The Latest Restaurant Openings to Know in Phoenix, February 2025 | Eater Phoenix

"After nearly 20 years, the Roosevelt Row staple Carly’s Bistro passed the torch to a new team handpicked by the former owners. Chef Edward McLachlan’s 12-item menu pulls inspiration from around the world with dishes like crispy pork belly over potlikker greens, pappardelle with lamb shoulder, and chilled street corn with Peruvian aji amarillo butter. The restaurant leans into its name with a Monday “industry night” featuring live DJs and 25% off for food service workers from 6 p.m. to midnight." - McConnell Quinn

What we got: Modelo Guinness Ceaser salad Noble Pretzels and fondue Chicken wings with lemon pepper dry rub Spicy vodka pasta with chicken Literally came here only to try the Caesar salad as it looked like this viral salad I’ve seen in another state and it literally was so worth it at $12. That’s not a bad price nowadays and it’s a pretty decent size salad. They really put it in the sauce and it’s literally perfect. A pretzel taste pretty good just like your own standard pretzel pretty good cheese dip chicken wings were moist and the Pasta was good and flavorful and enough sauce for each noodle the type of noodle they use really holds the flavor con is the added chicken paid for was barely anything small pieces only like four we found it so a bit disappointing there

Great food, service, and drinks! I always order an extra dirty Bombay martini and the bartender made it very well! We also had the special Cajun corn pasta and the pork belly. I never had corn in pasta before but it was a nice touch because it added a slight sweetness. The pork belly was seasoned well and the cornbread and green were tasty! I was there for a short trip but will make a visit again next time I stop into town!

Google
Went for the $25 girl dinner, first time trying raw oysters and wasn’t a fan so won’t include that part for the rating. The pasta was okay, very rich and not much flavor, the Caesar salad was very good and surprisingly spicy. We also added on the skillet cookie and it was okay, the cookie was still super doughy and not much ice cream. Great waitress, friendly staff and I would definitely go back to try other things on the menu, just probably not the girl dinner again!

Excellent place to eat on Roosevelt Row! Came here during Phoenix First Friday and the place was busy but still had a table for us. My wife is Celiac so we asked about which menu items are gluten free and the host immediately know which dishes were safe and which ones could be modified to be safe. All the dishes we ordered came out fast and were very delicious. I highly recommend the pork belly and the spinach dip. The drinks were all very good as well. They have a full bar and can make all the classics in addition to the on-menu drinks. I went with a classic Last Word and everyone else got some very tasty-looking on-menu drinks. Atmosphere and service were both excellent. Our server was attentive and the kitchen was fast. Both the indoor and outdoor seating had a great vibe. Fully recommend.

Google
This location is a Phoenix diamond. The atmosphere is so low-key tucked away lights, dim. Restrooms clean, but the food is beyond amazing from the flavor profiles of the short rib and the prime dip sandwich is a must try. The chef and owner is by far the most down-to-earth, amazing person you can taste the love and passion in his food. Put this location on your must try list or date night. You won’t be disappointed with the first class customer service.

Google
10/10 food was AMAZING. Lobster roll, prime dip, Caesar salad, and spicy cucumbers with a strawberry based vodka cocktail that takes them 24 hrs to make!?! All I can say is WOW! Super flavorful! I don’t gate keep because a restaurant like this deserves to be PACKED, but I low key loved that we were able to get a table lol. It’s one of those spots you almost want to keep to yourself ITS THAT GOOD! My wife is a solo catering chef at Thyme and Tempo LLC and she APPROVES 👌

Google
Industry Standard is such a cool spot—definitely one of our new favorite late-night hangs. The vibe is laid-back but still has that energy you want when you’re out late. We ended up talking with the owner for a bit and he was super chill, really down-to-earth guy who clearly cares about the place. Prices were solid, especially for a place this nice, and the staff were awesome the whole time. Good music, great atmosphere, and just an overall awesome place to kick back with friends. Highly recommend checking it out if you’re looking for a cool spot to hang late.

