Ambience is simply perfect- Cozy, elegant and ideal for relaxing meal. As a vegetarian , it was hard to find good options for Italian food but they were able to accommodate request and every dish we ordered was fresh, flavorful and crafted with care. The highlight of the experience was undoubtedly the caring serving staff. The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Might need to add some table salt or pepper as per your taste buds but overall food was unique and great quality. Street parking and as well as parking on back of the restaurant. Highly recommended reservation. Smoke free environment. Wheelchair accessible.

As an avid Italian food eater and a bias for NJ/NY having the best food in the country, this place could easily compete. First of all, the service. Your water glass will never be empty. They take customer service very seriously and want to make your dining experience as pleasurable as possible. Next the food! The minute you walk into the restaurant you can just smell an aroma of garlic bread. So of course, we ordered it as an appetizer. It was delicious, cheesy and fantastic. We also ordered crispy calamari that came with two dipping sauces that were a great compliment. Lastly for our entrees we ordered the chicken parm dinner with a substitution of vodka sauce. Out of this world! The food was delicious, the portions were great. This is a great spot in a great location in Indianapolis.

Google
Pretentious. We got there at 4pm they were only quarter full. So they said we could only eat at the bar. Without reservation. And subsequently, they were never more than 80% full. When we left the bar at 6 pm they were then 100% full. Then Caeser Salad barely tasted right dressing wise and had no parmesan cheese. Olive Garden's salad is much better. I won't waste my time on everything else like the burdened attitude of waiters ....

The wife and I had the best Christmas date night here with 4 courses including the spinach & artichoke bruschetta, Italian wedding soup with focaccia bread, sensational pasta carbonara, and the fresh to order zeppoles with hazelnut spread and some coffee's to top it all off. The experience was great from the service, to the ambiance, to the food! They had a special where if you spent so much money on a gift card you'd get a free $20 gift card on top - and we didn't think twice about doing it. We can't wait to come back!

Service, food and restaurant went above and beyond expectations. We are visiting from Florida and stumbled upon this gem. The best meal we both have had in a long long time. The restaurant was so busy and wasn’t sure how great the service would be. Even with tables full, they made us feel like the only ones I. The restaurant. I got the beef gnocchi and my other half for the lasagna. Pasta and sauce is made fresh on site and did not disappoint. We have an unplanned trip in our future just to come back here 🤤

Nice restaurant, very limited seating inside, but all in all, a good place to have dinner. Reservations are a must, so make yours as soon as possible. We sat outside for dinner, and it was a nicely decorated area and had plenty of shade. Staff was great and knowledgeable of the menu. Would definitely come back.

Google
We visited this location for the first time for a family birthday. We had a reservation for five people. They had our table ready for us when we arrived. The service was wonderful. Our waiter spent quite a bit of time explaining things on the menu and answering our questions. The food was wonderful. Each one of us had a different entree and there was nothing that was bad. We also got calamari and the cheese bread for appetizers. They boxed up our leftovers for us. And they are able to package up any leftover wine from their bottle service for you to take home. The atmosphere was quaint and cozy.

A very unique spot right in downtown beside Lucas stadium. I say unique cause the street is pretty rundown with construction and the entrance has a very small name plate. It was hard to figure Iozzo’s. Basis reviews, the food was excellent. My ricotta Gnocchi was delicious with pesto, ricotta and pops of cherry tomatoes. The nutty and tart flavor added such a good touch! The portion was enough for one person and I totally enjoyed my company and Nikki’s service. I believe Iozzos is very popular for dinner and does require reservations. They have a beautiful patio which is worth checking out on a good weather day (this week wasn’t one of them)

Yelp
This is the undisputed champ for traditional high quality OG Italian. I tend to get the eggplant because its awesome and a great value, but I have never heard a friend complain when eating here. Bar seating is a blast with tons of regulars. My guide to Indy Italian joints: Iozzo's for high end OG Italian, Iaria's for low end OG Italian, Nesso / Bocca tied for modern Italian

