A Guide To Eating On Ventura Blvd.

"Tired of sushi yet? Let’s hope not. Because this hidden strip mall spots is one of our favorite casual sushi spots in the city. All their rolls are solid (the Pink Panther is a must) and their main dishes are excellent. We could eat that Halibut carpaccio every day if we could. But most importantly, Iroha’s rustic interior and leaf patio area gives it the relaxed vibes you don’t easily get at high caliber sushi spots." - brant cox

Iroha Sushi Review - Studio City - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Picking a favorite casual sushi spot in Studio City is like picking a favorite canyon to cut through during rush hour—everyone has one, and everyone thinks theirs is the best. For us, we’ll always keep Iroha close. Hiding behind a folk art boutique on Ventura Blvd., Iroha is a Valley classic with a large indoor/outdoor space that feels like you’re eating sushi in a bamboo forest. The menu is too big for its own good—we’ve yet to flip through every page—but you really only need to concentrate on a few things: the spicy tuna on crispy rice, spicy miso soup, and any of their bento lunch boxes (soup, salad, rice, three pieces of sushi, and choice of sashimi or tempura for $24). photo credit: Matt Gendal photo credit: Matt Gendal photo credit: Matt Gendal" - Brant Cox

16 Best Chirashi Bowls to Try in Los Angeles | Eater LA

"This longtime Valley sushi restaurnt has a wide menu of everything Japanese, though the rolls and sushi are the main draw. The Iroha chirashi runs a bit more at $38 but comes with a fantastic selection of quality sashimi sided with ample sushi rice." - Matthew Kang

Fresh, Reliable, and Consistently Great, Iroha Sushi Is a Go-To in Studio City Iroha Sushi always delivers when you’re craving quality sushi with good variety. We went for a full experience and ordered mostly rolls this time: the Pink Panther, Orange Panther, Rock Shrimp Tempura, Lemon Roll, and Hamapeno, along with the creamy black cod and a beautifully plated hamachi jalapeño appetizer. Everything was super fresh and plated nicely. The Panther rolls are standouts, especially the Orange Panther with its clean flavor and vibrant presentation. The hamapeno had a nice balance of heat and citrus, very fresh. The vibe is casual and a bit busy, but the service was friendly and efficient. It’s clearly a local favorite. Pricing is on the premium end, but for what you get, it feels fair. We left full, satisfied, and planning to come back. If you’re looking for solid sushi in the Valley that holds up, Iroha is worth a visit.

I came here for the first time. Place is a little hidden from the street which I liked. I walked into the bar area. Place smells funny when you walk in but then smells kind of disappears over time. The menu needs to be updated. Pictures are blurry and you cant make out what type of fish it is due to the dim lighting. The rolls on the menu are in different pages and it gets very confusing. They should just list the fresh rolls and baked rolls together in the same page. Anyway, the sushi chef was awesome. He was very friendly and attentive. His sushi cuts and rolls he made me were delicious 😋 Miso soup was a little pricey $6. Typically $3 at other places. I thought the prices were high for this location. Almost $12 for two pieces of salmon sushi. Same for yellowtail. Seems like a bit much for what you get as far as the food and ambiance. The price you are paying is almost as if you were at a 5 star restaurant and this isnt it. Its a cute hole in wall place but the prices do not justify the experience. Waitress wasnt as attentive. Didnt check on me once. I had to get her attention to order an item from her and to bring the check finally. Not sure if I'd come back.

Incredible atmosphere, it’s tucked away in the back. I walked here so I’m not sure how the parking is. The Orange Panther roll was our favorite! The salmon absolutely melts in your mouth. Also ordered the Princess Roll which is baked and delicious. Highly recommend both of those rolls. My friend loved the Philly Roll and said it came out much larger than usual - the portion you get for the price is worth it. Definitely coming back here, nice hidden gem!!

