"Located on a fine line between Plaza Midwood and Uptown, Intermezzo is an equal-opportunity pizzaiolo destination thanks to its Serbian roots. Traditional items like eggplant moussaka, cabbage rolls, or stuffed bell peppers appear on the menu right next to pizzas like the Intermezzo Supreme featuring Italian sausage and pepperoni. Don’t miss the Piroska, a Balkan-style pizza stuffed with ham, mushrooms, three kinds of cheese, sour cream, and tomato sauce." - Nikki Miller-Ka

When you order $76.05 worth of food and get $10 worth of food. I actually went in to ask them if I should dine in instead of ordering to go, would I get more food. The bartender asked me if I knew the price of chicken per pound at HT hahaha, like there was a pound of chicken in the order, maybe 6oz. In general you can tell the severs know what’s up. Just add more pasta to the order at least. DO NOT GET TO GO FROM HERE! They are not anywhere near Michelin, don’t pay the price for it. Also, didn’t even get sauce with the breadsticks, just another oops I guess. Do better, be better and don’t argue with me about the price of chicken, it’s embarrassing for you.

Google
food isn’t bad. But we ordered a 10” pizza and were told it feed TWO TO THREE ADULTS. Please look at the photo. I am not a super large man… That dinky pizza cost $20!!!! Rip off. Better pizza, for less, and more can be found elsewhere.

Visited for the first time last night with my Mom. I heard great reviews about Intermezzo so I wanted to give it a try. Server Jon was great. Atmosphere was amazing. Pizza was good. I'm the type that is always hesitant to leave less than positive reviews. However; I must be honest here... We ordered the Beet and Orange salad. For $15.00, it was very small, what appeared to be canned beets with a small amount of feta cheese and a few mandarin oranges. Felt it was overpriced for what you get. Pizza was good but for $17.50, I expected a little more... They skimped on the toppings and it appeared smaller than a 10". My Mom and I are not big eaters and we finished the entire salad and pizza. Will I visit again? Probably. But had to share these thoughts.

We stopped here on a Friday night for a bite to eat and it didn’t disappoint. Their pizza was phenomenal! We just got a pepperoni pizza and it was truthfully one of the best pizzas I have ever had. The service was quick and our waitress was so kind! When we are back in Charlotte this will be a spot we will definitely come back too!

I arrived a few minutes before the rest of my party and waited for about 15 minutes. During that time, no one stopped to say hello or check in on me. After my family arrived, it took a few more minutes for the server to bring us water. When she finally returned, she simply asked, “Are you ready to order?” without any greeting or hospitality. We initially ordered iced tea, but they didn’t sell iced tea. Then we asked for lemonade, but despite it being listed on the menu, they didn’t have that either. At this point, I suggested that she ask for our drink orders first before we moved on to food. It became clear that our server did not want to be there. Any time she left, she disappeared for a long time. When she finally came back, we ordered a couple of appetizers—corn dip and bruschetta. It took 30 minutes for them to arrive (yes, we timed it). In the meantime, she took our entrée orders and then vanished again. Before we could even finish our appetizers, our main courses arrived. What a mess—no room on the table, dirty dishes everywhere, and no fresh flatware. The entire table was cluttered and chaotic. Once again, our server disappeared. After finishing our entrees, the dirty dishes, including leftover appetizer plates, sat on the table for quite a while before being cleared. Eventually, she returned and offered dessert. We ordered tiramisu for my daughter’s birthday and a strawberry crêpe. I asked if they could put a candle on the dessert. Guess what? The desserts arrived, and they were out of candles. I should also mention that the kids’ pasta with cream sauce (for a 5-year-old) was $14.95. When we finally received our check, we realized we had been at the restaurant for over two hours. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all, but the terrible service made the experience frustrating. When you work in a restaurant, hospitality is the name of the game. If you’re having a bad day, stay home—don’t ruin your guests’ dining experience.

