Intermezzo Coffee & Cocktails

First time here. After seeing positive reviews I decided to check this place out. I came in right as they opened since i wanted to find parking easily on Central ave. I was greeted as i approached the counter but didn’t feel welcomed. The person took my order and didn’t once smile i felt intimidated after asking for the menu as it was my first time visiting. I got the iced gingerbread latte with oat milk so it was $10 for a small cup and $1 milk alternative and tip. The space was beautifully decorated for xmas and it was neat and tidy all around. The coffee itself was delicious but the service was not great so after that encounter I don’t think i would come back.

What a great spot! My husband's work had their division Christmas party here and it was such a great spot. The decor and ambiance was nice and the cocktails were outstanding. Also, the service was on point. Quinn did such an amazing job making drinks and taking care of us last night. Very attentive and went our of his way to help. Would absolutely come back to this spot for drinks or even coffee.

Intermezzo is a lovely little coffee shop! The decor is beautiful and they decorated so nicely for the holidays. There’s coffee is sooo delicious and their sweet treats are divine. The staff are kind lovely people and I always see at least two friends when I go there! They also have night hours and djs!! A win!!!

Always an absolute pleasure to come to this St. Pete staple of a coffee shop + cocktail bar. Their espresso is top notch and they do an *excellent* job with their espresso-based drinks as well (Lattes, Cappuccino’s, etc). They always have really creative seasonal drinks that always hit the spot and encourage you to try new drinks. For cocktails, the happy hour is an absolute steal and their liquor collection + skilled bartenders makes for some of the best cocktails you can have in St. Pete! The staff is always incredibly nice too!

I needed a cocktail and little “pick me up” in preparation for the St Pete Pier drone show. My GF and I had an amazing time at the soft opening of Bar Mezzo, and we were told we had to check out their original sister location. This was perfect. Barista/bartended PM was incredible. The rum punch, old fashioned, and vanilla latte were world class. It’s been a long time since I had a great latte, and this is just what I needed. The prices are a steal for this area. Most importantly the service is what sets this place apart. They are efficient and friendly with attention to detail and super cool vibes and music. This is a must stop if you are on this part of Central Ave.

Intermezzo is hands-down my favorite coffee shop in St. Pete. Their coffee is consistently perfect, rich, smooth, and clearly made with care. The homemade syrups are the kind you actually taste the quality in, not overly sweet, just balanced and thoughtful. There’s something about the atmosphere that feels like a little Italian café dropped right into the heart of St. Pete. It’s relaxed but elevated, full of energy but never rushed. It’s the kind of place you can start your morning or wind down with a cocktail and feel completely at home.

Gorgeous space and baristas who know what they’re doing. Pretty reasonably priced for standard espresso drinks, considering the location. Also the patio area is such a vibe and they play good music there, nice spot for getting work done.

Omg… I just had the best coffee martini ever! This place is absolutely wonderful — cool, chill jazz music and an amazing vibe. What really sets it apart is the staff: attentive and always making sure everything is just right. I rarely give 5 stars, but this spot truly deserves it.

I've been to this place for both coffee in the morning and cocktails late at night. I am impressed with both, and I love how the place easily transitions to a cocktail bar from a coffee shop, as the seating works for both. I enjoyed my morning coffee (and a little bit of work) seated next to someone's very well-behaved puppy (plus points for the place even though it was another patron's dog). Service was quick and super friendly, even recommended me the usual favorites when I asked. I think I went for a boring latte since it was one of those days, but I was super happy with their brew. Let's move on to the cocktails at night. I have had a couple of drinks here so far, and love their mixes. I cannot remember the exact name of the drink, but I know that if I see it on their menu I will remember it. It was so refreshing and citrusy. I also had their espresso martini equivalent, can't go wrong with that. They elevated that drink and now I'm spoiled.

Stopped in for happy hour on a Wednesday and Intermezzo was a vibe as always. I was on the hunt for an espresso martini, so I ordered the Branca Brew, which was surprisingly even better and more unique with cold brew and bourbon! Definitely enjoyed it. Bees knees is excellent if you like sour cocktails.

The hype with this establishment is obvious, service is always great, food is delicious, coffee is excellent and ambiance very nice on Central ave. Definitely will be returning again.

The atmosphere here is SO cute and such a nice place to meet a friend or get some work done. I had an orange vanilla latte, and you could really taste the orange! It was pretty good, though the coffee was a bit strong for my liking. The service was great and pretty quick. This is a super cute place for both coffee and cocktails downtown

Located in the middle of a downtown area. While there was a lot of parking in the area, the street was very packed. Service was fast. There was limited seating side- maybe max 20 seats. It's on the smaller side. It had a cute candle lit feel when the sun went down. The drinks were served in a fancy glass cup. The drinks itself were good! Just delivered slightly cold.