Google
The food was good, I’d definitely go again. This is the solid and reliable local spot you’re going to go to frequently because the food is good, the menu is solid and you’re not breaking the bank. If I had to pick a favorite item, I’d say it was the albacore sashimi with crispy onion. Service was quick and friendly, super solid service! The atmosphere was so pleasant, it was lively yet not overwhelming. You feel like you’re out and about without it being all up in your face. The seating is mostly indoor seating and even the outdoor was covered. Parking was valet but there was a lot of available street parking, the street parking is with meters which take credit card and change.

Wow, this place is a hidden gem. I enjoyed my meal. They will ask the chef about gf options and are so professional and friendly. I highly recommend to anyone! Lemon deliciousness and hand rolls. The jasmine tea is delicious. My husband eats gluten and enjoyed his spicy tuna.

Google
Been coming here for years off & on. I definitely feel that the over all quality of the sushi is nothing special for the prices they charge - rolls are better. But on my last visit I was surprised when I noticed they have a “B” rating 😳😳😳 Please step up you quality & fix your health department rating - otherwise this neighbor will keep heading to other sushi spots

Google
Nice cozy restaurant. We came early at 11 for sushi and we were almost the only ones. The food was great quality and tasted delicious. All the seafood on all the dishes were soft and fresh. First the orange panther came out (salmon, shrimp tempura, lemony). Delicious. It came with fried onion crisps but i think it tastes better without the crisps. Then came out the small seafood ramen which they fully loaded with seafood. It was great, very flavorful. Came with fried onion crisps and finely chopped green onions which did add to the flavor. The dynamite was okay. Had better at other places. Baked black cod roll was interesting. It had a different softer texture sushi rice and had a sweeter milder sushi taste. Last was the baked 5 mushroom roll. It was heavy on the sushi vinegar and the Asparagus overtook much of the flavor, but i enjoyed it because I love mushrooms. I would come out again to try out the other things on the menu

Yelp
I'm so glad my buddy suggested Iroha Sushi of Tokyo. I'd been meaning to try this place for a while, and it didn't disappoint! From the outside, it looks like a small spot, but once you step inside, it's surprisingly spacious. Their menu is loaded with variety--whether you're into chicken, meat, or raw fish, they've got something for you. Perfect for non-fish eaters too! As for the sushi, it was solid, and I'll definitely be coming back. The highlight, though? The chef whipped up a spicy habanero ponzu sauce for us, and let me tell you, it was insanely hot and out-of-this-world delicious. If you're in the area, give this place a shot. Your taste buds will thank you!

Yelp
Japanese Dinner at Iroha Sushi: -Crispy Rice Cakes -Yellowtail Belly & Tuna Sushi -Pink Panther Roll -Baked Crab in Soy Paper Handroll -Baked black Cod Roll Meal was good just with all the Sushi options we have in the Valley you can find much better and for less. This meal cost $116 before tip. If I knew it would cost that much I would have chosen an Omakase meal somewhere else.

Yelp
Everytime I return, I am impressed. All the staff are very sweet. I ended up getting my new favorites which include the PK Roll & the North West roll. I couldn't resist getting my usuals that included: -Amaebi (Raw Sweet Shrimp) -Uni (Sea Urchin) Soooooooooo goooood! -Engawa (Halibut fin) If they have in stock...MUST GET! -G. Eye Syapper (One of our favs) Nom...nom...nom... No wait on a Friday at 6:30pm for a datenight.

Yelp
Enjoyed a couples dinner here -- they have valet parking and we were seated for our reservation right away. The place is cozy and the tables are packed in. The casual vibe is a converted office or even home with high ceilings. The staff is friendly and were sporting fun sushi themed t shirts. The tuna appetizer with potato cake was terrific as were our rolls and nigiri. Fresh, tasty and well portioned. I especially liked my blue crab and salmon belly. Quick tea and waters refills too. The only wrinkle was premium + menu prices.
google avatar

Josh J.

Yelp
This place is gooooooood. The crab miso soup is incredible, but the main character is all the sushi options, they have so many. Fresh fish for sure. Not the cheapest sushi in town but you definitely get what you pay for.