Yelp
Beautiful place with great ambiance, authentic food, and house made pasta. Compared the food to other high end Italian restaurants and felt like it was pretty comparable. Make a reservation if you can. I'm not sure if it was the hostess up front or if something else went wrong. My boyfriend and I walked in at 5pm and they said we wouldn't be able to get a table until 9pm so we decided to sit at the bar (it took about 25 min). Two women walked in after us without a reservation as well. Once we were seated at the bar, we looked back and noticed the ladies were then seated at a table. Not sure how that happened given that the wait time was "4 hours". But if there was a reservation cancellation, then I feel that we should've gotten priority at a table. On the bright side, the food is stellar. The ricotta gnocchi melts in your mouth. The only adjustment I would make would be to add less cheese. The bartender was very generous and recommended rigatoni pasta with the chicken Parmesan instead of spaghetti. She was right we are never going back to spaghetti. Appetizer was good and their soup special was velvet soup which tasted more like chicken and dumplings, but still very good and creamy. I wasn't too much of a fan of the desserts. We got a chocolate budino and a free spumoni for a birthday special. I have never had either of these desserts so it could be that I just don't like these types of sweets. I will definitely be coming back but this time with the reservation and I want to try so many other dishes.

Yelp
Everything was perfect from the moment we walked in. We were seated on the gorgeous, private patio, perfect weather, amazing server, generous portions of flavorful and creamy dishes with delicious Italian spices. We had a marvelous time with our friends surrounded by beautiful greenery with flowers and trees blooming around us. The patio feels so secluded, peaceful and romantic. You have trouble remembering your in downtown Indy. Indoors is gorgeous, too. Stop in for a delicious lunch or dinner.

Yelp
I'm torn. On one hand, the food was excellent, but the service was not. We went for our anniversary and left slightly irritated, only because you'd expect better service for a $75 dinner... Good: - The lasagna was delicious, with two sauces on top, big fan of the meat and cheese consistency. - The Maltagliati was so flavorful and tender, with perfect spices. Bad: - Was disappointed that we were stuck at a small, very wobbly round table that was partially in the middle of the doorway between the two sections. Water spilling everywhere each time it moved. When we politely asked if it would be possible to switch tables, we were rudely told no. - Being next to the hostess stand, we consistently had staff with their backs to us, speaking to each other, less than a foot away, making it difficult to hear each other. What was more disappointing was that the square low-top tables either did not fill up while we were there and one had only one occupant at it, etc. We would've ordered an appetizer if we had had more space as well. - Service got far more frequent in the last 10 minutes of us being there so we felt rushed out.

Yelp
I'm so glad a friend of mine recommended this place to me while I was in town for a Colts game. This quaint restaurant is located just a few blocks from the stadium going toward the interstate. The inside has a cozy seating setup as well as a separate bar area. We decided to sit outside on the patio and I'm so glad we did. You would not expect the ambiance of the patio from the outside of the building. Trees, plants, flowers and umbrellas for each table! It is such a relaxing place to experience, especially on a beautiful night like we had. Sara was our server and she was a sheer joy! A great conversationalist, always smiling and she provided us with some great recommendations. We decided to split our main entree and our salad and I'm so glad we did! The serving portions are HUGE, in true Italian style! We would have been taking the Marsala home if we each order it separately. The chicken was tender and the mushroom Marsala Demi glacé was delicious! The Market Greens salad was more than filling for a half order! The highlight of the evening was the "Sopi" that came with the bread. Sopi is a mixture of tomatoes, Italian herbs and oil. I'm telling you it was SO GOOD! What a nice twist for a dipping sauce. Sara even brought us more bread and Sopi with our dinner. An all-around 5-star dining experience that I can highly recommend!

Yelp
Amazing food and customer service! 5 stars all day! Salmon picatta is amazing Will definitely come back! Sara at the bar was an amazing bartender!!

Yelp
The food was amazing! I had the basil garlic bread for an appetizer and ate 5 of the 6 slices myself. So delicious. My entree was traditional spaghetti and that was amazing. For dessert I had the chocolate pudding with toasted marshmallow and graham cracker. It was good - I had never had anything like it before but it was tasty! The service was great. The server was knowledgable and very nice. The restaurant is smaller with about 20 tables inside and a bar top. Bar seating is all open but the other tables you need a reservation or can walk in. I would get a reservation for a Friday or Saturday night. We went on a Sunday evening and it wasn't too crowded. There is limited free parking adjacent to the building and I was able to find a spot there!

