We stayed at the TWA Hotel last night prior to traveling overseas. A short walk from our room on 4th floor of the hotel is Intelligensia Coffee. Not only the cafe a great design (classic TWA colors and 1960’s vibe), the coffee is ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️!! We ordered lattes, which are not your massive 16 oz drinks, but smaller craft-created with great intention by a guy named Zavier Jean-Charles. Shout out to TWA Hotel - this guy makes GREAT coffee! Thank you, Zavier, and Lakesha Bell, the super friendly and efficient manager, for starting our travel day in such a positive way!

Intelligentsia. They serve a smart cup of coffee in the TWA Hotel lobby. Smart cup of coffee. Smart. Get it? Get it? Nevermind. Enjoy your stay and fly safe.

I was really wanting to drink coffee after a long flight and decided to try the coffee here. I ordered macchiato with vanilla syrup and it was really nice. The barista is really friendly too. Love it !

Google
I don't usually leave many reviews, but I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews here. Intelligentsia Coffee is a great roasting company and a big player in the third wave coffee movement. You're always going to have a high-quality cup of coffee here, so of course the prices are going to reflect that--not to mention that it's in the beautiful TWA Hotel. Also, the barista that made our drinks was very nice and cheerful. So, if you're not into coffee, it makes sense to prioritize price in your decision; otherwise, come here if you want a great coffee at JFK.

No idea what the original reviewers were on about. This is a solid little coffee kiosk and probably the best 8oz latte I've had in a hotel or airport (definitely better than Stumptown @ PDX, Caffe Vita @ SEA or Cartel @ PHX). Sure it isn't hipster neighborhood amazing, but it's still very good. And the setting is very cool.

Just ordered an “Avena Latte”, nothing added other than what’s advertised in the menu. Fairly smooth, foamy with a fruity and herby tone, decent expresso kick and a slight spiciness

Yelp
A leader in third wave American coffee companies. Intelligentsia hails from Chicago, and now has locations in NYC, LA, Boston, and Austin. They are determined to provide the best quality, single/traceable source coffee in the world. This location is a coffee bar in the lobby of the TWA Hotel, which is a beautifully restored, historic 1960's airline terminal. There is ample seating. Their "Angeleno" was one of the best specialty coffee beverages I've ever enjoyed. This drink contains 4 shots of Black Cat Espresso, shaken with milk and homemade vanilla syrup. Their coffees have an elegant flavor, with balanced acidity and fruity/floral sweetness. If you enjoy Starbucks' Shaken Espresso series, this is the luxury version. My husband got the Avena Latte, which is made with oat milk, spiced with orange peel, ginger, vanilla and cinnamon, and topped with a touch of cayenne. The spices enhanced the flavors of the coffee, without being cloying. Their bakery case was a little sparse, but I loved the Salted Butter Cookie from local Brooklyn bakery Good Batch. Great flavor, delicious shortbread-like crumb. I almost docked a star because the barista was comically grumpy, but honestly it sort of added to the NYC experience. 10/10.

Yelp
I have no idea why there's only 3 reviews!!! This has been the best coffee I've ever had. They really put effort into each drink. If you are landing at JFK Terminal 5 and the shop is open, you MUST pass by! You won't regret it.

Yelp
This review is actually for the location in the Highline Hotel on 10th Ave and 20th St. The baristas were very kind and helpful and the cappuccino was delicious. They didn't have a huge selection of pastries, just three types, but they had this one that was a round buttery croissant that was caramelized on the outside. To die for! I recommend that one highly. Just the right amount of sweetness and enjoyed it on the little patio out back.

Yelp
I'd definitely recommend to grab breakfast here if you sta at TWA Hotel. For one they probably is the only coffee place in the hotel. For two they really make good coffee at reasonable price, compare to the cafe at 2nd floor.
