"A fixture since 1975, International Market elicited cries of dismay when it closed and sighs of relief when it reopened right across the street from its original location. In its cheery home on Belmont, James Beard Award semifinalist Arnold Myint along with his sister Anna has added new offerings like a stunner of an eggplant plate with a soy lime dressing, hot chili crisp french fries with wasabi mayo, and sesame peanut noodles using egg noodles from local pastamaker Mr. Aaron’s. Whatever you do, don’t miss the Hat Yai Thai fried chicken — the sell-out risk is high, but you can guarantee that the dish will be waiting for you by preordering 24 hours before your reservation. —JGJ" - Jackie Gutierrez-Jones, Ellen Fort

"When International Market opened on Belmont Boulevard in 1975, it was an important addition to a city that didn’t have a whole lot of culinary diversity. Nashville restaurants have come a long way since then, but it’s still just as important as ever. Lunch is great for a quick, casual, low-key meal—steam tables line the right of the sunlit space, where Belmont students and Vandy professors excitedly pluck crab rangoon off the hotline and load up on plates of pad thai. At night, the menu changes to extra cheffy renditions of Thai classics—the pap see eiw use semolina pappardelle instead of rice noodles, and specials bring together things like sashimi-style salmon and roe with pickled garlic, fish sauce, and Thai chili. It’s a third date kind of a spot, or one you reach for when you’ve got three or four hungry friends who aren’t afraid of a little heat. " - jackie gutierrez jones 2, carlo mantuano, ann walczak

Google
Good place for asian groceries! It’s hard to come across authentic cooking ingredients in Nashville. It’s never as expensive as I always think it’s going to be and their Banh Mi’s are super cheap and delicious!

Alex Roberts

Google
This has been my go-to store for any asian cuisine ingredients. The employees are kind and helpful, and the selection is great. Fair prices / good variety.

Laura-Ann Chong

Google
Perfect little Asian grocer. Had all the sauces, snacks and even some fresh Asian veggies. Fresh kimchi, miso… A good mix of Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Thai staples. Definitely worth a visit!

Davina Borja

Google
Most of their items on the shelf are expired! Took this photo today. The health department needs to visit before someone gets sick.

Google
Most authentic Bahn mi in Nashville! All homemade. Simple and delish! Come on Friday for a bun thit nung, a noodle and pork belly dish that is super yummy. Lots of Asian produce. Love the vietnamese instant coffee.

Alexander

Google
Small Asian market, but will meet all of your Asian food needs! They have really fun snacks and authentic rice, mung bean, treats. Definitely will be coming here for my international market needs as it’s one of the closer one’s to downtown where I live.

Darek Tidwell

Google
The Bahn Mi (double meat) will leave you speechless. It's amazing. Its spicy like 5/5 spicy with jalepenos, but still outstanding. The grocer part of the store is equally quality and has huge depth. If you can't find you probably don't want it. The bahn mi will haunt my dreams . oh and it's like $5.

Abby Sandoitchi

Google
Love this grocery store. I've been making my own recipes for soups and stir fry. This place has everything you need to DIY. Fantastic!

Freddy D.

Yelp
Decent selection of Asian groceries. Fresh produce. The sandwiches are great, but there isn't a traditionally deli counter. Just order what you want at the register and they make it for you.

Emily M.

Yelp
Hot DAMN their food is good! Their roasted pork belly is insane- add that to their bahn mi and OMG! Don't sleep on this place!!

Deya M.

Yelp
I love this place! I discovered it by accident on an adventure to find Asian groceries near me and I have not been disappointed since. They sell different banh mi sandwiches at the cash register. You can simply go in and tell them what you want up front. They will get it ready for you while you peruse the rest of the market! I decided to go with the original today. There's no place to sit and eat so I ended up eating at home. The sandwich was warm and the bread was so soft! It was filled with a generous serving of fresh veggies. Certainly was a filling sandwich!! This was a perfect pick me up in the middle of my work day. Drop by if you're ever in the area!

Quentin T.