Google
1-star review (since 0 stars isn’t an option): Our experience at this restaurant was incredibly disappointing. While the food was just OK, the service was extremely slow. One person in our party never received her meal. No one came out to let us know there was a problem—it wasn’t until she went inside to ask that they realized it hadn’t been made. Only then did they try to correct the issue. What made the situation worse was the way it was handled. The owner himself came to our table and was shockingly rude and confrontational. Instead of apologizing, he raised his voice at a table full of women, which was completely unprofessional and unnecessary. The entire interaction left us stunned and uncomfortable. We will absolutely not be returning and cannot recommend this place to others

Google
This place is a trip!!! I was unsure if we were going in, but I am so glad we did. Do not let anything on the outside sway you from going in for some amazing food. Jacob was our server, and he was very helpful with any questions. He even gave some great suggestions. I am looking forward to going back to try something else.

Google
For the type of food and quality, this location left me underwhelmed. The pasta was hand made but the shrimp was frozen prior to being cooked and there were 6 pieces in the entire dish. It was not worth $20+. The Cajun shrimp also only had six pieces and majority of the plate was vegetables that you could get at Harris teeter for less than $6. The crepes were worth the cost. Simple and well flavored. The ricotta and goat bread appetizer was good but not note worthy. Overall every dish was simple but made to look as if the restaurant was Michelin star rated. I do not recommend it unless you just like spending money for mediocre food. Their gratuity of $38 for a table of six people is ridiculous. I would have rated it higher if the food was worth the cost. Don’t forget the eight dollar charge for the credit card being used!

Yelp
Great experience! The restaurant itself is very small. We arrived around 6:30 on a Friday and had to wait about 30 minutes. There are seats at the bar and a heated patio as well. Once we were seated, it was a very cozy feel with exposed brick. They do have a parking lot behind the restaurant but it's small. They have an extensive wine menu. The food menu includes pizza, pasta, salads and appetizers. Everything we got was very good! The wait staff was attentive as well.

Yelp
My second and last time dining at Intermezzo was intended to be a birthday celebration for a friend who chose the restaurant. Upon being seated, our party of three was immediately told there would be a $3.50 cake cutting fee for each of us - as we brought Nothing Bundt Cake bunletts with us. The waitress was polite about it - but we asked to speak to the manager. Service seemed to be of low importance as the manager came to the table and informed us, dismissively, of the charge - and pointed it out on the menu. In addition to the cake cutting charge - also printed on the menu is the disclaimer of a 3.5% fee for credit card purchases as well. We would have spent a lot more on appetizers and more expensive entrees prior to the interaction with the manager - but decided to scale the meal back to smaller entrees that seemed out of balance with the price. Had we not been there with a friend for his birthday - we would have left after the interaction with the manager. While I understand a business needing to be profitable - I would be mindful that there are too many other dining options in Charlotte. Most of which would make a more professional practice in financial and service matters.

Yelp
My experience was just okay. Intermezzo was on my list and driven by a lot, but I never stopped in. On a rainy Friday night, I decided to stop in. The hostess wasn't the friendliest but did give me an honest wait time. She sat me out on the patio, and it was a bit chilly even with the heaters, but I made do. The cocktail was my favorite part of the meal. I don't remember which one it was, but it was good. The server was nice enough but a bit slow coming and going, and could have been more attentive on a cold night. I ordered the piroska, which is essentially a stromboli with sour cream. While the sour cream gives it a nice twist, it's still nothing to write home about. While eating, I decided that I wouldn't order again and was underwhelmed by the experience. It was also overpriced given the mediocrity of the service and the food.

Mike P.

Yelp
Can't complain about the service or staff as they were great but this place seriously needs to rethink their model. Built in service charges for large groups are understandable but adding a 3.5% charge on card purchases isn't how card purchases work. It's a play to money grab on a menu that is already marked up by around 20% on other restaurants. Food is average to below average. Wouldn't recommend

Emizz Z.

Yelp
Random stop because the original place we went did not have food that day - and boy, what a find in Charlotte! The inside is super cozy, old school feel. They also have outdoor heated seating in the winter. Service is amazing, our server was very patient and helpful with our indecisiveness. If you can't decide one, the large allows half half choices And on Wednesdays, they do half off any bottle of wine!