Yelp
We started our meals with the included soup/ salad which was delicious. The focaccia bread was also delightful. We then had rigatoni with vodka sauce and chicken piccata as mains. The food was delicious and the service was quick and kind. We also learned that on Wednesdays wine is half priced which was a happy accident. Next time we go, I hope to sit outside on the beautiful patio! We had a lovely meal at Iozzo's and will be returning.

Yelp
I'll start with our waitress, Ashley. She was awesome. Ashley was very friendly from the beginning, helping us with appetizer and dinner choices. She made excellent dinner recommendations. The Rigatoni Vodka Pasta, Veal Parmesan, Ricotta Gnocchi, and Spaghetti Marinara were all excellent. The appetizers, Crispy Calamari and Basil Cheese Garlic Bread, were awesome. And the soup and salad were also very tasty. We topped it off with dessert, Cannoli, Tiramisu Cheesecake, and Spumoni, which are a must. Leave room for dessert. You'll be doing yourself a favor. Although the area around the restaurant is a work in progress (new housing), the restaurant itself is very inviting. The service is great. The people there are extremely nice. It's an all around great place for dinner. When in Indianapolis, Iozzo's Garden of Italy is a must.

Yelp
We first went to Iozzo's too celebrate our anniversary shortly after it opened. Yesterday, we not only celebrated my wife's 79th birthday there, but also introduced a daughter and granddaughter to this exquisite Italian restaurant. They both rated their dinners as the best Italian cuisine in the greater metro area, and enjoyed Iozzo's cozy intimate atmosphere as much we always have. Additionally, they were both surprised, and impressed, with the extensive selection of available wines. A great dining experience!

Yelp
If you are looking for a small and intimate Italian restaurant, this is the place to go! We made reservations for a Sunday evening and there were very few tables still available. The burrata appetizer was AMAZING! I would go back just for that. Everything else we got was very good as well. Parking is a small area and you have to go around the back of the restaurant right now due to construction.

Yelp
Nice, classic upscale Italian, with a bit of flare and flavor. I had the crab tortelli as a main which was delightfully spicy. The star was the cheesy garlic bread, which is just simple (toasted bread, garlic and miserable, served with marinara sauce) but done very nicely. Back patio is a really nice environment too. Friendly hostess and waitress too! Would recommend.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a popular neighborhood restaurant with many of the classic dishes on their menu. We started with the calamari - it was crispy and tender, but a bit on the salty side. We regretted not ordering the garlic bread instead. The gem salad was very good and both of our entrees - Spaghetti Bolognese and Pasta Carbonara - were excellently prepared and I would order those again in a snap. The table next to us ordered the Lasagna and it looked impressive too. Service was friendly and the food was served promptly (on a busy evening). It was a nice dinner - this restaurant is a keeper.

Yelp
The food and the service was amazing. I haven't had such great Italian food like this in a long while. Loved the atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
There is always a warm greeting at the door. I have been a few times and the manager always remembers my family. They have the best homemade Alfredo sauce in town.

Yelp
Really between a three and four today. We sat in the bar area at a hightop. We've never eaten in this side before. Started with the Garlic Bread. It was really good, could do without the micro greens. I got the Green Salad. I liked the dressing. Husband got a Caesar, it was weird. Dressing was nothing like traditional dressing. He didn't care for it. My entree was Ricotta Gnocchi with a Filet and Gorgonzola Fondue. The Gnocchi was light and tasted great. The Filet lacked flavor and was undercooked for my taste. But I ate it without complaint. Never actually tasted any gorgonzola. Husband got Chicken Parm. His chicken had lots of flavor. It was much better than the filet. Spaghetti was good. Desserts were Budino ( Italian pudding ) and Zeppoli ( Italian donut ). The Budino was pretty much a chocolate pudding with a toasted marshmallow top. It was good but not as good as the Zeppoli. The Zeppoli was light and airy. Warm and yummy. Service was good. Our server was also the bartender. The condo that has gone up across the street is hideous. Eventually we are guessing the side with Iozzos will also be flattened and a condo built there too.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite Italian spots in the city. The service is quick and kind and definitely has a family vibe. My waiter said her aunt was the head chef which is so warming to know. The food is delicious! I ordered the calamari twice! It was great! The shrimp scampi was perfect and light weight. I am on a diet and trying not to do too many carbs so this was perfect! The portions are a good size. I will always come back to Iozzo's. Definitely an Indy treasure!

