Insomnia Cookies

Insomnia is always a good choice for something sweet. They have many different cookies along with different ice cream flavors. We tried the peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream, and it was amazing! It was a limited time flavor, but they should really consider adding it to the regular menu!

Finally tried Insomnia Cookies after I got a cash back offer from my bank. Ice cream sandwich with warm cookie was great. Minus one star because it's overpriced.

There was a girl and guy working the evening of 7/16 that talked to me about Attack on Titan and hooked my kids up with some delicious treats. Whatever you pay those two, it's not enough.

Pretty good but my cookie had a wrapper baked in it, so that was pretty gross

Pass. Absolutely nothing special about these cookies. $50 for a basic undercooked cookies that weren’t warm. 🫠 Go with the other cookie company.

I drove from Oceanside to pick up Insomia cookies. I have came here three times in the past month; the customer service isn't the best... which is why I have rated this location a 3-star. However, the cookies are good. I've had to wait for cookies to be made because they never have them on stock. The Cashier is typically in the back and doesn't greet customers when walking into the empty location. This past experience, the employee was behind the counter but seemed to be too busy scraping cookies off trays to welcome not only myself, but several other customers who came in and eventually left without ordering possibly due to the confusion. Not sure if the workload is too much for one employee to run between baking, cleaning, and serving, but it's really not that warm welcoming feeling.

Love Nicole!!! After @doordash left my order by a gate at the wrong address and the driver wouldn’t answer the phone, the amazing person (Nicole) @insomniacookies, remade the order and had the warm and delicious vegan cookies delivered…to the right address. Amazing cookies…awesome customer service!!!

Friend and I got a deluxe + 5 cookies. Walnut raisin chocolate deluxe with snickerdoodle, strawberry chocolate, white chocolate macadamia, mint chocolate, and chocolate chunk. Cookies were all good but mostly not worth the price, would say try the unique flavors here like the strawberry chocolate or the deluxe ones because the more popular flavors will taste exactly like typical storebought cookies.

Visiting friends in La Jolla. Our host had these delivered. Oatmeal raisin and snickerdoodle very good. I am sure they would have tasted better hot and fresh from the oven as they were delivered by Door Dash.

Came here.. well... more like stumbled here after a night out in PB. I had an itching for something sweet all week. So I was happy to find this place. The cookies and ice cream were huge. But it didn't quite hit like I needed it to. Me and my group ordered two things: Classic 6 pack of cookies and an ice cream sandwich. For the 6 pack our favorites were the double chocolate mint, and snickerdoodle. For the ice cream sandwich we had the top cookie a s'mores deluxe and the bottom cookie a confetti deluxe. Unfortunately our top options for cookies were out. We came right after midnight on Sunday morning, so that was a bit disappointing especially since they don't close until 3am on Sunday morning. Service was quick. There wasn't a lot of people in there so we had all day to pick and they didn't seem annoyed that we didn't know what we wanted. The inside of this location is small. One group of 4 was already in side and had already orders and it feel cramped with our group of 4 inside with them. Definitely a place that's meant to grab and go. Either way it was a 3.5 out of 5. That extra .5 star is because the ice cream sandwich is huge. I'm not sure if the cookies are THAT good to justify the price but you gotta at least try it once to judge for yourself.

Hot and fresh cookies?! WINNING! We stopped at Insomnia on our way home and what followed was a casual dining experience to full on cookie assault on our minds. I also grabbed a blondie as if our splurge wasn't enough. This place is cuuuute! They pull cookies from a magical oven below the counter and it's heavenly. And they're so delicious! I know it's hard to gauge how fresh something truly is when it's warm like this but... ugh.... I don't even mind being fooled. This was amazing. My favorite was the red velvet and oatmeal. I can't wait to come back!

Popped in while waiting for our to-go order nearby, a bit pricey but can't beat warm cookies & brownies. You can add ice cream too. Everything looked really good, my brownie was divine!

I went there yesterday and was greeted by a very friendly worker. He was very helpful and he also suggested if I would like some ice cream with my cookie order. We need more friendly smiling faces in this tough world. It was very refreshing to be greeted by such a friendly face. I will definitely visit again! I believe his name was Rowan. He is so helpful and very tentative and he also repeated my order to make sure he heard me correctly! Thank you

Walked in and was greeted right away. Nicole was super nice and personable. She was super nice because we had missed PJ night she still gave us the deal. The cookies here are amazing. They were fresh and warm right out the oven. My wife's favorite is the chocolate chip chunk. Thank you Insomnia and Nicole for tasty cookies and great customer service. We will definitely be back.