Intermezzo is a place I make sure to visit, especially around Christmas time, and it never disappoints. Super cool spot to grab a drink (coffee or alcohol or both!). I was happy to see they had some mocktails on the menu and enjoyed the Tropica mocktail. Would love to come back here during the day or again at night again. Highly recommend!

Checked out Miracle at Mezzo and it was a blast! The place was decorated to perfection with vintage Christmas decor. So cute! We got here around 6pm on a Friday night. The bar was crowded but not overly packed upon arrival. We were able to secure a table with a chair and bench. It was so cozy! I ordered the Elfing Around for my first drink. It has cognac, a mulled wine reduction, champagne, lemon, aromatic bitters, and absinthe. It was fantastic! It came in a cute Christmas glass. I ordered a Koala Cooler for my second drink. It has applejack, blanc vermouth, aquavit, spiced apple, lime, celery shrub, eucalyptus bitters, mint, and soda. This was unfortunately not my favorite. It was describe as an apple soda but it was very very strong! Cute koala though. Would def come back to check this space out again at Christmas and throughout the year

Intermezzo is a great place for coffee and cocktails. The cocktails are truly crafted. This time I tried the branca brew ($12, $7 at happy hour) is a refreshing twist on a coffee cocktail. The fernet menta adds a crisp minty twist. It may not be for everyone but I'm a fan. And they have it on tap right now. Their whiskey selection is quite impressive with very fair prices on many great ones. I'd recommend going for happy hour for great prices ($7 cocktails).

Service and drinks were excellent. Really fun vibe, great selection of liqueurs. Frankie is an icon!!! She went above and beyond for us.

Vibes - immaculate. Drinks - incredible. Came here around 5:30pm for my husband to grab a branca brew during happy hour and a salted caramel iced latte for myself. Traveling from out of town and 10/10 love the vibes! Music is a little loud at this time, so I'd be curious if there's a bit more quiet/chill vibe during the day. We just may have to come back!

This place is so cute! I love seeing all the decorations up for Miracle at Mezzo. Since I went during the day, I decided to get one of their seasonal drinks - gingerbread latte, which was sooo good! The service was also great! Even though there was a bit of a line, staff did a great job. I will definitely be going again and hopefully while the decorations are still up!

Each time, it's always great service and drinks. Ambiance can vary on the time of day, overall still good in my books. Thai Gimlet and their Old Fashioned are a must!

Coffee spots are my jam! I frequent a select few often and rotate weekly. Intermezzo is one of them. To me, this place is a 3.5- not quite 4 stars. While their coffee isn't my absolute favorite roast, I do love the clean vibe and the staff is always so welcoming! They serve day time traditional cocktails and then at 5pm, they offer their expanded menu cocktails. One of my favs right now is one that has matcha in it- it goes down waaayy to easily! I do request it with light lemon since it tends to overpower the cocktail. When I'm not ordering a cocktail, I normally opt for the matcha. Love that it isn't pre- sweetened (I bring my own). They have seasonal beverages (including alcoholic) and right now my fav is their strawberry matcha. It's pricey so sip it slow! One thing I don't love is that they cut off the wi-fi at 4pm- work days normally run until 5 and, while I understand you don't want people camping out on their laptops, the place doesn't pick up starting at 4 so another hour won't do any harm. Recently, they completely cut the wi-fi off on the weekends- again, I understand people may want to camp out but how about allowing early birds a chance to get some work/personal work done at least until 11-12? I'm an individual that will order 2 beverages if I spend a few hours there but now even bringing a book to read makes me feel like I'm taking up space. Another thing is that I hope they bring in an option or two of gluten free items- it would be a nice to have a choice since they do carry an assortment of cookies and pastries.

Great happy hour 5 - 7pm with $7 cocktails (WOW)! The Branca Brew (which is on their HH list) is awesome and not overpowering in terms of the Fernet. The Carajillo, with the hard to find Licor 43, is amazing! The bartenders are absolutely wonderful...super friendly and engaging. I need to add this to my place to my regular rotation!

As a musician and vocalist myself, I have always loved going out to listen to live music. As we are new in town, having lived in NYC for 45 years. Intermezzo was recommend to me by the woman who previously owned the house we now rent. She was a dancer, has lived here her whole life, and is very tuned into the local cultural scene. She recommended the jazz nights at Intermezzo, and I met her and some of her friends there last month. I bought an absolutely wondrous cocktail at the bar, then sat down to listen to the great jazz band. It was such a lovely evening! The crowd was attentive, and also friendly. We met the young women sitting at the table next to ours, and they told us to listen to a hot new young jazz singer. I had heard of her, but they told me about her newest album, and when I got home I went online to listen, and she is AMAZING. So this place gets the Full Five Stars. The bartender was handling the many (many!) drink orders (lots of patrons for these jazz nights, I am happy to see!), the quality of the cocktail was exquisite, interesting and executed just so. Delicious! So points for that aspect of the evening and venue. I've already mentioned that the crowd is well-mannered, interested in the music, and still very social. These are all huge plusses in my book. I hear they are going to be moving (sad, because the space is beautiful!) to a larger venue just a little down the block. It's great that they need a bigger space, so kudos to the management. I love this place. Go, you won't regret it. (You have to go early to get a table, but there are lots of tables outside if you don't need to sit right next to the band like I do. We musicians want to "see them spit and sweat" as we say. Live performance is my THANG.