Yelp
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Iozzo's Italian Restaurant, and it was an experience to remember! The spaghetti and meatballs were absolutely delicious - perfectly cooked pasta, tender and flavorful meatballs, all topped with a rich and savory sauce that had me savoring every bite. The wine list was impressive, offering a great selection that perfectly complemented our meal. A special shout-out to Sam, who provided exceptional service throughout the evening. Their attentiveness and friendly demeanor added to the overall wonderful experience. Iozzo's has definitely become one of my favorite spots in town. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic Italian meal with a warm and inviting atmosphere!

Yelp
Stopped here because I wanted to try some nice Italian. Parking is a bit odd since you have to park on the street due to construction. Was warmly greeted by the hostess and immediately seated. The restaurant wasn't crowded at all which was surprising since it was Monday at dinner time. There's nice jazz music playing which adds to the ambiance. I tried two appetizers as my meal: the seared diver scallops and the calamari. The scallops and the sauce/sides that accompanied them were very flavorful, but they could have used more sear. The calamari was crispy and the sauces were nice, but nothing over the top. The two appetizers were both on the heavier side, so I wouldn't recommend getting both unless you're splitting them. For dessert, I had the tirimisu cheesecake which was really good. The slice was large but surprisingly light and wasn't too sweet. Iozzo's Garden of Italy is a solid restaurant if you're in the mood for Italian.

Yelp
I came upon this restaurant while looking for a place that has carbonara and they were the only ones I could find so I made the reservation for an early Valentines dinner with my hubby. Parking was a little confusing as there wasn't signs that it was ok to park in the lot at the end of the building and there's currently no street parking due to construction. We were greeted inside and had a brief wait even though there were plenty of open tables however we were about 10mins early for our reservation so not sure if that's why there was a wait. The restaurant was small and cute based on the size you can easily hear other's conversation and if there's a loud group it makes it hard to hear the other person at your table. Our server came to us promptly and gave some recommendations. Drinks- Moscato wine-which was amazing and I wished I would have ordered a bottle instead of a glass Hubby ordered a whiskey drink and he said it was really good as well. Espresso martini was the best I've had. They fresh grind the beans to order and you can tell. Appetizers- Beef carpaccio- absolutely amazing could have stood to be a bit thinner slices and maybe a splash more of balsamic it's more than enough for 2-4 people to share. Calamari- the breading was good but the calamari itself was chewy and they gave me both sauces and charged extra for them both. When I asked for the chili aioli one only. Just a beware moment so you don't have an u expected charge After appetizers as long as you order food they will bring out bread and oil/tomato dipping and the bread was soft and good however the oil/tomato not so good it was bitter and lacked any flavor Both entrees came with a salad we opted to upgrade to Caesar salads they will ask if you anchovies or not. If you do that will be an extra charge as well that you aren't told ahead of time. However the amount of anchovies you get is worth it. Overall salad was really good especially with the fresh black pepper Entrees- Lasagna bolognese- originally I was brought out the wrong meal as the server said he misunderstood what I wanted. One I received the correct meal it was phenomenal. It came out extremely hot in a little cast iron dish. It has a creamy Alfredo style sauce on one side and regular meat sauce on the other. It was a big portion so I brought the rest home. Pasta carbonara- the pancetta was delicious and house made overall it was good just very dry and kinda cold. Dessert- tiramisu cheesecake was basic and needed some more flavor and didn't remind us of cheesecake. Overall it wasn't bad but not exactly what we were looking for.

Yelp
Iozzo's is a great spot for Italian. The restaurant is on the smaller side, but has a warm vibe. We had excellent service and our waiter was prompt. We were pleased to have bread and salads with our meal. The salad was excellent and appropriately dressed. Our food arrived quickly. The chicken piccata was very good, as was the spaghetti. We were quite pleased with our time and would come back.

Yelp
Visiting Indianapolis for a work conference and decided to give Iozzo's Gardena try since it was walking distance from my hotel. Walk, drive, take an Uber, just go! I had the Lasagna Bolognese and it was excellent. Individually baked and a very generous portion with a delicious, rich bolognese sauce and lots of cheese. You won't be disappointed. Paired with an Old Fashion, a great last meal in Indianapolis before heading back home to California.