Came here on a weekday afternoon. There was one other person in store and one employee. We were greeted and ordered. I ordered a chocolate chunk, double chocolate chunk and double chocolate mint. There had been a large order prior to us arriving so we were informed it would be a 5 minute wait. We decided to wait. There was an odd smell in the air that I could nit place and someone else who came into the store commented on it as well. As a bonus for waiting we got a peanut butter and jelly cookie. The chocolate chunk was good. I didn't eat it hot and it was still tasty. They remind me of thicker version of great american coookie company (not sure if they existed in malls on the west coast like they did in the midwest). The double chocolate chunk was super tasty. I enjoyed this one the second most. I did not try the mint cookie but my husband said it was very mint heavy (he likes mint so not sure if that is a positive or a negative). The stand out cookie by far was the peanut butter and jelly cookie which is a cookie I NEVER would have ordered as I do not like peanut butter cookies. This one was only lightly flavored of peanut butter but the sweet jelly flavors came through (if you don't like super sweet cookies may want to skip them). I am glad I tried them and will scoop some up if I am in the area but I have another cookie place that is closer to me, who has cookies I like more.

Disappointed! Hubby wanted a cookie cake for his bday. I ordered delivery and when delivery arrived was handed the box, driver left. When I look down on the box, there written on my receipt was "the cake broke so I gave whatever sorry" opened the box to find an assortment of different flavor cookies (only two chocolate chunk when the cake I ordered was all chocolate chunk" I understand things happen but honestly I should've been called and asked if an assortment of cookies was an ok replacement for the cake or do I want my money back or maybe make a new cake?! Note was rude and customer svc was no good. The two chocolate chunk cookies were good but I did not care for the other flavors. $32 down the drain.

I love insomnia cookies! I have to say I love it more than crumbl cookies. My favorite flavors currently are double mint chocolate chip (reminds me of Andes candy), candy apple, confetti cake, everything I have tried from here tastes home made especially the classic cookies, not too thick which is perfect for me. I also love the ice cream too it goes perfectly with the cookies and has a homemade taste to it. I highly recommend getting your sweets here if you have an appetite for deserts. Also the customer service here is great. The Filipino guy who helped me near closing time was very friendly and answered all my questions.

So I did not plan on doing a review for Insomnia Cookies but when I ate these cookies, I was truly blown away. I ordered the Vegan Birthday Cake cookie, the Reese's Peanut Butter Filled Deluxe cookie and the Sugar cookie. ALL OF THEM were on point! That Vegan Birthday Cake cookie was just as good as the others. The Reese's cookie was warm and decadent. I thought about going to get another one today. Both times I went (I picked up an order for my students one day and an order for myself the second day) the store was empty. I was able to pick up my orders at the time I requested to pick them up. The store is located on a street with street parking. But if you order ahead, you can attempt to park in the lot off of Cass and Hornblend real quick and hurry back. The workers are chill and nice. It is not a space with seating inside, this is more of a togo store. They got other items besides cookies. They have ice cream, ice cream cookie sandwiches, icing, cookie cakes and more. They also cater. Looking forward to going back for another Reese's Peanut Butter Filled Deluxe.

The cookie place we usually go to was closed on New Year's Eve and we really wanted some cookies so we decided to head to Insomnia. It was my first time and I was pleasantly surprised by how good the cookies were. They were hot, tasted fresh and were melt in your mouth delicious. There was no one else in there when we went in but there were three employees. All three were very sweet and let us know what was available and what wasn't. Parking is what it is and I wouldn't hold it against them. Overall a good experience!

Their chocolate cookies and oatmeal walnut cookies are my family's favorite. It would perfect if the cookies are just a bit less sweet.

We had these delivered to our hotel via Uber Eats while staying in Pacific Beach. OMG they were SO good. They were delivered warm and were soft, fresh and delicious. We had chocolate chunk, m&m, peanut butter, white chocolate macadamia nut, snickerdoodle and double chocolate chunk. All of them were delicious..my favorite was the peanut butter though. We also tried the chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream. Plenty of chunks of cookie dough so I loved it. This place is definitely worth a try !

Insomnia Cookies Is Great! Kudos to the cookie expert who makes them. I have ordered for delivery a few times now and they are consistently very good, they arrive warm and fresh every single time. As long as insomnia is here, I will not be getting my cookie fix from any other cookie franchise.