Lance E.

Yelp
This has been one of my favorite places on this culinary journey. The place is casual with a local independently owned feel. The service was absolutely fantastic. Jacob suggested we check out their website site for images of the food. We started with the ricotta and goat cheese crostini. The goat cheese was smooth cut with the ricotta and had a fresh lemon hint to it. The crostini is crisp and definitely home made. The tomato sauce was chunky and fresh. One of our friends got the stuffed peppers that he recommended and had several times. Jacob got the Cabbage Rolls and I had a few bites and it was pretty great. Our other friend and I got the Eggplant Musaka. Yes, I shared with Jacob, and he agreed...best eggplant he's ever had. Sorry I have to start another paragraph on this AMAZING dish. It was by far one of the most amazing things I've ever put in my mouth. The eggplant was thin and crisp. The meat was delicious and the sauce was fresh and home made. This is a foodies dream. Something downright perfect, fresh and memorable. The dish that makes your eyes close and you just feel the goodness and freshness of flavor that sends you into quietness. We took tiramisu home and I can't wait to inhale the sweet coffee flavored goodness of this beautiful desert. If you're in Charlotte the home of great food. Do yourself and guests a favor and stop in to have some amazing Serbian family food.

Sheri S.

Yelp
This menu is full of delicious pizza and amazing dinners. I got a lemon chicken with asparagus and mashed potatoes and every bite was absolutely heavenly! The service was excellent and the server was so friendly. So many great things to choose from. I can't wait to check this out again. There were so many things I wish I could haveeaten off the menu

Yelp
Plaza Midwood staple, locally owned, and a nice spot to eat/drink. Has a cute outdoor patio that's great most year round and covered during the winters. It's Serbian, despite the pizzas and the Italian sounding name. Pro tips: 1. Piroska is my favorite item on the menu, it's calzone-like and tasty, highly recommend 2. Pizza is solid, but varies depending on selection 3. Lasagna is tasty, but the portion is unfilling 4. Get the crostini appetizer over the bruschetta 5. Credit cards are charged a 3.5% fee, this is only communicated on bottom of the receipts 6. The waiters often ask if you want spinach in your piroska or marinara with your appetizer (such as the crostini), they're always an unspoken extra, $1 and $2 respectively. Definitely get the marinara, just be aware.

Francisco M.

Yelp
This was a great find! I had a calzone and I went on martini Saturday where they're half price. Service was quick and friendly. The ambiance is casual. But perfect for a casual date. Coming back for more martinis!

James S.

Yelp
Even after seeing them on Diners Drive-ins and Dives I don't know why I waited so long to come here. The Piroska was featured on Triple D and I had to have one. It's like a calzone from a 10 inch pizza topped with sour cream, tomato sauce, and cheese. The sour cream added a delicious element and simply put created a standout dish. The Capriciosa Pizza had a thinner crust which had a slight chew but did not reach the point of being overdone or crunchy. Walking in the owners asked us to choose our seat and they introduced themselves. The location is small and intimate and has a full bar. There is also a patio which would be great to enjoy when the weather. So often we ask if the food is authentic. Here's a family bringing Serbian dishes to Charlotte. If you're looking for something you won't find every day try Intermezzo.

Jody S.

Yelp
I have passed by Intermezzo's dozens of times and always said "maybe I'll stop in next time". Well next time finally came as some friends chose it for dinner and I wish I went sooner than I did. Walking in the place gives a diner/ bar type vibe with Italian decor. The bar vibe I got might only be because the bar was full and the rest of the seating area was completely empty. What really threw me for a loop was when I got the menu and saw not only Italian but also Serbian food. Everything on the menu looked so good. I chose the prosciutto and mushroom pasta for my entree. I was interested in the Serbian food but was thinking Italian when I got there and that's what my heart was set on. The food came out quickly and was really, really good. The prosciutto and mushroom pasta had so many flavors and was perfectly prepared. There was a few hiccups with the service. Getting water refills could be challenging (I had to get up and walk over to the waiter and ask for refills a couple of times). Also, at the end of the meal it took several times to ask for our check to pay so we could leave. Everyone was super friendly once they got to our table be to get them to our table was hard at times.

