While walking into LaGuardia Airport's Terminal B, you feel like you might possibly be dreaming. It's brand new, and between the natural light pouring in from every angle, the impossibly clean bathrooms, and the nice selection of restaurants, you're going to be happy to be there. It's a wonderful change when flying in and out of New York.
Irving Farm caught my attention immediately because I was starving and desperately wanted some coffee, so after settling in, I wandered over and perused the menu. The sandwiches looked awesome, so I ordered two -- one that was supposedly loaded with tomato, two types of greens, and gorgonzola, and also the "adult PBJ." The adult PBJ looked the most tempting, with peanut butter, two types of jam, and coconut.
We were so disappointed. The first sandwich that was supposed to be loaded with healthy items only had a few greens (no tomatoes!) and was literally dripping with excessive amounts of gorgonzola. The adult PBJ hardly had anything on it, and was so dry. You had to chew through hard coconut and it was honestly pretty disgusting.
I went back to try something else because we were starving and didn't have much time, and one of the employees was drinking a smoothie and texting instead of taking our order. I had to ask her to help me. And the turkey sandwich was equally as terrible.
Not worth it. Go to one of the other great restaurants in the terminal!