Ummmm wow! How have I lived in PB 5 years and not been here?! I was a baked bear regular but this is now going to be my go to cookie spot! I got one of their cookie sandwiches and it was incredible. The cookies are way bigger than baked bears cookies and super fresh. This addiction is about to be real!

Every company has their A squad (the best at everything), B squad (employees who are working on their skills but aren't too bad), C squad (the employees that do not give two cents, they work just for the pay check. Well tonight was the C squad group. Zero enthusiasm, interest, customer service. Our local USPS office has better customer service. This was our first time into the location and it was not pleasant to say the least. It seemed every question was inconveniencing them. Asked for 12 mini cookies and "those are made to order only". I understand that concept but the way it was expressed lacked customer relations expereince. I brought my wallet out and started counting the cash, she replied hasty "we don't except cash". Maybe it was that walking in there wasn't a sense of welcomeness that started the whole experience downhill. But it was not pleasant and the C squad was in full swing of making me the customer feel like an inconvenience.

Best option for late night cookie cravings. My son has a sweet tooth and we have used insomnia cookies for years from when he was a boy!

honestly, it was a pretty damn good cookie. it was nice and gooey in the middle and crispy on the outsides, so if you like that type of cookie texture, this place is for you. the vegan birthday cake flavor tasted just like the tollhouse sugar cookie (in a good way). it's also nice that they actually have a few cookie flavors to offer that are vegan. i just wish that for how much you pay, the cookie was a bit bigger. but otherwise, no complaints. the cookies are ready to serve, so obviously we got our cookies quickly. the people working were nice. the place is just a counter and no seating.

Not much of a sweets person, but the smell dragged me in, and I had to try one. Ended up with the snickerdoodle and some sorta confetti cake deal. Thought they might be dry and got a tub o extra frosting. Fast foward sugar coma since I ate all of it at once. Dang good stuff.

Came here for the first time. We came on a Saturday night and it wasn't too. The guy behind the counter was courteous. We had: birthday cookie, white peanut butter, Double Chocolate Mint Cookie, White Chocolate Macadamia Cookie, Chocolate Chunk Cookie & Snickerdoodle Cookie These were some of the best cookies I've had. I like that the sides were crunchy and the inside was soft. My favorite was probably the chocolate chunk cookies. If you're looking for a late night snack come check this place out. I promise you, you will not be disappointed. Thank you Insomnia for a great first time experience! We will definitely be back.

Pretty good for my first impression... had some time to kill while waiting for some Square Pizza across the street. Tried the white chocolate macadamia, double chunk chocolate, and double chocolate mint. I LOVED the chocolate mint, perfect amount of both. All cookies were served warm and gooey... they were all nice and soft. Almost $8 for 3 cookies isn't bad. Service was okay, nothing memorable. Recommend if you're already in the area

June 14 11:40 AM. Insomnia Cookies emails me about Father's Day cookie promotion for the week. June 14 3pm. Arrive at Insomnia Cookies and order the Father's Day cookie box and a deluxe cookie. Girl at the counter informs me the promotion is only for the weekend. Dejected I walk down the block and drown my sorrows with a steak sandwich from Steak N Fries. June 14 7pm. Email Insomnia Cookies customer service for clarification. June 14 8pm. Customer service states the store has been emailed that the promotion has started already. June 16 11:45am. After driving around the block was able to locate a parking spot. Note there is not much parking in Pacific Beach in the summer. Ordered the Father's Day cookie box and a deluxe cookie. Girl at the counter informs me the promotion is only for the weekend. me: I have an email from customer service stating the promotion has already started. girl at the counter: My manager says the promotion starts this weekend. me: Let me talk to your manager. girl at the counter: Manager is not in right now. me: How about you call and let me talk to the manager? girl at the counter: He's not on shift right now so I can't call him. me: How about you read the emails I have? girl at the counter: I will make an exception this time. Confetti deluxe cookie was about twice the size of the regular cookies. Most soft with crispy edges. Sugar cookie base was delicious while rainbow sprinkles and white chocolate chips gave this cookie an extra sweet kick. My favorite cookie. Snickerdoodle tasted just like a sugar cookie with some cinnamon flavor. Nice and soft with crispy edges. Classic with M&M's tasted like a chocolate chip cookie loaded with M&M's Loved the flavor. Nice and soft with crispy edges. Oatmeal raisin featured a delicious oatmeal cookie with raisins giving this cookie a sweet kick. I noticed they now serve Bon Suisse ice cream which owns Alta Dena, Knudsen and Foremost. Insomnia Cookies has a great Father's Day celebration with delicious cookies but there seems to be a disconnect between corporate promotions and local management.