Yelp
One of my top favorite sushi spots in LA. The quality is top tier and the flavors of the special role are fantastic. we sat at the sushi bar and had very friendly service from the sushi chefs who were very kind and answered a lot of our questions. The pink panther roll is fantastic! The ponzu sauce is extremely balanced and the albacore is top tier. The Hamapeno (yellowtail sashimi with jalapeno) is also a favorite. Perfectly spice and well served with ponzu sauce. Our third favorite was the Marlon roll. The crispy onion adds such a new balanced flavor. We also got the creamy rock shrimp but that was just ok. We will pass on that next time and just get more rolls. The ambience is also great for a date night !

Yelp
I don't understand all the great reviews. I've tried to come here on five separate occasions over the last seven years and every time it's just mediocre. This time the service was awful. It was nonexistent and the restaurant was empty. The spicy garlic edamame is in fact not spicy just covered with Store-bought minced garlic. The shrimp toast was not only greasy but burnt and then had no flavor. With these kind of prices, they should really step up their game.

Yelp
Where have I been all these years? I have been to so many sushi spots on Ventura but somehow I never came here until earlier today. My husband and I were craving sushi and we happened to be near Iroha and decided to give it a try. We walked in and were greeted by a welcoming hostess. Once seated our waitress stopped by and greeted us took our order for drinks. We ordered a few rolls by starting with a rainbow roll (tuna inside) OMG that first taste was amazing. The fish was so fresh and delicious. It was so good that o had to order another one at the end of our meal. So we started with rainbow and ended with rainbow. Yummmm. The other rolls were also fresh and delicious. I liked it that they didn't use a lot of rice, you can taste the fish much better. And also they didn't use heavy sauces like other places. They have indoor seating and patio seating. Overall we had a lovely and amazing dinner and can't wait to come back.

Yelp
In a region where sushi restaurants are abundant, Iroha Sushi has somethings going for it. I came in a couple weeks ago with a friend and we had a good experience. The exterior and interior are pretty nice and have some character. Seating options include inside seating and a couple covered patios. To add some differentiation to the usual sushi they have some items that I haven't seen at other sushi restaurants. To name a few they have some ramens available, "burgers", and even lamb chops. We ordered some sake and beer to go along with the following and enjoyed everything for the most part. Sunomono Salad (cucumber salad) Spicy Tuna on Crispy Sushi Rice Cake Hamapeno: thinly sliced yellowtail with sliced jalapenos and a special sauce Philly Roll - Salmon, cream cheese, avocado, cucumber, smelt egg Sashimi Combination (came with a salad, miso soup and rice) - Really enjoyed the dressing on the green salad and the miso soup was great with lots of seaweed and tofu. Service was pretty good and our server was on top of things. Everything came out promptly. Everything was pretty good but nothing stuck out yet on this first visit. The sashimi was a bit too thick for my friend but I thought it was cut pretty similarly to other restaurants. Prices are pretty equal to other sushi restaurants and given the times. Parking options include valet and street.

Yelp
Really yummy Sushi place! Apparently they are also known for their spicy miso broth - who knew? I tried the regular miso soup, the Special #4 Sushi (spicy shrimp on top of Sushi rice wrapped in tuna), the green beans, and the Miso Black cod entree. Miso soup was delicious, served at just the right temperature with lots of umami flavor. The Special #4 was really delicious. Shrimp was perfectly seasoned and the sliced tuna was so fresh. The creamy, spicy shrimp balanced well with the neutral flavored tuna. Green beans were good, served in a nice brown garlicky sauce. I loved the black miso cod. Served with Japanese mushrooms. The cod was so flaky and the miso gave it a nice bite. Definitely a busy restaurant but the service was still really good despite that. All of our food came out pretty quick and the waitress was super friendly. I liked the design of the restaurant, mostly wooden interior and I like how it's hidden down a driveway out of sight. I would totally come back for another family dinner.