Yelp
We don't get downtown as often as we used to, but our recent visit to Iozzo's might just be the encouragement we need! We scheduled reservations for a table for 2, 2 weeks in advance. I have to say, that was our only disappointment,. When we arrived :20 early (and we called to let them know we were going to be early) we were told we'd have to wait on the specific table they had reserved for us. Although the were several open tables in the dining room, we were told again we'd need to wait after we arrived. Deciding to hit the rail at the bar may have been a blessing in disguise. The founder of Iozzo's grandson was the bartender and our server. He offered great recommendations, efficient and pleasant service, and a mean cocktail. Started out with calamari (I got the special Spicy sauce instead of marinara & it was FANTASTIC) and the garlic cheese bread. Calamari was well seasoned and lightly breaded. Thumbs up. My house salad was fresh and refreshing. My partners Cessar was delightful. The bread can't be missed. Save room for it! Entrees: lasagna & rigatoni vodka. Both plentiful and easily shareable. The house made sausage in the rigatoni was the star of the show. A side of the crispy potatoes added to the carb load and they were a welcome addition. Iozzo's is an intimate, classy joint. Great food, interesting cocktails and nice wine list. Highly recommend!

Yelp
My brother from Alabama flew in to GenCon. It was also his birthday and he picked this Italian restaurant within a mile of GenCon. He made a fabulous choice. There is a story here at this restaurant. Basically founded in 1930, died in 1940, and revived in 2009. You will have to get the full story off the menu. There is a lunch menu with cheaper prices and smaller portions. They do open for lunch then closes. Then they reopen for supper. The restaurant does have a classic feel to it. I picked Lasagna for my entree due to having Alfredo and Blognese sauce. I've never had lasagna with both sauces and it made for a fabulous lasagna. The 5 cheese stuffing also didn't hurt. It did come with a side salad with some kind of lemon vingarette. It wasn't my favorite salad but it was all right. Each table gets fresh baked bread with Italian spices. The bread was soooo soft and it went well with the olive oil and marinara sauce provided. My brother had the pepperoni pizza. I did not sample it but they had the very small pepperoni that cup up. But I did try his homemade chips and dip. The dip was some kind of cream cheese variety that paired well with the chips. My wife had the Margaritaville pizza and my stepson had the fettuccine Alfredo. I didn't get to sample either for being too full. The lasagna was amazing and that's why I gave it a 5-star.
google avatar

Michelle R.

Yelp
First, our waiter was a pro. Our meal service and cocktails ran on a dime. I had the shrimp fettuccine. That dish, I've found, goes one of two ways in most places. 1.) it is over-buttered and slimy 2.) it is flavorless. My dish was neither. It was flavorful, with a light touch of spice in a perfect --and perfectly light-- butter and lemon emulsion that coddled wonderfully al denté pasta. Our bread accompaniment was a mix of crushed tomatoes and olive oil. It was in perfect balance and paired well with the focaccia. I felt as though I was Anthony Bourdain, finding that perfect small place that cooks the heart of a traditional cuisine very, very well. And because of that, it is exquisite. If you know what I mean, you'll know you have to try this place.

Yelp
Iozzo's will forever be in my heart! Brick walls, moody lighting/cool light fixtures & perfect back ground music. The tables were spaced out so you had your own personal space with your party. This place has immaculate vibes My husband and I came here for the first time and we will without a doubt be back! Our waiter was so friendly (I believe his name is Gregory) and gave us menu suggestions that were 10/10. The servers were very timely with water refills and taking plates. The FOOD. Amazing. 10/10! The bread was warm and yummy, the salad was delicious! My husband is not a fan of veggies & he finished this salad, not leaving a marcel! haha We shared our pastas so we could both try them & we loved what we both got! We went to Paris last year & I have been dreaming of the pasta I had on the trip, the rigatoni alla vodka did not disappoint!! Dessert: a wonderful suggestion by Gregory was for all the chocolate lovers out there, go run and get you a chocolate budino!

Yelp
It's a fairly small spot but it's cozy and set up very nice. Our server was great and provided quite a few different recommendations. The food was amazing. The best Italian in Indy.
google avatar

Yelp
Been here a few times and again last weekend. The lasagna is SO yummy. I love that they offer it with both red sauce (which is rich and hearty--not wimpy and watery like some places make their sauce) and a creamy beschamel/alfredo-type sauce. Delish! I DO wish they hadn't gotten rid of the arancini on their menu. That's a bummer. But otherwise, we always enjoy Iozzo's!