Yelp
Incredibly ashamed that it has taken me as long as it has to swing by here & get a bahn mi. However, I am now absolved of my past transgressions as I have tasted the delicious manna from heaven offered here & can spread the gospel of InterAsian Market & Deli. Swung by here on Monday at noon to grab a basic bahn mi & browse on my way back to the north side of town. There is a printout of the available sand which options at the register where you place your order. Whoever is working will ask you if you "just want one" when you tell them what you want. Don't be dumb like me & say "yes" say "two" & reward yourself later in the day with that second bahn mi that you truly deserve. I got the double meat option. It was simple, refreshing, & crave inducing. Everything you want in a bahn mi. Im going to come down here to get the roast pork they offer later in the week & I'm going to leave with two instead of one so help me god.

Julia H.

Yelp
I've received some recs for this place's bahn mi's, so I had to try the tofu one! Came out within 5 mins, and it was pretty filling and flavorful--very simple yet refreshing. Great service and friendly atmosphere--pick up some groceries if you want to, too!

Mary K.

Yelp
HANDS-DOWN.. Best banh-mi sandwiches ever! best time to go are on the weekends as they have fresh roasted pork belly and other food ready to go.

Aaron W.

Yelp
In an increasingly expensive city with more and more dining options, this remains a killer sandwich for less than 5 bucks. The staff are very friendly here and it is a family-run business which is always nice to see. Just stop at the register and order your banh mi, the cashier will radio a lady in the back, and then you have a few minutes to look around at all the fun groceries while your sandwich is prepared fresh!

Bill J.

Yelp
Great little market. They sell sandwiches out of the back that are awesome. Affordable and friendly.

Bobby Y.

Yelp
C'mon Yelp. The bread is what makes a great Banh Mi, and this bread is really nothing special whatsoever. A Banh Mi baguette should be nicely toasted and buttered, IMO. The ingredients here are good and fresh enough, but the baguette is what is supposed to keep you coming back - too bad InterAsian Market & Deli doesn't seem to have the bread skills to back up what they've got going inside. Disappointing, as this Yelp listing seemed to have the underpinnings and potential for something great. A grocery store with easy access to fresh veggies making sandwiches in the back - sounds like a slow pitch home run derby to me - it should be easy enough, but alas, they just need to execute a little better. Pleasant shopkeepers, clean store with plenty of cooking necessities and a good selection of standard Asian grocery store items. Just far from a great Banh Mi. I got an Original ($6) and a Veggie Tofu ($6) and both were let down by their cold, dense bread rolls. A Banh Mi is all about the baguette, folks.

Caterina I.

Yelp
February 2021: THEY NOW ACCEPT CARDS! $10 minimum purchase. Have I tried it? No. I am so used to paying cash that I haven't dared try it here, but it's advertised! I've been coming to this shop since I was a kid. The owner is quite particular, so you'll see signs like don't put your things on the counter. But it's all common sense, and the store is tidy and neat. And of course I have to mention the banh mi. Sandwiches are so fresh and delicious. I really appreciate the small cucumbers used inside the sandwich! If you're looking for the roast pork, come early on the weekends. It sells out FAST.

Bob S.

Yelp
Saw this place online and had to give it a try because I'm a banh mi junkie! The sandwiches are made to order and they don't take cards, so bring cash! The regular banh mi is what we all ordered and they're less than $5 each, what a deal. We all enjoyed the sandwiches immensely, even my young son who is somewhat of a picky eater. Do be warned they come with raw jalapeño on them, so if you don't like it spicy, order without! This is carry out only so don't expect to be eating in. Would definitely return for another !!!

James L.

Yelp
InterrAsian Market and Deli serves up perhaps the best banh mi sandwiches in Nashville. During my recent trip, I was told that for authentic Asian groceries, visit InterAsian. So I popped in to get some Dynasty brand shrimp chips and a small bottle of Huy Fong sambal (don't settle for imitators and stick with the originals). While I was perusing the aisles, I also noticed a sign at the front counter that this place sells Banh Mi sandwiches. So I ordered two of the special combos and was pleasantly surprised that they were priced at a budget friendly less than $4/each. I'm not gonna lie - the sammiches are tasty! The mini-baguettes have a toasty exterior, but the interior is fluffy and moist. And the banh mi's are filled with crunchy pickled veggies and homemade char siu pork. I was going to save them for when I returned to my hotel, but would up eating them in the car cuz they were so yummy. Back in 2012, this place made the list of "Nashville in 10 plates" article (https://www.foodandwine.com/slideshows/nashville-restaurants#3) and after chowing down, I can understand why. So if you're in town and need a break from the ubiquitous hot chicken and barbecue joints, stop by and get a delicious banh mi.

Alyssa J.

