Insomnia Cookies

The cookies were right out of the oven when we picked them up and they were cooked thoroughly. The cookies were good,but I don't know if I would make a separate trip to the Garden District just for them,I'd have to be in the area. Service was fantastic. The person working the shop with the green hair made a good recommendation.

Customer service wasn’t so good the last time I went the last Saturday of May 2025. I stood at the counter for two minutes I acknowledged. For a minute I thought I was a ghost. Then when the lady finally waited on me I was met with an unexpected, unwarranted attitude. I was the only customer in the store. This was about 3pm. And for all that trouble the cookies weren’t as good as I remember two years ago when I last visited there. For the price and poor customer service I wish I had gone to Sam’s or Whole Foods or Subway for that matter. I may not be back. The cookies weren’t just ok though.

Ordered an order of gluten free cookies as well as wheat cookies. They put my gluten free cookies in the same box as the wheat cookies so that I could not even eat my gluten free cookies. They also forgot my husbands red velvet cookie. When I called back to let them know they still send my order wrong this time only wheat cookies and no red velvet still. Could not eat my $30 cookie order and insomnia nor under eats will refund me even though I have pics.

I was so excited when I found out we had insomnia cookies here in New Orleans so I got up one night and headed over there. Unfortunately I was disappointed, even at 10pm (which they don’t close until 2 or 3am I believe) they were out of a lot of the cookie choices stating that “Closer to closing hours, we don’t restock or bake anymore cookies”. I had to basically get whatever was available but luckily, the server was polite and even gave me a deluxe cookie no charge for my troubles. The atmosphere outside gave me college kids vibe and it’s plenty of bars around the area. Parking wasn’t bad but during the day maybe a different story so be prepared for that. They do have wheel chair access which I thought was a plus for sure. Overall I would say I recommend going just for your own experience and hopefully my next trip is better or I’ll just try the other location 😊

They canceled the order because it was too far. They lied and said they “couldn’t find us” that’s pretty tacky. DON’T OFFER YOUR SERVICES ON UBER THEN *UPDATE* They then proceeded to lie on the app and claim that they were then delivered, but definitely weren’t. Thankfully Uber made it right. Don’t waste your time with this mickey mouse business. They play games

Great place that's open late. We got a cookie ice cream sandwich: 2 snickerdoodle cookies with cookie dough and salted caramel ice cream. It was delicious! The lady behind the counter was so nice and the store was clean as a whistle.

So I always wanted to try insomnia cookies to see what the hype was about- I chose the double chocolate mint cookie and it wasn’t in the box, if they were out of the double chocolate mint cookies, that would have been perfectly fine, but at least give me a curtesy call and allow me to choose what cookie I would like to replace it with. the expected time of arrival kept getting later and later, no phone updates. Then when I tried to call the store, no one picked up the phone. I called multiple times to try to get an update on the status of my cookies. I could understand if it was during busy day time hours, but it’s literally 12:58 am and no one is answering the phone. The cookies were broken in half. The cookies tasted good, but it’s not worth the terrible customer service. I’ll just stick to crumbl.

The cookies were warm when I got them! I went at about 10:39 PM. They have ice cream too although I did not try yet. I got the salted caramel, birthday cake, sugar, oatmeal raisin and they were allllll soooo good!!! 🤤🤤

I love all the flavors and they're the perfect size. I've picked them up on the spot and also ordered through Door Dash. The people that work at this location offer great service and my delivery cookies arrived perfectly warm.

Cancelled my order with no explanation. When I contacted them to ask what happened the staff member lied.

Freshly baked cookies just about any time you want! Now, the problem often comes when the lines are long as the college students love this as much as anyone else. However, if you're lucky enough to live within their delivery parameter, you can just bypass the line and have them bring it to you. Depending on the time of day you head over there, they may be out of the flavor(s) you're looking for. I seem to always hit them when they're out of what I'm looking for, however, you can often find a suitable replacement as you really can't go wrong with most of their foods. I haven't tried their ice cream, but I'm sure it's just as good. I wasn't a huge fan of the brownie but the cookies are always top-notch.

I almost want to give them less than 5 stars simply because I'm salty that they don't deliver to my house lol. But insomnia is the best. The cookies are always perfectly cooked. A little crisp on the outside and soft in the middle. It's in the middle of a busy college area so there's always people inside but they move really quickly and I've always experienced really good service.

