"There’s a new Caribbean spot that’s doing a two-hour bottomless brunch in Crown Heights. Grab some Calypso wings, shrimp or oxtail with grits, and either endless mimosas or bellinis at Island Ribhouse. You can also get a half BBQ chicken for $25." - will hartman

Looking for a nice, cozy place with good food, service, and drinks?? This is it! I stopped in Saturday night at 7 for dinner with a friend. The ambiance here is so cozy and welcoming, feels very homey. We were greeted by our waitress/bartender Malikka. We didn’t have reservations but we were seated right away. Her customer service was very good, especially since she was doing everything for all the tables, but she still managed to be attentive. Drinks: Lychee martini: 10/10. This is not listed on the menu but needs to be ASAP. By far the best of all the drinks we had and we had 3 rounds and it was consistently amazing! Sorrel martini: 9/10 Lemon drop: 8/10 Food: Jerk salmon tacos:10/10. An explosion of flavors Chips and guac: 10/10! Calypso wings: 9/10. Only because we prefer our wings less wet but taste was on point Coconut shrimp: 9/10 King fish, garlic mash, asparagus: 10/10! That creamy sauce for the fish was yummy! Mashed was also really good and my asparagus was cooked exactly how I like it- not soggy and with a crunch. Island pasta- 9/10. Huge portion, very tasty, just needed a bit more sauce (also a preference issue) Definitely recommend and will also be back!

The food was delicious 😋. I love the atmosphere it has a relaxing vibe with music 🎶 at the right volume. The sad part of the whole experience 😪 is leaving. It's definitely worth going back, too.

All I can say is that this place is so beautiful! Staff were so amazing and welcoming! Food was so delicious! Highly recommend the Pumpkin Rice! It’s like a Thanksgiving meal! I ordered the Sorrel Martini! Food was absolutely delicious! Marila was the sweetest server! Highly recommend coming back with more friends!

Small, quaint Caribbean bar and restaurant. It is severely hot outside and we were greeted with lemon water. Had a sorrel based alcoholic drink and she had a margarita. Started with appetizer of plantains with chunky avocado dip. Ordered beef ribs and mac & cheese, she ordered grilled shrimp and garlic mashed potatoes. Music and AC was flowing. Will be returning but DO NOT travel during rush hour.

Service was A1. Had my Birthday Dinner here and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The drinks were light and fresh and the food was flavorful and hot. We got the beef ribs, pork ribs, and bbq chicken. Fall off the bone perfection. I almost don't want to leave such a great review because I know tables will be harder to get soon. Can't wait to go back.

This delightful little restaurant is super easy to miss if you aren't looking. Thankfully, I was looking for somewhere half decent on Nostrand to sit for a while as I had time to kill. I noticed their sidewalk sign and walked in. It started presenting a nice, calm Island ambience the closer I got to the entrance. I walked in to plants, flowers and "things" on the walls. Their eclectic decor worked well in my book. The designer's blending of "mismatch" needs a high five! My pics don't do it justice. I really liked their decor and spent some time snapping pics and vids. Staff was really cool with that and allowed me to enjoy this moment. I was the only patron and it was quiet and really calming. The pleasant reggae music in the background coupled with the welcoming smile of the Server made me feel as if I was home. I wanted to do takeout but was guided by the Server to sit and enjoy my meal. This wonderful young man encouraged me to have it presented properly and he'd pack the rest for me when I was ready. He knew what he was doing because I had no leftovers! I wasn't even hungry but I ate all of my ribs and potatoes in one go! It was so yummy! The spot is small but super clean. Has that new place feel to it as well. This was 27th July, summer 2024. My meal was reasonably priced and my Server took great care of me. It's a wonderful restaurant for date night/day, birthdays, meetings, solo dinning or just to sit at their beautiful, well stocked bar at the back and do a bit of work. It's a wonder I haven't been back yet! I'll be though. The End

Excellent! Food ! Staff ! Prices!! Do not increase prices this place is a gem. No required gratuity. I could've tip freely and generously. Diverse menu. I had the pumpkin rice and king fish with sorrel. Drink menu is great as well. I will be returning.

Yelp
Friendly service and good food and great drinks, melo ambiance. Music was low enough for you to have a conversation. The owner presence was also noticed.

Yelp
Visited again tonight (Saturday) around 8pm. It wasn't too busy but there were a few other tables occupied. I was greeted right away by the hostess. I opted to sit at the bar. Malikka was the bartender/server, great personality and service! Drink: I came for the lychee martini, which did not disappoint again. 10/10!! I also had a passion fruit margarita since it was national margarita day. Also 10/10. Food: had the mussels in whit wine sauce- not a single drop of the sauce was left! Sooo good. I had the lamb chops and vegetable fried rice for my entree. I do not care for BBQ sauce so they suggested a yogurt sauce and gave me a sample before putting it on my lamb chops. The sauce was really good and paired perfectly! I had the lamb shops medium well and they were perfect! Seasoned well and so juicy! 10000/10! The ambiance and vibes in here is always so welcoming. Good music playing and everyone treats you like family. I love it here. Will continue to support this business for sure!

