I visited this Penn Station location at around 8:50 AM on October 17, 2025. The manager on duty, Anaya, assisted me at the register. When I asked for my cookies to be warmed, another employee (a young Black woman assisting Anaya) repeatedly said, “It says it’s HOT,” in a belittling tone, referring to the “Caution Hot” sticker. She continued to repeat this out loud, facing no one but loud enough for me to hear even as I was leaving, which felt unnecessarily disrespectful.
When I returned a few minutes later to address the issue, the rude girl went to the back and did not apologize. I spoke to Anaya and she just brushed it off, saying that the helper meant nothing by it, even when I pointed out her tone was meant to belittle me for not noticing the sticker. This is disgusting customer service. It is very easy to just point out “It’s already warmed,” rather than the childish speaking out loud in a belittling tone, facing no one, but making your remark loud enough to hear. It’s obvious what her intention was. I did not receive an apology from anyone.