Intermezzo Coffee exceeded all expectations! Following a friend's recommendation led me to experience the enchanting "Miracle at the Mezzo," creating the best holiday vibe. The vintage 1940s smoking Santa and holiday photos added a charming touch. The service was truly exceptional, embodying the perfect holiday spirit! I opted for the honey lavender latte with oat milk, and it warmed my soul--it was a flavor sensation! A solid 5/5 raving review for Intermezzo Coffee--my new go-to for coffee. I'll definitely have to come back for cocktails!

Intermezzo, intermezzo, what can I say? Blending coffee and alcohol with outdoor people watching is always a win in my book. We came to Intermezzo before walking around St Pete for the afternoon. We ordered a cappuccino, an iced lavender latte, and a cookie. The service was excellent and the coffee was the perfect little spark to get our day started. The little sitting area in the back is relaxing. A nice spot of coffee before touring central Avenue.

I've alway.loved this coffee/ cocktail bar. Everyone is friendly, the drinks are creative and they do such a good job decorating for Christmas, Miracle on Mezzo . When you walk in during the holidays it feels like when you're walking into a holiday wonderland. It'll put you in the holiday mood if you're not already feing the holiday spirit. They have a special holiday drink menu with creative holiday names. When we stopped in they weren't serving the holiday cocktails yet, they start tonight. We ordered to coffee cocktails, the mexicano and coffee cocktail with bourbon. They both are good but I prefer the bourbon and coffee drink. We'll be back to try the holiday cocktails.

Loveee this place! Great vibe and atmosphere, fun and knowledgeable baristas/bartenders, and incredible drinks. We only tried the cocktails and did not have any tea or coffee drinks but the cocktails were crafted expertly. I don't think I've ever had a better coffee cocktail (so much so that I definitely want to try just the coffee next time). It was called carajillo and I'd recommend it even to people who don't like coffee. I can't recall the liquor used in it, but whatever it was, was perfect for the combination. My friend got the La sirenuse which is a drink made with their HOMEMADE limoncello! WOW! Super impressed by this and it was the favorite at the table. My gf got the bees knees which was extremely delectable and refreshing. I WILL 10/10 be back here multiple times.

It's such a struggle to find a cafe with nice tea and coffee that is open late, but Intermezzo delivered! They have a bar (which is probably the main reason they are open late). But it was still such a treat to find a cozy place with a cute atmosphere that still served quality tea and coffee late into the night. My friend got an iced hibiscus tea while I got a hot white tea. Both were flavorful, not over-steeped or bitter, and were at the right temperatures. Even though it was really busy, the service was really good, and it was still comfortable to sit inside/we could still have a conversation and hear ourselves.

Intermezzo is a stunner, and I love how involved they are in the community with their markets, seasonal concepts, etc. I came in to spend the morning working and they were out of a few teas, but otherwise pleasant as always, and love the white walls / natural light to feel productive!

Most definitely coming back here. There are so many I want to try off their menu! Smooth service and a quick pace when they were pretty busy. Yay Saturday nights.

I went here for the kentucky derby pop up & had so much fun! The bartenders were so quick & professional. They also had oysters outside that were amazing! Such a fun atmosphere.

I've been coming here for years and wanted to write a review to show my appreciation. Intermezzo is an intimate yet casual place to grab a craft coffee during the day or a craft drink by night! Their bartenders are outstanding and very knowledgeable. You can tell the have a true passion for crafting cocktails. Ask them to make you something off the menu if nothing stands out to you and you won't be disappointed. I love sitting out on the little side patio and people watching people at enigma on a warm night. Can't beat this place!

Absolutely love miracle at mezzo, when they turn into a Christmas pop up bar! This year felt more "winter wonderland" than the North Pole...like walking into the set of a 90s Christmas movie. Absolutely adorable. Drinks are 10/10 and handcrafted to perfection. Every detail down to grating spices is coverEd. Always my favorite place to go in st pete during the holidays!

We totally love this place... the only downside is we don't live close enough! LOL. The coffee and teas are amazing, best quality. It's obvious they know and understand how to make good drinks. The staff is always super friendly. Don't know what to get... just ask and they will give great suggestions based on what you like! Only had a couple cocktails.... But still has never disappointed! The simplistic decor, very bright but warming inside.. they can get busy on the weekends so there may not be available seating inside. Yes, they have some outside tables as well! If you are downtown in the Edge district.. definitely check them out!

