David, Britt and Lord are amazing, I highly recommend asking them that their specialty drinks, I had the mocha and it was so good. I went back and ordered a specialty oat milk cayenne pepper latte. The team is just so welcoming, and I love that they have the indoor outdoor areas to both work. Relax and just enjoy.

Cute coffee and pastry location in the heart of Hollywood right across the street from the Hollywood stars. Good coffee although I was dining in and wish they would have put the Lattes in a nice cozy mug. The presentation of the pastries in a bag and coffee in a cardboard cup could be better. I’d suggest putting pastries in a plate for dine in customers. Otherwise the coffee was hot and they heated up the almond croissant and cinnamon roll that tasted great. Average customer service, could be more friendly.

Amazing cappuccino, but can you please replace those lids with a normal/regular one. There is no way you can't spill it on yourself if you have it to go.

As a fellow coffee trainer/barista who worked with intelligentsia in the past. I was happy to find a spot to have their great coffee beans, the coffee shop layout and machinery were great as always but tried to engage the crew ( was a very chill time) but they didn't give attention and kept the bare minimum to the questions I've made. Left with a bag in hands for a try at home since the staff was not interested in delivering a customer. Which is the most important thing in coffee. Frustrating...

The place itself it bare of decoration, just nothing. Service was so-so. The iced coffee and banana nut bread were delicious.

This coffee shop is great, and the coffee is delicious. It's right in the heart of Hollywood Boulevard--not the cleanest area, but this spot is perfect for studying and getting work done.

Was around the Hollywood area and wanted to try a new coffee place! The coffee shop is super nice, has a lot of outlets. Definitely peaceful enough to get work done! The service was great, the baristas were super helpful and attentive. I had told them how I love a sweet coffee and they had recommended me Avena iced coffee. I think the coffee was decent... for all ingredients the coffee brought it wasn't as unique as I thought it would have been. I would say this place got stars for how welcoming the baristas were, unfortunately I wasn't fully sold on this coffee /:

Love this coffee place much better tasting espresso than Starbucks. The staff is ok not super friendly but not rude just, reserved and quiet. Usually I'm there in the morning so it's quiet space and rarely busy. My drinks are usually made quickly and accurately.

Good coffee with friendly staff. Water was available at a self-serve while waiting which really came in handy with it being very warm outside while walking up and down the strip.

Intelligentsia Coffee was a lovely reprieve from the chaos of the Hollywood strip. They had a nice balance of "trendy" coffee drinks on their menu as well as the classics. I tried an espresso tonic, which almost felt like I was drinking a cocktail with the additional of the orange bitters, but was still quite good. Seems like a very solid coffee shop in this part of LA

I've been using Intelligentsia black cat espresso at home for a while now so I was really excited to try a latte from their own coffee shop. The coffee shop was clean and very open, definitely a lot of space to work or hangout. They have a lot of merch too, so you can bring home coffee or espresso beans (I recommend it!). The two baristas were friendly and I ordered the avena latte. It was delicious! Definitely worth giving a try.

Great environment with lots of big windows. Service was super fast. Got one of their specialty drinks, but when they handed it to me, it was not filled to the top. Seemed like it was missing 1/4 of the drink. Tasted nice and refreshing.

It's all in the name... Intelligentsia Is it Italian, is it a status, is it something to strive for?!? The shop is sleek and modern in a place where nothing else is. Smack dab in the center of gritty Hollywood Blvd. is Intelligentsia and I had to think "what Dummy put this nice place here?' None the less I needed a bathroom break and a coffee shop seemed like a perfect respite. Upon asking, the bathroom lock code was expertly whispered. I found the restrooms just like the lobby sleek modern and very clean. The cursory purchase was a smart soda of some sort I chose lemon lime. The can promised it was not only wholesome but beneficial to my well-being. My cash was declined so a credit card it was for a simple can of soda. The soda was $5 bucks. So who's not so Intelligentsia now. I decided to sit and enjoy said well-being soda and a request for the Wifi pass word was expertly whispered. As I was leaving I noticed no garbage cans anywhere so I just set my empty can on the counter by the door. My takeaway was no cash and no trash.