Yelp
Looking for one of the best and biggest bang-for-your-buck sandwiches in Nashville? Look no further than the variety of banh mi at InterAsian Market! The roast pork banh mi is something special for people who eat meat, and for those that don't, the tofu banh mi is amazing, too! Filled with lots of fresh and crunchy veggies and sandwiched between perfectly baked french bread, these sandwiches make for a perfect lunch! And while your waiting for your sandwich, check out the amazing selection of fresh produce at the back of the store!

Tim C.

Yelp
So glad I found this place! Though originally from TN (East) spent most of my life (so far) in CA with a couple years in Japan, so I have been looking for a market like this. Had so many of my Japanese favorites plus a great selection from other Asian countries. Great produce selection! And I bought some green papaya strips to make a Thai inspired salad. Can't wait to go back!

Suzie L.

Yelp
Roast pork banh mi We came for lunch on a Friday because we heard that they make banh mi with crispy roast pork belly on the weekends. The banh mi was very good - made to order with fresh cilantro, carrot, cucumber, pork loaf and roast belly pork. We did think that the roll was a just little small though and be warned - it's cash only!!

Jake M.

Yelp
This is a pretty unassuming place on the side of the road but it is well worth the stop! They have a wide range of cheap Asian foods, drinks, and snacks that are all delicious and fun to try. They also have great Banh Mi sandwich that is also super cheap, would definitely recommend it!

EV W.

Yelp
If you are in south nash be sure to stop here! The store always has something you need to stock up on and an amazing deli! Friendly service

Amy W.

Yelp
I went on a Wednesday and only the regular banh mi and the veggie were available (pork belly and ground pork ones on wknds only). There was also no prepped food like dumplings that were available at all. I was so looking forward to trying some new dishes they have on their site, but could only get a banh mi.

William W.

Yelp
Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! I want to give them 10 stars! Since my first 5-star review, InterAsian has impressed me even more!!! The first step in my quest to master 15 authentic Chinese and Thai recipes was to find a store in Nashville that carried hard-to-find vinegars, wines, sauces, pastes, you name it. No Asian store in Nashville carried even half of my grocery list! InterAsian carried ALL OF IT!!! Phase 2: If I'm going to make authentic Asian food, I don't merely want the correct ingredients from any old brand. I want the top-rated brands for each ingredient! On my second trip to InterAsian, I noticed something stunning! They carry dozens of brands, but for every ingredient I checked they had the highest-rated brand for every single item I needed!!! Whole Foods doesn't, Publix doesn't, Kroger doesn't, no Asian store in town does either! And their prices are 50% to 90% cheaper than the same product on Amazon!!! Wow!!! They're even the ONLY store in town where I found the proper wonton wrappers for crab wontons, and the proper pancakes for Peking Duck. NOBODY comes close! They have more sushi wrappers (Nori) than any other place I've seen! If you're doing Asian cooking of any kind, please don't go anywhere else!!! The father is Chinese, the mother is Vietnamese, and the family once lived in Laos, so they know Asian products!!! And they're fluent in English and incredibly helpful!!!

Shirley C.

Yelp
The market doesn't have that much variety, but the banh mi is delicious! Others have already mentioned it, but this place only takes cash. Market: 3/5 The selection of asian foods for sale in the store is not the most diverse. When I went, several items were sold out, and it felt like a good fourth of the shelf space was empty. It was also the middle of the day and sunny outside, but the store, especially the back half, was unusually dark. Roast Pork Banh Mi: 5/5 Packed full of flavor! All the components complimented each other to make up a truly delicious sandwich. The meat was tender, the veggies were crisp, and the bread was the right combination of both. Service: 1/5 You order your sandwich at the register, and they bring it out to you when it's done. That part was good. My problem was when I asked the man at the register if they were going to refill the roast pork (it was a Saturday), and he said no. Later on, I overheard him talking to another customer, promising to save him some roast pork if he came by later. I understand rewarding loyal customers, but I don't think lying to a customer is ever okay, and this really upset me.

Darrika M.

Yelp
I've been coming to this place for years! If you are a lover of banhmi be sure to give this place a try they have Roast Pork and Shu Mai Banh Mi on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. You can order the Original Banh Mi, Double Meat Banh Mi, and Vegetarian Tofu Banh Mi daily. While you are waiting for your sandwich you can browse around the store for some groceries and snacks. This place is CASH ONLY so keep that in mind as well.