Google
My friend and I went to Industry Standard for the infamous $25 girl dinner. If you are also planning on going for the girl dinner, make sure you aren’t extremely hungry. The portions were very small, so we had to order another appetizer. In addition to the small servings, the food itself was mid at best. I don’t really care for caviar, the caesar salad tasted like a bagged salad from the store, and our pasta was served room temperature. Our server recommended we eat the pasta right away so it does not get cold, which we did, but it still came room temperature. It is a small restaurant and was always at full capacity, so it was very loud. My friend and I had to raise our voice quite a bit to hear each other. Service was great throughout the night, which I appreciated. I feel like I need to go back and try some of their other dishes to give it a fair shot, but overall not impressed.

Yelp
Industry Standard's Tuesday/Wednesday "Girl Dinner" is spot on. The caesar salad and spicy vodka pasta were delicious, but the Kumamoto oysters stole the show. They tied everything together and made the dinner feel complete. From start to finish--even down to the espresso and dirty martini--it felt perfectly curated for me and my girlfriend. If the oysters stay on the menu, they'll have us coming back week after week.

Yelp
Great spot for late night drinks, food, and the vibes! Had the cucumber salad(), I'd order it anytime I'm there. Had the tuna Crudo, melt in your and flavorful. I could run that one back 2-3 times. Tried the featured mussel dish, also delicious. Crunchy bread in the confit tomato and garlic broth was The only spot in downtown with elevated late night food. I see you Chef Azlin!

Yelp
OMG have y'all tried the $25 Girl Dinner fixed menu?! It was so cheap! You literally get Champaign or a martini. I opted for a vodka espresso martini and it was nice and strong. Then a fun caviar bump came out on a ruffle chip. That was great! Then a Cesar salad comes out with good breadcrumbs to top it. Lastly the vodka pasta comes out and it has a nice tiny kick to it. All 4 items for $25. I mean... tho l about it. Before taxes that like $6 per item. A $6 espresso martini that was so good? Oh yes girl.... I'm coming back. Fella's- bring your date here on a Tuesday or Wednesday between 5-10pm for them to take advantage of the Girl Dinner deal. I'll be back! Shout out to the owner because my pasta cooled down when I was eating my salad and they warmed it up. It came out hot! Great fast service too!

Yelp
Industry Standard moved into the space on Roosevelt that was previously Carly's Bistro. It was busy on Saturday night, but our server was friendly and efficient. The crowd was fantastically diverse. A glass of Raventos sparkling wine is a good way to start. Caesar salad and lobster roll were both good. Charred broccolini with romesco sauce and toasted breadcrumbs was excellent. And the brown butter chocolate chip skillet cookie was amazing! Pass for me on the confit tomatoes with sweet ricotta cheese and focaccia that was just ok. Worth checking out if you're hanging downtown.

Yelp
Came back for girl dinner deal after trying this place almost a year ago for the first and a few times in between, and wow what an improvement on their food! But this deal is amazing and ladies yall need to come check it out. The espresso martini was delicious and perfectly balanced, the caviar bump was a nice touch, can never go wrong with a ceaser salad, but the award goes to the spicy vodka pasta! Ambiance was amazing as so many girlies were taking in the great deal. So place was busy by 6pm! Love their staff as they are always so friendly. I've noticed the owner is always helping out which is so refreshing to see. Great job, industry standard!

Yelp
Amazing cocktails. Delicious food (highly recommend the lobster roll and the Cheetos covered mac and cheese). Wonderful, super friendly, and attentive service. Best of all: they are very dog friendly. We kept apologizing for the dogs jumping up and the servers were all so kind. The whole family loved coming here. Really a great spot to hang out.

Yelp
Industry Standard does a good job of filling the shoes left from its longtime predecessor. In fact, it's refreshing to see more restaurants that earnestly try to be good; that yearn to be stylish, contemporary, and unpretentious instead of flashy and overbearing. Outside, you'll find the same comfortable patio seating and vibrant murals one should take for granted on The Row. Inside, you'll find a southern-inspired New American menu, respectable cocktails, and if you're lucky some entertainment. What I loved: The bar food can't be missed. In fact, I'll say the Miso Wings are the best chicken dish I've had all year. The cocktail menu won't blow your mind if you're already a snob like me, but it is formidable, accessible, and above all--tasty. The Chic and Destroy (an overtly sweet strawberry cocktail featuring abundant clarified dairy) is fun, packs a punch, and is certainly accessible. But there are a few more worth exploring, if you don't get distracted by the assortment of small pours (Who else likes a little fernet menta?) I find this spot ideal for small groups, small bites, and a cozy atmosphere standing in futher contrast from the rest of the block nowadays. Back in the day, I made quite a few memories in this building. With Industry Standard running things now, I certainly believe there's room to make a few more.

