"With more than 20 locations around the city (including this one inside Penn Station) Insomnia Cookies makes a product that’s much better than it needs to be, considering that a major selling point of this place is that they’ll deliver warm, sugary carbs to your door as late as 3am. Who could be mad at a thing like that? The Chocolate Chunk is crisp on the outside, soft in the middle, and a little too sweet—though in a way that’s comfortingly reminiscent of how we liked them when we were kids. We also have a soft spot for Insomnia’s nostalgic M&M’s cookie. And the goods also hold up reasonably well, by the time the next day has rolled around and you’re wondering if ordering a dozen snickerdoodles to the bar was such a good idea (it was). photo credit: Emily Schindler" - Molly Fitzpatrick