I've been on on a hunt for a place that serves not just good coffee but good coffee past 5pm. I came here for the first time the other day and I was surprised by how nice and welcoming the baristas were. They were quick to answer any questions and give a sample! I had a vanilla oatmilk iced latte and it was so good. The espresso was perfectly balanced, not to sour not too bitter, and the oatmilk doesn't have that one weird taste that some oatmilks have. My partner got the kyoto, slow drip iced coffee, and its just as strong and smooth as it's supposed to be. There's plenty of seating inside but if you prefer to people-watch I suggest to sit outside. They do have daytime cocktails which I'll definitely try next time. I love the concept of this place. 100% recommend!

Came here for the Christmas themed bar and it was adorable! The drinks were fun and the atmosphere was festive and cozy. Stay long enough and you get to see snow! (Bubbles but still fun!) Bartenders added to the fun by throwing out little Christmas koalas. Overall, a fun place to visit with tasty drinks!

Delish treats at the counter but it's the cafe selection that wins the day. Made to order latte is insane and the spiked cold brew is a great way to start your day. The dining area is decked out for Christmas currently and the seasonal drinks that I've had are awesome, Ginger bread latte!!!, Megan waited on us and she's a lovely young lady.

Fantastic Happy Hour!! Delicious cocktails starting at $7 and the deals run everyday until 7pm. The coffee here is so good, you can tell they take pride in their craft. Even the espresso in their espresso martinis tasted upscale. Chill environment with indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly and kind staff. Super excited for them to open their new, larger location!!

This is a great destination anytime, but they make the holidays extra special. They always have a creative craft cocktail list for each holiday. Great decorations for holidays. Lots of flowers for the valentines holiday and a special drink menu. My friends and I were Celebrating galantines day. Love trying their special holiday themed cocktail menu. The Christmas menu was incredible. So my friends wanted to try this menu too. We tried the "not another drink named 'strawberry fields'" It was great made with bols Genever gin, fresh muddled strawberries, and graham cracker infused cream. This was sweet and perfect for Valentine's Day. I would definitely recommend it. 10/10

Stayed in St Petersburg and this was my favorite spot every morning. My cold brews were perfect, everyone was very friendly and met several locals. It is a cute little establishment and enjoyed my time there.

Super cute place. Came right before Christmas with some friends to grab a drink before we had lunch so the place was decorated for the holidays. It was an interesting mix that it's a coffee/cocktail shop. They had a Christmas cocktail menu which was nice to have holiday inspired drinks. Staff was friendly, drink was great so I will leave it at that :)

Cool vibes! Hipster coffee shop with craft cocktails, wine by the bottle and a few select beers. Mainly bakery style sweets but they also do raw oysters sometimes. Live jazz on Tuesday nights is awesome. Comfortable seating. The lone restroom is bigger than most houses. Lots of outdoor sidewalk seats. The problem, as with almost everywhere sellling "craft cocktails" is it takes a long time to make these masterpieces. So you may stand in a long line, like out the door, to get yours. Good luck with refills if its busy. The lone bartender is as fast as he can be, but it still takes time. Definitely a cool place to hang out.

It's Christmas season so if you're looking for holiday decor and specialty cocktails then this is your spot. If going on a weekend then be ready to fight an overcrowded bar to order a drink from a small 2 person manned bar. You get to listen to Christmas music and marvel at the decor so no one is anything other than chipper. There seemed to be a few tables and chairs inside but much to my surprise-a camper turned bar outside as well as well as a few more tables and chairs. Drinks are served in festive glasses and have cute names. I got the Yippie Ki Yay Mother F****r! A rum based drink served in a Santa boots mug. I was pleasantly surprised by the average priced drinks, I was almost sure they would be overpriced. Drinks were delicious and if you're doing it for the 'gram then it's totally worth the crowd.

Very communicative, knowledgeable, and pleasant. Ambiance is perfect date spore for conversation at normal auditory levels. I did enjoy a mixed beverage and coffee. However, I would recommend this location for their mixed beverages.

Such a super fun pop up for Christmas! We had some yummy cocktails and enjoyed the holiday ambiance. Got there super early because it gets very crowded. Cocktails are pretty pricey $15 and up but the cute cups and ambience are worth a splurge for the experience. Great way to get into the holiday spirit!

Popped in here to check it out and and I think it's cool you can get coffee or something more on the libation side. It's a cute little place w inside and outside seating. I just got an iced coffee and my friends got different teas. We were super happy and pleased. I would have loved a pastry but my diet said no ha ha. A cute spot to stop in when on central.
