Island Noodles of New Mexico

Our family specifically went to town for THE noodles! It was raining so we were worried it wasn’t open. They were still up and running. Happy kids. We paid for 3 containers of teriyaki chicken. It was prepared fresh on the wok. Carrot, zucchini, broccoli, peppers & cabbage. Filled with fresh vegetables and the noodles cooked perfectly. The owners were very friendly & welcoming.

They tasted delicious and the service was great! We were done skiing and starving so we wanted something fast and to go! These noodles did not disappoint! The flavor of both the chicken and noodles was excellent, also very filling. The water is a must try too!

We went and got two vegan noodle and one teriyaki noodle. Mine had a good taste the vegan was ok. The complaint I have was the vegan one had more vegetables than noodles wish it had more noodles. The teriyaki was also lacking the noodles. For 15 bucks I think it’s over priced for not serving what they sell. The service was good and it’s made freshly but like I say for no noodles on there food and being served more vegetables for 15 is not worth it.

Amazing! This place serves two dishes: one with chicken and veggies and one is vegan. I would highly recommend the chicken. So yummy the flavor is tasted all the way through and super tender. The noodles have a million vegetables in them (well not a million but it was amazing). Even the kiddos enjoyed this meal. If there was one place I could choose to eat in Ruidoso it would be this place. Seriously, give it a try! I was also impressed that they could put three boxes into a bag for the to-go order.

I got the Teriyaki Chicken Noodles, and while they had a good flavor, they didn't quite have that 'wow' factor. The noodles were flavorful, the chicken to noodle ratio was good, but the pieces of veggies were a little too big, which made it feel a bit overwhelming. Honestly, I felt like $15 was a bit steep for what you get in terms of both flavor and portion size.

The noodles were tasty but oily. They can lessen the amount of oil used. I enjoyed the flavors and the fresh veggies.

Absolutely delicious! All ingredients are fresh, and they're cooked outside. They use a really good portion of vegetables, chicken flavour is really good, they're just tasty! Definitely coming back!

I have been wanting to try island of noodles for a while now, but just never got downtown to place an order and this being a spring break weekend I ordered through DoorDash. DoorDash was great. It was also a first time using them, just information for anyone who hasn’t used them before. As far as island of noodles, I got the option with the teriyaki chicken and let me tell you this was so good. I just cannot tell you how amazing the food was.. The noodles, the vegetables, the chicken was fantastic. I have read a couple of reviews that were not so favorable and I’m just going to say in my opinion those people are just way too picky! This is one of the most flavorful delicious meals I have had in a long time and I will be ordering soon again. I actually placed two orders because one online reviewer said the portion was too small, well it’s not it’s actually huge so I will have another meal for tomorrow!! Don’t let this one pass you by, you will be so glad you tried it!!

Amazing food, when we had an issue due to the event we were at, they helped us and got us the food we needed- amazing service!

Their chicken teriyaki noodles are fantastic every time we get them. We try to visit them at least once when we come into town.

Yum!!! We tried this place at the Cloudcroft beer fest, small portions but so good!!! we will be back when we visit Ruidoso!

Everyone loves them. I get it. To me it was just ok. We went on a Thursday to order. No real place to eat except outside in common areas which were pretty dirty. So we decided to pick up our groceries and stop by to take to go. I will say I tried not to get weirded out by the food prep work station. It was pretty dirty. Spilled food in areas and some flies. Flies jn Ruidoso happen but random food everywhere doesn't help. The noodles were really just ok. Needed more bok choy and celery, onion for texture. The chicken tastes like thighs because there was quite a bit of gristle fatty connective tissue on huge chunk a of chicken. Ya can't do chicken fat. If I do dinners over. It was a pain to have to go through my food so closely. The chicken needs to be trimmed way better and cut in smaller pieces. Also 2 orders were 27$. I probably wouldn't eat here again. It wasn't horrible. Just kinda of bland and meh.

What a nice little find here in Ruidoso, New Mexico. We ate noodles with teriyaki chicken and mixed vegetables. It was a delight.

Simple menu done right. They had two choices. We got the teriyaki chicken and ate it at Win Place or Show across the street. The chicken was great, the noodles cooked correctly and the vegetables were fresh. We did have to add some sriracha and some more teriyaki sauce. This is a good concept!

I was hungry while walking around and this definitely hit the spot for a late night greasy but not heavy food craving. Delicious and super friendly service. No place to sit but it was fine because we were walking around town anyway. Cute little spot in the outdoor

Excellent! Fast, simple, and casual! We were visiting from Tucson, and these guys working the WOK gave us tons of ideas on places to eat and go in the Ruidoso area! Very nice! They helped us carry our food to the upstairs patio area. The POG juice was excellent - perfectly sweetened - I believe this was pineapple, orange, guava? The menu is super simple - noodles and veggies with just veggies, or with veggies and chicken! We ordered with the chicken, and they filled our containers until our containers were overflowing! It was filled with fresh veggies, meat, and lots of noodles with a lightly sweetened sauce. This place is conveniently located in the middle of mid-town, and they seemed to be open when some other places weren't. We completely enjoyed this casual dinner on the patio!