Yelp
This place never fails!!! I ALWAYS get the seafood soup med with noodles. Especially on raining days they just go very well together it's like a warm hug that makes you feel so good. This place is just a hidden Gem! Our food was Nicely prepared by the one and only Sergio (he is at the sushi bar). From presentation to giving us recommendations was on point. You have to try this place I recommend the Seafood soup and pink panther!! thank you by liking this post

Yelp
Nothing impressive here. The only good thing is location (Studio City) even though parking sucks. It used to be a big hype back in the day and the fish was good. But the place has gone downhill. Service is bad. Servers seem annoyed. Not friendly. You don't know who your server even is. We had to constantly remind them about our order. They brought the sushi pieces last - which is awkward. The crispy rice was basically a brick of rice. The salmon had a weird smell. Spicy Tuna was decent. Seared albacore and spicy scallop handroll were the only good items. The place is too expensive for what they offer. Then I noticed a B rating in the window. Sigh, this placed used to be different. But makes sense, there are so many other better sushi places on Ventura. And worth the price!

Yelp
So good! I had been here one time before but didn't get to write a review! Cute spot on Ventura Blvd- they have indoor and outdoor seating that's covered with a roof but it gives it a cool almost tropical vibe. The spicy tuna rice cakes are from a different world they are soooo delicious my gosh! We ordered about 7 different sushi pieces ranging from salmon belly, amberjack, yellowtail belly, scallops and a few others I can't recall right now but they were incredible. Especially paired with the chopped wasabi on top -yum! We also ordered the lemon roll which was 10/10 - the spicy tuna here is so good, not too spicy and I love that they mix it with scallions. Our server was super nice but I will say it took quite a bit to get our sushi out. We even made a joke to each other if they were catching the fish back there for us haha! All in all a great spot and we will definitely be back!

Yelp
I know this place fell off a little during Covid but so did a bunch of other businesses. However, they are back in action and actually better than it's ever been. Great place and fresh sushi with great ambience.

Yelp
I want to start off saying that this place used to be so good and we loved coming here all the time I just can't say the same anymore which sucks for us. Our last dinner here we were excited because it had been longer than we usually come and it just wasn't the same or tasty like it used to be. We usually order spicy edamame, shishito peppers, the hampeno I believe that used to be my favorite and this last time was not really the yellowtail I was looking forward too. We got some spicy yellowtail hand rolls which were good. The PK used to be my favorite it was ok like they added an insane amount of rice, the lemon roll was also a favorite but some pieces of the salmon on top had dark pieces which was not appealing or did we eat. After seeing that I truly lost my appetite. I just don't think this place is worth the price anymore don't see us coming back. Also saw a B rating yikes!
google avatar

Yelp
Iroha Sushi is always consistent in its quality and delicious food. It's pricey, but you get what you pay for, and with sushi I'd rather not skimp on quality. My go to dish was always the spicy crab miso, and although it's been a while since we've dined here, it did not disappoint tonight. The soup is so rich with flavor and plenty of heat without being overwhelming, and there is at least of cup of fresh crabmeat soaking in the broth along with several kinds of mushrooms. It's perfection in a bowl and highly recommended if you a) like crab 2) love soup 3) have tastebuds 4) want to try something amazing. I also tried the seared albacore with crispy onion and the spicy tuna tartare. Both items were very fresh and perfectly balanced. The tuna tartare consisted of fresh spicy tuna topped with crab and avocado, which was a nice combo. Iroha's staff were also fantastic tonight. The gentlemen bussing our table was so attentive and kind, and our server was equally great. I should also mention that dining on the patio is always pleasant and is great for date nights.

Yelp
This place is one of my go-tos! It's a little further from me but definitely worth it! I've been coming here for a pretty long time now and never had a bad experience. Their fish is always really fresh and yummy! We have had omakase style and also tried just ordering a bunch of different rolls and apps on our own. We also tried their spicy tuna crispy rice sandwich/burger that are so good and perf for lunch! They are really accommodating especially since you can order sushi by the piece incase you come with an odd amount of people and just want 1 piece each. We typically sit at the bar or in their cute little outdoor area. My favorites: Spicy tuna on crispy rice cakes, assorted sushi pieces, and the lemon roll (not all pictured)
google avatar

Wendy C.