Yelp
This place is an annual stop for my family. My family comes here every year after we visit my grandparents at Calvary Cemetery. So this place has meaning for my family. We love the food but the service is what brings us back!! This is the place we had Blanton's for the first time. And the best Fettuccine Alfredo. But let's be honest, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Our server tonight was fantastic and made it memorable. Thank you, Gregory!!

Yelp
Iozzo's is my go-to recommendation for Italian restaurants downtown. It is authentic Italian food and has a quaint inside setting along with picturesque outdoor dining that is sure to impress. Their gnocchi is truly like 'little pillows of heaven' as I saw someone once review it that way and it was spot on. Their Gorgonzola cream sauce will have you wanting that over Alfredo - any day. I love their focaccia bread and the oil they serve it with as a free appetizer. Finally, the edible orchid added to your pasta is the perfect touch to a delicious Italian meal you won't forget. Calamari was also fantastic!

Yelp
Three of us did Sunday night early dinner and decided to share quite a few items. We started with the Basil Garlic Cheese bread and the Meatball Martini. The server was very nice and informative. The drinks were a Riesling, a pour of Bourbon, and a lemon drop martini. I love that they use their homemade limoncello in it. The garlic bread was crispy and cheesy. I enjoyed the sauce that came with it. The meatballs were just standard. Nothing to shout about. The salad on the other hand is one of my favorite things. The lemon vinaigrette is so yummy. Since we ordered 5 entrees we got one salad and one soup(extra), which was Italian Wedding Soup to eat. I asked for the other 3 salads to be packaged to go so I can eat them for lunches this week. The server actually packaged 4 salads which was awesome. When the entrees showed up everything tasted really nice. The piccata pasta was a bit heavy in the lemon. I loved the short rib Ragu. The diavolo sauce was the most popular but definitely had a kick. If you are iffy on spice skip this one. I also enjoyed the vodka sauce. Everyone enjoyed their meals and we were too full for dessert. The bill came and we forgot to order a shot of limoncello. Our server was gracious enough to bring us a shot. Overall a solid Italian meal. We will return and I hope one day they will have the gnocchi on the menu with the brown butter sage sauce. Such an amazing dish. Iozzo's I hope you are listening

Yelp
I wish I could remember our server's name (black hair and glasses)- he was the one of most thoughtful and kind servers I've ever had! The service was timely and consistent even though the restaurant was busy, and I was extremely impressed. The ambiance was welcoming, quaint, and perfect for date night. We ordered the garlic cheesy bread as our appetizer, which we LOVED. I would not recommend it if you prefer crispier bread, as it was softer, but it was not soggy! Our server brought out house made focaccia bread with tomato's and olive oil as a surprise, and it did not disappoint. We ordered the Caesar and Caprese salads. The Caprese salad was our favorite, with a wonderful ratio between the mozzarella and vegetables. The crab ravioli was tasty although a bit one-dimensional. The ricotta gnocchi is a MUST ORDER with the filet tender and cooked to perfection. Both dishes were plated beautifully! I personally would not order the tiramisu cheesecake again- it was a very rich and sweet dessert. It did not complement the rest of our meals. Overall, a wonderful experience. I can't wait to come back:)