My favorite cookies away from home. Walk in the establishment when you order on the app and order is always ready on time. The staff is so sweet!

Door Dash ruined my kids birthday cake cookie The folks at insomnia need to reiterate to the geniuses who deliver food for them that they can't lay hot cookie cakes on their side or the entire frosting including the part that says "happy birthday" will be a gooey mess on one side of the box. They're so unreliable the only reason we still get their damn cakes is bc my kid loves them. It always just creates extra work for me and my wife to have to fix whatever screw up. They bake well but their follow through is half baked

Cookies are always hot , soft , & fresh. The staff is always smiling and always quick to service. Also open late, perfect for a quick date.

They have upped their game since 4 years ago. They offer a side icing! Holy balls, a SIDE of ICING!! This is amazing. The only place I know that offers this. It is the perfect dessert for me.considering I'll eat icing out of the can like a pillsbury icing can. Anyway their cookies are also more fun. I had an espresso one and a lemon cello one. I loved it! No pictures, unfortunately, but now I do make sure to go out of my way to come get these cookies. A side of icing!

Cookies were delicious. The young lady that helped me was so kind. When I'm back in town I'll definitely be back.

Quick review! I rate these cookies a 4.8/5! They have the perfect chew--not too hard, not too soft. The flavor profile is near excellent. I tried the salted caramel and sugar cookie. The cookies are ever so slightly too rich, but they're delicious nonetheless. The salted caramel had bits of chewy caramel. And yes! Mine were warm. No review on customer service because someone else picked them up. But I'll be back with a glass of almond milk. :)

A colleague brought some in to our office today and the cookies were absolutley delicious! Everyone devoured them in minutes.

I was missing a cookie and a scoop of ice cream. I called the store and someone answered and placed me on hold for 15 minutes until I hung up. I also emailed the store with my problem, but no one has gotten back to me yet. The cookies that I didn't receive were great.

Order for delivery through the app. Came nice and warm enough for me and the gentleman was nice enough to bring them to my doorstep during a terrible rainstorm!

Last night I was craving something sweet. I came around 11pm they close at 1a.m. When I walked through the door I was greeted by staff members. I ordered a brownie with a scoop of vanilla ontop. Now let me tell y'all Omg it didn't make it to my house. The brownie was fresh & warm and the Vanilla icecream paired well with it. I highly recommend Insomnia Cookies.

There's nothing like a freshly baked cookie ! This shop always hits the spot. No matter what time of day I go in I always have a great experience. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I ordered a variety of cookies. Sugar, chocolate chip( my absolute favorite) Oatmeal Raisin, M&M and White Chocolate Macadamia Nut( a close second favorite of mines) Of course these didn't make it home but I always try.

The best cookies i've ever had from an actual cookie place/business!! they serve all of their cookies warm, fresh and SOFT! there's really nothing like Insomnia cookies, i LOVE this place! it's like 2 blocks down from St Charles, in a little purple house and limited parking in the street

Ordered a cookie cake with a specific message and they put a random message on it so it made no sense. Tried contacting customer support 3 times and got no response.

Where Cookie Monster goes to die. This cookie place is absolutely managed horribly. They clearly are short staffed, or they are not paying them enough to keep employees. Because the wait is like 30 minutes and no one can walk in and get items on demand. The food looked like trash got melted in my ice cream. And everything was melted. Don't they have freezers? Staff was nice, but this place is like a sad disgrace for New Orleans. The cookie on a scoop wasn't even a cookie on a scoop. And they ran out of all the menu items except a few flavors. Drunk students were across the street and it adds to the annoyance.

These cookies are dangerously good. The supreme (larger ones) were twice as good!! Fast delivery service.

Imagine the most druggie guy you knew in college opened a small business. The guy who papered over his windows with tinfoil and did acid in his room every night. Well he opened a cookie delivery service with his friends.

The entire staff is always so cheerful and seems to be really passionate about the business. And of course, cookies dipped in sugar is always a mood-lifter.