Yelp
I'm told Ventura Blvd. has the most sushi restaurants of any other street in the world outside of Japan (Google it). I've been to all of them and Iroha is my favorite. Part of the reason is the white lights and calming atmosphere. The sushi is fresh and the hot food is delicious. I love their special rolls best. The only downside is the price but it is consistent with most sushi restaurants. It's not cheap. But Iroha is my go to and the best sushi spot in the valley. Try the Marlon roll!!!

Jessica C.

Yelp
Love their sushi and service! I prefer sitting outdoors it feels a little more spacious. The fish is always very fresh. You really can't go wrong with what you order. Iroha is definitely one of our go to spots.
google avatar

Lloyd B.

Yelp
Is the sushi good? Yes but OH MY GOD...this place is ridiculously expensive. You're looking at double digits for any two pieces of sushi and upwards of $15 for anything out of the ordinary. We sat at the bar and had a wonderful conversation with the sushi chef. I tried red snapper with yuzu pepper, yellowtail, salmon and tuna sushi and ordered multiples of each. Fresh and delicious! We also tried the spicy tuna over crispy rice and that was yummy too. Service is good and the place has a lot of character. The sushi is great but it's just way overpriced for what it is. The sushi bar at Katsuya in Encino is still my go to.
google avatar

Sofia P.

Yelp
I really like the style of this restaurant, and I especially like sitting outside. All of the sashimi is fresh, the spicy tuna is good as well but I would suggest just getting the spicy tuna on crispy rice rather than the spicy tuna burger. Although the burger is unique and pretty, it falls apart and is hard to eat. Service is as expected. You can't go wrong with what you order, but I've found it isn't always consistent. Last night the sauces tasted different, maybe there was a mixup?
google avatar

Cindy G.

Yelp
This sushi spot is amazing! Fresh fish, delicious rolls, and the ambiance is perfect for a relaxing meal. Plus, the service is top-notch. A must-visit for sushi lovers Definitely coming back (:
google avatar

Mansta A.

Yelp
10 stars! The fish here tasted like they just pulled it out of the water. So fresh! The lemon roll was to die for. I thought yuzu had the best lemon roll but this is 10 times better I also had their miso ramen bowl with soft shell crab which was amazing. The broth was better than any ramen place I've been to. They have metered parking available on the street or valet for $10. .

Kennedy R.

Yelp
Ordered on DoorDash to treat myself -- it was a little pricey but the reviews were so good. I ordered the lemon roll, blue crab hand roll, and the 5 kind seafood ramen. The lemon roll was great! Very fresh and interesting flavor The blue crab roll was fresh but very bland and there were pieces of the shell The seafood ramen was packed with seafood but the broth was very bland. I didnt like it at all. When I called, they explained to me that I probably ordered the wrong one as their spicy miso seafood soup has the broth with all the flavor. They apologized but didn't offer to rectify. I got off the phone but after a while I just decided to order again -/ this time I chose the spicy miso soup and some garlic edamame. Then I called to ask them to sub the broth for the soup -- the lady I talked to let me know it was too late to make the modification because my order had already been picked up. I found that to be a little frustrating as I had just spoken with them prior to ordering using the same name and method of delivery but fine I just made do with the soup -- added some chili oil and then the ramen was good to go. The garlic edamame was pretty good too.
google avatar

Jolyne C.

Yelp
Went here for the first time recently and really enjoyed it! The fish was super fresh - highly recommend the toro and salmon belly. Service was prompt and on point. As for price, just beware that it is significantly more expensive than similar restaurants, but it can be worth paying a bit more for the high quality of the fish. Valet parking is expensive so trying to find metered street parking is your best bet.
google avatar

Yelp
what a great joint. very unassuming when you walk in. But mark my words, the food and service are awesome. had the crunchy roll with spicy crab. shishito pepper appetizer were great. the carpaccio was amazing. kama, gyoza, and the sushi pizza over the top. this joint was great. will be back for sure.
google avatar

Elvira D.

