laws birthday and to say this restaurant was a let down is an understatement. For starters the waitress only checked in for the first 30min and then never returned to even see we hadn't even gotten most our food in over and hour and the drinks were empty to include all waters. We were informed that there was a large party before us, but that our food will be out shortly. The first few meals of our party came out after 45 minutes of radio silence. We waited for over an hour and a half and had to remind the staff multiple times to get our final two meals which we took to-go. The food itself, even though I ordered a 4.5 out of five spicy had zero spice and one of our meals was cold. I can surely say I will never return to this place and wouldn't recommend wasting your time coming here.

This place got me sick !! The owners are not polite. They were literally passing a out door umbrella over the top of my wifes food. Didn't even say excuse me!! Do not recommend!!!

We celebrated my bday dinner here last night. We had a party of 17. We did have reservations as we reserved the small room. Our reservation was at 7:30 we got seated at that time however our waitress did not come and greet us til 8pm. The restaurant outside wasn't busy at all so I was a bit confused. We then Ordered our food and let me tell you! The food came out at all separate times. I had to get up a few times to ask for refills on our water and when the rest of our food was coming. We even mentioned to our waitress if you can leave the pitcher of water at the table and she totally dismissed us. We finally got just about all our food about 8:45pm mine you the restaurant closes at 9pm =(. The last thing to come out was the chicken fried rice. As they brought it into the room you can already smell that the rice was burnt. A bit disappointing as we waited so long for the rice to eat with our meat and curry dishes. I had to go out into the restaurant to call our waiter and complain about the rice. She did offer to remake it which I said yes if I'm paying $20 for an order and we ordered 2 fried rices. By this time it was almost 9pm the kids were tired and we weren't that hungry from just picking on all the other dishes. I'm very upset and disappointed at our visit. I wanted to take the family to a nice restaurant for my bday dinner so no one had to cook. But for the service and the quality of food we got last night I think it would've been better if we stayed home and cooked for a lot less than what we spent!!!

We have been coming here at least once a year since they opened. We live about 45 min south. My husband made reservations for Valentine's Day at least 3 weeks prior to Valentine's day! We have always loved the ambiance of Indoshine. When we arrived we were sat in a back room behind the bar, I didn't even know there was a back room. It was dark (not in a romantic way) the tables looked like throw aways from the front of the restaurant. Let me start by saying this visit only deserved about 2.5 stars but I gave 4 stars because the service was great and the pear martini may have been the best drink I have had... KUDOS to the bartender!! Our server continually checked on us and was very accommodating. We ordered crab Rangoon's Drunken noodles - looked like an egg scramble - not edible Orange chicken - pre cooked chicken ( per the server) with what looked like uncooked corn dog batter. Chicken fried rice - bland There are far better and less expensive Thai restaurants in the area.. go visit those!

I came here for drinks but got a few appetizers as well, it was my first time. I order the potstickers and empanadas, which were very tasty. I ordered the indo mojito, I can't remember what my friend ordered for her drink, but they were super pretty and very delicious. The service was excellent and the ambiance was relaxing. Would definitely come back again.

We used to love this restaurant but last night we celebrated a belated Mother's Day and the food quality has diminished quite a bit. The only items that were still great were the fresh rolls and grab wontons. My husband had the Mongolian beef and the quality of the meat was terrible! My daughter had the drunken noodles and it looked like it had been sitting under their heat lamps for an hour. The crispy fish in ginger & basil was tough and over cooked, lacking flavor. On a positive note, we did really like our server. She was very nice and responsive. We won't be recommending this establishment to our friends and family as we have in the past until we hear that Indochine is back to serving quality food. We cook better at home for a lot less money!

Rusell the owner was so welcoming every time we come to this place. I love their mango shrimp fried trce and phad thai.For sure we will come back and claiming that this is one of my favorite place.

The food was very high quality and delicious. They were very accommodating to my allergies (seafood). The restaurant is very pretty as well.

Indochine is usually pricey but the quality of the food and the amount is usually awesome. Tonight I ordered Uber eats and laid about $85 for all of this. I ordered the Hobey walnut prawns with sauce on the side and that was awesome!! The Penang curry was also awesome, but I'm confused as to why the Mongolian beef is only filled half way. Come on Indocine you have to do better for the price. That dish was $ 20and that was definitely NOT worth what I paid. If you pay these prices it should at least come with rice and it didn't!

One of my favorite spots for happy hour I'm the area! I've been here once for drinks and appetizers but came back last weekend for dinner with a friend. This place was pretty packed for the evening. All the staff was so nice and welcoming. The host sat us right by a water fountain in the middle of the dining area which was so pretty! We started off the henny-thing can happen cocktail. Let me just say that this is my favorite go to drink here! It's so refreshing! I can't help but get a couple every time! 10/10 For the appetizer we ordered the firecracker friend spring rolls! Yummy!!! The appetizer comes with a sweet chili sauce and a chipotle aioli sauce and they are both delicious! Both sauces pair very nicely with the fried spring rolls. It's so good I can eat one order to myself! Definitely recommend ordering for sure! 10/10 For dinner we ordered the mango fried rice and the drunken beef noodles. Just a heads up. Portions are very large so it's definitely shareable. Mango fried rice had lots of flavor and very filling. You can either order it with chicken or shrimp. We ordered it with chicken and it was tasty. 9/10 The drunken beef noodles was a-little bland for my taste. They had some hot sauces on the side that helped enhanced the flavor. The noodles were a little hard. Would have been better if it was a bit softer. 8.5/10 Overall, we enjoyed ourselves a lot and can't wait to come back to try more things.

