The Best Jamaican Restaurants In Miami - Miami - The Infatuation

"This hot bar in Miami Gardens is making excellent brown stew chicken, sorrel, and spicy beef patties. Everything is served in takeout containers, but their cushy booths and bumpy Jamaican playlist are convincing reasons to stay and eat. They’ll ask if you want gravy poured onto your rice and peas. There is only one right answer—yes. They sell out of beef patties around 3pm, so come before that happens. These glorious flaky creations have a sneaky kick and are too easy to inhale in seconds." - virginia otazo, ryan pfeffer, mariana trabanino

Where To Get A Takeout Container That Could Tear A Bicep - Miami - The Infatuation

"The takeout box from Island Tings tends to overflow with gravy. So place a towel on your car seat on the way home. The Jamaican steam counter makes tender brown stew chicken and provides generous portions of it. Get it with rice and peas and even though there will be spillage, say yes to the additional gravy pour. One box is enough to satisfy two people, but don’t leave without a spicy beef patty as a form of savory dessert." - mariana trabanino, ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo

The food speaks for itself…DELICIOUS. The rasta punch was good too and Brianna at the front was nice as well. Please open a location in Cutler Bay/Florida City area!

OMG! Ive been searching for GOOD Jamaican food for the longest! This by far is one of the best spots ! The flavors are always on point! Most time I order from UBER EATS … today I came in person and the vibes matched the quality of the food! So happy to work in the neighborhood:)

Sometimes they give you a lot of food sometimes they don’t depending on the employee that’s working at the moment they pick and choose who they want to give more food to. I love coming more when it opens during the daytime because that one girl with very short hair that works there in the morning treats me super good and always hooks us up wow, the people in the evening have more of a nasty attitude. The food is good just wished that the portion that they gave you was equal to everyone, not just who they pick and choose.

I visited this restaurant based on an app. It was almost closing time but the app instructs you to come at specific hours. The doors were locked and entrance was obtained when the lady patron was leaving. Service was quick, food selection of various Caribbean foods was abundant. I bought 2 plates: brown stew chicken & curry chicken, both with rice & peas with cabbage. It may have been Caribbean but it was seasoned to perfection, just enough to say there seasoning. Overall it worth a try.

This place is crazy unprofessional not gonna lie to you… I went in on a Sunday, a little after church hoping to get some good food and support a black owned business. I was met with a line of 5 people ahead of me and only one girl was able to take my order.when asked, the other young lady on the line said that she “wasn’t allowed to make plates for customers or ring people up” which was extremely weird to me. It took about 15 minutes to even get my order in and another 15-20 for them to make it. Not to mention the portion sizes are subpar. The food was good but that’s about it.

The rasta pasta with chicken and shrimp was absolutely the best I’ve ever tasted in my life. It was bursting with flavor and packed with delicious spices. I loved the addition of plantain—it paired perfectly with the dish. I will definitely be ordering from this restaurant again. My new favorite!

The food is decent. The problem is them skimping the customers through the 3rd party partners like “Too Good To-Go” and “Uber eats”. If uber eats offers buy 1 get 1 free on the large plates why are they (Y’ALL) sending these small kiddy plates to customers because y’all don’t want to honor the actual promotions giving by the third parties? The proof is in the reviews. This is the second time they’ve done this and i spoke to someone about it but clearly the memo wasn’t put out or they just simply don’t care. I ordered delivery trying to give them another chance but nothing has changed. This will be my last time. The third party just needs to cut ties. My plate is the first picture (Not even a medium plate)…. How the large plate are suppose to be is the second pictures (another customers picture & review). I’ve been to the restaurant before outside of third parties and that’s when they’ll give you the correct size plate but when it’s third party or discounted with a promotion they give you the tiny plates.
