The massaman curry was good. The dining room was attractive and the kitchen was spotless.
But: on the menu, there is a dish described as sautéed cauliflower. To me, sautéed means cooked over high heat in a little bit of fat so the interior is tender, and the exterior is brown. This was breaded and appeared fried rather than sautéed. (It was also fairly mushy.) Also, one of our party asked if the naan had butter. She was told no and she said, "Ok, because I'm vegan." A bit later someone else came by and asked who the vegan was and she raised her hand. He told her the naan contains yogurt. She thanked him for the info and asked if it could be taken off the order. He said no. I've never been to a restaurant where someone had to pay for something they couldn't eat. It would be one thing if the item was already sitting on the table, but we hadn't received it. For example, the misleading description of the cauliflower meant one of us could not eat it. We didn't say anything though, because we didn't realize how misleading it was until it arrived. Finally, the rice was not what we were expecting. I think we thought we would receive basmati, but instead got something more like a sticky sushi rice. I did not mind, but a couple of people in our party were a bit disappointed.
So: while there were some positives, I don't think I will go back. And I am so sorry to say that because I'm always in search of good West Seattle restaurants.
When you go, my tip would be to make sure you have any knowledge you need, or would just like to have, about a dish *before* you place your order.
Update: I just checked the menu again and it did say the cauliflower was stir-fried. But we were still surprised by what tasted like breading.
