This is easily one of the best omakase experiences I've had in Singapore. It flies under the radar with minimal social media hype and surprisingly few Google reviews, which makes it feel like a hidden gem. A friend recommended it, and I'm so glad they did, it's outstanding! The service is genuinely premium, the dishes are beautifully presented, and both the sashimi and sushi were exceptionally fresh. When I gave some gentle feedback about one of the cooked fish dishes, the chef immediately responded by preparing an extra course of fried fugu as compensation. That level of care for customer satisfaction really stood out. The location inside Raffles Hotel adds to the special feel. The chef Inoue himself was warm and welcoming, with a constant smile throughout the meal. Highly recommended if you're looking for authentic, high quality omakase without the usual crowds or over the top marketing.

A friend took me to Ishizawa for a weekday lunch as a pre wedding celebration and it was such a lovely choice. We went for one of the sushi omakase lunch sets and everything was done with care and precision. Nothing flashy, just quietly excellent sushi that lets the ingredients speak for themselves. The chefs communicated with us in limited Japanese, which somehow made the whole experience feel even warmer and more personal. There was a lot of smiling, nodding, and gentle explanation. The staff were also very attentive, always topping up tea and making sure everything was just right without being intrusive. We were recommended a seasonal sake to go with the meal and it paired beautifully with the sushi. It elevated the whole experience and was well worth it. I also learnt that this is a place you need to book quite far in advance, so planning ahead is definitely recommended. Once you step inside, it genuinely feels like you have been transported to Japan. Calm, refined, and a very memorable meal overall.

Been having Ishizawa san's food since his Shinji days. Never disappoints. He has set up his own establishment at a cosy place that was vacated by another Japanese restaurant that was helmed by a less than friendly chef then. The vibe is so different now. I skipped taking photos of the sushi and only took the omakase dishes. All great! 👍🏻

Absolutely incredible experience from start to finish. This newly opened Japanese fine dining spot is a hidden gem! The ambiance is elegant yet welcoming, and every detail feels thoughtfully curated. What truly sets this place apart is the chef—clearly a master of the craft. Each dish was a work of art, both visually and in flavor. The sushi was melt-in-your-mouth fresh, and the tasting menu was a perfect balance of traditional techniques with modern creativity. Hands down some of the best Japanese cuisine I’ve ever had. Highly recommend for anyone looking to be wowed.

Food is amazing. We were always huge fans of Shinji at Carlton and this place is run by the same folks. They actually remembered us from the Shinji days. We had the Ten Omakase which was a lot of food but well worth it. The quality is really amazing and the set up of the restaurant is cozy and welcoming.