Yelp
Iroha Sushi was a pleasant place with a lovely ambiance, great friendly service and unique food options. We tried a few favorites and were impressed by quality of the food and the prompt delivery. We started when miso soup with tofu and seaweed - delicious. We ordered the pink panther roll which was topped with seared albacore, the Marlon roll, the baked crab hand roll (yum), the yellowtail jalapeño carpaccio with very fresh jalapeños, and some other sides. We enjoyed our time and our service. We will come back. PARKING: Plenty of metered spots or valet parking available. Make sure you don't miss the entrance - it is behind the valet parking podium
google avatar

Patille L.

Yelp
I've been to so many sushi restaurants and I've had a variety of different fish. This restaurant I really enjoy because the quality is great. The fish is fresh and they have a big variety of different items. I love there spicy tuna crispy rice, yellowtail, albacore, and my all time favorite is the baked crab handroll. This handroll will literally melt in your mouth. The flavors are amazing!!! Service isn't amazing but the food makes up for it.
google avatar

Phil V.

Yelp
Amazing place sit at the bar, have them make you chefs choice, u won't regret it also price right.
google avatar

Mitchell P.

Yelp
Quality food, drinks, service, cool setting... everything was great! Probably 4.5 stars. Started with Suntory draft beer, which is rare and very good, and very good house hot sake. Then green beans (average), then barracuda, then hamapeno... all so fresh and flavorful. Lastly the rock shrimp spicy tuna combo roll for an excellent ending. Clean restrooms. Busy place, challenging parking, but worth it.
google avatar

Celine K.

Yelp
visited this sushi spot for the first time and there was no wait for sunday lunch. found street parking pretty easily but they also have valet. i loved the quality of their fish and the staff were friendly as well. there's several incredible sushi spots around this area and i'll be adding this one to the list!
google avatar

Noesh H.

Yelp
One of the best sushi restaurants I've been to. The sushi and other menu items were incredible. The service was more than awesome, and the ambiance felt like you were in a little botanical garden. I can highly recommend the Marlon roll, Spicy tuna on crispy rice, jalapeño sashimi, and the lamb chops. It was a bit more on the pricier side, but worth it.
google avatar

Courtney S.

Yelp
Excellent service, from the host to the server and sushi chef everyone was so nice and welcoming, really attentive and on top of any needs I may have. Food was delicious, really big menu I can't wait to come back and try other options!

Yelp
THE MOST AMAZING AND AUTHENTIC SUSHI RESTAURANT IN THE VALLEY (IF NOT LA)! We love coming here to eat, although the bill can be a bit expensive at times but we have never regretted coming here. The restaurant is cute and modest, may need a few updates here and there. The staff is alway kind and helpful!

Renee R.

Yelp
This was the best sushi I have ever tasted. I was previewing the restaurant because I am taking my special cousins to dine there later in the month. All!!!!!! of the people who worked their looked after me and made sure everything was perfect. I felt as if I were with family. The menu is more than amazing. I can hardly wait to go back! Renee N

Yelp
Came here for a friend's birthday & it was my second time here! This second time around was a much better experience and I enjoyed the food more. Service was decent and I had made a reservation in advance no problem. Would definitely come back but in the mean time I'd like to try other sushi places in the area as well. Easily accessible street parking is a plus too! The only reason I would give Iroha 4 stars is for the prices. The quality of sushi was good, but not $25 a roll good. Also the atmosphere of the restaurant is not giving $25 a roll.

Amy B.

Yelp
Amazing sushi and fast service. I've been here twice and I'll come back again for sure

Yelp
Wow, this place is AAAAMAZING. The food is sooooo fresh. and they have miso soup or ramen which is so cool! I got the lemon roll, alfred roll, snapper, kanpachi, salmon belly, soft shell crab miso ramen soup, and garlic edamame; and everything was sooooo delicious!!! There is another place in studio called sushi yuzu and they have a lemon roll there too and it used to be my fave but now THIS is my fave from this place. Sooo good highly recommend. I will definitily be bringing my friends here and it is my new sushi spot in studio. I don't think I would wanna go anywhere else. The place is kind of like a hole in the wall which is cool and the staff is so sweet and nice.