Ahyannah W.

Yelp
I drove 40 mintues to this place, someone told me they had really good pizza. When i got to my surprise they were closed. On google and apple maps said they didn't close until 10, i got there at 8:30. terrible service.

Abby L.

Yelp
Review Update: My favorite restaurant in Charlotte to this day. I have never had a bad experience here. I love all of the food, especially the Eggplant Moussaka, Pizza, and Garlic Braid. They have the absolute best bread that has ever existed. I always order a side of feta dip to dip my pizza in and it is wonderful. Everything is homemade and you can definitely tell. They have drink specials on certain nights. I enjoy their margarita-one of the best I've had. They also make a delicious French 75. Love the staff. Will always keep this on my rotation.

Emily A.

Yelp
Arrived at 8pm on a Friday, the restaurant was not busy, we asked for a table outside (there was a table available) and were told that it was not available and we could sit upstairs. The table sat unused. We will not return.

Yelp
After all these years driving by Intermezzo right off Central Avenue in Plaza Midwood - I finally stopped in! It's hard to believe it's been there since 2007 so if I've been driving past it all these years, I'm sure you have too. Inside, there's a warm cozy space full of comfort classics as well as traditional Serbian food. It's a pretty causal environment - I went in with gym clothes and no one seemed to care! Plenty of folks sit in the bar and order there or you can dine at a table. We started with the bruschetta which was delicious and super cheesy, then got a round of martinis (half price on saturdays) then pork medallions, lasagna and eggplant musaka. I got the French martini which was fine - it wasn't amazing but for half price - at $6 it was adequate. The pork medallions was a unique dish with a savory thyme sauce. I loved it but if you don't like thyme, opt for something else. The lasagna had a beautiful bechamel sauce on top and was delicious. It was comfort food at its finest. Our server Jacob was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. If you're in between choosing entrees - he can steer you in the right direction! He did also pre warn us about a nominal fee they charge for credit card processing. If you pay with cash you won't have to pay the fee. I appreciated him letting us know before bringing the bill. The fee didn't bother me too much - I'm sure in these challenging economic times that more restaurants may start to do the same. All and all good experience! I would definitely return - I want to get the pizza next! IG: @feisty.eats

Doug B.

Yelp
Go to in the hood we often forget about. Never had anything bad here on a menu with lots of variety. This time it was a pizza pie. Don't forget this place has pizza. We got a supreme, crust is delicious, sauce and toppings super fresh. Cooked perfect.

Julia L.

Yelp
How far this local business has fallen. I got the goat cheese crostini, had to pay extra for marinara. Then got the old school blacken rubbed chicken with broccoli. I had one piece of broccoli and a stem. The sauce was thick and not up to all the food I have had forever. We got our apps before our drinks. I recommend doing pizza only. They will always keep up with the locals, but PLEASE remember where you came from and make sure to stay true to the neighborhood that builded you up.

John C.

Yelp
Some of the best - scratch made options anywhere in the queen city U have to try the musaka if u are a first timer Jake is the best host in the CLT

Jesse R.

Yelp
The female bartender with dark hair was not cool at all. It was my first time at the restaurant and I was just picking up my to go order. I asked for ranch and she charged me 15 dollars for "creamy feta" without disclosing to me that it would be extra. She had already ran my card and looked at me like I was the idiot for not already knowing that 4 sides of ranch is 15 dollars. Insane. I just thought it was in bad faith and was almost on purpose. I'm honestly embarrassed for her behavior. I work in the service industry and I would never do that to a customer. Especially when it's their first time there. Was excited to try it but... Pizza wasn't even that great Service was terrible Probably will never go back This happened on February 1, 2024 at 9:30pm Hopefully a manager/ owner will look at the schedule and find the exact employee and talk to her about her terrible service. You don't treat people like that, period.

