Cozy neighborhood tavern serving burgers, brunch, and cocktails

"A beloved bistro that opened in 2022 and has become a neighborhood favorite, representing the growing presence of thoughtfully executed, casual dining on the street." - Andrea Strong
"This tavern-like corner spot shines during the day, when sunlight pours in through the large windows, onto Brooklyn Heights locals and their impeccably dressed toddlers. The brunch menu is fairly egg-forward, though we’re happy to report that the beloved nighttime cheeseburger is also available. It pairs excellently with a soft scramble or some chilaquiles—and a Bloody Mary." - bryan kim, willa moore, molly fitzpatrick, will hartman, sonal shah
"Ingas Bar is the antithesis of Time Out Market Dumbo. It’s on a quiet corner in Brooklyn Heights, and the odds of encountering someone here who has never been to Brooklyn until today are refreshingly low. The tavern-ish spot has a pretty superb double patty burger, but they also have a tangy celery victor, and mortadella showered with grated brown butter. Come by yourself to drink a Negroni, or bring an out-of-towner for weekend brunch or dinner, where they'll feel like they're experiencing the real New York at a candlelit table covered with butcher paper." - willa moore, bryan kim, sonal shah, molly fitzpatrick, carina finn koeppicus, hannah albertine
"From a former chef at Diner and Marlow & Sons, Sean Rembold and Caron Callahan’s tavern offers a bar and dining area with distinctly different atmospheres. Start brunch with cocktails such as a paloma or a bloody mary ($14), and continue with food items like a mortadella sandwich, chilaquiles, smoked salmon Benedict, or a cheeseburger. Saturday and Sunday brunch is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m." - Melissa McCart
"Ingas Bar is a tavern, but it feels like a tavern that’s all dressed up. They’ve got a pretty superb double patty burger, and there’s also mortadella showered in grated brown butter and a rotating menu of dainty small plates. Share a few and sip on a perfect Negroni at a candlelit table covered with butcher paper." - willa moore, will hartman, molly fitzpatrick