Here's why I gave it a 3/5 -it's really cold inside so I'd recommend bringing a jacket (a plus on hot days) -chunky coffee after 2 hours -hard to find parking and if you do you have to pay. -plenty of outlets -great environment

Ive seen Intelligentsia in Whole Foods for quite some time and wasn't blown away with what I've purchased so I was a bit apprehensive visiting their coffee shop on Hollywood Blvd. the store sits on the corner with tons of windows in the modern decor. It's very clean inside and the baristas were incredibly friendly. The pastries looked a little blah to be honest so I didn't bother trying one. I looked through the specialty drink section of the menu and found the Avena Latte very interesting with oat milk, orange peel, ginger, vanilla and cinnamon but I'm not about that cayenne pepper so I ordered one without it. DAYUMMM was this a good drink! The cinnamon hits first then a taste that reminds me of panna cotta comes through with mild flavors of ginger are left on the tongue. This is a destination coffee for me and I will forever stop at Intelligentsia coffee to have it. I gave it four stars for the lackluster pasty selection but perhaps I'll try one and see if it changes my mind. Maybe there's more to the food menu than I realize?

Had a very odd experience. Walked into a relatively quiet store when the customer in front of us was paying the cashier/barista, who said hello to us. We stood at the counter as she started to clean, sweeping with a broom and dustpan. Thought it might just be a spot clean for a spill or something, but she continued to sweep as if we weren't there with no mention of "let me know when you're ready" (which we were right away) or interest in helping us. It was as if we came at closing time, but it was the middle of their opening hours. We ended up just leaving - even if we asked for her to take our order then I was concerned she may not wash her hands before preparing our drinks. I do not understand why you'd pick up non urgent cleaning when the next customer in line is right there unless you didn't have interest in serving them.

We planned to go to lunch nearby but the vendor was closed so we headed here for a quick coffee before lunch (and hoped to get a good clean bathroom too). The aesthetic is very modern and minimalist, which is nice and comfortable, especially in the summer heat (well air conditioned). The menu is simple but plentiful. My mom is relatively picky about her espressos and cappuccinos and she loved her cappuccino. I ordered an iced oat matcha latte with a dash of sweetener and it was great. Overall, a nice sweet spot in the middle of the Hollywood when you need a little break (or a bathroom stop -- if you're a paying customer).

Expensive matcha latte and not great service. This place is super convenient and the matcha latte is decent but I wouldn't be back because it's overpriced and the staff, while friendly, were not super attentive. I waited a long time to be served and the staff were pretty unprofessional. The space itself if kind of nice. Plenty of indoor seating and on a weekday morning it wasn't terribly loud. Plenty of people with their laptops coming I. To do their thing. Great views of Hollywood Blvd so also good for people watching.

Please bring back the old pastries! The new pastry vendor is horrible and the quality is half of the previous pastry vendor. I come to this coffee shop at least three times a week and I'm spending less money and now having to go to two places to get what I need. Please fix this! The staff and the coffee is amazing but the pastries are horrible.

Actually good coffee, not bitter or tangy - Congrats :-) Fun vibe, streetwise, indoor and outdoor seating - some good pastries, $4-$6. I like that everything in served in real glass, ceramic, on a bamboo tray with a compostable fork

We've been craving Intelligentsia so we were happy to realize it was across the street from our event today. We ordered our usual almond milk latte and matcha latte. We branched out (lol) and ordered a peanut butter cookie that was topped with flaky sea salt. That cookie was good! They were kind enough to warm it up for us too. Thank you!

Coffee was good, but the breakfast sandwich was horrible and still cold in the middle. I kindly mentioned it to the the barista and she just rudely shrugged saying "there's nothing we can do after it's been opened." (Which I totally get - but she could've at least been nicer about it and offered me a different food item or something). As I was leaving, I complimented the coffee, but mentioned that they should consider heating the sandwiches longer in the future and both baristas rudely scoffed at me. Decent coffee - food and service need lots of improvement.

Had a great experience here today. The shop is clean and well put together. A great spot to grab a cup of coffee and people watch. The coffee itself was really good. Max at the counter was very helpful and provided great customer service. Honestly, he's the main reason I'll be coming back to this place.