I 100% have no pictures because we devoured the box and found bliss. The best peanut butter cookie of my life. Quick deliver to our hotel. Hot cookies + vaca mode= HAPPINESS

Stopped in for a midday cookie fix and I was nothing short of IMPRESSED! Enjoyed driving uptown to this gem located in the Maple Street area. Excellent to see they have the location decorated for the Mardi Gras Season. Greeted with a warm smile and excellent customer service! So happy to order the Buy 5, Get 1 free special for only $9 bucks! I ordered 2 chocolate chunk, 1 sugar, 1 snickerdoodle, 1 white chocolate macadamia nut, and 1 peanut butter. Oh, and they have ice cream too!!! And, can we talk about how the cookies are ALWAYS WARM! Like they were freshly baked to order!

Cookies were so hard. Like rocks. I literally took a video banging one on a plate for minutes to see if it would break. CRUMBS wouldn't even come off.

It's located on Maple next door to Faubourg Bistro with street parking. Who doesn't like the smell of fresh cookies?! Nice establishment and clean! They have a nice variety of cookies to choose from. We order 12 cookies: Chocolate Chunk, Macadamia Nut, Oatmeal Raisin and Sugar. The cookies were fresh and hot! The cookies are soft and the chocolate melts in your mouth. If they had more seating to be able to enjoy the cookies and ice cream; I would have gave 5 stars!

Very good cookies! I had been wanting for the longest to try this place. Finally my daughter mentioned that she too had heard about it, so we were on our way. It was a weekday afternoon. We arrived and were the only customers. There was one employee. We wanted to get the dozen mini cookies but she said it would take about ten minutes which was fine. We left, walked up the street and back andd returned. Our cookies were ready but didn't look too much like cookies. There were more than twelve and they were all different shapes and sizes. More like drops, drips, or something but they were not round. Again, I did not mind since we got more than a dozen and they tasted delicious. So let me move on. I have been back twice since and my daughter has gone at least twice without me. So, we are fans but I will mention that the environment lacks character. The place itself seems to have been a house at some point. It does not stand out and definitely does not draw anyone in off of the street. I think this place could do much better. I was shocked that they didn't have a line out front because the cookies are amazing. Anyhow, at least I know where to find great chocolate chip cookies. Maybe that's all that matters. :)

NO CASH! The inside is small and clean. They have contactless pay, which is great, but you still can tip with cash. The store is also wheelchair accessible. I had a warm chocolate chip brownie that was very thick and moist! It was also a pretty good size but more expensive than I would have liked.

I was at dinner next door at the vegan restaurant (and was waiting an ungodly amount if time for some mediocre food), so I went outside to have a smoke. I saw Insomnia cookies was open, so I went inside. The staff were super nice and got me a delicious cookie to tide me over until my gross vegan dinner arrived. So glad this cookie store was there.

This is worst store ever. Ordered for delivery at set time and never got done. Called customer service and they had no idea how to resolve and find my order. Two times they said it was delivery person then they said it was going out now. This is over an hour after it was scheduled to be delivered. They don't let you call store for a reason as they have no answers why they can't deliver food. Don't ever deal with this store if you actually want to get your food.

I've ordered Insomnia Cookies twice now and although I'm not bowled over, I'm not completely turned off. It's a great concept - you can order hot from the oven cookies that are delivered 24/7 to your door. Great for those hard core party nights when you have few munching choices and certainly shouldn't be behind the wheel, or if you're up all night studying/working and just need a snack break. I've ordered from my office and brought the cookies home to my girlie, and she's a fan of the stuffed cookies. I've ordered 6 packs and chosen double chocolate - ho hum, chocolate chip - not bad, white chocolate macadamia nut - my favorite of the bunch, and birthday cake - not my favorite. I thought I'd show them some COVID love since the college students are gone right now and the area is relatively quiet compared to pre corona times. My wait was much longer than I could've anticipated each time. I'm talking like an hour wait for a box of 6 cookies and a stuffed cookie. WHAT?! The cookies were definitely hot, but they don't taste homemade. More like store bought, pre-made dough. And I'm not taking Nestle toll-house dough either. I mean like generic. grocery store brand, refrigerator case dough. The pluses: Contactless delivery Cookies are hot Delivered 24/7

Absolutely love Insomnia cookies. The cookies are always delicious & warm! I recently tried the S'mores cookie & it's my new favorite. I can't wait to try more. Though, I enjoy heading to the Maple St. location customer service definitely needs to be worked on. When I entered, I wasn't greeted & the young lady working didn't seem to want to say anything to me. All in all, I'll be back because of the cookies & it being the closest location to get to.