Very filling and easy to eat while strolling. Both guys friendly and respectful. I will eat there again.

Award winning is right, absolutely delicious and the guys working are amazing! Definitely worth grabbing if you're working around downtown Ruidoso.

Sadly, our visit today wasn't great when it comes to the food. It tasted too much like smoke so much that we found it unappetizing. It really sucks because I was looking forward to this restaurant on our trip.

I totally agree with Liz the noodles were just ok. They were not cooked fresh the man in charge just lifted the lid of a pan and showed me the noodles, then he lifted the another lid and showed me the meat. Everything was either left over from night before or cooked that morning. I requested no meat or chicken just vegetables and that's what I got. A 4 oz cardboard container of noodles for $16.75!!! Then you get to eat on dirty picnic tables or eat them on the street. Never again!!!!!!

Staff was friendly, but food was a bit meh. Vegetables were not cut down they were huge. The taste was not all that great.

So ya only get 2 options......yummy noodles and veggies with chicken or without chicken. Both options are great! The service was wonderful and the veggies were awesome. Love this place!!!

The food was delicious as well as great service. They were open and ready to serve when we came by on a Thursday evening. We enjoyed our meal on the picnic tables next to the food stand. The weather was wonderful.

With all the hype I just didn't care for it. Good flavor, fresh veggies but the quality of the chicken just wasn't up to par with the price. Neither was the amount they serve you. Classic style noodles in a cup is a cool nostalgic twist. But my noodles were over cooked and just fell apart. We ordered noodles with chicken only for the kids and they made it seem like it wasn't a problem at all but they just tried to pick out whatever veggies they could from a reg order and failed miserably. This place has potential but I'd fix a few things.

The noodles are delicious and the staff is friendly. Not a lot of places to sit and enjoy the noodles but a few tables are in the area. Downside is that it is a bit pricey for a family of 4.

Rip-off!!! $16 for a normal portion of noodles and vegetable. Noodles were fine but worth around $7.95. Cheaper meals available in the same area. Noodles had already been cooked and were just heated up.

I loved the service and the food from this fine establishment. The owner, I believe, was a charming and polite gentleman, and I liked the way they freshly made your order in front of you. The taste was something out of this world, remarkable! It was in the middle of the shops, so it was effortless to go shopping right afterward and was within walking distance. 10/10

This little place is so great! The owner could not be any sweeter and genuinely loves what he does. The noodles were great and we had a great experience!

Very good! The two menu options were vegan noodles (noodles and veggies) for $9 and for $11 you get those plus chicken. Portion was big enough that neither my husband nor I could finish. Lots of veggies and good flavor.

We were looking forward to trying this little drive up place but the food was terrible. Very greasy and bad flavor!

Great stop for a quick lunch. Everything was really fresh. The menu is simple. To-go stir fry with or without chicken. It was a good sized portion too. They weren't greedy and where nice guys to talk to.

Highly overrated. Noodles with a teriyaki sauce and some vegetables, chicken extra. Very disappointed, apparently these folks have never had an udon noodle dish.

Island Noodles is so fresh and tasty. My family was on vacation and were told to try them out. The food is made as you order and all the veggies are cooked perfectly! I got the chicken and it was so tender. Service was fast and friendly. I definitely recommend them.

Fantastic food and amazing service! Got some noodles to go and walk down to a little outside bar. There were at least three other people having the same noodles and everyone was happy. Will definitely be visiting again and again!

Don't leave many reviews but the food was exceptional and though the talk with the owner was brief I appreciate his care for the customers and being an all around good person, only regret is I should've ordered a second dish to take home.

Very mediocre food at best. Server was friendly and attentive. We were the only customers. Food was taken from a food warmer and they had obviously been sitting there for a while. He insisted it was fresh but if was barely warm. Would not recommend this place. For the price we could have had a much better meal at a restaurant.

Just tried Island Noodles for the first time. The food was delicious. The service was excellent and the prices were reasonable. The food was fresh and hot. Even my last bite was still hot. I highly recommend this place.

We walked by and the food smelled great. They gave me a small sample and we were hooked! The employees were super friendly and the food was amazing! I don't leave reviews often but this one was well deserved.

This was the best food experience we had in Ruidoso! Simple, flavorful, and well worth the price! I wish I could take them home with me! Well worth the wait this Spring break weekend! AND I AM A HUGE FOODIE AND DON"T GIVE 5 STARS! I had terrible experiences at every other restaurant we tried in this town.

The owners of this place were super friendly. We walked by them after eating dinner one night and they offered us a pretty healthy portion to sample, even knowing we weren't planning on buying anything that night. That meant a lot to us so we had them the following day for lunch. Good portion size and very good taste. Would definitely recommend. If I would critique anything, I would say that I thought $12 is boring high for noodles. Altogether good meal and nice folks.

The soba noodles were great. I wasnt impressed with the teriyaki chicken. I didnt care for the vegetables but then I am not crazy about them. I wished they had a beef teriyaki choice.

five stars for reasonable price but basically just stir fry a bunch of frozen vegetables and chicken (saw the plastic bags) and dump a heavy amount of sauce.