Yelp
Cool, fun spot downtown! Parking can be tricky, but it's centrally located and easy to make reservations. Came in for an early dinner on Saturday night to celebrate my husband's birthday. There wasn't a single thing that we ordered, that we didn't love: Lemon Pepper Wings, Spicy Cucumbers, Pepperoni Flatbread, Spicy Vodka Pasta, Pasta Bolognese, Prime Dip - all delicious! Not an easy feat with our daughters' varying ages and palates. It's a smaller restaurant, but even with a packed house, service was top notch. Our server didn't miss a beat, was so sweet and attentive, and had great recommendations. The manager stopping by to say hello and extend birthday wishes was a nice touch to end a wonderful dining experience with our family!
google avatar

Yelp
Ambience is very cool. I had the lobster roll and my husband had the wings. I was a little bit hungry still so thats why I gave 4 stars because. Drinks were really good too, I had wine which was great. I would go back mostly to try other drinks. Servers were very attentive. Didn't need a reservation but we went on a random Thursday night

Yelp
This restaurant is such a vibe!! It was packed inside, lights were dim~ very down to earth! Super close to a parking garage! I think we walked maybe 2 minutes? The food was amazing!! We got meatballs, mac and cheese, the sweet spicy & savory flatbread, Caesar salad, and miso wings!! The meatballs and wings were mwah chefs kiss so yummy!! The meatballs has a slight kick to it and the sauce was just incredible. The wings were covered in an addicting miso glaze. The Caesar was good too!! Overall I would come here again!!

Yelp
Guys, run don't walk. This place is fire. Beautiful tables, cool art, kind people, this place is a standout. Me and my business partner (restaurant industry owners) got in late and came in for dinner. The food is fantastic. Sausage flatbread, bolognese, confit tomatoes, tuna crudo. All crazy good. Mike the owner is super passionate and such a good operator. Great hospitality, go support them!!
google avatar

Jasmine S.

Yelp
Vibey spot in the heart of Roosevelt Row. Although the food was good, I was expecting more options on the menu, as it appeared to be a restaurant celebrated for its culinary offerings. But I did enjoy the lobster roll, the miso wings were delish, and the drinks were nicely crafted. A place to enjoy an intimate conversation, dinner with friends, or late night people watching solo with a cocktail.

Yelp
I knew I had to come back and try this place after I heard chef Azlin had joined Industry Standard. I really liked the food at the Azlin and was disappointed to hear it closed. They now have an updated menu and all the food we tried was delicious. Started with the broccolini and it was tasty, and cooked perfectly to be crispy but not raw with a really good romesco sauce. I went with the French dip and opted for the salad instead of fries. The French dip was delicious. Personally I would have loved more horseradish because it was just a hint but I can't complain because it was really good. I was also pleasantly surprised that the salad was so big for a side salad and was also delicious. As always our service was great and I'm looking forward to going back soon.

Yelp
I've been here a few times but this was the 1st time mid week that we've come. Pleasantly surprised to see the vibe continues throughout the week. It wasn't as crowded as the weekends but the vibe carried just fine. Lots of great personalities and the service & drinks were great. We arrived after 8pm and it was low key. Decided to grab a variety of items and cocktails. We went with the Roasted Pork Sandwich, Chicken Wings (buffalo & miso with a special request of all flats in Buffalo & drums in miso), the Mac & Cheese and of course a few cocktails. Normally we never have time for food and it's always being shared, but I was able to actually enjoy the Pork sandwich and mac & cheese. Better than any normal bar food, there's some attention to detail to each of the items. All were good. For cocktails, had the "Text Your Ex" and the "Short Comings"... not related, but the Ex had a great flavor profile to add to the tequila, while the Short Comings watermelon & ginger beer set off the vodka. Bar & Staff were friendly and we got plenty of attention. Parking can be hit or miss on the streets, but this place I keep in rotation in the area as places to frequent!!
google avatar

Nala K.