Yelp
I want to give Iozzo's Garden of Italy the biggest thank you for making my boyfriend and I's anniversary so great on Sunday. To be completely honest, I had never been there, and I only booked a reservation there because the Italian place closer to us was closed on Sundays. But, I believe in fate, and our reservation at Iozzo's was fate! When we arrived, we weren't sure where to park, but a quick phone call helped us figure it out (you can park in the lot next to the building!). They sat us immediately even though we were early to our reservation, and they let us change to an outside table. It was quite chilly inside, and the outdoor patio looked so beautiful. The waiter greeted us with menus and recommended some drinks. He came back with glasses of champagne to help us celebrate our anniversary. I ended up also ordering a limoncello spritz and my boyfriend ordered a strawberry limoncello martini. Mine was a unique blend of limoncello and Aperol that I have never seen somewhere else. Both were refreshing and excellent. Strong enough (but not too strong!), and they were delicious sipping cocktails. For our appetizer, we ordered the meatball martini. This was perfect because I feel the need to sample meatballs at every Italian restaurant, but I don't necessarily want it as a meal. We each got one and a half meatballs with a small sample of spaghetti. The meatballs were perfectly tender and moist, and they had a delicious flavor. I appreciate that they were not crispy on the edges which happens at places that don't stir the pot of meatballs enough. Both our meals also came with a market greens salad topped with a lemon vinaigrette and toasted bread crumbs. I personally loved this salad. It was light and refreshing. I only didn't finish because I wanted to save room for the main course. With the salad, they brought out fresh bread with olive oil that seemed to contain sun-dried tomato. Truly delicious, but also so filling!! The best part was certainly the main courses. My boyfriend ordered the lasagna, and I ordered the rigatoni vodka. The rigatoni vodka was perfectly coated in sauce, and the Italian sausage was evenly mixed in with the pasta. I loved that the pieces of sausage were small and moist. The noodles were cooked perfectly. I love when pasta is cooked, but still has a 'bite' to it. You can't even get me started on the fresh parmesan that was sprinkled on top. It added so much to the dish, and I was so obsessed. It was enough food to take half of it home for lunch the next day. My boyfriend let me try a bite of his lasagna which was phenomenal. I was happier with my dinner, but his was delicious too. He told me his favorite part was the cheese melted on and into the pasta. He had leftovers as well, but I wouldn't say it was enough for a whole meal the next day. For dessert, we went with the tiramisu cheesecake. Super creamy and chocolatey, but it had the perfect bitterness from the coffee flavor. I noticed the dessert menu recommended an espresso martini which sounded really good. I may have to try that next time! The overall environment at Iozzo's was amazing. I am so happy we sat outside. The garden section was so pretty, and the weather was perfect for outdoor dining. I recommend this place for any special occasion such as an anniversary, birthday, or graduation. I noticed that we were quite overdressed in comparison to the people next to us wearing jeans. Personally, I think business casual or a not-too-fancy dress would be best. Our server was great. For the entire meal. It was the day of the Indy 500, and it was not busy when we went, but I imagine once the race ended they got a lot of out-of-town folks dining there. Thank you again, Iozzo's, for making our anniversary so special!

Yelp
The bread was very well done and the melon gazpacho was fabulous for how hot it was. Unfortunately the rest of the food was subpar to us. The carbonara was very bland and the crab tortellini was overcooked on the pasta and undercooked on the store bought crab. The waitstaff did not come around regularly to check on us for drink refills or pepper and cheese to the point that we went to the bar for extra service. The owner was nice and comped our food unexpectedly, but this is not a fancy Italian restaurant with quality food. The table next to us seemed to love their food and they ordered the same things, but it was very bland and under seasoned for our tastes.

Yelp
Dinner to celebrate a doctorate. I went on Reddit and saw this place pop up in a lot of chats. 7-2024 they have construction around them. By the outside I was tempted to find something else but the reviews showed great. AND IT WAS. nice inside, bricks. Italian music playing. Dale was our server. Outstanding gentleman, describing items perfectly. Homemade noodles, sauces. There was not anything wrong with the meals from bread and salad through to dessert.

Yelp
10/10 Beautiful patio area, the whole fam could sit down and eat. Food was delicious and did not take too long. Just wish I brought a jacket for the breeze.

Yelp
Iozzo's is a classic favorite. This lovely Italian restaurant is just south of downtown Indy, and is tucked away in a quiet alcove. I'd say that if you're not looking for it, you won't realize it's there. The ambiance is lovely, very quiet & lowkey, with enough old world charm to feel cozy. The staff were super friendly and helpful with menu & cocktail recommendations. All of our food was delicious, though my pasta was a bit more al dente than I prefer, that could be down to personal preference. The bread was out of this world (I believe it's the only thing on the menu that's outsourced), an the calamari was superb. If you're looking for an intimate spot for an evening out, Iozzo's should be near the top of your list.