I was making a few laps on Hollywood Blvd when I suddenly had a thirst. I was looking for somewhere, anywhere really to grab a quick beverage when all of a sudden, Intelligentsia appeared before me. It looked like the perfect spot, so I made my way inside to check out their selection. The Intelligentsia name was not foreign to me, as they have locations in several major metropolitan markets; I also remember seeing the name while browsing Yelp since they have a location in Manhattan. Walking in, I was pleasantly surprised to see a spacious interior with a large ordering counter, an open production area, and ample space to sit. They have mostly everything one would expect from a coffee shop, and since it was hot out I was looking at their cold tea selections. An iced black tea sounded perfect, and indeed it hit the spot. Service was friendly, and overall this was a welcome reprieve from the hustle and bustle of the boulevard.

Chai Latte is vegan and to die for! Great and speedy service without sacrificing quality.

Absolutely delicious coffee option and a little bit of respite on Hollywood Blvd. My friend and I were looking for a quick pit stop to catch up and warm up over a great cup of coffee. Intelligentsia definitely did the trick. My pistachio latte was rich, creamy, foamy and delicious. I would have licked my cup if I could have! I'm not a coffee snob but I can definitely say I really enjoy the coffee here! I will definitely be back and next time, perhaps with a laptop in hand to get some work done.

This is an iconic location smack dab in the middle of Hollywood that evokes a very warm and calm vibe. I'm not a big coffee shop frequenter but this was a chance to take a break and have a cuppa. The two baristas were very nice and personable, I ordered a Macchiato and my friend a Chai Latte. We opted to site on the bench overlooking Hollywood and Cahuenga, it was a beautiful day! It seemed to have taken a while for the drinks but when I picked them up I was so pleasantly surprised that they were presented in ACTUAL cups and saucers! That definitely sold me, so elegant and European! P.S. the coffee was very smooth and delicious!

Location is right on Hollywood Blvd. Expensive but the cashier was friendly, explained what the new latte was, took my order, and my iced latte was ready soon after that. Music is on a decent volume, not too loud. There was only one other person staying in the shop. The coffee is delicious! Just what I expected. I will be super caffeinated today.

Was in the area after a Runyon Hike and tried this place. Had the vanilla latte and Hazelnut Croissant. Both really good and hit the spot. Very chill ambiance and great service.

Great coffee and staff. Unfortunately not a place you want to stay for any length of time. The seating is stark (think Catholic Church pew but more uncomfortable) and the location is right in the middle of Hollywood's zombieland, which means the big beautiful windows look out onto wandering drug addicts and screaming crazies in wheelchairs. Also explains the security guard needed at the front door.

I was a regular customer of this shop and enjoyed stopping by every morning but at one point I realized my cup of coffee would get cold a lot quicker than I desired and so I requested that they make the drink extra-hot but this was my downfall, creating a lot of disagreements between me and the Baristas. I wasn't asking for anything special, only for the cup to be prepared at a higher than average temperature but I my order was rarely fulfilled the way I wanted. Interesting enough, I visited there with a friend and ordered a plain cup of cappuccino but I was spazzed at by one of the Baristas, telling me to never come back. I walked in today to speak to the manager but she asked me to leave way before I even got a chance to address the problem. Pushing further, my actions were depicted to be "rude" and unnecessary. Rest assured I will never go back there, it's just unfortunate that I spent a whole year visiting that store, thinking there was a bond but apparently I was a burden. Horrible customer service if you ask me.

Very industrial decor, staff are pleasant, and very animal friendly. They have unique drinks that I wouldn't have thought to put together but when you can always stick to what you know, coffee or water.

Used to be good: quality coffee gone downhill. Roast was so bad and acidic that I asked for honey and the guy said no. Just no. Not sorry we don't have honey, there's sugar or ect..

Awesome staff, clean café, and cool decor. I enjoyed visiting this Intelligentsia cafe in Hollywood--almost as cool as the ones in Chicago. I went for a classic almond milk latter and sparkling water. The baked treats looked delicious, although I stayed away for the sake of limiting carbs.

A human needs to be sagacious to evaluate and provide the purest opinion as possible. As a coffee enthusiast and for the sake of the drink history, today I have picked a coffee shop called "Intelligentsia", hoping to prove my self wrong again, sadly I was right. With a 6 dollars and .50 cents they were able to make a terrible latte. Under extracted coffee with a foam on top, I get your efforts, however you still need to work on a lot which will probably take one more page. I would not pay more than 3.25$, yes half of that price. I feel very underwhelmed when I see costumers have a lack of distinguishing what prime flavor is.