Yelp
Really amazing place with a kitchen that's open late!! The food is great and so is the service and drinks!! I love the paulitcally correct and short comings for drinks and my partner enjoyed the text your ex and the bell pepper in that was a nice touch! For food we have tried the lobster roll, Astoria chopped and one of their brocolini dishes! It's been amazing each time we've gone and we continue to love going here for late night eats. I would recommend this to everyone looking for a nice ambience, food and drinks!

Yelp
Loved the atmosphere and vibe as soon as I walked in. The interior was super lovely and made for a perfect dinner spot but would be nice enough for a date or casual for lunch. The two flatbreads we got were delicious and our drinks were made with love (strong). Staff here was super sweet and were knowledgeable with the menu. Hope this places does well and stays for a long time.

Yelp
Food, great. Service, even better (Thanks Rosie!) And the vibe is the coolest on the block, save maybe for the jazz club up the street. The wings are spot on and drink specials are special. I go there so often I don't even have to order my go-to drink as they bring it minutes after arriving. A great Roosevelt spot.

Mark T.

Yelp
I've been hearing a lot about this place so decided to check it out on a Friday night. Everything I've heard was spot on. The service was amazing. We had the charcuterie board and it was so good. The menu looked amazing so need to go back but based upon this visit it will be worth another trip.
google avatar

Yelp
First time at Industry Standard, not our last! We shared the Tuna crudo and the Half Roasted Chicken. I should also mention I ordered a spicy, skinny margarita and it was so good that I had two :). We sat at the bar, which was full, and had an amazing experience. Service was attentive and we will definitely return. Headed to the Nash for a show. Thx a bunch !
google avatar

Yelp
Came to Phoenix for friends a birthday and Father's Day. Industry Standard was the first stop on our food tour. We had the miso wings and few cocktails. The Miso Wings may be the best chicken wings I've ever had and my cocktail was quite tasty too. Only downside was certain menu items weren't available that we really wanted to try but other than that I highly recommend Industry Standard
google avatar

Veronica L.

Yelp
Industry Standard has quickly become a go-to spots in downtown Phoenix! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by a warm, industrial-chic vibe -- moodily lit with grey checkered wallpaper and a cozy, intimate feel. The menu is a delightful fusion of global flavors, with shareable small plates perfect for trying a little bit of everything. I sampled a few highlights--scratch-made cocktails were excellent, each creative and thoughtfully balanced. Highly recommend grabbing a table here if you're in the Roosevelt Row area -- you won't regret it!
google avatar

Jaimie T.

Yelp
Stopped in after First Friday and sat right away at the bar. The signature cocktails were hand crafted and delicious. $19 for a cocktail is a bit pricey. They also serve wine and beer which is more budget friendly.
google avatar

Morganne T.

Yelp
This was a great little place to come check out! My friend and I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The servers were great about checking in with us and had great attitudes through the night. We really debated on what to eat for some time. I decided to try a drink and it was refreshing! It's good for those who like mules. She tried the Prime Dip and I did the Pasta Bolognese. Both were delicious! What really made the night was the dessert. It was enough for us to share and just a perfect way to end the dining experience. Would love to come back and try another dish or drink!
google avatar

Hannah R.

Yelp
Third time trying this spot, Came the other night for some late night drinks and food. It wasn't busy inside. Got seated at a table. The last couple times I came and how inconsistent the drinks are is a bummer especially with how great of a location this place has. One thing that is never inconsistent is the service, great employees here and always quick to help with a smile. We shared the pork belly and duck meat balls (not pictured). The pork belly was so dry and flavorless, we kinda just picked around at that plate. The duck meatballs were salty AF. I love salt but felt like I was gonna go into shock due to how salty they were. This place needs help on their food and whatever the kitchen staff is doing in the back to mess up meatballs that bad. Great place for drinks and good service but the food is just terrible.
google avatar

Bill T.