Yelp
I can Not say enough good things about iozzos. First time I went it was during lunch and I was left dreaming about the lasagna. Went back again and got the best experience on their patio and the food still amazing. Went again and still wonderful service inside, even with a late reservation they took care of us without rushing us out. The lasagna is definitely my favorite, but the steak and gnocchi was also divine. The salad always tastes fresh, they have a wonderful cocktail selection and I finally got to try dessert and was blown away!!! I always leave eager to plan my next visit

Yelp
Everything about Iozzo's screams "authentic"! The decor, the friendly service, the ambiance, and of course the food. I stopped in for a late lunch before they closed mid-day and was satisfied with every aspect. The bread and salad were very well prepared, especially the salad! You could tell lots of care was put into it without disregarding the appetizer. I enjoyed the carbonara with added shrimp. The texture was very rich and a bit salty, but tasty without a doubt. This place is worth a try!

Yelp
Phenomenal food. Service was wonderful. I have zero complaints and would highly recommend this place. Parking was easy. We had a reservation through open table but went an hour early and sat immediately at the bar and it was great. Service was wonderful- great suggestions, personable, on top of everything. Food- get the lasagna. It was the best I've ever had in my life. Large portions and flavor was outstanding. We tried garlic cheese bread, regular bread and oil, cheese ravioli and the show stopping lasagna. Drinks: tried the Bella Sol. Tweaked to be less sweet, he removed the simple syrup and it was great! Don't miss out on this spot, we will be going back.

Yelp
I was hoping Iozzo's would live up to the hype considering all the good things I've heard, but I was very disappointed. Let's talk about the good and the bad. Pros: very sweet and friendly staff. Portions were also quite big. Now the cons... to start us off they gave us house focaccia bread with a plate of crushed tomatoes with olive oil. I kid you not, they gave us four small cubes of bread. That's it. It was, to put it simple, quite a pathetic portion. Salads that came with our meal were bland and disappointing, the Caesar nothing like what it should be. Just weird and off tasting...our main entrees were the eggplant parm and lasagna. The parm was a disaster and simply not good, and the lasagna was way too overcooked and under seasoned. Neither of us finished our food and don't plan to eat the left overs. Biggest con of all: the price. There is no reason a piece of lasagna should be $30. Spaghetti with tomato sauce and four slices of eggplant shouldn't be $25+, either. The quality does not match the price at all. We likely won't be back.

Yelp
Great food, great atmosphere, excellent staff! Would definitely recommend. Some nights they have live music on the patio as well.

Yelp
We had a reservation and were warmly greeted and seated immediately on a Saturday night. Iozzo's has a great atmosphere, and our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu. We shared the Meatball Martini as an appetizer; my wife had the Chicken Piccata, and I had the seasonal grouper. Everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. We're looking forward to exploring more of the menu next time.

Yelp
I recently visited Iozzo's and I was satisfied. I'm Italian, so I may be a little biased here. FOOD: very generous portions, I appreciated their home-made pastas, although didn't love how they cooked it. The condiments were fine. I really enjoyed the side salad they bring with the pasta. The antipasti platter was good and also their home made focaccia. My favorite part of the meal were the desserts. Although I was really full, I was positively surprised by them, even the tiramisu was good, which I'm really picky about. AMBIENCE: we ate on the patio, which is nice, the location of the restaurant is a not really walkable from downtown , but their patio could literally be anywhere. SERVICE: personnel was nice and accommodating.

Yelp
We have been Iozzo's several times and every time it is great!! I never Yelped about them and thought I should... they deserve kudos! The service staff is wonderful and every waitress we have had was top notch! It is an Italian American style restaurant with cozy brick walls and classic looking posters. The food is always excellent! This is what we have ordered in the past and it is always delicious; Lasagna that is half Alfredo and half Bolognese House salad Italian wedding soup The tiramisu cheesecake is one of the best desserts out there The first time we went was in 2016. Here we are in 2024 and they are still doing a great job! We will be back. Definitely one of the BEST restaurants in Indianapolis

Yelp
Great place for a date night! The back patio is very cute. The ambiance is old classic Italian. Vodka sauce was a bit spicy for my liking. Carbonara was rich but good. Go for the Caesar salad, you won't regret it. Our amazing server recommended the chocolate budino and it was DELICIOUS. If you like chocolate, definitely get the budino. Slightly pricier than other Italian places in town but nonetheless still good. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
Best Italian food in Indianapolis. Have been here for lunch a couple times, and service has always been friendly, food delicious. I get the pesto which is homemade and does not disappoint. Would recommend this dish and this place as it's a great lunch spot with good ambience.