Yelp
I saw this restaurant on my stroll through the neighborhood on a Sunday evening and decided to stop in. Atmosphere: Intimate small but cozy, nicely decorated with splash of island vibe. The music was 90's R&B which was perfect for the vibes. Drinks: I had the Liar which is Hennessy and grand mariner topped with ginger. This drink is really good and hits. I also had the pineapple ginger lemonade which was really good. It's was a perfect mixup with a delightful taste! Food: I had the garlic mash potatoes and full rack of pork ribs. Everything comes really hot and sizzling. The garlic mash was great, freshly made and perfectly textured. The pork ribs oh my goodness, so soft and falls right off the bone and glazed with the right amount of homemade bbq sauce. The portions is big enough that I'm taking the other half of ribs and garlic mash for lunch tomorrow lol. Service: The service was really good. The waitress was very attentive, provided check-ins, gave recommendations, and always had a smile on her face. Overall: I will return to try other items on the food and cocktail menu.

Yelp
Sometimes, you just want BBQ. Well, look here...a BBQ spot on Nostrand Ave. So why not try it. My friend and I went to pick up food b/c I just didn't have the energy to be out after traveling for 2 days. I got the beef rib and potato salad. The rib was flavorful and falling off the bone. The potato salad was a little on the sweet side. My friend said that's how people in the Caribbean make it. I had to doctor it up to make it more southern. All I was missing was the egg...lol. But overall, good! My friend had the rack of pork ribs w garlic mash potatoes. She was satisfied! Saved the other half for a snack lol. The staff was super sweet when taking the to go order. We actually got a drink while waiting for the food. The pineapple ginger lemonade was sooooo good. I will come back to actually dine in. It's cute inside. I'm sure the good would be even better.

Yelp
- fantastic service - service with a gigantic smile - the homemade plantain chips were fried perfection - good pork ribs - amazing rasta pasta - superb lamb - was not biggest fan of mixed drinks - pumpkin rice did not impress me - great soca. music in background - they have bottomless mimosa brunch - TV showing the games - tasty carrot cake

Yelp
Let me start off by saying if you come here get the mussels in the white wine sauce and also the pork ribs , you will not be disappointed! The ribs fell off the bone and were seasoned and cooked perfectly. We also had the lamb chops which were also tender and seasoned well. I was told the mashed potatoes were tasty but needed a little more salt. We tried the Mac and cheese, it was okay but needed a little salt as well. The pineapple ginger lemonade was really good. The ginger wasn't overpowering at all! Our waiter was very kind and kept a smile on her face. Service was really good in my opinion. Music: soca and calypso played at a very reasonable level. Environment: it's small and intimate but the decor is gorgeous! Parking: street parking is available. I would come back for the mussels and to try a new dish.

Yelp
Went here for happy hour on a Friday. The ambiance is nice the customer service was good. One drink tasted like juice and the other you can tell had alcohol in it I don't think it was mixed equally well. the overall taste of the guava coconut was pretty good. I also wish that they had a happy hour menu because there was no prices of anything to refer by and our waitress just told us the drinks tht were happy hour and didn't tell us the price until we got the bill (which wasn't happy hour price it was $12 while she stated other margaritas are $7. i do wish she told us that prior but its okay). i think it would be better if they had a menu and also had food on the happy hour menu as well. I will go back again and try their food next time

Yelp
Ambience was everything it needed to be. The service was great. Food wasn't the best that I've ever tasted, but I would go back. The drinks definitely worth the money.

Yelp
Birthday Dinner here, table of 4. Wednesday evening, early enough so it was still happy hour, turns out it was national Tequila day and the margarita's were $5 dollars all night. There were about 2 other tables occupied so our server was very attentive. The drinks weren't too strong but good enough to have 3 and make it to work the next day. On to the food, our table ordered the beef ribs, pork ribs and bbq chicken, sides were island pasta, mashed potatoes, and corn on a cob. When I say all the meat fell of the bone I mean it, I'm not exaggerating. Also, it's important to note the food came HOT. I know that's expected but it isn't always the case. Each dish was full of flavor and not salty. Each of us had enough for lunch the next day. As it was my birthday I got a slice of cake and a birthday song, the whole restaurant sang to me, but they also gave me a hand written card which the staff all signed wishing me a Happy Birthday, I thought that was a great personal touch. I will absolutely be back here to try other dishes, although its a BBQ spot they have a lot of seafood options. Most of the food here is made to order so be sure to pack your patience and enjoy the great music, I promise you it's worth the wait.

Yelp
The owner of this establishment is a dirty, underhanded woman who refuses to pay vendors for products she received. Currently taking her to court after over a year of trying to get paid amicably. She ducks and hides so don't expect them to be there too much longer. Dirt always catches up with you.