Yelp
Quite an oddball name, but they are the Standard! Great selections for any occasion! We've been patrons for years!
google avatar

Yelp
Great place to have dinner we ate here before going to the Phoenix Theatre. Food was delicious. The service was great. The owner was waiting tables.
google avatar

Charmyra F.

Yelp
I'm in town for the weekend and one of my good friends brought me and another mutual friend here for dinner and drinks. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day. The food was delicious, the service was on point, and I left feeling satisfied! The owner was super nice and our fabulous waitress took great care of us! The food was out of this world! The Cesar salad was so good! Loved it! It wasn't crowded and it was in the perfect location. This was my first time in town and really getting a feel for Phoenix, AZ! I will say if you're a "foodie" you will not be disappointed, and this city lowkey has a pretty vibrant nightlife! It was a whole vibe! I highly recommend checking this place out and all of the surrounding businesses!
google avatar

Donn O.

Yelp
This place is conveniently located on Roosevelt Row with a huge patio. Service was excellent and the cocktail selection was on point. The duck meatballs were juicy with a little heat. Flatbread has pepperoni jam and was amazing. Run to try this place before they get too popular!

Elena B.

Yelp
Love, love , love the food. Everything is fresh and so satisfying. The tomatoes confit are my favorite dish at any restaurant. I eat this again and again and it's just a good as the first time. Our server was lovely and made great suggestions. Can't wait to try more of the menu!
google avatar

Desiree D.

Yelp
Great new restaurant on Rosevelt Row. I loved the dark moody decor. They had a decent selection of wines and fun cocktails. Our server was friendly and service was relatively quick. The pork belly was delicious. Perfectly crispy where it melted in your mouth. The spinach dip and the Caesar salad were decent. The lamb pasta with the mint crème fraiche was a miss for me. A welcome addition to the area.
google avatar

Me H.

Yelp
Really good meal!!! Walked right in to a friendly server and good music. Started with a tasty caesar and a new take on a pina colada with ube YUMMM. The spicy vodka pasta with chicken was divine and surrounded by a nice sweet whipped cheese to balance the flavors. Really friendly service and good vibes and value! I will be back again

Anderson C.

Yelp
Wow, what a spot! The service from the second we entered was so friendly, even considering it was 11PM. We had just gotten off a plane, in need of sustenance, and we were blown away. From the genuine hospitality of the owner and the chef, to the truly exceptional food - I'll be coming back here again and again. Don't miss the confit tomatoes over whipped ricotta, or any of the flatbreads, or the bolognese! Every bite we had was super delicious, and the experience was a 10/10
google avatar

Alicia H.

Yelp
I can honestly say the worst $70 Ive ever spent in PHX. Ordered Macaroni and Cheese and a Prime Rib Sandwich. The mac was probably 2 steps down from boxed velveeta and shells and thats being mean to velveeta. The "prime rib" was shaved deli meat dyed red covered in an oily cheese that wasn't quite Kraft singles but maybe the generic version. The person dining with me spent the better part of 10 hours throwing up the 6 bites we both managed to choke down. The food poisoning was so bad we jad to contemplate going to the hospital for fluids. An overall horrible food experience. The bar staff was friendly I cannot comment on the cocktails as it's very hard to mess up a jack and coke
google avatar

Luwam B.

Yelp
Love everything about this! First off amazing service Elise at the bar makes amazing drinks and Rosie our server is so personable and friendly makes great recommendations! The food itself makes you want to come back and try something new each time it's too good. We got the flatbread, hummus and roast beef sandwich all of which I would definitely go back for again! The vibe is very cute for date nights or just grabbing some dinner with your girls! I will definitely be back!
google avatar

Sadi W.

Yelp
Our flights arrived hella late and we was sooo hungry. This was the spot! Kitchen is open late. We had the Mac and Cheese, Flat bread with the pepperoni jam (to die for) and the spinach dip along with two drinks off their drink menu. Everything had really good flavor. So if your passing through stop on by.

Aidan M.