Yelp
Overpriced average sushi. The nigiri prices match those of some of the highest caliber restaurants that I've been to. The quality falls short. There is no ambiance here. The restaurant serves as a "post mates" hub. Taking mass orders in and out with trash littered around the sushi bar, workers sitting and eating inside. A hub of sorts. In fact, there was no sushi bar to even sit at this night. Just underpaid work making California rolls for the masses. Not one Itamae in sight. I didn't get anything bad, but nothing that I tried gave me the thought, oh... I want some more of that. I had a last minute date and all my regular place on Ventura was fully reserved. It seemed everywhere that I called was booked as well. Except this place. Now I know why. One star added for last minute availability. I do not recommend if you value nigiri or sashimi. Much better choices with great ambiance and an Authentic Japanese experience. They don't even pour your sake for you here. No description of the fish when it is brought to your table, it's just slapped on the table with zero etiquette or presentation. If your a roll person- this may be the place for you. BTW- the date went extremely well regardless

G. N.

Yelp
Used to be our absolute favorite. But there has been a B rating for a while now. We decided to have dinner anyway and some of the fish had a horrible aftertaste and odor. Hopefully we don't wake up with food poisoning and so pissed about it that I had to write a review. Officially done with them sadly.

Yelp
Called to make a reservation and they had openings last minute. The fish is really fresh and the rolls are full of flavor. Service was great too. A bit pricey though, but worth it for the quality of fish you're getting.

Yelp
Wow! We had such a scrumptious, yummy, satisfying dinner here last weekend. I can't believe I've never been to Iroha and I've lived in the area for over 15 years. I walk past them at least twice a day every day that I'm in town. I've seen the crowds waiting for tables here so I've always had a feeling the place was good but I'm not a real big sushi fan. My friend invited me to join him and his brother for dinner and I almost declined then told myself I should get out and go. I'm so happy that I did. We showed up at 5p on a Saturday and were sat immediately. Of course, this really helped boost my experience because I can't stand waiting for anything so had we had a long wait I may have felt different but I loved being able to sit right down to dinner. I started with a small draft Singha served in a Sapporo glass. I love a Sapporo too and I believe they also have those on draft. We ordered a bunch of food and it was all so delish! We started with the chicken gyoza and mixed tempura, both were fab! We shared the Rock n Roll roll with Spicy Shrimp (after spotting another table order it, and it looking soooo good!), Crispy Rice Spicy Tuna (my fav, I love crispy rice spicy tuna :) and a Creamy Rock Shrimp over spicy tuna roll (OMG!!!! not to be missed, soooooo tasty). I may be butchering these items, if I am we had something pretty damn close to these. My friends brother ordered two other specialty roll items which I didn't try. I LOVED every single bite of these items we shared and can't wait to go back. My son really wants to go now too, so I guess we'll be adding Iroha to our neighborhood rotation. They are open from 11A-11p which is great, if you don't want to go at a super busy time this gives you tons of wiggle room to find the perfect time. Service was fantastic, and friendly. All of our dishes came out of the kitchen in literally no time. 5 STARS all around, every aspect of our first dining experience here was superb! Metered street parking (until 8p, then free) along Ventura. If you live nearby, just walk and you can drink a bunch of sake and find your way home.

Yelp
Best quality sushi anywhere for many years. Used to frequent their sister restaurant Cafe Sushi for many years before it closed. Iroha is just as good with an incredible menu of sushi & rolls to choose from. Nowhere can you find more options on a menu for a sushi restaurant. Somehow the quality of fish is always top notch. Soooooo goood!

Yelp
I did not eat here but hubby and his mom did. She is gluten free so they had options for her down to the gluten free soy sauce. They did get me a Marion roll, which had spicy albacore wrapped in soy paper. It was delicious and my hubby and his mom liked everything they had. Will have to go back to sit down and try more things!

Yelp
Fresh and amazing dishes. Great celebrity siding. Kind of a dumpy old place, though, and the prices are slightly insane.

Yelp
Best sushi in LA. I have been loving this place for 20 years!! Double shrimp toast, Marlon roll, pink panther roll, dynamite appetizer, crispy rice with spicy tuna, sashimi salad, tuna tataki, five kinds of mushroom spicy miso soup!! The staff is awesome.