Sclebrity D.

Yelp
Been in here for the second time and got the same results I can say from my experience seems like the employees here are prejudice. They are very rude and stand offish when it came to me and seemed more welcoming to other people. And before anyone thinks I'm just saying this I've worked in the service industry for well over 10 years

Diane S.

Yelp
Service is a delight everyone is friendly and the food is outstanding Ambience is perfect for a date night this place will always have my business

Scott R.

Yelp
Went last night for dinner, after wanting to visit for some time. Although people have warned us about the terrible Hostess. They were spot on!! Food was really good, our server Jacob was great, but the Hostess was absolutely HORRIBLE!! Time to make a Change!

Nicole V.

Yelp
Cute little spot in plaza! We got a bottle of red to split along with some raviolis and the pesto chicken pizza. My favorite was definitely the raviolis. We did get charged for a side ofParmesan for the salad and a side of marinara for the pizza, which we didn't expect until we got the bill, but everything else was great!!

Emily M.

Yelp
Intermezzo is perfectly consistent. I crave their goat cheese dip, and pesto pizza. From pizza to pastas I have loved everything I've tried. Their patio is nice and on a cool evening and they have great pricing on beer.

Cristal C.

Yelp
The place here is good & tasty . The portions in my pasta were good and fair for the price. The service is good. The place was nice , more seats in back if they don't have a booth inside

Sarina P.

Yelp
I would give slightly above 4 stars, but unfortunately I can't give half stars. The reason I round down is because the restaurant has the word Pizzeria in the name and the pizza was good (not amazing). The lamb medallions definitely deserve a 5/5 though! The margherita pizza would have benefitted from using sauce, but it wasn't bad. The view and atmosphere was nice too, as was the service. I definitely want to go back and try some new things on the menu!

Shawn T.

Yelp
Quick and friendly service. Building had a good amount of parking and lots of indoor and outdoor space. Went with my family and was able to try several dishes. For appetizers we got the corn dip and the Ricotta and Goat Cheese Crostini. Personally the crostini was my favorite. It was crispy and served with a really great marinara sauce. For entree I got the lasagna which was also amazing. I was also able to try the pork medallions from the Serbian part of the menu and would definitely recommend them.

Frieda M.

Yelp
OMG! This is a hidden jewel. We needed a late night bite after attending a stage production. The drinks were reasonably priced, and the corn dip was delectable! We negotiated over who would get the last slice of pizza. We will definitely be back! Do yourself a favor and try this restaurant!

Maddie K.

Yelp
My home away from home! My family has been going here for YEARS and it's still our favorite place to meet for dinner. The service, the food, the atmosphere - all 10/10! Highly recommend coming here if you haven't. The patio is great for big groups and for when the weather is nice. Inside is a little small but that's what makes it special. Servers are always top notch- they give great advice on what to order and never let your drink go empty! You literally can't go wrong with anything on the menu but a few Of my favorites are: Goat cheese crostini, bruschetta, Milanese pizza, Ravioli and the Stuffed Peppers- so delicious! Also - make sure to order a side of their house made feta dip - it's even better than ranch to dip your pizza into

Belle N.

Yelp
Love this place! Has a great ambiance. The pizza is amazing and so are the salads. It's a cozy and welcome place - I will definitely be back.

Elizabeth L.

Yelp
I am very sad to leave this review, as this is a restaurant I have been coming to with my family for the past 10 years. In what can only be described as a strange accident, a portion of our pizza accidentally slid off of its metal plate onto the ground. When we brought this to our server's attention, he asked us if we would like another pizza. After we said yes (since we'd only consumed half of it), he returned and told us that the manager would not allow it. He asked us if we would like to pay for another pizza; we declined. We paid for a full 16-inch pizza that we'd only been able to enjoy half of. Later, we were informed that our server had told the manager that we had knocked the pizza onto the ground. This is odd and disappointing behavior from a place that has only been exceptional for the past decade. We were confused and hurt by this news. It truly makes me sad to say this, but I do not wish to return to this restaurant. If you go, you'll probably have a nice experience because the food and service are generally always great. However, if anything goes wrong, such as what happened to me, do not depend on the staff or management to respond accordingly or fairly. I know the restaurant can do better. I wish them best of luck in their endeavors. I will not be returning for now.