Yelp
Been coming here since opening night and all they have done is improve service and food+drink menus. Brock and Elise are fantastic and the owners are super chill as well. Get a 50/50 split of wings with half miso and half lemon pepper wet, or the spicy vodka pasta

Samuel M.

Yelp
My wife and I stopped in for a date night, and we are floored by the food here. Incredible wings. Some of the best I've had. The confit tomatoes were so good that we considered getting another order. Pair that with great service and atmosphere, and you've got an outstanding restaurant. We will be back again soon and often.
google avatar

Alex N.

Yelp
Great new place in downtown phoenix. They have a large cocktail selection and plenty of different food items for both sharing and entrees. We ordered the wings and a couple cocktails. Highly recommend checking it out!
google avatar

Arriel P.

Yelp
Truly adore this place. It's my third time now and each time I come, I feel a little more at home and at comfort. The drinks, food, vibe and music are pretty spectacular. We just moved here, so finding a staple spot is a lot to us. I can sit here and have a drink with my husband and it's like our souls are greeted with some rest. Well keep coming back :)
google avatar

Kelly L.

Yelp
The audacity to charge $13 for 1/4 cup of tasteless guac and 10 chips is crazy. Nobody cares if you put yuzu in it if it's not even good. I had to ask for salt to try to doctor it up and still couldn't be saved. It's GUAC y'all. If you can't nail that, you don't deserve to be in business. I'm so tired of these places in the neighborhood opening up thinking they can get by on a gimmick. Drinks were good but only came by because they were on special. Otherwise, everything was overpriced and underwhelming. Next!!!
google avatar

Lisa M.

Yelp
Food and drinks were delicious. I had the hummus and my friend had flatbread. Highly recommend

Molly L.

Yelp
We were visiting from Canada and decided to check out Industry Standard. We're so glad we did I'm not exaggerating when I say they have the best Mac and cheese ever. If you're in the area you NEED to check them out. Place is such a vibe and great service! 11/10
google avatar

Todd T.

Yelp
I like this spot a lot! The drinks are soooooo good! And a great variety of tequila's, lots of additive free. The menu, which doesn't have a lot to choose from but is really tasty!!!

Jamie S.

Yelp
The crew here is amazing. Great cocktails, interesting food options. 10/10 music & ambiance. Always a good time.

Tony E.

Yelp
Great drinks, food, and atmosphere. Spinach dip was amazing highly recommend. The pork belly with collard greens was also great, borderline too salty which is where the seasoning should be: a good thing!

Jackson P.

Yelp
This might be my new top spot downtown. My friends and I came here on a whim after looking for a cocktail bar and seeing this was right across the street from where we were. The vibes in this spot are immaculate and the staff was super friendly and accommodating. I had the chic and destroy cocktail and I am not kidding, one of the best cocktails I've ever had. There are several unique options on the cocktail list. As far as food goes, we had chicken wings, a Caesar salad, and the spinach artichoke dip. All were excellent and exceeded our expectations. Best of all, this place didn't break the bank. This place has a lovely atmosphere whether you are coming for dinner date or just a few drinks with friends. We will DEFINITELY be back.
google avatar

Roosevelt Row N.

Yelp
We were very excited to try this new place in the neighborhood, and came in their first weekend open. The pork belly was good, as well as the drinks, and we loved the drink menu names! However, the portion sizes of the guacamole and street corn dips were off, especially for the amount of chips served. We also would have hoped the corn would have been cooked, grilled, or charred. Overall the vibe is decent, and got better as it got busier. I think the staff may have still been getting trained, because we had to ask our server twice what the happy hour menu was before she had found out. We also had a weird interaction with a server outside the day after they opened who told us we should come in since "they just opened, everyone still really cares right now". Almost implying it will go down hill? As a resident of Roosevelt Row, I hate to see so many great places go under so I really hope this place improves and lasts!
google avatar

Brianna O.

Yelp
Wow, this place surprised me! I am a Gilbert girl and I rarely go out of my comfort zone but one night I went out of my 10 mile radius and tried this restaurant with some co-workers. It was so much better than I imagined and I will actually make the drive/pay for the uber to go here on the weekly. Great unique food, fun cocktails, and incredible customer service makes it all worth it !
