Food Guy Steve Dolinsky’s Final NBC Chicago Segment Will Air on May 29 | Eater Chicago

"An arena that serves as the home of the NBA’s Clippers and was cited as an example where Dolinsky could apply his knowledge of local food trends to refresh and elevate culinary offerings at a stadium-level operation handled by Levy." - Ashok Selvam

South Bay Breakfast Burrito Spot Phanny’s Is Opening in El Segundo | Eater LA

"The arena’s arrival last month made it Inglewood’s third major event venue alongside SoFi Stadium and the Kia Forum, and while one might expect nearby businesses to thrive from thousands of daily visitors, some owners report the opposite. Several small-business proprietors say the impact has been a net negative: Karolyn Plummer of Sweet Red Peach and others have described adverse effects, and Kenny Taitt of Kenny’s Q BBQ & More reports sales dropped due to ongoing construction. Business owners have appealed to the city for help, and the Inglewood mayor’s office released a statement saying it will try to address traffic and construction issues that have prevented locals and visitors from frequenting small businesses." - Matthew Kang

Gov. Newsom Approves 4 a.m. Last Call for a VIP Area Inside Intuit Dome | Eater LA

"I note that the 100-person members-only club at Intuit Dome—represented by Steve Ballmer’s company Murphy’s Bowl—has been granted a unique 4 a.m. last-call exemption, making it the only venue in the state allowed to serve alcohol that late; Ballmer said the extension was needed to boost a distinctive Los Angeles community that draws hundreds of thousands of sports fans each year. The decision has drawn scrutiny given Connie Ballmer’s $1 million donation to Gov. Newsom’s recall campaign and Murphy’s Bowl’s more than $700,000 in lobbying for looser alcohol-advertising rules and face-scanning ID technology, prompting critics on social media to call the move an example of corruption. Assemblymember Tina McKinnor has defended AB 3206 as including “numerous safeguards” and as adding entertainment to complement over $2 billion in private investment, and Newsom said he would direct the CHP to work with local officials to monitor DUI incidents around the site." - Matthew Kang

The Best Food Concessions at Intuit Dome, a $2 Billion Basketball Arena | Eater LA

"I found that, built from the ground up in Inglewood, the 18,000-capacity arena is being positioned as the most high-tech and expensive basketball arena in the world: a $2 billion sports and music venue with frictionless payments, up-close seating, a massive circular screen, and first-rate acoustics. Since most heavy work was completed by mid-June, the arena’s concession experience was completely reimagined — with two main prep kitchens, numerous commissaries, and 21 cooking stations distributed around the building so dishes are prepared close to fans rather than shipped from a few central commissaries. The club emphasized grab-and-go ordering so fans can buy quickly and return to seats without missing action (and Ballmer even touted an expanded number of toilets to limit bathroom waits). Concession pricing hasn’t been announced but will likely be market rate, with discounts such as a $5 hot dog for Chuckmark Certified members. The VIP clubhouse (courtside access required) feels like an expansive sports bar with freshly prepared small bites, two buffet-style kitchens with full pizza ovens, and a bar that can support up to 12 bartenders. The facility also features outdoor plazas with basketball courts and stepped seating meant to resemble Times Square, will host local vendors, and has been intentionally made available to the Inglewood and greater South LA community." - Matthew Kang

Absolutely majestically futuristic, Here goes the review! Parking was well organized and efficient. The entrance across the bridge was stunning and the walk up line/check in was smooth and automatic. The directions to your seat were easily visible. Snacks and drinks are grab and go! The views are amazing, the sounds is exquisite What a blast this place is!

First time visiting for the Nelly concert. Very simple and easy process. Download the app and follow the prompts. Load a form of payment and set up the game face id I believe it’s called and boom your are good. The staff interaction I did have was very helpful and pleasant. Bring cash to tip the bartenders! The entire experience was like a step into the future! The Intuit Dome app is required for every person in attendance.

You must have the Intuit app to even enter which is puzzling. So if you purchase 2 tickets for you and your spouse etc., you cannot simply show both tickets to enter (like every other venue). Your other person must have the app and show their own ticket to enter. It’s entirely cashless to the point that you must have a CC saved in the app (their systems will recognize you based on your info and game day selfie photo that you have in the app). You’ll be auto-recognized when making a purchase. Simply choose your item(s) and walk out. Limited food choices, basically the same things in 20 different places. There are no hydration stations or soda stations on the Club level so if you purchase a souvenir cup you’ll need to venture up or down a floor to refill. Parking in the VIP garage is convenient and I would recommend although pricey. Watch your step on the stairs getting to your seat as they are not always straight. You may need to go right or left and step on a half-step. Views are good. Sound is a bit off for concerts.

My family and I went to the Ice Cube's 3-on-3 basketball tournament at the Intuit Dome. It was totally exciting, it's truly a well designed and put together place, also we got to see one of my best friend's son play in the game (Glenn Rice jr.). We had a wonderful time and a few snacks. As well as really enjoyed the show and all the excitement of just being out amongst the people. Thank you to Ice Cube and his staff for putting on such a great venue. Many blessings and much success. ✌🏾

We absolutely enjoyed our first experience at the new Intuit Dome for the Clippers game. The atmosphere was exciting with lighting and music like a party. The Die Hard fan section was so cool, cheering and calling defense non-stop. The 2 levels of immersive screens are used functionally as well as augmenting the experience showing stats, instant replays, and other fun stuff. We were blessed to enjoy the VIP Club section, with excellent views. The Club reminded me of my Facebook days, just pick the food and drinks you want without checkout lines (except you get automatically charged like Amazon Go). We also toured the top level section that has $13 seats. Unlike other stadiums, you get very good views, even at the top. Everything were designed nicely and technology appropriately integrated. We were told, there are restrooms 50 ft from every seat! Oh, Clippers absolutely crushed the Dallas Marvericks, 135 to 104, that helped, too. 🙂. Go Clips go!

Great venue. Didn't take too long to leave the west parking lot. No line at the VIP bar. The suites are spacious and modern.

First time experiencing a playoff game and it was such a good experience at the Intuit Dome. Drinks and food were NOT BAD. They were good priced and the were BIG! Drinks were around 13-18 bucks which is on par with going out to a restaurant. Not bad at all. The set up was beautiful and all seats had great views.

I’m a die-hard Clippers fan. Unfortunately, by the time I visited Los Angeles, the Clippers had already been eliminated from the playoffs. Still, getting to see their off-season home arena, known as the largest and most modern in the league, made the trip worthwhile. Although the interior and gift shop weren’t open, I was thrilled just to check out the exterior facilities.