Pj M.

Yelp
Seating Area outside is ok, but very loud on a Saturday night. When we were seated it wasn't very busy, but somehow our server was too busy to take our order. Slow service. After placing our order, we heard another server telling his table about specials, something we were not aware of and would have been nice to know. They are a Serbian restaurant that serves a Mexican pizza...seems strange to me. My Intermezzo Supreme pizza was just a regular pizza nothing special. My hubby ordered pasta with chicken and veggies, but there were no veggies to be found, I gave him some from pizza. When we received the bill it was posted and we were told that 3.5%. would be added if we used a credit card, but if we paid with cash we would save money. This should have been posted up front on the menu not told to us after the fact. Not my favorite place.

Heidi Y.

Yelp
The atmosphere here is so welcoming. Our waiter friendly funny and quite capable! My daughter and I split the decadent beet and orange salad and the Sarma! Delicious!

Elizabeth B.

Yelp
We split the Intermezzo Supreme and corn dip. The pizza was great, but the corn dip was a disappointment to me. The chips were kind of stale and the dip didn't have a ton of flavor. Saturday's are half priced martinis, making them $6! I had the lemon twist, which was great.

Kwame D.

Yelp
Man when I tell you I go here just about every weekend, love the staff love the FOOD. Man this place is straight fire! I've tried every pizza on the menu and I've tried just about every pasta. I just tried the Piroska and that was probably the best Serbian dish I've ever had. Highly recommend

Ben C.

Yelp
Open late, everything from scratch, strange but delicious options! What's not to love. Great date spot.

Nicole B.

Yelp
We went here before we were going to royal tot for the Christmas pop up. We loved the pizza and also enjoyed a nice bottle of Italian wine for a decent price. The one Chianti we wanted was sold out but we had another good choice. We sat outside because the inside was busy and it was cozy even though it was cold outside. They had a tent and a space heater which was perfect. We will definitely go back!

Chris S.

Yelp
Best pizza in Charlotte in my opinion. They also offer a good mix of entree dishes, traditional Serbian fare and some good pastas. I highly recommend giving it a shot!

April S.

Yelp
I am a long-time customer who will 100% not return due to the horrible and dismissive service by the bartender today. They made an error by not making my order correctly (gave me 1 instead of 2 pizzas). Not on purpose, I get it. Her terrible attitude and completely ignoring me was not at all okay. If the owner/manager allows for this --- I'm no longer a fan and will find overpriced pizza elsewhere in charlotte. NBD, I guess. Have at it, Intermezzo. I realize staff is short but this is a low. Oh well.

Kelly C.

Yelp
We've eaten here twice now- once at the bar and once at a table. Both times the service and food were excellent. Intermezzo has such a cozy feel and you feel completely transported out of Charlotte. The food is excellent; especially the mushroom pasta and the pizzas. I love grabbing dinner here when we're in the area.

Maggie L.

Yelp
Pretty good food! The ravioli was exceptional, the sauce is what really made it. The chicken pesto pizza was tasty, as well as the salad. Giving 4 stars because our waiter up charged us $3 to put the Parmesan on the table and a side of marinara, without mentioning the up charge. Other than that I was very happy with it and would go again!

Mateo M.

Yelp
Things to know before you arrive... They charge you 3.5% for the convenience of using a credit card no matter what the amount(this is not disclosed until you go to pay) Don't sit outside if you can, the street noise is pretty loud. 20% gratuity for parties of 6 or more. Had wanted to try this place out on the recommendation of a friend, however probably would not return again. I ordered the Piroska, which is basically a calzone, and it arrived looking great. However it was anything but. The filling was only a few small slices of ham, literally 2 small mushrooms, and a small amount of sauce and cheese. It was mostly airy bread, with unmelted and cold shredded cheese on top, and once I finished I was anything but full. I will say the dough was actually good, it just was not filing at all, and for $17, I had higher expectations. The service was also a bit lacking, we were seated, and then had to get up so our table could be moved over and another could be packed in next to us. Our server was friendly, but extremely slow and had a great excuse everytime he forgot about our table(multiple times), blaming mostly other tables for his lacking attentiveness. All In all a solid 3 star experience...I think there are quite a few pizza places in plaza mjdwood you would be happier patronizing.