When your inner cookie monster needs feeding this is where you go. Yummy cookies served warm and toasty from the oven. If you simply want to just get a single cookie to feed a craving they got you. Want a cookiewich they got those too! Want to take some to work or school? They have cookie boxes you fill with your choice from their selection, or have them delivered. You can even get a scoop of ice cream to go with that warm large cookie. AND they are open until 3 am! The only draw back I see is they have very little seating. It's too bad they don't have an area for a couple of little tables outside. It would be a perfect meetup place with the girls!

Such a fangirl when it comes to Insomnia Cookies. For years in college, I watched in agony as my internet friends indulged in warm, gooey cookies from this place. I saw them getting cookies delivered in the late night hour and sharing such bliss by Instagramming each morsel to torture me. And then, Insomnia came to New Orleans. Surprisingly enough, Insomnia arrived on Maple immediately after I graduated from college. What a bust, I thought. Until I moved uptown and visited this spot after one too many whiskey cokes at Bruno's. (my collegiate stomping grounds, might I add. While I'm at it, Tulanians, you should beat it. Bruno's is Loyolo territory, fam. And don't you forget it.) Anywho, I was in cookie heaven from the first time I saw that sign lighting up in all it's pride and glory. Two chocolate chip cookies is what I asked the gentleman for behind the counter who served me, and soon enough I became a Stan of Insomnia. The cookies are served warm on the inside and chewy on the outside. My regular favorite may be the classic chocolate chip, but I go for the s'mores deluxe cookie when I'm feeling real fancy. Yesterday I ordered delivery for the first time, which was super speedy. I winded up ordering the two cookies and a milk combo as well as a deluxe cookie with a scoop of ice cream. I like that they put the ice cream in a separate container so it doesn't melt while transporting. In closing, I'm addicted to the damn cookies and they need a punch card for customers (if that isn't a thing there yet). I also appreciate that they hire nearby students. Although, I'm glad this spot wasn't on Maple St. when I was in college. That freshman 15 would've been more like a freshman 30 for ya girl.

I first found out about this place in an Eater New Orleans article last year so I was pretty excited to finally try this place out almost a year later. A lot of students get caught up with studying and sometimes have to pull all nighters. You either have a bunch of snacks lined up to tackle the night or you simple have no snacks and are craving something sweet. If it's the latter, then Insomnia Cookies has just what you need because they close at 3AM every night! The moment I found out this place opened, I stopped by to grab a few cookies for my friends and me. Before stopping by, I tried to order online for takeout but the ready times were unbelievably long. I assume it was made-to-order for customers. I stopped by and the place looks quite nice and fit perfectly on Maple Street. It was my first time at an Insomnia Cookies store, so I was shocked to see more than just cookies. I was glad to see ice cream and ice cream "cookiewiches" on the menu for those who just can't settle for only cookies. I ordered the Chocolate Chunk, Double Chocolate Mint, Oatmeal Raisins, White Chocolate Macadamia. I was tempted to get some ice cream, but I definitely would have gotten insomnia from having too much sweets! The staff pulled the cookies out of I would assume a warmer and put it in a nice box for me. I was glad I decided to just stop by to order. From my friends' and my experiences, the cookies we had were good! These cookies would be perfect for everyone studying at anytime of day and they offer delivery which is huge for Tulane, Loyola, and Xavier students!

These are clutch for a late night craving. The cookies arrive warm so there isn't a need to nuke them upon arrival. They are still tasty if you don't eat them all upon arrival if you have to microwave them. S'mores is the best deluxe cookie.

Order a mixed box of Vegan Cookies, my sister and I were baked . We enjoyed every crumb. I just love warm cookies.

Ummmmm yes! I had an insomnia cookie two blocks from my apartment in college and I spent a lot of time there. So now that this is a short bike ride from my house and a shorter walk from my office I feel "youthful" again haha. I think at this point I tried every cookie and have not yet been disappointed, except with the mint cookie but ya know that's just personal preference I bet it would taste delicious with ice cream. Most recently I ventured into the world of the cookiewich and I'm never leaving. I knew it was possible but uhh I just still can't believe how good it actually turned out. I'll definitely be visiting again and feel no shame when it's 1 AM and I want a cookie and there's not one in sight at home.

