TL;DR at bottom. My husband, my mom, and I went in for dinner and ordered off the prix-fixe dinner menu, which is currently $80/person. For the prix-fixe, you make one selection from each category/course for every 2 people. With us 3, they let us pick 2 choices from each.
Service was excellent. Our table was already set when we came in, so we were seated and immediately started eating the salad and banchan. Prompt, attentive, professional, and they did an excellent job cooking the meats; it wasn't overcooked nor undercooked. Refills also came in a timely manner. For our waters, they let us select cucumber, lemon, and/or lime off a platter.
Food quality was great. Even for "just" American wagyu, the higher quality is pretty apparent when comparing to other kbbq places. The steak tartare, I didn't like too much; I like it when it's more pâté-texture where I could spread it on bread, but this was strings of meat. The dipping choices were a sweet soy sauce, ssamjang, and sea salt, as well as a Korean chimichurri that was pretty delicious, although on the saltier side. Banchan (kimchi, salad, etc) and rice are unlimited in refills with the prix-fixe menu. Meats were tender and tasty, and there's also a hot stone plate placed on the grill to keep your meat warm. The makguksu (naengmyun) was also good; you can choose between spicy, regular, or half and half, if you choose that as one of your course. The corn cheese was on the runnier side. Beef fried rice was savory and flavorful. The asparagus was also tasty. However, in general, I think I would have paid $180 for what we got, not $240. You're definitely paying for the location and the elevated experience/ambiance. I could have gotten almost the same foods at Meokja Meokja for about $150-180. Still, I'm glad I tried it. We left feeling hella full.
Definitely try to make a reservation on opentable. It got packed pretty quickly. High ceilings and lots of lighting and wooden accents make for an elegant Korean bbq experience.
TL;DR: food was high quality, as was service. I just don't think value was there. You're paying for the elevated dining experience and ambiance; Korean barbecue is usually no frills and more casual and approachable. If you're looking for value, definitely don't go here. If you're looking to feel fancy while eating lots of marked up meat, definitely go here.