The restaurant is clean, airy, spacious, the space is arranged very romantically and cozy for couples and friends to meet on the weekend. The food here is very delicious and the cocktails are very interesting, I will come back next time.

Went here with my friend and 11 y/o son, we're all big fans of Asian food. The flavors were excellent. I got jungle curry, 4 stars, son got orange chicken, and friend got chicken Tikka masala. Service was fast, food was tasty, portions were very reasonable, and prices were not terrible (although whiskey prices for the caliber of whiskey they had and the size of the pours was not a great deal and would probably just get a beer next time). We had a few appetizers, potstickers and fried tofu, the dipping sauces were excellent. My son got some gelato for dessert and gave it 2 thumbs up. All-in just a littler over $200 including a 22% tip. Service was excellent. The good: ambiance was great, flavors and portion sizes excellent, service was excellent What could be better: menu selections were limited. More dishes to choose from would be cool, this was a 1 page menu front and back. I figured they'd have a better selection of Japanese whiskies. They were able to find a bottle of suntory Toki in the back. For a place that has Macallan rare cask and Macallan 18, you'd figure they would have a bottle of yamazaki, hakushu, or maybe some KaVaLan. The pours of Toki were probably exactly 1oz and for 16 bucks that's not superb. Overall, will definitely return here.

Delicious meals and drinks! Our daughter tried something new and loved it. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. We sat in the edge of the bar and it was a nice booth.

I was traveling for work and the ambiance is more appropriate for a date night with my wife but the place was amazing. The bar is completely separate from the dining room, I know it was there but did not see it. The dining room had a pool with water that flowed right next to some of the tables. The booths were made of a beautiful wood, maybe teak or maybe just painted to look like teak. There are also tables if you don't want to sit on the wood but I was comfortable. The server recommended the Jungle chicken curry with Jasmine rice. When someone tries to sway me away from another dish by leading me to something I have not tried I almost always let them lead me. This was a win for me. The curry had a lot of vegetables and plenty of chicken. He told me it was a bit mild so I asked him to turn it up a notch. The only thing I have to say negative is that the iced tea is not brewed it is one of the teas that come out of a soda fountain. I really don't like those but he took it back without a problem.

Went to Indochine Tacoma for a post-graduation dinner. It's a nice place. Ordered Mongolian Beef. One third of the meat was grizzle. They need to be more careful in ordering their meat. Also, they had the air conditioning so cold I was glad I had a jacket. It will not be my first choice for restaurants in the future.

My friends surprised me and brought me here for my birthday. It was literally AMAZING! The food was so good. I ordered the Honey walnut shrimp, pad Thai with veggies, they ordered shrimp & chicken spring rolls, crab wontons, orange chicken and pad Thai with chicken. The portion sizes were perfect for sharing! Everything was hot and delicious. I couldn't stop eating. I was really amazed with the flavors, you can tell they took the time to cook their food and it wasn't rushed out. The ambiance was beautiful! The seating, lighting, pond in the middle. It was the perfect place for any occasion and I can't wait to take my husband back for a date night. I have no clue why I never knew this restaurant was here! I think it might be because the signage doesn't stand out, possibly. It's definitely a hidden gem in Tacoma. I don't know who our waiter was, guy with long hair. He was so nice and took great care of us. Great night, Great food, Great location for a night out! I can't wait to go back. **They have VEGAN dessert options so that made my night even more better. I had the chocolate/caramel gelato with a CANDLE!!!!! Delicious & so sweet.

I've been coming here since this location opened. I have loved this place and it's staff for the past two decades, but sadly it's gone a bit downhill. The food has just been "meh" lately. Somehow with the increase in prices the quality has decreased. Our latest order was to go. We got Panang curry, drunken beef noodles, crab wontons and crispy tofu. The tofu was poorly breaded, falling apart and greasy. Even the peanut sauce that comes with it was bland- how do you mess up peanut sauce?! The crab wontons used to be in a thin purse with an extra crispy crunchy top (so good!) but now are these weird empanada like things with barely any crab flavor. The cream cheese texture is also somehow off. And the drunken beef noodles were not drunken beef. Did they have beef, egg and wide rice noodles? Yes. But the sauce was missing, they were mushy and filled with "seasonal vegetables" that added nothing to the dish. The curry was fine, but everything else was so disappointing. We will give it one more go, but if the next time is like this again then, sadly, it will be the end of an era for me.

We went to Indochine as a special birthday dinner for my fiancé with his family. When we walked in we were stared at rudely by the host. He didn't say hello or greet us in any way. When we said we would like to be seated, he rolled his eyes and asked if we had a reservation. We did. He rolled his eyes again and grabbed some menus and walked away. Assuming he was leading us to our table we followed him, unsure if we should just leave at that point. Our table ended up being in the very back, although many open tables were available near the fountain or for drop in seating. When the food arrived, there was a French fry (?!?!) in our tofu, a carrot in my steamed veggies was rotten, slimy, and discolored, and the broccoli was undercooked. Other than that, the food was okay. On a positive note, our server was friendly and attentive, which is the only redeeming quality of this place. The host who I assume is also the manager would really benefit from an attitude adjustment and a course in hospitality. The initial interaction set the tone for the rest of the meal, and we were disappointed to say the least.

Good food and attentive service. Lots of vegan and non-vegan entrees. Dark, dark ambiance if you are not sitting by the pools. We had to use our iPhone flashlights to read the menu. Pad Thai and ahi entree were exactly what we need for a late dinner.
