I stopped in here for the first time today. I am blown away.
I've visited well over 100 breweries throughout North America. This is by far the most elegant and well thought out (excluding the college campus-esque villages such as Sierra Nevada Asheville) brewery I've stepped foot in.
The entry way resembles a gorgeous, modern atrium. Subtle yet lavish decor deluges every area of the building. To that point, this playa has it all.
There's a massive bar and main level seating area with huge, well-placed televisions and a giant projector screen. Upstairs you will find a small high top seating area, with a giant TV, of course. Keep walking and you will run into another room with a separate, smaller bar and, you guessed it: another giant TV.
Downstairs (below the main level) is something I can't openly speak of; however, knock five times and utter the magic words and you just might find yourself in one of the most creative speakeasy-style bars you'll find in this richly historical town. Amazing modern chic yet mythologically inspired murals deluge the walls.
Last but certainly not least: the staff. Let's be honest, a good staff makes or brakes an establishment. Well, suffice it to say, they made it.
We were initially welcomed by Manny. The guy is just great at what he does, simple as that. He is nice to a fault and mixes up some of the finest cocktails the south side has to offer. He's a wealth of knowledge who operates in a refined and meticulous manner I've experienced only at the most highly regarded establishments.
The ever so sweet cherry on top was undoubtedly Bar Captain Lena. She entertained all of my intrusive questions and responded with style, knowledge, and grace. She then, without hesitation, offered to take me and my friend downstairs to give us a tour of the aforementioned speakeasy. Along the way she provided a slew of fun facts and informed us of the many, many fun and creative ideas they have in store moving forward. She embodies every trait that both a brewery owner and customer could want out of the woman behind helm, as represented by the rest of her personable and efficient staff.
If it hasn't seemed clear--you need to get here. I did not get to eat today, but I will report back when I do.