Loved this place until this morning. Practically got shammed for my matcha order. It's called breve and if the baristas were trained properly they would know what that meant. Instead they screamed my order and all the barista's laughed as if it was a joke. And they didn't even make my drink properly. Everybody turned and stared at me and it was rather embarrassing when I was just trying to do is come in for a cup of matcha after having a surgery. Won't be back.

Decided to give this spot a try after a friend recommended it. I'm not a coffee snob, so maybe I don't know great coffee; with that said, to me the coffee was just as good as I would get at a coffee bean, did like the cute heart on my latte. The staff not the friendliest, and kinda pricey; but it is Hollywood. Got there around 9am after doing the Hollywood hike, and was starting to get crowed with tourist.

Amazingly civilized coffee in the middle of the decidedly uncivilized stretch of Hollywood Blvd. On the corner of Cahuenga, it's an oasis for coffee lovers. The counter staff was super clean-cut, polite and efficient. Christopher L. was particularly helpful and friendly. The café is a pretty & modern minimalist space with red and black tiled ceiling, concrete, gold and black accents. "Persephone" is their spring offering, brewed to order and it's a pleasant, slightly floral coffee. I actually drank most of it black- that's how good it was! $5 per cup with extra in the carafe if you drink it in-house. I'm intrigued by their Nitro Matcha and will have to return for that one. They have a few food items and baked goods from local L.A. legends, Mr. Holmes' Bakehouse. There are TWO extraordinarily clean restrooms and you need to obtain the passcode from counter staff. I love how clean and organized the café space and the behind the counter area is. Welcome to Hollywood Blvd. Intelligentsia! Yelp Challenge 2019: 31/100

Came here on my day off in the morning and saw that there was plenty of street parking. I parked across the street, ran some errands, and stopped by shortly after. Walking into this place, you could sense the cleanliness. I placed my belongings at a spot beside the window and went to check out the menu. I ordered an Iced Matcha Latte with Almond Milk and settled in for my study session. I was then called over to pick up my beverage and noticed that there were no straws available; I thought this was awesome how this business supports the protection of our environment. The latte was soothing and smooth. I'd definitely order it again or try out their Nitro Matcha Latte in the future. Another plus was that the bathroom was so clean. Hopefully, they keep it this way to keep their guests coming. There was courteous service and a chill playlist. I'll be back.

Finally there's a new Intelligentsia in town. This location is perfect for people watching as it's located right on Hollywood Blvd. and has open windows all around. The space is kind of small, but there's plenty of bar style seating and a nice patio. I think this location is less geared for getting work done, unless you're the writer type. Instead, it's more of a spot to unwind and enjoy a strong espresso or coffee. The vibe is pretty cool during the day, but it's probably more chill in the evening when the noise from traffic dies down. There's metered parking along Hollywood and side streets, which is easy to access during the day...before 4pm, otherwise parking might be a bit challenging.

The brand certainly promises certain experiences - craft coffee, tea brewed before your eyes, and pastries full of crackle goodness. However, if you expect a staff that delivers prompt, friendly service: go to IHOP instead. Perhaps they were short-staffed the morning I visited -- one tall boy, present, pleasant, and swift -- was taking the order, then making the order. i thought "this poor kid, he's all by himself!" Well he wasn't. An unkind soul, came in from behind The curtain and began making drink orders. My order was taken at 8:45am, and at 8:53am, I exclaimed "where's my tea? I've been waiting 10 minutes!" to which, unpleasant staffmember shot back "no! You've been waiting 5 minutes!" I'm not one to quell a snarky individual, but, this isn't Starbucks. It's Intellgentsia. Proud brand. Delicious drinks and nibbles. But, I don't need an overworked coffee-maker to bite back that what I expected wasn't correct. Bottom line: Go to the coffee shop that is one block west on Hollywood. You'll actually receive the service you're expecting.

Neat, clean and modern coffee bar. Great customer service! We enjoyed our iced coffee and turmeric sparkling beverage on the patio. The tables outside were a bit dirty but that's to be expected of the careless people in hollywood that dont clean up after themselves. The patio is a bit noisy with the Hollywood blvd. Traffic, but that was our choice to sit outside. The sparkling turmeric bev was delish. Not sweet at all with a little kick from the cayenne and sparkles. Iced coffee wasnt anything to write home about...average at best. A bit watered down for my taste. The little bar by early bird was yummy...sweet and salty!
