The hotel presents well on arrival, with modern design and stylish touches. Staff were polite, but the level of service was underwhelming: I wasn’t offered help with my luggage or even shown to the lift, and most interaction felt limited to staff sitting behind the desk rather than meaningfully engaging with guests.
The infra-red sauna was a highlight, though it had to be booked via reception and no information was provided in the room or on arrival to explain this. Beyond this, the facilities fell short. The room was compact, the bathroom extremely small, and the shower design flawed — it could only be turned on with the door closed, otherwise the bathroom would flood, leaving a cold and unpleasant start to every shower. Noise insulation was exceptionally poor; thin walls and corridor noise meant I was woken several times, which is unacceptable at this price point.
Details that should have elevated the stay instead detracted from it. A mini-bar menu was provided, yet there was no mini-bar in the room. Tea and filter coffee were offered, but the drinks selection was no better than budget chains — and charging extra for a cappuccino at this price level felt inappropriate. Breakfast was another disappointment: portions were small, the fruit (melon, cubed into toddler-sized pieces) lacked quality, and there was only a single small croissant with no choice of pastries.
Although the property still appears fairly new, signs of wear are already evident. Parking arrangements were unclear from the website, adding unnecessary hassle.
Overall, while the staff were friendly enough and the infra-red sauna was enjoyable, I found the rest of the experience disappointing. For the rate charged, I would expect generous and higher-quality breakfasts, stronger guest service, better soundproofing, and facilities that actually match what’s advertised. In truth, aside from the sauna, the comfort level was no better than budget chains at a fraction of the price — and I would not return.