The employees were super sweet and accommodating. There was some issues in using and online only coupon and they helped us out I store. I love there sugar cookies especially when warmed in an ice cream sandwich definitely one of my go to cookie craving places especially with the later than normal hours.

It's a pretty quaint shop with little to no effort in decor. Walking in, there wasn't a single insta-worthy thing about it.. from the cookies to the store itself. Their cookies were average and overpriced. Our cashiers/servers were so out of it showing no sense of customer service at all and even came off rude altogether. Not a business I would spend my money on again.

Ordered a 10-inch chocolate chip cookie cake for a birthday! So nice that you can choose between buttercream or cream cheese frosting, and the option to include many different toppings! I chose the cream cheese frosting with M&M's on top. Everyone loved the cookie cake. It kept super well even through the next couple days! So glad they have curbside pick-up! Parking is so tough in the area, so it's nice that I can pull up right in front and get my order delivered to the car.

I love insomnia and they're cookies, but this pertains to the young lady 5'4-5'5 in height with mid length dark brown hair tied in a clip helping @ the register tonight 8/5/23 @9pm I truly don't appreciate having a bag of cookies snatched from me and new bag basically thrown @ me because YOU misheard my order because it was obviously busy and loud inside. I was really nice to you and not sure what you're going through but I hope it was worth the way you treat ppl you'll never see again. Hopefully you just get moved to the back so you don't have to deal with ppl since your service is so poor

It was my first time here today. They were very friendly and the cookies are delicious! I couldn't wait to take a picture first before taking a bite, as you'll see in the photo. I got a box of 6. Starting on the left and going back: Classic with M&M's, Double Chocolate Mint, Chocolate Chunk, Vegan Birthday Cake, White Chocolate Macadamia, and Double Chocolate Chunk Cookie. Each one is very delicious. This is a good gift idea, so I'll have to come back!

Stopped by here after getting dinner in PB because we were craving something sweet. From a distance, the shop looked closed because it was so dark inside. We just wanted one cookie and asked the staff their recommendations. We chose a snickerdoodle cookie. It was fine, maybe even kinda small. I wasn't too impressed with it, seemed like a basic cookie. I'm hoping I choose a better flavor next time I visit!

Perfect cookies! Exactly what you would want and envision in a cookie: warm, gooey center, crispy edges, flavorful. Perfectly sized! I love the peanut butter and the mint chocolate chip. You will love this place. Open late is such a plus too.

The cookies were not amazing because they were a little too sweet and hurt my head. Also the snickerdoodle felt a little plain but the chocolate chip was not bad. I wouldn't really come back unless I REALLY wanted cookies

First time ordering. Placed order online Forgot to add milk. Immediately called the location to add milk to order. The girl said they can't add to order and HUNG up On me for questioning it. I called back and her male coworker answered. I asked if we could add milk to order and just pay driver cash or pay on app. I was told to add one milk, i would be charged another fee. They even took the time to write "NO FREE MILK " on the box (as shown in photo ). Follow d by a heart Seriously? Super rude to write that for kids to see on their cookie order. Dear, i wasn't asking for free milk for or order. Just needed it added. If she wrote this on box, goodness knows what she may do to the food. Awful. Just awful. Cookie Monster would be sad and not eat your cookies.

Got a late night cookie craving? Insomnia cookies has got you! Served fresh, warm, and delicious; their cookies taste homemade right out of the oven. Even when delivered! Snickerdoodle is a long standing favorite. I tried the new Oatmeal Chocolate Walnut Deluxe, but it had too much cinnamon for my liking. The new Salted Caramel Deluxe however, was perfection!

Ong the cookies are literally to die for. They melt in your mouth! I literally dream about their peanut butter cookies. 10/10 I'm coming back!

I'm pretty good at baking cookies, so I was surprised to see how much Insomnia was selling for theirs. We were waiting for our food next door, so we decided to get some dessert beforehand. My friend and I decided to share the s'mores ones since those are a little harder to make. I liked that they warm up the cookie, so it's warm and gooey. The version we got was actually pretty huge too! I enjoyed this little snack while waiting for our food to be ready. Looks like it's a popular spot too!