Brittany N.

Yelp
Okay, I do have to say the food is delicious here. It's not the reason for the 3 star review. I do wish since they were selling food they 1) had a table to sit at 2) were slightly more accommodating. I was in the area and wanted to find a good asian market. They definitely had everything I needed, but geez, the man working is so rude. I'd asked about the banh mi, and he pointed at the sign and abrasively said, yeah... menu is right there!!! It's not that I didn't see it, I just saw a case full of food and that wasn't included. Second, I ordered a banh mi with no jalapeño... I'm pretty sure it had extra? The flavor was good, but it was definitely too hot for me. I also ordered the thit noodle dish with roasted pork and shrimp. Also delicious. Slight spice but to the point I personally like. Last thing to note, cash only. I'd go back, but generally I don't carry cash on me. So that's a challenge. And don't expect customer service or food accommodations, it won't happen here. What you can expect, a delicious and cheap meal. A banh mi is around $3. It's really difficult to eat cheaper anywhere.

Kelly M.

Yelp
Bahn Mi sandwiches- solid. I suggest ordering them with double the meat. I bought a few grocery items and noticed once I got home that they were expired- so that was disappointing!

J W.

Yelp
Delicious Bahn mi Sandwiches, but if you can wait to the weekend, you'll have even a broader selection of sandwiches. Also roasted pork over rice noodles or rice with vegetables and sauce is a light and delicious lunch or supper. My favorite are the shrimp summer rolls.

LeAnn L.

Yelp
If you want authentic Vietnamese food for a great price, this is the place to go. Their banh mi is only $3.50 and they use the right bread. The owner is so friendly. I suggest going on the weekend because they have special dishes that you can grab and go. It reminds me of my grandma's Vietnamese cooking. I'm so glad a place like this exists in Nashville! (Note they only take cash which is how you know it's going to be good)

Lisa J M.

Yelp
My new favorite place to get all the ingredients for my favorite Japanese, Philippine, Chinese, Indian and other Asian recipes! No more going to 4 grocery stores for those meals.

Diana L.

Yelp
Got some basic sauces here and veggies. The veggies are packed and wrapped and super affordable. Seems family run - would definitely be a regular here.

Maria M.

Yelp
Small Asian store, they now are accepting debit card/ credit card for payment. A few years a go we couldn't pay with card. The store are clean and we are still need wear a mask.

Thorn M.

Yelp
Fantastic place! Best Banh mi I've ever had- and I get the tofu. Excellent selection of Thai ingredients and many other Asian ingredients as well, which are absolute musts in my pantry. Family owned, wonderful people. They have Pandan cake to die for, I even got their baker's number and ordered the best birthday cake of my life. Seriously awesome place!

Ted C.

Yelp
Strange, was how I would describe my experience here. We drove here one night for some sandwiches before drinks and it was like one of those Goosebumps books you read as a kid. It was in a dark, dark neighborhood on a dark, dark street and and dark, dark parking lot. Weren't sure if it was open, but all the information showed us it was. Tentatively, we went up the steps and pulled on the doors just to find them locked. One of the two men behind the counter got up and unlocked the door for us; they were still open they just locked the door for some reason or another. We wandered a bit before going back up front to order banh mis and the order was radioed back our order for us. A few minutes later our order was ready and brought up to the front. The older man rang us up and asked where we had heard of them and then pointed us towards their latest entry in Nashville Food and Wine. The two sandwiches came out to a little over 7 bucks. The sandwiches were tasty and the price has gone up a little bit with their notoriety and it was just weird to have to be unlocked into a grocery store is a little weird.

Cindy Y.

