"For Thanksgiving, this River North hotel goes big with an extensive holiday buffet ($65 per person, $15 for kids). Start with soup and salad options, before moving on to the carving stations, which feature turkey, prime rib, and salmon. The sides stations include more than a dozen offerings, including cornbread stuffing, bacon collard greens, and sweet potato puree. "In case your dead-plant-filled apartment isn’t scary enough, the rooftop bar on top of the Godfrey has “haunted” domes you can rent on Halloween. Each one sits two to six people, where you can have drinks, watch a fire dancer, wear a costume (there will be prizes), and hope that there’s some sort of world-wide exorcism performed on this entire year. "This rooftop hot spot in River North will transform into a haunted theater where horror films come to life for a Halloween party from 8 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 26. Guests will check in at a spooky ticket window, pass through an eerie concession stand, and wander a maze-like theater filled with tributes to classic horror movies. A full menu will be available until 11 p.m., featuring horror-themed dishes like the Butcher’s Skull Board and Scream Supreme Pizza. Special cocktails include the Midnight Freeze and Sangre Sangria.