Cissi R.

Yelp
Had dinner here Saturday and the food was great as usual. Our server, Jacob, was great, attentive without hovering. This just a heads up. they are now charging a 3.5% card processing fee, so use cash if possible. We weren't advised up front, it was as printed on the bottom of our check.

Dennis C.

Yelp
Food used to be better.. then Add 3.5% when you use a cc. I get the cc charges suck. But get that money somewhere else.. people hate being nickeled and dimed..

Mathew M.

Yelp
Recommended to us as a great place and I saw all the positive Yelp reviews so we visited on a Saturday night. it, It was ok, not great. The food was ok, but we sat on a very loud patio by a busy street. The service was slow and we were jammed into a corner too close to people (see picture). Things to know when you go: They do have private parking which is nice. The restaurant charges you a 3.5 % credit card fee on top of the meal, that the don't tell you about until you are ready to pay. It is not on the menu. If you have a group of 6 or more, you will be charged a 20% service fee whether the service is good or not. If you order chicken and vegetable pasta, don't expect to see any vegetables. You may like the restaurant and I hope you do, but I probably won't go back.

Gregg R.

Yelp
Excellent Pizza Thin Crust with fresh cheese Made everyday there. Sauce was perfect. But Very Loud and don't seat outside because the chairs are terrible. We seat down outside than asked to be seated inside. Great Food Guys

Yelp
Made a reservation on their website for 6pm for 6 people. Showed up 10 minutes early to a very rude host. She claimed we did not have a reservation ( i had a screen shot proving it too) but could find us a seat. Squished us on to a four top claiming the high chair the baby was in could be in the corner of this very small table. Mind you initially there were two four tops put together and she removed one in front of us even though we said we need the room with a baby. Ate here before and loved the food hence our return. This was for a bday celebration. I give it one star for rudeness and unfortunately will not return. Too many other places to chose from. I'm sad b/c we really were looking forward to the great food we had previously.

Yelp
After hearing so many good things about this restaurant, I went with great expectations. First of all, my group was seated outside (patio), and I never bothered to step inside the restaurant...so not sure what to say of the restaurant itself. Though nothing fancy, the patio was nice, offering a view of Uptown Charlotte's skyline. Since situated just steps away from city streets, it was also somewhat noisy...but tolerable. Their menu was heavily Italian, which I sort of expected since I previewed the pics on Yelp. The one big disappointment was that they no longer served Bureks, a Serbian specialty! I was actually hoping to try their Beef or Cheese and Spinach Burek...so that was a huge bummer. Instead, I opted for one of their pizza. Decided to go with their smaller, 10-inch "Intermezzo Supreme"...and it turned out to be a great choice. The pizza crust was near perfect, light and near flakey...just the way I like it. The toppings were also just right...not too heavy on tomatoes, or meats, but just the right mix of everything. I managed to eat every bit of the 10-inch pie! BTW, I also ordered their Peach cocktail (forgot the exact name?), and it was amazing...which was a relief, given that it costed $12. The service was really good, especially considering this was a fairly big group of girls (again). Also, the 20% tip wasn't included in our individualized bills. Maybe this is a new trend with group dining? Not complaining! Overall, the restaurant met my expectations (minus the Bureks!). I definitely need to return and try some of their Serbian dishes...but it'll be a struggle, given how much I love their Italian specialties on their menu.

Yelp
Authentic staple of plaza Medwood! Never disappointed and always fresh. I could eat the bruschetta for the rest of my life along with the blackened chicken pasta. Cocktails are delicious, atmosphere is cool and intimate.