Yelp
If you're looking for basic Asian groceries and pantry items that's close to downtown Nashville, this place is a great place to source those items. Their products are mainly Southeast Asian-based but you'll find the very basic cooking ingredients from whatever Asian cuisine you're trying to cook up. (You'll have to go to somewhere like K&S for more harder-to-get items or for a larger variety of items like rice and frozen food.) A big plus for me are the smaller portions of the produce that they sell. At K&S, they sell them in huge bulks but you get lesser amounts at InterAsian for a reasonable price and for someone that cooks for one or two, that really helps a lot. Another positive is that they're pretty clean and lack the overwhelming smell that your average international market has, and their aisles are spacious and not narrow full of boxes, making it harder to navigate. They also have really good authentic banh mis (although they've raised the prices slightly recently to about a little over $4 for a basic banh mi) and they have pâté in them, which some places don't use. On weekends, they'll have other food items on display for sale (baozi, banh cuon, summer rolls, etc.). The items that I've tried have been been pretty solid. The only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is that customer service is iffy. The main cashier (and one of the co-owners), an older gentleman, seems to be talkative and friendly to everyone else in the store but somehow he's just really serious and cold towards me every time I've been there checking out, even though I'm friendly and positive towards him. It's not a big deal but it really confuses me as to why I'd be treated that way. Oh well. His son who I've interacted with once was really nice and helpful though. Also, the store is cash only so be prepared to have cash, however if you're short on change, I believe there's an ATM on premise as well.

Kimmy S.

Yelp
Small little supermarket that sells groceries and fresh food. I originally came here because I wanted banh mi but come to find out they only serve fresh food on weekends. I made the drive from Murfreesboro to find that out and it was a little disappointing. This grocery store is a little overpriced but then again most of the Asian grocery stores in the area are overpriced. I guess I'm just use to prices in STL which can be cheaper by 1$ or 2$.

Jessica K.

Yelp
This is a lovely asian market; although it's very small, it's packed with every asian food you might possibly need. I've only had the banh mi sandwich from their deli, but it was amazing! They do include a very spicy pepper (I'm not sure what it specifically is) that adds a kick to it.

Blair S.

Yelp
InterAsian market has a nice selection of groceries, mostly from Southeast Asia (Vietnam and Thailand predominantly). I visit mostly for the fresh treats: baked goods (coconut buns are a delight), tropical deserts (try the tapioca banana pudding) and banh mi. In particular the fresh banh mi available on the weekends. They have vegetarian banh mi (rare in Nashville) made with good baguettes and fresh ingredients. They are made to order, so go straight to the checkout line and pay for them and someone from a kitchen in the back will bring them to you. On top of the treats, they have cheap bulk rice, a wide selection of noodles, and a large variety of canned goods. In the back you can find some fresh fruits and vegetables at competitive prices. Note that is is cash only and it's a market and deli, not a restaurant, so prepare to take your treats somewhere else to eat and enjoy.

Van H.

Yelp
I love this place. Not just because I live close by but the banh mi's are my favorite in town. At only $3.50 for the traditional banh mi which is pretty large you can't beat that anywhere! This place is CASH ONLY though so have some dollars on hand. It doesn't look like much on the outside, it looks like your typical Asian grocery store. But do yourself a favor and go inside. These aren't the Americanized and overpriced banh mi's you'd find at the new trendy Vietnamese restaurants in town. These are authentic with the bbq pork, fresh pickled veggies, and pate. You can also order it with double meat for a little extra but I've never felt the need to. You order your sandwich at the register and they walkie talkie to the back where they make it to order so it's always fresh! They also make a tofu option for vegetarians. On the weekends they have roast pork and shu mai versions too that are also very good, a little more at $5 but come on totally worth it and cheaper than any other sandwich at a local place. They also make some other things on the weekends for carry out like spring rolls and vermicelli with pork and shrimp (my personal favorite). Definitely a great place to pick up lunch any day of the week!

Mike Z.

Yelp
They have me since they have a filipino aisle of all things I need in order to make some homemade dishes. Glad I took the time out to learn some of them from my mom because it definitely brings me comfort being away from home. Their store is not a supermarket and it doesn't need to be. It provides more than you need in the selection that's given. Also they have dining tools also, which is great. They also have a menu to order food from. You order at the counter and they bring it from the back. Simple as that. Also remember that it's cash only. So hit the ATM before going.

Julie F.

Yelp
Friendly family and a heck of a selection of Asian cuisine and snacks. I bought so much stuff! My granddaughter and I love Japanese snacks and were like kids in a candy store. Can't wait to go back and try more.

Leang E.

Yelp
As for a site visit to Nashville as a potential location to move to I had to find an Asian market because I do feel like it is one of the things I can't live without. It's tough and I'm going to compare this to all the ones I have been to, and it has the standard items. I mean it's hard to compete with Chicago because in a larger city they sell live and frozen seafood, meat, and it's near Asian restaurants. I think the majorly disappointing thing was all the talk about the banh mi sandwiches and there was none selling on this day that I went. It was a weekend and noon time. I was pretty bummed. If I am back in town I will call ahead to see if they are making any that day. I didn't also get a chance to interact with anyone at the store either so I can't comment on the staff but the prices seemed reasonable.