Super thoughtful and remember their regulars. Appreciate how kind and customer service oriented they are. The drivers always call to let you know they've got your order at the door. And tonight, they surprised us with some extra cookies just because :) love for a great late night snack!

The cookies tasted amazing but the ice cream was melting all over the place. The service was great and even funny characters working the place. It's open late which is awesome if you craving sweets late at night. I loved their macadamia nut and double chocolate chunk cookies. I think they should add more chairs maybe coffee or water. But it's a funny college concept. They have milk for your cookies and you can buy big quantities and make custom ice cream sandwiches with their cookies. So it tastes good just missing a few things that could make it way better.

Yes!!!! I've ordered late night, gone in store and gifted a delivery and there is nothing like warm melty happiness! You should try them all, but try the chocolate peanut butter one first! They deliver until 3 am (you can download the app to make it easier)! And the cookies arrive still WARM! It's amazing. I just noticed every sentence in this review so far ends in am exclamation point, but that is how happy these cookies make me!! In store, the guy was friendly and helpful, and when one cookie broke, he gave us a new one (even though we told him it would taste the same!) and then let us have the broken one for free. How nice!

I. Am. Done. with Insomnia Cookies in New Orleans. The cookies are amazing. Delivery time window and customer service needs improvement. On 08/13-I ordered cookies at 22:28. They arrived at 23:39, and my delivery location was only 1.3 miles away. Fine. I get it--it was a busy Friday night and you had a lot of orders. That's reasonable. What's not reasonable is the following: I received the wrong order. I called the local store's number and of course I'm routed to the national number. I inform them that I received the wrong order. The phone rep has to contact the local store to resolve my issue. By the time the national phone rep answered my call and got in touch with the local store, my ordered had been delivered to the other person whose order I had and they had already called in. I give her the name on the incorrect order and she tells me they are going to swap out the incorrect order I received with the correct one. IN A PANDEMIC! The driver was to go get my order from the other person and bring it to me and bring her order, which I received, to her. 23:51: To add further insult to injury, I get a call from someone at the local store and they asked, "Have you touched the cookies?" What the actual frick!? I informed her no and that I noticed the name on the order and called in. So the driver is supposed to make the swap. 00:02 I get a call from the driver asking me for the name of the order. He then tells me he's going to see if they can get Postmates to deliver to me the correct order. Pssst! (whisper) This should have been the initial solution. He has to call the store, however, to make sure his boss approved his plan. This guy knew the right thing to do. 00:12 The driver calls back. He has spoken to his manager and they are just going to bake new cookies for me to and deliver them to me. He assures me it's not going to take another hour since he's right up the street from me (should have been the case the first time). 00:28 The driver shows up with the cookies that I ordered at 22:29. Two hours later. In this window of time, I could have ordered several pizzas and had them delivered to me, even with an order mix up. Additionally, how do you trust that I had not opened the box and touched the cookies!?! Who is making the risk management decisions at this place? But wait. There's more. Today, 08/21- I ordered cookies at 22:07. They arrived at 00:55. THREE HOURS FOR SIX COOKIES. Whoever owns this franchise: PAY UP. Hire more drivers and pay them well. Hire better staff with better decision quality skills. Stop half-assing it and damaging the Insomnia brand that I fell in love with in NYC.

I have nothing but great things to say about Insomnia cookies!!! They are absolutely delicious! The cookies just melt in your mouth. If you're looking for a late night snack, this is the place to go.

This location is a joke. An embarrassment to the Insomnia Cookie brand. I have tried contacting staff, management, even corporate about the terrible customer service, inconsistent product availability, horrendous wait times-(2-3 times longer than quoted) and cold not freshly baked product. Tonight (after 20 orders at least) I am DONE. Out of those 20 orders, maybe half were accurate, fresh and on time. Tonight I never received my order. A friend ordered after me and received his order in about 45 minutes as quoted. I was quoted 30-40 minutes and no exaggeration at 1 hour 36 minutes I asked for cancellation and refund. ABSURD.