The Vegan and gluten-free options were greatly appreciated but the prices are a bit high for the size of the cookies. We ordered the Gluten Free Chocolate Chunk and Vegan Birthday Cake. Decent service. Nothing to write home about‍

This place is so yummy I've heard so many things about this place and was not disappointed when I finally tried it! The cookies are so soft and warm, and they have about 15 different cookies to choose from. I ordered the peanut butter cup cookie with chocolate ice cream and it was delicious!! The cookie was so warm it paired perfectly with the ice cream. I'm excited to come back and try a new cookie!

My favorite cookie that I got from this batch is the double chocolate mint cookie! It's not the same as eating a girl's scout mint cookie, but it's better because you get actual chocolate chip chunks mixed in with these mint chips. What I like most about the cookies is that the edges are kinda crunchy and then you get to the center and it's softer than a cloud. The texture contrast was really addicting. Second favorite is definitely the white chocolate macadamia cookie! So if anything, get those two cookies to try out and you will not be disappointed!

SO GOOD. I loved the s'mores cookie, and the oatmeal chocolate walnut. On the softer side for cookies - which is my preference. Ordered the box with a good mix of different flavors. We had it delivered and our box came quickly. Highly recommend!

While in the area we were looking for a sweet treat while picking up dinner for another local hot spot. We used Yelp and found Insomnia Cookies. Takeout was available so we stopped in to grab what we read were the "best cookies" and went with a special they had that included mini cookies. They only take electronic payments, no cash, so in case your a cash only person, be prepared. Most of the cookie orders really focused on cookie sandwiches but give that we still needed to eat our dinner we were picking up we weren't sure it was the right move & would last that long (ice cream part). The mini cookies left us hangin'. Looking back, we probably should have gotten the full-size cookies as the mini's we picked up tasted absolutely no different than a packet of mini-toll house break-aways. Yeap, these mini's just didn't leave a great impression... Even after picking them up, they traveled with us back home and we still have cookies left. We decided to turn them into cookie crumbs for ice cream at home. Would recommend getting the full-size cookies to anyone looking. They get a solid 3 stars for our 1st time as someone could have sold us on getting the best cookies. I do have them bookmarked for a return trip to see if they live up to the hype!!

These cookies are so delicious! They have a nice texture, soft but with a little bit of a bite. They also have a lot of different flavors to choose from as well as sides if that's your thing. Unfortunately, they were out of some of the flavors I wanted when I came in, but that was expected as I came in pretty close to closing time. The service was great and I will definitely be back for more cookies when I have a late night craving!

Ordered on DoorDash, only to find out that they deliver with their own drivers via DoorDash. Waited an hour for them, and the order still showed as "preparing". Then suddenly they marked the order as delivered. I was watching the app the whole time and it went from "preparing" to "delivered". I immediately went outside and there was no one there. Messages DoorDash support and they said the restaurant claimed to delivered it and they have to send it to a special team to refund and determine the issue. Lol such a sham. Really shady practices. 0 stars if I could. Maybe you should have DoorDash deliver it for you and get with the 21st century rather than trying to play some games with your "own drivers".

Ughhh my sweet, sweet love. I don't like the service, except when I impulsively door dashed and had a nice guy hand these warm babies over but in the store u get a bunch of apathetic kids that don't bother to throw in a smile when they see how wide your eyes beam, the sudden pep in your step as u walk in to the smell of warm gooey heaven. The reason why it has me driving far to get these cookies and only these is bc they precisely bake them, magically smash the chocolate chips down so that even when u eat them the next day at room temperature, mind you, it still manages to stay melted. Effortlessly melted as if u threw them in the oven. Call it voodoo magic but I don't normally buy cookies and still have them perfectly set so that the edges are crisp, inside is gooey and the chocolate melts in your mouth. Try them before u judge them. U will then be enlightened by the melt, u will then see the light as I. I'm not a fan of chocolate chip cookies where u have to spend your hard earned warmth and time to melt them down, I'd just spit them out. Their chocolate chip cookie is *chefs kiss* from crunch to melt to glass o' creamy oat milk. Need I say more? Sometimes when I feel extra wild I'll throw in the double chocolate chunk. It hits the spot as well but chocolate chip is my first love. Usually that's during my luteal phase, but I digress.

Came across insomnia cookies while walking around PB! I got the strawberry shortcake , white chocolate macadamia, chocolate chunk & snickerdoodle. They were alll so goood and warm! They were about $2.25ea. They have deluxe cookies for $4. They also make ice cream sandwhiches and cookie cakes! Definitely will be back again!!