Melanie L.

Yelp
Waited a year for another Bahn Mi sandwich and it was fantastic!!!! So glad to come back and get the perfect bite!!

Josh H.

Yelp
Though largely an Asian market, I go to InterAsian exclusively for their delicious, super cheap banh mi sandwiches. At less than $4 a pop, they're one of the best deals in Nashville. They don't have dine-in seating, so I like to call ahead to place a to-go order for a banh mi, which is usually ready within about 10 minutes. I usually take a stroll down the far left aisle to grab an interesting bag a chips and drink that I haven't tried before. Be warned that they're cash-only. So come prepared!

John T.

Yelp
Solid spot for Banh Mi. You order at the front counter/cashier stand and they bring it out to you. We got a regular and tofu banh mi with a dessert pastry. No seating inside or outside that I saw. Definitely great value if you're in the banh mi mood.

Lesley K.

Yelp
This is my go to spot for delicious bahn mi! Order at the register for an amazing carry out sandwich!!!

Forrest B.

Yelp
I can't really begin to describe how good the Banh Mi is here. Seriously, words don't do it justice. I've now had the regular, double meat, and pork belly, and honestly, I had all three within a 24 hour time period because of how great the first was. For the record, regular is incredible. I thought double meat had a slightly odd ratio, but was not a bad choice at all. But, the pork belly, oh my, the pork belly. Incredible. It was warm, crackling, with a bit of bite, and just wow. It's only on the weekends, and makes for the best late breakfast. The rest of the store is pretty cool, especially for asian ingredients and fun things to check out, etc, but the banh mi is the real star of the entire show and makes it incredibly worth the visit on any occasion.

Dana F.

Yelp
Brought a Taiwanese friend here and she loved the variety, which is a good sign. Lots of very unique sweets and teas available. Not as big of a variety of options as K&S up the road, but definitely a nice local market.

Erin A.

Yelp
I love this place. They are so friendly and helpful. They have a great selection of ramen and hard to find ingredients. Highly recommend the bahn mi!

Max F.

Yelp
Cute, well-kept, super-packed asian store. You'll find almost anything you can think here in. Great selections of vegetables and noodles. I packed up a large reserve of noodles for my home-made Pho, and I have to say that the quality of the noodles is great! The owner is a nice, elegant and respectful Chinese that doesn't mind dispensing some chat with you at the check out. If you have a minute he will tell you some nice stories on Nashville and on how he saw this nice city changing along the years since he arrived here. Be aware, no credit or debit cards here. So bring some cash!

Tifanny E.

Yelp
New favorite Asian market to go to. I've come here before once but only briefly when I was looking for noodles. Now I was really craving bahn mi i. And I had the best recommendation from a friend of mine to go here. She said that the owner was a little standoffish. But I was talking to him he was nothing but standoffish. He was a sweet old man. Glad I came here. Will definitely be doing some shopping here

Kim Y.

Yelp
This place looks unassuming from the outside, but - being honest - most 'international' markets are a little on the lowdown/rundown side. Huge supply of anything you could ever need! Large choice when it comes to coconut milks, drink oddities, hot sauces (!!) and random American speciality items like Cafe Du Monde coffee. Fresh eggs from a variety of animals, produce and chicken feet are available at very reasonable prices ;) Service is outstanding and the store is well organized. The star off is for the occasionally hard to understand price tags/markers. It isn't a huge problem - but things could be a little easier to read; especially when there are 12 different kinds of canned coconut milk in a hefty range of prices. I also noticed Fiesta E-Mart beat them on prices for a few basic things, but it was pretty nominal. Bring your cash or check! Cant wait to try the deli portion... you know, when I am done with my homemade spicy chicken feet with rice noodle soup. hehe.

As a Vietnamese living in Washington D.C. and being spoiled with good Vietnamese French sandwich (banh mi) from the area, I must say this is the best place to get authentic banh mi in Nashville. In my opinion, the best banh mi I've ever had. It is not advertised as a banh mi shop, so most non locals won't know. Get the roasted pork banh mi and you will not be disappointed. It is available on weekends and often sells out on Sunday by afternoon, so you have to act fast. Also, it is a cash only spot so be sure to have cash ready.
